Holday Inn Almaty Review

Good business hotel. Room, bed, all on the level. Breakfast is varied, the food is delicious. Not enough TV channels, and the gym could be bigger.

Single beds are very narrow, no slippers, view of the construction site, small breakfast room

Great hotel. The staff are quite helpful and relatively friendly. The gym is adequately stocked and open 24 hours. Easy to get to and good location. Breakfast had things for most everyone. Restaurant okay but most people would probably want to go out for meals. Definitely recommend - have stayed in many hotels in Almaty and this one is solid.

In every corner there is garbage in the room. The service at the reception is lame! There are no basic items! slippers, toothbrush, no bathrobes! We lived there for 3 days and were asked to bring it for three days!

After a long absence from the country, on August 19, we arrived from Dubai to Almaty, all of our employees booked a hotel on our recommendation Holiday, as before the office of the ex-company was nearby. Stupid guards called girls of easy virtue and "bargained" right at the entrance, although the staff made a remark to the "security" and did not try to draw attention to it, apparently for them trade was more important than work. At the same time, families with children stay at the hotel.

Nice clean hotel. Relatively close to the airport even though traffic can be a bit of a pain. I stayed at the hotel as a stop over to Atyrau. Friendly staff and they even had a UK adapter for me because I forgot mine as usual.

One of the best hotels in Almaty, the location and architecture of the building is very impressive for guests and locals. Nearby is the Forum Mall, the Kcell head center, nearby the Medeu PSC below the Akimat of Almaty

Good hotel in a great location. Close to almost everything you need in the city. Mountain views are good from most sides of the hotel. They provide a bottle of water complimentary with your stay which is great since Almaty is so arid in the summer. Everything worked well in the room and was definitely up to Holiday Inn brand standards. There are a lot of reviews of sketchy hotels in the city, but you won't go wrong here. The rates were also pretty decent.

taxi services sucks. the cab didn't come on time which was ordered through otel reception. they didn't even apologize for more than half hour delay. breakfast was even was not satisfactory. hams were always deadly fried like chips.

Nice place for a business trip stay. Used to book it for my business trips since 2013. Service level what one might expect from Intl brand. Breakfast is not very wide selection of meals, and you have to ask for a boiled egg ))

Staff at this hotel wants to bend over for white race and thorws attitude to others. Very bad service, staff is just unhappy at this hotel and making other's life unhappy also. Water dripping from ceiling, walls are damaged, dirty tables, chair are damaged.

Desk clerks refused wife's passport, later charged the extra for two occupancy separately. Also no water in the room upon move in as stated, on check out charged for water used separately in cash.

I always thought Holiday Inn was kinda trashy because the name seems so to me but actually it was great! Multilingual staff, excellent room design, a plan could always be made. Went in with low expectations and very positively surprised.

Good breakfast with a wide selection. The rooms are of normal size, not microscopic, with a normal bath, not a shower. There are rooms for smokers. In the lobby bar around the clock.
Do not take a taxi at the reception, use Ya.Taxi, overpayment of 3-4 times.
