I advise for a trip to London, it has a tube station very close and everything is nearby. The Hotel is huge, had a Portuguese doorman Diogo and clearly is International - ready for everything in various cultures .....

Summary: stay really far away unless you really like the location.

Check in process: Slow.

Room quality: Booked a suite room for my parents and standard room for me and the wife. Both are abysmal. The suite room were leaking water from the roof when we arrived (reported and had to wait for ~1 hrs to fix it) and again on the 3rd day (again needing 5 phone calls and had to wait for ~1.5 hrs for a technician. This is at 10pm mind you, so, quite tired). The std room were even worse. See photos. Also it smells weird.

Random notes on amenities and facilities: iron is available. No complimentary water. No electrical plugs next to the bed. Free wifi has good speed and coverage. Hot water pressure and temperature not high enough and unstable. Very close to Edgware Road station, hop on hop off bus stop, M&S, and lots of halal restaurants nearby.

Staff: Needs a LOT of improvement on speed, hospitality, and usefulness.

Basically this does not feel like a Hilton, they should have put some investments on the building and staff. Really made a mistake on this decision for my family.

Visited Hilton Metropole for a Sri Lankan function and it was an amazing experience. The function rooms were spacious and all the facilities were well maintained. Kudos to the management for keeping a very tight ship.

Our stay at this Hilton was very pleasant. It got off to a bad start where the room we were given was quite dreary and had various signs of wear and tear so we spoke to customer services who were very happy to provide us with a better room. We visited the bar on the top floor for a quiet drink and were amazed at the views of London, it's definitely a highlight of the hotel. Customer services were also very accommodating for our request of a late check-out as well. The hotel is right next to Edgware road station and has great links into central London. To summarize, good hotel, great staff, amazing views.

The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is incredibly old fashioned inside. The rooms are very small, windows cannot open. The rooms are not fitted out and the hotel is generally ready for the major overhaul. The location is fine, but otherwise the hotel does not live up to the Hilton standard.

The room was shabby, it looked like it was lastly renovated 20 years ago, and poorly maintained. I slept in better rooms for one third at the price. The receptionist was very kind and apologetic and offered to move me to a better room for my last night, but I was expecting better from a 4 stars Hilton.

A really nice hotel I went there to meet up with friends visiting from Canada, we ended up having a quick dinner at the sport pub on the ground floor, I had a delicious Caesar Salad and it was delicious, the other guests seemed to have enjoyed their meals. The staff was attentive, but I wish they stopped adding the gratuity/tip automatically to the bill as we never know if the staff sees any of it. We met our friends in their room and they looked a decent size for London although a bit cramped.

This hotel was actually pretty good! The beds were comfy and the room was big. Our first room had some problems so we changed rooms and the next one was way better. Staff was friendly. Would recommend.
Stayed 6 nights in July 2019.

Attended a function at the hotel on Saturday 29 April 2017. Extremely disappointing customer service experience. When purchasing drinks at one of the two bars just outside the function, I was informed that I would have to go to the bar downstairs ( which was two flights of stairs) to purchase the Malibu as the staff did not have any. I requested politely that could not one of the staff who were all standing around not serving at the time perhaps go source a bottle, again I was informed that I would have to go to the bar downstairs. I would suggest that in future this is not how the hotel should treat paying customers.

Having stayed at this hotel during my trip to London, I found the staff very welcoming, friendly and attentive.
Several subways, shops and restaurants are close to the hotel.
Nevertheless, I was disappointed with the room and the breakfast they offer (little variety of dishes and always the same thing).
I was expecting better considering the price and especially from a Hilton hotel.

I stayed on the 20th floor of the Tower and my room was in dire need of refurbishment. To be fair to Hilton it looks like there is a programme of work in progress because dependent on which floor the lift stopped at some hallways were much fresher. The lifts were a major detractor - at peak hours I waited 5-10 minutes for a lift, and then watched it fill up before getting half way to the ground floor, stopping at every floor while the doors of the jammed lift carriage opened in front of bemused guests with cases.
Otherwise the bar on the ground floor (there are three in total) was good, albeit pricey, and the breakfast was great.
Based on my overall experience I would look to stay elsewhere next time I'm in Paddington.

It was very crowded due to a conference
No air conditioning in the hallways
And all the Ice machines were broken ,so we ordered ice through room service it never came.

Just checked into the hotel tonight. After entering the room, I glanced at it with messy furnishings and a lot of dust in the corners. Not only does the TV in one room have no picture, the TV in the other room does not respond. What is more frightening is that without any notice, it was said that the hotel staff suddenly swiped into the room. I thought it was to repair the TV. She said she would notify the master to repair it. Strangely, I haven't notified the front desk yet. Asked her what was wrong, but she gave up. It is not easy for Hilton to establish a brand. In an international metropolis like London, competition is fierce. According to the current situation, it is easy for Hilton to tear up its brand.

This hotel is the worst Hilton hotel I have ever stayed at. Firstly, the lifts did not work so we spent an hour from checking in until we got up to the room. When we entered the room we were greeted by a real nasty musty smell. The whole bathroom was infected with mildew and the whole room smelled bad. We chose to leave the hotel the same day we arrived when we did not endure. When we faced the front desk with this we were met with indifference and yet we were charged full price for a night we did not avail. This experience made me never again in my life to set foot in a Hilton hotel. simply miserable.

The best thing in the hotel is it's location in the corner of Edgware road which is very very easy to walk around and reach other places like Oxford Street and reagent street. The bad thing with the hotel is that it's rooms are a bit old and because it is huge, the rooms cleaning is not that good, next time I will choose deluxe king or queen room. This is because the deluxe Rooms are newly refurbished in the tower building which includes the swimming pool and close to the exit and entrance doors.

First the reception is bad and the time of entry is late, knowing our time was 6 pm and there is no water in the room and if it is found in return and the cleaning is very bad and the hotel cleanliness is bad and the furniture is worn out I would not recommend it ...

The place is very big, but also very busy. The lobby area and bar next to it are beautiful, but anything past that I very dated. If you stay in South tower be prepared for very old undated for rooms. We changed to west tower and got what they said was updated room. However, this update must have taken place about 10 years ago. Mattress is spring mattress and you feel every one of them. Towels are nice and big. A.c. is quiet. The updated rooms was nicer and better kept. Staff is very nice and polite. Top floor restaurant has great views but mediocre food and poor service. Breakfast is chaotic, extremely busy and noisy. Could definately improve food choices to be healthier. Easy to find taxi.

Stayed two nights for work. King bedroom was large with plenty of space to relax and a large comfy bed. Used the swimming pool whilst I visited and, although small, it was clean and well managed. Breakfast was delicious - huge selection of pastries, fruit and hot food, certainly worth the money, especially if you book it with the room or at check in. We ate in the burger/ribs style restaurant one evening and was pleasantly surprised by the food.

Takes a long long time to check in. And, if your room is not ready, you are asked to come back. And then made to wait, wait, wait because the room is not yet ready....

And if your WiFi doe not work, as happened to me, you ring for assistance. You are told that no one in the reception is answering, and can you come down to talk to them.

when you go down, you find a long queue...

Obviously a hotel meant to keep the hotel staff busy and feel important, not to make the guests welcome...
