After long flights, I wanted to call the room on 09/27/2018 at 00.45. And at registration they tell me that my number is not ready yet !!! That there are 3 more guests sitting in line and waiting for their rooms to be put in order. Then I will ... Imagine, they tell me that the hotel is overcrowded and that the rooms are not ready yet. I stopped at 6 o'clock to get some sleep. And they tell me "wait", but they don't say how much. "Maybe half an hour" !!! And maybe until the morning ??? What is this mess ??? In the end, after emotions, they give me a smoking room ... although I have never smoked. And the smells of tobacco are everywhere. The answer to all this is simple "You can complain. Write our names. We cannot do anything. This is the reservation department." The booking department at that moment was probably sleeping sweetly ...
If I had stopped by at 15.00, as expected, I would not have been given a number until morning ...
In general, potential guests, don't mess with this hotel. This is a "fake" Holiday Inn, not a real hotel ...

3 Star Experience Guaranteed. With average rooms, average food, average service and with there being very little to speak of around the hotel, you are guaranteed to have a forgettable time at this Holiday Inn.

Clearly in need of a freshening up, it serves it's purpose when one is stuck in Almaty unexpectedly.

Plus - very comfy beds. Negative - pretty bad and lumpy pillows.

Plus - decent breakfast and tasty dinner.

Plus - gym.

One thing to note, since the hotel appears to be Turkish managed, the overall temperature is like in Turkey, much too warm for Europeans.

Would stay again if Air Astana sends us there again.

I think there is also a national character, but be careful as the staff is laid back and makes various mistakes.
Checking billing items at checkout is mandatory. It is better to have a natural feeling such as double billing. Others The hotel itself is not so bad or bad.

This is a semi boring 3-star hotel. Rooms are adequate and clean, but sterile and boring in appearance. The hotel bar has sufficient stock, but lacks any touch or soul to it and it s over-lit and prices are not good value. Gym is small, but again - adequate. Breakfast is not bad and has proper coffee served, by an always nice breakfast staff. This hotel is at lower end of business hotels by western standards, and nearby hotels Intercontinental and Ritz is much more suitable for business travellers - even at double or triple the price tag.

Normal business hotel. Prices are reasonable, but the number of rooms is rather worn out and there has not been a long renovation. So the minimum level of comfort for a business trip. The problem of the hotel is noisy ventilation and air conditioning. It is impossible to fall asleep under it even with a minimum level of air supply.

I stopover in Almaty for 18 hours. I booked Almaty Holiday Inn room just for 2 dollars. Thank you Astana Airlines. Hotel was nice and comfortable. In the morning open buffet breakfast was good. It was different type of breakfast for me. Some similar with Turkish breakfast. But if you have stopover flight in Almaty, coming to Holiday Inn hotel coukd be some hard. From airport you need to get a bus and near an hour need to spend in the bus than you have to walk around 20-25 min for arrive to hotel.

The pleasant green color in the interior is really soothing .. And the orange elements give warmth to the soul .. Great bed. Rooms in high-tech retro style .. Stunning views of the mountains .. Excellent breakfast. Best service. At least the staff is trying very hard ..

Far from being new and not the freshest hotel. Very worn out by time. The price is very overpriced, you'd better pay extra and live in a normal place. Dustiness is right in everything, a feeling of staleness.
Cons:
1. Awful pressure of water in the bathroom, I would even say its absence.
2. Air conditioning in the room does not work, or rather, the air is constantly blowing warm (it was in April 2021) and there is about zero sense from it.
3. View from the window, some of the rooms overlook an abandoned construction site with cellophane and rags hanging on the concrete, which are fluttering in the wind. The sight is terribly depressing.
4. The room is stuffy, the air conditioner does not work, there is no use from the window.
5. Very expensive food (and not the most delicious).

From the pros:
1. Location.
2. Friendly staff.

The hotel is not bad, not outstanding in any department but functional. Like one of the previous reviews I am waiting to get $1500 recredited to my account a week ago!

Room service menu is nice and personally found the staff to be helpful if at times aloof

I was not in this hotel, but today my daughter visited him, was invited for an interview about employment. She did not expect such comments from an international-level hotel employee, and I m generally in a frenzy. The fact is that the daughter has extra weight, but it does not give the slightest right to your employee to criticize the applicant, and even in such a harsh and dismissive form. I won't leave it like this. In your requirements for applicants, report the allowable height and weight, in this case. But to insult people no one gave you the right.
