This place is a train wreck. First of all we rented a 2 bedroom villa. The villas are not near the main hotel but all the way down the road behind an extremely noisy shopping center. If you want to go to the main pool that they show on their website you have to call them to pick you up - very inconvenient with two toddlers. It's WAY too far to walk. Second the internet doesn't work in most of the villas. It works in the pool area but no where else. So trying to work here has been impossible. The manager "looked into it" (taking hours of my vacation time), didn't manage to fix it, and hasn't followed up with me since. Overall the place is dated, the kitchen hardly has any cookware or utensils, the freezer is missing all the shelves. And that noisy shopping center? The garbage trucks running everyday at 5:30 am 6 feet from the bedroom window wake up my 4 year old every morning. I would never stay here again and seriously believe Hilton is not worth the money.

This property is lovely. We stayed in the villas which were well worth it. Two Bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, dining area, kitchen and patio. We ordered room service and it arrived just as expected. Everything was clean and comfortable.

We stayed in the Villas and had a wonderful and pleasant experience. The rooms were beautiful beyond our expectations, the hotel staff was very personable and attentive to the guests needs and made every effort to ensure an enjoyable visit to their resort. Truly, a very fine Hilton property.

Stayed for two sets of 4 nights.

The first four nights was great the lady that checked us in on the 7th August was brilliant. We stayed at one of the villas which was great and massive, the accommodation is well suited for a family of four, beds were heavenly with a large kitchen with all the laundry and cooking amenities you will need for a holiday.

The second 4 nights was just unbelievable first of all I had to drive back and forth 5 times cause the keys to the gate entrance will not work even after I was told they were sending the engineer over it still did not work the 5th time. And when you asked for something from the front desk which was constantly engaged it took them 72 hours to respond to your request.

Then on my last day Jennifer the receptionist did not respond to my good morning, when I told her we had stayed in the room on the Arizona heat for 5 hours without A/C her response with an attitude was that did I call to report it - why should I, when my experience of the hotels response to any requests takes 2 days and as I was checking out on the day so I could not be bothered. And Jennifer attitude is the worst I have come across staying at a Hilton hotel and I know she can do better based on my experience during my first stay at the hotel.

So finally based on my two stays at Hilton Scottsdale Resort on the basis of my second stay I will not be recommending this hotel to friends or anyone

I stayed here while visiting Scottsdale and got a villa since it is their largest accommodation and offers more privacy than a regular room. Size and layout of the Villa's are great.. BUT they are very old, outdated and not well kept.

The central air-conditioning in the villas are so old that the ducts are rusted on the inside and you immediately smell metal when entering the room and throughout your stay. The smell of metal was so strong that I could smell it on my unworn clothes even after getting back home.

After coming back from dinner the first night I walk into the kitchen and see long whiskers from underneath the cabinet. It's a giant cockroach! I try killing it but it falls down and goes underneath the stove. I look around and discover that it came from an open hole in the wall in back of the cabinets which also had wiring which was exposed. I call the front desk and they send someone over to spray, good effort but I was uneasy the rest of my stay.

The TV in the living room was mounted so high and deep above the fireplace that you literally had to stand up every time you wanted to use the remote.

Overall I was very disappointed with my stay here and this has definitely shied me away from staying at Hilton properties going forward.

For this price I had expected a better experience! 1st of all door rooms and walls are too thin. I could hear everything outside and especially the vacuum at morning. Also it looks kind of old for an Hilton. But the staff is great and it's a great location.

Portions were petite and cold. Thought in today's day and age a cash bar would be able to be as functional as a food truck and accept credit cards, but no. Just cash. Other than that, I think it was ok.

Not a terrible hotel. Service is a little iffy. For example, the fitness center has posted hours of 6 am to 10 pm. However, security informed me since they ve got guests staying at the hotel from all corners of the globe, they ll open the fitness center outside of posted hours by request. Sounds great, right? The first day, they did just that - opened the fitness center early for me. The second day, the guy at the front desk straight up refused to even ask security. No reason provided as to why. I let him know it was done just the day prior and the reasoning I was given for why the hotel made the accommodation. The front desk guy begrudgingly offered to coordinate with security when he saw him, but would not call or radio the request in the interest of time. It was 4am, so certainly not a busy time for the guy at the front desk. He was on his cell phone when I walked up, so not exactly swamped with his official work.

Another rather minor issue: I left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door after the first night there. The housekeeping service crew entered the room anyway. I know some hotels have a mandate to check the room after a number of days of a guest having that sign up, but this was the first day. Sometimes it s the little things that differentiate a hotel from good service to great service.

Scottsdale is beautiful, but I d recommend exploring other hotel options more dedicated to providing service commensurate with the cost guests pay.

I honestly can not recommend this hotel. The Hilton hotel Scottsdale assigned me a room at third floor. There was scary sounds coming from the roof the entires night. It turned out there was engineering issue that the expansion of structure create the noice. You can imaging how this affect the sleep at night. Sad, the staff were good.

While visiting for a corporate event, I was pleased with the architecture of the buildings as well as the setup of the event. Our two day seminar was catered and though the food was neither great nor poor, their desserts were a 10 out of 10. The staff was very helpful when there were special requests as well.

The bed was not, comfortable and the 3rd floor hall smelled like cigarette smoke. Lot of money but not that great of a room. Staff was great and outside area was good. Reserved a room with pool view but trees were in the way.

We re currently staying for two days at the this Hilton establishment. The moment I tried to make a reservation using AAA, the attendant did not want to help me. He said to book it online using AAA and then come back and to check in. I then checked in and the attendant could not find the reservation , even with my AAA conf no. She said needed to have an N in front of the number. She proceeded to NOT check me in and I was left just standing there. She said she couldn t help me even with proof. After 5 minutes, my reservation was in their system. I just did not appreciate the manner in which I was treated. Also, breakfast was an ordeal. I paid for breakfast and I was not allowed to receive a free breakfast bc my name was not on the list at the restaurant. My hisband was confused as to ordering bc they offer the menu and the continental breakfast. We were told that the free breakfast advertised was the continental breakfast and if we wanted any hot item like eggs or bacon, then we had to pay an extra $7. They purposely placed the hot items next to the continental breakfast so that patrons could think its part of the breakfast and serve themselves. When the bill arrived, an extra $14 was added to the bill. There is no sign or explanation provided to the patrons. Someone my think they are not paying attention to the continental breakfast area, but in reality they are. The breakfast situation was an ordeal to me. We booked for two nights thinking I would be treated as a welcomed paid guest, but instead I felt as I was stealing from them. Rooms run about 160 per night and I paid $212 with breakfast included. The continental breakfast is not worth the $15 extra per person. I do believe there is a huge communication problem between the front desk and the restaurant. I m just not happy the manner the staff made me feel. I will not stay here again.

We had reserved a King poolside room for my wife's birthday weekend. We were given a room with 2 double beds, about as far from the pool as possible. I called the front desk and also went to talk to them in person. They said there was nothing they could do to help, and the best they could do was comp us breakfast the next day. They said that a King should be available the next day, if we wanted to move then. I explained that this was a very special occasion. But that did not seem to matter. There were no apologies and no apparent concern from the woman at the desk.
The room we were given was old, tired, and noisy. Barely a pool view, and no useable patio. Nothing like the online pictures. Not what $360 per night should get.
Thank goodness for our travel agent, who quickly cancelled and got us our money back, and moved us a mile away to the DoubleTree.
In addition to caneling our room here, we also cancelled the reservation at Flemings Steakhouse. Happy to spend our money somewhere that appreciates us.
Check my other reviews... I am a local guide, and not a negative reviewer. I reward effort, even if the experience is not perfect. Nothing about this place of staff showed effort.

Everytime I see Hilton I think it should be a good stay with a nice resort. However, that want the case here. First the fridge in the room doesn't work. I got bit from bed bugs and scratching for a couple days. There are two sides to the hotel the lower ceiling side and the nicer higher ceiling side. We got the lower ceiling where the hallways weren't clean and things needed much attention to. They show that they are a three diamond four star hotel, but I don't understand how? I've been to better 3 star hotels that looked better. The only good things is that they provide a person to take you within three miles in any direction and also pick you up for free. The breakfast buffet was good but not too big. It's worth paying the extra $8 for it.

Hidden Fees

Hidden Fees

My husband booked and paid for a room for me in advance for an overnight stay. I was charged for a resort fee and a 0.54 local call that I did not make since I have a cell phone like most. When my husband spoke to the desk clerk he was not told about an extra resort fee. He was told about the extra charge for breakfast w/c he agreed to. He called Residence Inn across the street and the charges were similar. I chose to stay at the Hilton for a change. When I checked in, no-one told me there was a resort fee but 1 month later I find out through my credit card bill about the extra fees. I would not have stayed at The Hilton if I knew there was a resort fee. I would definitely have stayed at The Residence Inn w/c would have had a larger room w/ kitchen. I think it is deceptive that they do not tell you about the resort fee during booking and charge someone else's credit card after you've already checked OUT. I believe they intentionally do not mention anything about a resort fee on booking to avoid people going elsewhere.

The villas was spacious and the kitchen stocked....even a washer Nd dryer that came in handy. The pool next to our room was closed which was a big bummer for my kids. The larger pool was ooen but the water seemed pretty dirty and there was a large teenage crown over taking pretty much the whole pool.

Old property, very small bathrooms. The info on Hilton's website says it was remodeled in 2015 but, it sure doesn't look like it. It is tired, rundown and smells funny. Even the elevator is outdated and really small I'd be hard pressed to stay here again if I had another option.

It's "fine". Rooms are a little tired but are clean. Bathrooms are small (the door misses the toilet by inches - you have to step in, hold yourself to the side and shut the door). Which is a snobby problem as the bathroom is perfectly useable. Toilet flushes with "egg drop soup result": toilet paper stays in the bowl but shreds. Room service and pool food are ok, not great and hotel expensive. The catered food we had theough the hotel and though Fleming's was excellent. Gift shop is not a resort gift shop. More reminiscent of a roadside pop up on way to Sedona (think Camp Verde). Elevator takes a loooong time. Staff is friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hilton in Scottsdale. The hotel was delightful. The surrounding community was nice as well (be sure to go to AJs market for sushi and baked goods).

My only complaint was the extremely in efficient wireless internet. If you are traveling in business, do not rely on this connection. Attaching files is impossible and reading email takes ten times as long as it should.

Otherwise, the hotel is just fabulous. I would stay again.

A decent Hilton with all the standard Hilton amenities. The bath products are above average and everything was clean, but like most mid-level hotels, there were a handful of issues--weak AC, the TV had messed up colors, and the showerhead was too low for me (6 feet tall)--nothing too serious.
