Great to have HMV back on the high street - prices are mostly comparable to online stores so its great to be able to just browse around and pick things up you never expected.

A visit here is part of every London trip. The selection of films is great and every now and then you can make a good bargain.

For music lovers it is definitely worth visiting, obviously you will find both vinyl and CD declarations, but also videos and many other gadgets, the salespeople are kind and ask you if they can help you, which is useful if you are looking for something in particular. I spent a whole morning with my friend Randy going around the shop without getting tired and obviously we came out with a lot of records

Fantastic shop. All your entertainment requirements meet. From dvds, cds and now a large selection of vinyl lps too. Staff are very knowledgeable and very happy to help

Love this Kind of media-stores (CD, LP, DVD, Blurays, Comic-Books and some Merchandising on 3 floors) where you can spend hours to find anything from new rock/Pop to older like classic, or Bing Crosby, Sinatra. Even german singer Caterina Valente can be found there. Also there is a Corner of movie Musicals. Fazit: love this store

HMV Oxford street is nice with friendly service and assistance, a large selection CD-BR-CD-Vynil-and other music itemsof items; worth a visit

If you are looking for an old dvd disc or rarity is the place to find it

I'm still excited about the store. Although only some films have a German soundtrack, but still the store is absolutely awesome! The selection of movies and movie packages, characters, t-shirts, comics, music, books, and and and is insane. And all at incredible prices. Sometimes new films were even cheaper than older ones ... Of many films there are even special limited-edition covers. So I was absolutely flashed from the store and wish we had one in Germany near me.

It is not as big as it used to be on Oxford Street but you could still find some good stuff. Friendly staff working there.

Very good music store and vinyl. They also have t-shirts and other merchandising products from musical groups.

So sad to learn that this store is closing, nearly 100 years after it was first opened by Edward Elgar. Where will I browse records now :(

The biggest HMV store I've ever been in, with the biggest collection of hard copy music I've even seen! Great for DVDs and music playing tech too! Plus I went to a live album singing for one of my favourite artists and it was ace!

Big range of music and films with plenty of other merch on offer too.

Ran in as soon as I saw it while visiting London. There were awesome deluxe edition Def Leppard CDs that I never knew existed. Good prices but could be cheaper.

Great selection of t-shirts, great DVD offers. I came all the way just so l could buy Deadpool on Blu Ray Hmv edition with exclusive postcards. That's how much of a fan boy l am.

Decent enough HMV store, not quite as big as I expected but still larger than most.

The people who are giving bad reviews and low star ratings should just quit. Be thankful that I flag shop has reopened and doing what it can to provide quality shopping and great great prices to still give that old school, always hip and cool shopping feeling where you actually get off your lazy digital ass and actually shop for a physical book, film or album in beautiful packaging and limited edition extras such as booklets...Etc Where u actually can build a physical library where you really feel the presence of what u got and really feel like u bought something when u go out and handle that lovely shopping bag and not leave everything to soulless, passionless, anti collector digital nothing I can imagine those lazy asses wanting to have even their underwear in digital form so that they don't have to move or wash it This is just the age of no passion, hobbies or love And still hmv are rocking the sales front so In ur face

Well, It's a bit awkward as HMV is going into administration today. Staff very helpful but it must be worrying for them. I spent my gift vouchers. Hope shop survives.

A veritable Aladdin's cave on at least three floors. A wide range of products, though not as varied as before financial problems a few years ago. Nevertheless well worth a visit, although there are other shops which compete

The best store for supply and variety, excellent not only for CDs and movies, but also for gadgets of various types!

One of the landmarks in London shopping tours... Variety, good prices and the fact that this place had a lot to do with the Beatles first recording their hits make this shop one not to be missed... Hope it is there for ever!!!

Great selection of CD's, Films and Merch. Huge store, which is expected being their flagship.

I came there only to see if they have any k-pop albums and they do(!) even though there's not a lot of them. They also have graphic novels, posters and funko pop figures, which I find amazing. Also a variety of cds and different directions of music! (Only four stars for the little amount of kpop albums)

I can spend hours here, browsing through all the blu-rays and dvd's. The collection is deliciously large, so if you're into movies, there's always something you want to take home.

Did not carry games as I've hoped but does have a good range of music.

Really helpful and chilled staff here. My only problem with the store is they keep selling faulty Skullcandy earphones - they keep breaking every two weeks, I get a replacement, the same thing happens..

HMV was a British institution sadly vastly reduced in scale. Always worth a visit.
