Holday Inn Almaty Review

It has all the basics and the staff is very friendly. The rooms need updating and the carpets feel old and dusty, but the rooms are otherwise clean. The breakfast is decent enough and has some options. The holiday Inn is good if you want to stay cheap in Almaty, but for a real comfort stay I would recommend other hotels.

Feeling like at home, they have all types of pillows in each room,it's really awesome. If you need a firm or soft one, preferrable material you need, syntgetic ,natural down or feather and of course antu-allergic. And also here in breakfast time you enjoy their great playlist.

The hotel is generally OK, but is located far from the center of town and almost no restaurants around it. The hotel definitely requires urgent renovation and to improve the WiFi connectivity, which is intermittent in the rooms. The breakfast is average. Its definitely on the bottom of my rating's list in this great chain.

The Holiday Inn in Almaty is located in the place eligible for us. Therefore we have booked two rooms for our visitors from the Netherlands for two nights, 23-24 January 2013. It seems the hotel's top management do all their best for success of the hotel. But it does not touch the staff at reception. I paid for stay of my visitors by my credit card on Thursday, 24th January. Today is Monday, 28th January, still I cannot get the payment confirmation! Almsot every day I ahev contacts with the Hotel's receptionists, and today I've been called by the accountant. Results are still 0.

It is our second experience with this hotel. First time it was bad service provided to our visitor from the European Parliament. I offer to everybody who respects their time, to do not stay at this hotel. You will lose your nerves and time to get confirmation for your payment, and will get experience to contact with rude people at the reception.

Great place for events, conferences and meetings. Always clean, the staff vigilantly follows the convenience of their guests.

Terribly cleaned up. Upon arrival, I found that the bathroom was not cleaned and there were foreign objects, stains, hair, etc., after 3 days they were not removed (Although, like the bed was collected.
Upon check-in, the reception was told to check if there was a bathrobe and slippers, if not, then I can call them and they will bring (LOL
- checked, it was not. In the morning I called and asked to bring a bathrobe, slippers and shaving cream - they promised that everything would be done in 5 minutes. It took 40, no one brought anything.
The room was not cleaned because in the morning I gave a sign not to disturb, but when I went out, the cleaners cleaned the next room, but they decided that it was not necessary to clean everything like that.

Leaky curtains. My window overlooks the road, the noise of cars makes it hard to fall asleep without an earplug.

A good place for a person to them on a business trip. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, breakfast for every taste.

New style hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable. This is my second time here, this time I try also hotel restaurant

Given the fact that this is four star hotel it was not up to the expectations. The room carpet was dirty. There were no slippers provided before hand. I had to ask and wait for it. There is a soap dispenser in the toilet which doesn't works at all.
This hotel is just opposite to a road where there are continuous vehicle movements and if you are unfortunate enough to get a road facing room then forget about sleeping as the sound of vehicles playing on road will be killing.
Just a okay kind of hotel very far away from the expected service experience.

Very disappointed in the services, the food in the restaurant on the buffet as in 3 star hotels, like a lot of things, but all the food is not very good, the internet is sooo weak, although they promised good, there was a strong need for it. They conducted technical training, the staff did not get through with it and the third time. The food at the coffee break was delicious. I hope that everything will change for the better, someday))

They provided a junior suite because there was no standard. It would seem to rejoice! But a very dusty carpet on the floor. The room has a wardrobe in which there are no coat hanger for clothes. In addition, there is a closet in which these shoulders are fixed, apparently so that no one is fired. But if there is a wardrobe, why take up space with a wardrobe ?!
Blackout curtains - which is an endless plus, but they are like a sieve, which is a minus. The hotel is located next to a multi-lane road and the noise from it is very audible, apparently there is no sound insulation or it is sooo weak.

Being into industry I expect so does client would expect Hospitality, but his hotel is no way near to it.. No one to assist with your luggage, a very cold front desk like a guest houses have completely untrained people on the desk..

I checked inn with all my luggage pulling alone they just kept looking, then gave different floors to us, post then room told was 311 and key didn't worked and after 3 calls and 20 min guy turned inn saying this is wrong room key they gave and the room they gave, the carpet is ridiculously n bad position full of dust on it..

Well, it does not pull at four stars. The walls are dirty, the shampoo sucks and other inconsistencies.
Price-performance ratio does not correspond at all. Breakfast is not adequate. It feels like you are in a two-star hotel.

I like the conference room, it was three times, there are sometimes not enough parking spaces.

Unreal hot. Why was it impossible to think that in the winter at the conference in the hall the people would not be wearing summer clothes ??? In the end, all soared in winter shoes in a terrible heat ....

We had a conference. I want to highlight the excellent work of one waiter, a young guy, his name is Berik, short, wearing glasses. He fulfilled all requests with lightning speed, very open, friendly. It can be seen that he did everything sincerely, from the heart. I propose to reward him, such diligent employees are rarely seen now. Appreciate it.

I can not understand why all the worst things about the trip are connected with the Holiday Inn. The breakfasts are not tasty, the staff is not worried about their work.

Beautiful interior, polite staff, cozy atmosphere, the restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, a variety of dishes in a beautiful and very tasty performance.

For two days, an electric generator hummed in the street, a garbage truck arrives after 23:00, interfering with sleep. Dilapidated, thin towels, shine through, as if beaten by a moth. Previously, there were pillows to choose from, now they are all stale, like felt boots in pillowcases. The mattresses are even more or less.
No shampoo, only poor quality shower gel in both bottles, although one of them says shampoo . Hand soap is like a piece of stone - it doesn't wash. So take all the accessories with you, or choose your hotel carefully.
Revolving doors at the entrance do not work (all 4 days that I lived there). The single-leaf door is not automatic, no one will help you enter and exit with bags in hand. The guard is standing "for furniture."
The waiters and housekeeping are very intelligent and helpful.
When we checked in, the air conditioner threshed like a leper for heating - it was hot. I turned it off, but I understood why it was turned on - at night, through the ventilation, the smell of cigarette smoke comes in, possibly from neighboring rooms.
Breakfasts are average. It gets worse.
Holiday is not the same. Disappointment.

At this moment best bang-for-bucks hotel in Almaty. But like every other place it needs good maintenance... Otherwise...

I am in Holiday right now. Good service. The kitchen is generally very tasty very. The bed is big. The only bad thing is that there are no large shopping malls and grocery stores nearby.

As we knew, Holiday Inn is quality hotel around the world. Especially, Room is very clean.
