My husband and I arrived at the hotel on November ...
My husband and I arrived at the hotel on November 30 after a 7 1/2 hour flight from Europe. Upon our arrival the line up to check in was extremely long , around 70 people waiting to check in ( a company Christmas party) . As we were extremely tired from the long journey we decided to wait until the line up decreased a bit and so purchased a beverage from the lounge. It was very apparent that there were literally 100 s of people checking in. We discovered there were two large company Christmas parties taking place that evening. There were only two check in agents at this point. I went to ask if it would be possible, since we were not part of the large groups, if she wouldn t mind checking us in as we d been waiting almost an hour ( admittedly not in the lineup). The agent told us that she couldn t help us and we d just have to join the line. At this point we counted 87 people ahead of us. We are an older couple in our 60 s, my husband has difficulties with mobility.
After 2 hours , they finally brought two extra check in Agents to help with the volume, we joined the line up and checked in. The Hotel was completely unprepared to check in that amount of people at the same time. They advertise themselves as an Airport Hotel so it would have seemed logical to have one agent designated to guests who did not belong to the company groups. I dread to think of the chaos should there have been an emergency.
