The only thing I have to complain was that I was waiting to talk to the staff and I was ignored as the talked about themselves.
Very nice to visit, but don't buy the food pass,it is just a waste of money, everything that is covered is cafeteria style.
Very nice place, very familiar nice for a vacation with the family.
We visited friends and went in the pool for a while. Two lovely pools, very friendly staff, and a nice poolside bar. Free parking with a pass from a guest staying there. It was excellent.
Very nice staff, professional and polite. Facility is clean and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Good walking path around the lake. Large pool area with a waterfall and adjacent playground. Restaurant right next to the pool is convenient.
Property is OK. Dated as it is the first HGV location. Location is only 15 minutes from WDW, and is close to a CVS and 7-Eleven. Staff are efficient, if not impersonal here.
One star is given for HGV's business practices. I was given a "sales" call because I'm a Hilton Honors member. Despite telling them I wasn't interested in a timeshare, they wouldn't let me off the phone and I ultimately gave $200 for a discounted stay, and I was told I would be given the $200 back after a timeshare tour.
I have been separated from my ex-wife for a while, but am still in the process of the divorce. I have been living with a partner and so during the "sales" call they asked if I was married or cohabitating. Not really thinking it was any of their business, I said cohabitating. BIG MISTAKE as you'll see.
I was going to let the $200 go and not even make a reservation, but HGV convinced me to come. "Nobody buys the timeshare! Just come and listen!" So we did. We stayed at the hotel and did the sales tour with a pretty nice salesman. At the end of tour, I finally said we didn't have the money and I'm going through a divorce anyway, and that's when he left "to see if there's anything HGV can do for" us. Then a woman from marketing came out, told us I wasn't qualified and unceremoniously kicked us out of the HGV salesroom.
I then spent the next 2 days on the phone with a marketing person who eventually told me even though she understood that I wasn't trying to be dishonest with them, HGV wouldn't give me my initial $200 back and would also charge me for the nights I thought I would get for free.
It's a scam, through and through. You should have seen the weary faces on the people in that salesroom as my partner and I were pushed out.
I've done Disney's DVC tour before and they are very accommodating and not pushy. They never asked about relationships. We now think we'll get a DVC membership as soon as we have the money. HGV can rest easy knowing they scammed some people out of a few hundred dollars, but I won't be back.
I pleased with that staff a the room thank you and I will visit again.
I'd give this place a 4.5. Everything was great, I was asked a couple days into my stay if they could do anything to improve my experience, and I just mentioned that i would have liked complimentary coffee in the lobby (they only had coffee for purchase). They immediately offered me coffee vouchers for each of my remaining five days. The only problem that I had was that I asked housekeeping to come back a day after they were going to cleanup, and they never came.
We took advantage of one of their program offers. We stayed at a very nice area in Florida but when we turned down the offer they treated us horribly. We had even bought more nights so we were paying customers. We were denied access to offers made at the time of reservations. NOT GOOD BUSINESS/CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Avoid!!!! I stayed here while at a conference and even as a Diamond member, I was placed in the furthest building away as possible. The person next door from me was obviously a long term resident, very, very sketchy. I would be extremely hesitant if bringing a family here. They have folks living here via timeshare for extended periods. I can't stress enough to be careful if you decide this is your only option. Language barrier at check in as well.
Room was great, staff was friendly, but we took the phone off the hook because marketing (time share division) was relentless. Calls at 7am and 7:30am. Once I answered and told them I had requested do not disturb and the man said if we come get our free gift the calls would stop. When we looked to see what it was we got another pitch about a free breakfast if we went to their presentation. Finally we just took the phone off the hook. They are horrible rude and never stop. Every day they parade other people dressed up through the pool area trying to sell this place as a time share also. If you ignore all that it is great.
The front desk people have been unwelcoming and apathetic since we arrived. Basic requests at any other hotel across the country are ignored here, regardless of Hilton membership status.
No water provided in the rooms. But otherwise it's great.. roomservixe is quick
I had an amazing stay, staff friendly, attentive and welcoming. I would definitely recommend to anyone!
Go there yearly. Have timeshare and LOVE it! Great value. Staff polite and do not pressure you into more timeshare meetings. Beautiful botanical grounds and meticulous maintenance. The poolside cafe is kinda pricey though.
Great place to stay, great hospitality.I highly recommend you to stay there.
There's so much to do in such a close area. It's super convenient and tons of fun.
Becareful , they will sell you them park ticket at a discounted price and ask you to attend a breakfast, which sounds great, but they dont tell tou it is a sales presentation for hilton time share program.
Used to stay here until we were told we could not have our pistol with us. We have our CCW. Take my 2nd amendment right away we'll stay somewhere else.
Clean and well maintained property. Definitely enjoy coming here
Great place. Friendly staff. Warm pool and hot tubs!!
We were very disappointed with this resort. Our suite was infested with roaches. After complaining they did spray the room however, these pesty creatures were still running all over the room!! Finally, after complaining a second time we were able to change into another suite. We spend 8 nights at this resort, 6 of those nights we had to live with roaches crawling over all our belongings and bed. So as you can see, we are not a fan of this lodging and certainly don't recommend anyone spending there hard earn dollars vacationing there. Update: After reviewing my complaint I was told to contact someone in the district office. I left several messages to contact me back. I have yet to receive a call back. I guess the reply from this place was for the benefit of folks reading my complaint to have you think the hotel would do the right thing. As I stated before beware folks!!!
This is one of the BEST resorts in Orlando. Owned by Hilton Grand Vacations. Enough room for the whole family and great staff!
The most beautiful place that we've ever my husband and I stayed at in our lives yes it was our honeymoon but take kept Everything clean when we wanted something all we had to do is call and they would just bring it to us we had a full kitchen a full bathroom including a waterfall shower and beautiful bathtub inside our bedroom so after walking around the parks you can just soak into the bathtub for an hour and relax and then apparently had three different sinks it was amazingly big for two people but we were definitely not disappointed they had two different pools I think it was 4 different Jacuzzis plenty of room to go around a restaurant on the premises and definitely a great concierge to show you where the best places were I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for either Honeymooners for people that are looking into timeshares no matter what is wonderful.
We were in a three room suite. The room we were in was amazing but I'm not one of the other rooms was what we booked.
A very beautiful resort, with very friendly and willing to accommodate staff.
Cool! Spacious, clean, quiet. I enjoyed a lot, like being at home
a great place to stay. The prices are good, the location is very good. I only recommend asking for write, do not call to sell the resort, they are excessively annoying calling
I like it the rooms are nice the pools are great it's just that they charge you for everything.
Wonderful resort! There are some restrictions due to COVID so be aware. Any delivery such as food, groceries or alcohol are brought to a designated area outside of the main lobby. If your room is far away it can be a challenge but u can call for someone to pick u up and take u back in their golf carts. The resort does everything it can to keep people safe and make things as easy as possible. The rooms are very nice.. extremely clean. I loved it
Second time there, great family place with plenty to do
None of the rooms were ready for check in, we have waited for our rooms for over 4 hours and they still don't know when it will be available.
Beautiful place and the most amazing, patient, and accommodating staff! Thank you to Symone for making our anniversary vacation even more special!
Kids and family had an amazing week. Be prepared to spend a little extra on the activities but the art projects get brought home (worth it).
Great looking plants and pool was fun. Enjoyed the kitchen, and all the space.
This place is like my second home. My mother has been a member and bringing me since I was 6 years old. She is now elite and I cannot wait to have it too!!! Amazing staff, pools, activities, everything!!! My trip can just be at the hotel the whole time!!! Love this place!
We had a room with a stocked full kitchen. A dining table and chairs for four. Pull-out couch in front of a 55" tv. A screened in porch with table for 4. A king bed with another tv. A jacuzzi tub. A bathroom with two sinks and a shower. And best of all. Our own washer and dryer. Plus the resort had lots of pools and hot tubs. Free DVD rental. Movies at the pool and in their theater. All at a fantastic location with a great price.
It was nicely located. And if you need a kitchen while on vacation and lots of amenities this is the property.
I love the rooms here an good staff i will stay here again nice pool
It is my favorite resort in ALL my years of traveling. Two huge pools and an amazing room. Way more then I expected. The only reason I gave it four stars is my key card stopped working and I got locked out of my room for 20 minutes. Also, a heads up, reception is really slow. That's why I got locked out my room so long.
Great location, beautiful rooms, and plenty of things to do both in and around the hotel!
Great location, rooms are nice. Friendly and helpful staff.
By far the best value for your money, gorgeous scenery, free DVD rental, discount on parks and most comfortable bed everrr. Will be back for sure
Nice rooms and a lot of small trails around the resort. Good grab-and-go restraunt with pizza and cazones. The poolside bar and grill is very tasty.
It is not the hotel I thought I booked. Only one restaurant. Good is not that good. VERY loud. I am not happy
The rooms are comfortable and clean. The amenities, pools, restaurant, are excellent. Conviently loacted near the convention center and Sea World. The staff is friendly and accomodating.
Good rooms with alot of space , pool, and service also very close to seaworld
I always come & stay here and I get the one beroom king suite. Absolutely love the hotel always clean , the bed is amazing and everything is just great. Just this time idk why but the water from the kitchen sink had a horrible smell to it if I ran it on the cold side but then if I put it to hot it didn't smell. Had the same issue in one of the bathroom sinks. Other then that everything was great as usual
BEWARE!!!!!!!
This hotel is NOT like other Hilton properties and will NOT show any loyalty to Diamond members.
Check in time at 4:00pm can be delayed to 7:00pm and after you get your text message with the other dozens of people waiting for a room, you stand in line again to get the wrong room.
After retuning and standing again in line to get the correct room- you have to call housekeeping to get linens for the beds- not kidding!! At 10:30pm and afte 2 calls to housekeeping to get them delivered you can settle in.
WARNING: if you are there to experience "The sales pitch" I witnessed many couples arrive in the lobby the next morning, and you are sent to another hotel. What!! These poor families. A morning wasted so they can trick them in to a 3 night stay- I'm telling to is not worth it.
We moved to the Doubletree outside of Universal and had the most pleasant people at the hotel, free breakfast (huge) and a Starbucks right on property.
A corner room with a view of he lights and walking distance to City Walk ( or free shuttle)
for 5 adults for 116.00.
Hilton Grand has nothing grand about it and Is a time share trap-
Oh and the 5 pools they sell you on...kiddie pool and hot tubs are included in that total. And as long as I'm sharing amenities: theater - joke
Activities: sad trivia and 15.00 tie dyed shirts are also a joke.
Do your homework and I recommend a package with a Disney or other that isn't looking to "sell" you future vacations stays that were as bad as this one.
Shame on Hilton for allowing this to anyone let alone your DIAMOND memebers that are solicited for this - experience ( want to use bad word here, but won't.)
They have the best costumer service and attentions, we love it.
I would give it a 0 but ... numerous issues not our 1st time here..same issues check in 2-3 hours late... then tried to make it our fault because we wanted rooms close together even though they were told months ago...purchased tickets for universal sure enough they were incorrect..rooms have a smell.. housekeeping never showed up on scheduled day... would not recommend there are newer resorts at better prices. If you read all the respones they all start the same with an apology unfortunately its not sincere and they do nothing but apologize
Failed to put my HHonors account number on my stay which caused problems such as: no receipt on my account.
Also I hated the layout of the property - it's sprawling and it's that "modern" type of build that looks visually appealing, but in actually it's that awful cheap build where you can hear your neighbors as if the walls were made out of paper, and the people walking around in the floor directly above you sound like elephants stampeding.
I just wasn't a fan of this concept in general, although I guess if you're not a grouch like me you'll love the place.
Great place to stay especially with the free express, fast, etc. passes. Rooms are clean, it's a freaking Hilton! Overall great hotel.
What a nice place but it should be for the price .its clean and loaded with guess amenities. Tennis basketball pools jacuzzi fitness center bar store wow
WiFi is poor. Room needs renovation, coffee machine broken, replacement left in box and not set up. Entertainment intrusive. Not enough parasols, guest reserved beds all day despite signage stating this not to be allowed. Staff excellent, service good.
I would highly recommend this location. The entire staff was helpful, courteous and friendly and my suite definitely met the covid sanitizing. Front desk staff member David was the best!!!!!
First of All, as a hilton honors member I was offered a low cost stay in exchange for 2 hours presentation. Since my daughter wanted to go to disney world I took the offer for orlando. This was my first time for this kind of stay.
My review will start from the time my car entered the hotel. It looked beautiful from the outside and when we stopped to check in it was beautiful inside as well. David helped us at the check in desk he was very nice and welcoming. Since we arrived early we were told to make ourselves comfortable at the lounge or use the pools or hot tubs outside. He asked us if we have any preferences for the room. I just told him it would be nice if we had room closer to pools since it's hard with a baby and toddler. He told us there are trams that can pick and drop u from your tower If u call them. I loved that option but he also managed to give us a room close by.
Our room was 1 bedroom suite and It was fully renovated with pullover sofa and kitchen with all basic utensils, silverware and dinner ware. There was coffee pot, toaster microwave and oven stove. Oh did I forget the dishwasher:)) the whole vibe was so modern and cozy.
I will be posting pictures of our 1 bedroom suite.
So, when we went for presentation their offer was very nice it took approximately 3.5 hours more then the time mentioned. we had a tour in Las palmeras which was another great Hilton resort. We were shown 2 bedroom suites and studio. My husband needed more time since we are still deciding if we want our children to study abroad. If it wasnt the case for our children's future we would have grabbed the deal at a snap. There were no grey areas very clear point system. We learned a lot from this and will definitely keep hilton at our top list in case we do end up buying timeshare.
What places! The residence is large but well structured with lots of greenery. Beautiful pools also with a couple of waterfalls and entertainment for children. A small supermarket Po but has everything you need for breakfast and snacks. We will be back!
