February 20, 2019: The HMV store at 363 Oxford Street is CLOSED, permanently closed. There are practically no addresses in central London where you can buy CDs, DVDs and Blu-Rays, apart from Fopp, 1 Earlham Street, near Leicester Square. It's really sad.
I think this is the last HMV in London. CDs, DVDs, merchandise.

An official music shop and various merchandise, a concrete Emp, suitable for those who love rock, metal, TV series, Harry Potter but not only. T-shirts, mugs, books, CDs, DVDs and funko pops ... prices not really inviting but not necessarily prohibitive. 20 pounds x 2 t-shirts ... well come on ... take a stroll because it deserves ...
Staff very helpful you can buy CDs and they're not in the supermarket
This store must continue to exist. It is more and more complicated to find where to buy new films or records. The choice is wide and allows you to snoop around and search and explore.
Friendly staff quick service always an enjoyable experience
Far too busy, too many stores that give an Amsterdam feeling, so completely filled with the same stuff as fake designer clothes, fake caps with texts like 'baller' 'london' 'gangster' and of course 1001 different shirts ordered in China with all the glitter combinations I love London spelled. Really unpalatable.
Very helpful front of store staff. Selection across the genres always good - Beatles to The Sixteen via Charles Bradley and Tracey Thorn . Great to see HMV back on track
This is the kind of place you want to visit if you are looking for all types of music, cds, dvds, cds, books, or tshirts. We rcently went there looking for a certain LP that we couldn't find in another HMV shop and the helpful staff on cite helped us locate it.
i loved it! came here with a friend and had a look at all the albums. lots of offers and has everything!
Still a great place for vinyl (I'm glad HMV have kept it in most stores and even brought it back to some) Oxford street store is very well stocked and the fact HMV has sold music on Oxford street for over 96 years says a lot!

Very good store for those who still love physical media! Huge selection of blurays and dvd, all catagorized in seperate sections (world cinema, horror etc).
Only downside is they have those 5 for 30 offers, whereas Fopp offers the same products for 6 quid each.

A good choice of vinyls. It's still a bit expensive but we are in London, so nothing very surprising. Many geek t-shirts at generally good prices, especially during specials.

Neither Belfast nor Londons stores have the sizes -medium- of the 2 tshirts im after. But goodfor cds. Could do with a better selection of graphic novels.
I bought vinyl for the first time in years. They had what I wanted and they were very helpful. My girlfriend is disabled and they found her a chair to sit on awhile I went round the store.
Yes there may be some great indy record stores, but this is one of the greats and it's still standing. Massive selection of vinyl upstairs along with dvd Blu-ray's.
The paradise for a music lover like me, a variety of CDs and vinyl that you can not find in Spain. And also many movies, it's a shame that they closed the piccadilly circus hmv, now there's only this one in all of London ...

An Aladdin's cave for any real Music lover or Film Buff. And the flagship store on Oxford Street more than lives up to it's excellent, formidable reputation. Aided by friendly and most informative staff. Just be prepared to literally lose yourself for hour's, by the wonderment of it all....
Music, videos and games are a hard sell from a bricks and mortar establishment these days, but HMV do a good job with enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff. Frequent discounts and sales can provide bargains.

Sadly CD's and DVD's are a dying breed. They have a grest selection of music and movies but need to add more funky trendy novelties to generate interest.

Generally a fairly good selection of music which is restocked frequently. Staff are quite helpful and actually listen and are willing to help.
