This store offers a wide choice of music, video games, film or merchandising. Chances are you will find what you are looking for.
As long as you are not afraid of English, there are great promotions on complete series in English subtitled vo.

I love hmv but the staff I encountered were pretty miserable

One of the last places on the High St that you can buy Music, Films and Games.
Shame the store can't support it with just those items they also sell a load of rubbish you don't want. Usually have to make your way through that to get what you want.

Great selection of music in many formats including vinyl.

It doesn't mean a lot anymore these days but HMV is still my favourite record shop.

Large HMV spread across three floors. Great location too.

I love this place, it's a shame that many of this shops are closing down! It has a wide selection of dvd/blu-ray, t shirts, videogame... Prices are low and there are often discounts.

There didn't seem to be as much choice in the CD section as their used to be. Downloads and the reemergence of vinyl may have contributed to this.

Went to see Frank Turner at HMV live show and signing. The way we queued was odd outside on main street security were sort of controlling it but seemed preoccupied.

Entered HMV went upstairs to top floor however queued around shop floor with customers struggling to do their shopping.

Once entered venue properly up a flight of stairs the room was medium sized was airy and had good sound acoustic was of good quality. Frank Turner himself was amazing guy open arms chatty and a laugh throughout event. Will be looking out for further events

Still the best shop to go and have a look instead of looking on Internet. With ur eyes.30 years I've been going to hmv.good on them.

It's shame to hear about the troubles HMV is having as there Oxford street store is still a great place to shop for music, I love that there upstairs sections caters for the modern vinyl revival and I've snagged a few bargains there as well

Decent store with a wide variety of entertainment products over three floors, best for music and movies, their game department has been steadily getting smaller over the years, the store is kinda cramped which would make things uncomfortable during busier times.

Huge store dedicated especially to music and film, has several plants where you can find all kinds of music, movies and series, as well as merchandising of all this and audio devices. All well organized so that it is easy to find what you are looking for. As for prices, they tend to be somewhat more expensive than elsewhere, but they offer many offers, so you can always find a bargain.

I visit weekly just because it's my favourite place for music and blurays. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly.

Fantastic selection of music, I have purchased from here twice recently, and have found exactly what I'm looking for, and more.
I could have spent a small fortune in here, as such an abundance of choice is to be found.
I highly recommend this store, for all your needs in the entire chasm of The World of Music.

Major cues but still good to buy music on the highstreet.

I visit this Shop everytime I go to London. Great choice at a time where records shops disappear.

had good day out there on 14/10 however my only criticism is their lift was out of order as I'm disabled lady who uses a walking stick, had to walk a long flight of stairs. Also my friend was not allowed to take her child's wheelchair upstairs which is used fulltime.

It has that old gramophone records shop like vibe. It is an amazing place for audiophiles with all types of headphones and for all music lovers. They have music cds, records,etc. They have a very friendly staff and is on of the best streets in London.

Don't ring them on a Sunday ...it gives the opening times on a Sunday from 12.00am. On calling their business rate 0843 number an automated response tells you all the options available and which number to press...after being held on the line for almost two minutes ...it then announces ....we don't take calls on Sundays !

So much fun coming here. They have a very good selection of music, film, TV and merch. Just wish the old HMV was still open that was massive as the only problem with this store is it can feel a little small/cluttered. Definitely worth a browse if you're looking for something you can't find online.
