Where to begin? Haha, I booked this hotel last minute when wanting to add an extra day to my vacation with my best friend. We decided to go from Miami to Ft Lauderdale because we love it there. Normally we stay at The W, but decided to try something new as well as something slightly cheaper, but with a competitive price.
My first impression of this hotel, starting in the lobby, was an odd smell. Which changed to a second different odd smell the second day. The staff was semi friendly, but not the kind that immediately would greet you or smile upon entering a door.
Each elevator we used had some sort of fingerprints or smears all over the inside that was unpleasant to the eye. The room was spacious, and we had an amazing view of the ocean, but attention to detail was very, very, very missed here when it comes to cleanliness.
I want to be clear that this room was very clean, but if you are anything like me and notice the small details, those things add up. The vents looked like they had not been cleaned in quite a long time, and the sliding glass door to the balcony looked as though it was cleaned with a wet towel over some windex. The sugar provided for the coffee was crusted at the bottom, as though it has gotten wet the night before, and the in room kitchenette (which is a wonderful feature that I love) did not have any cookware! The hotel stated with the purchase of my room that the kitchenette included a mini fridge, sink, stovetop and microwave, including pans to use to cook with. I was not intending to use them, but to find that I had none, not even silverware, was very disappointing.
The room was stocked with many hand towels, but not enough large towels, and no second toilet paper was already provided. The toiletries looked as though they had been half used already with the exception of the bar of soap. The jetted tub was wonderful, but the stand alone shower was disappointing. The water pressure was amazing, but the showerhead was oddly too close to the wall and felt like I was showering up against a slab of marble rather than the shower itself.
If you can overlook all of these things and consider them mild, then lets move on to the positives. The bed was AMAZING and probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept in to date. I had a spectacular view of the ocean and my room was very quiet as well as super cold, which I really love. The mini fridge was really spacious, and the TV was well placed and quite enjoyable.
All in all, I personally expected more from a Hilton resort. Their attention to detail was lacking and customer service was just okay. This is a wonderful option if you can overlook the small stuff, but I most likely will be choosing another option next time that pays closer attention to exceptional service than the Hilton.
I was at this hotel and was over charged for parking and my windows was down which valet was attending my vehicle , I had to have the cops come out to resolve the problem the charge me 10$ for just a hotdog SMH the tub had poodle hair in it now is not great time to need sleep while visiting because the construction is very disturbing in the am the great thing about it is that there's a beach right across
Overpriced. But that's what you get given the proximity to the beach.
Staying at the Hilton on our last day of our honeymoon after weeks of traveling I'm a little disappointed. We are on the 24 floor which does have a beautiful view but or room is nothing special for the price. The walls are makered up and definitely needs a paint job. You have to pay for wifi... bizarre. The guys out front and the bell man are very nice but the front desk girls we're less than friendly. The people that work in the "snack shop" on the first floor are also a little short. The prices for room service are also a little crazy... and that's coming from someone that has stayed in some of the most high end and nice resorts all along the Keys over the past 2 weeks. Just not impressed. Final thoughts... just because the hotel says Hilton doesn't mean it's all that and a bag of chips. Oh and parking in $40 a night.
Excellent place, they welcome you with wine and champagne, beautiful view, good attention, clean, it has to the front the sea, swimming pool in the upper part good restaurant 100% recommended do not miss it
The little cafe at the bottom is always the best customer service always treat my princess to a cookie !
Excellent guest service, very quick check-in, close to the beach. It has a very upscale restaurant and bar inside of it, as well as a coffee shop (Starbucks) and gift shop.
The sea in front looks like the Caribbean sea. The hotel is very pleasant
The hotel is great and service was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel again and to everyone.
My hubby and I stayed here on our anniversary. There had been some even earlier that day and the day before and most people had checked out so when we were checking in the gentleman behind the counter offered us an upgrade for $25. We ended up with a huge suite. It was beautiful had an amazing view. 2 full bathrooms, which I found a little odd since there was only 1 bedroom but it was so cool. There was a huge jet bathtub. I would definitely stay here again.
As a Hilton dimond member I stay at many hilton properties. This property has the highest level of customer service I have experienced. This even includes hiltons Waldorf Astoria properties. Hats off to the entire FLL beach staff !!!!
I wrote a more detailed review on Tripadvisor about this hotel's many issues with housekeeping, but then something new happened and TA doesn't allow updates. But this issue is much more serious and people should be warned. This hotel overcharged me by more than $250 and has not resolved the issue even after multiple messages were left. I booked a special rate and paid in advance, then after checking out I was charged the standard rate. I have filed a complaint with my credit card and sent them my receipts showing the promised rate vs the rate charged, but I have to wait 45 days for them to "investigate" since Hilton won't just fix their mistake and refund the money that I was overcharged. I am done with Hilton brand hotels.
Extremely nice, full service high end hotel. Would go back in a heartbeat.
I have been staying hete occasionally since 2009. This last visit revealed more aging issues that have been creeping up. Rooms and facilities need updating. Elevators are out of service. Repairs from Hurricane Maria are not getting the attention they need. I won't return until a full remodel is done.
$36 day hotel fee, $50 valet parking, $25 beach umbrella. No breakfast included! $111 on top for one night !!!! Dark yellow water in the bathroom. No joke. Have pics. Washed my baby in that yellow dirty water. Not an ocean front, have to cross the street. So much better and worth the money hotels around !
The junior suite is very spacious and comfortable. It consists of a small hall, bathroom with shower and jacuzzi, bedroom with wardrobe and drawer furniture, ironing board, a living room with a sofa and an armchair, a kitchenette with refrigerator, stove, coffee maker and microwave and a balcony with view of the sea. Two flat screen TVs in bedroom and living room. Valet parking is paid separately. Restaurant on the sixth floor. Right to use two chairs and beach towels. The staff are polite and helpful.
Great hotel and accommodations. Get you with the resort fees and valet parking. Currently costs $42 and $35 resort fee. Sunrise is beautiful here which redeemed it a bit. Service in this general area is just ok. Beach is nicer than Miami Beach.
Located in a spectacular location facing the Atlantic Ocean in Fort Lauderdale, I give it five stars for the diligence of its workers in serving and pleasing, the drinks they offer and their food quite elaborated and with a good presence. The atmosphere very nice and always full!
Reasonble price for rooms, good service, repeat customers
Expensive parking.Housekeeper would not give us a roll of toilet paper, we had to go purchase our own.water for the bath was green.Had to be a muscle man to open sliding door to balcony. As a previous property shopper I would say the room was less than adequate. On the other side of the coin the common areas were clean and attractive. The bellman were friendly and curtious.I don't think I would return to that property again.
Did not really stay but one night but staff seemed pleasant. Not enough to judge.
It's weird that you can book a room at the Hilton, but get no Hilton benefits (like chairs on the beach) based on your room number.
Food and service was top notch. Beautiful location. Meal was absolutely magnificent. 10/10 would eat again!
This property is beautiful and by itself rates 5 stars. We had a room near the top and the view was stunning. Public spaces were very nice and I would definitely consider returning. That said, there were times that some basics fell through the cracks and promises went unfulfilled. Nuisance factors, not flaws. Food and drinks are somewhat expensive, along with hotel parking. Finally, there is an empty lot on the north side, due for construction of a condo. I'm not sure when construction is due to start, but when it does the noise will be a consideration, and some of that beautiful view is likely to be obscured.
Very disappointed that they wouldn't store a couple of pieces of luggages for three days...I got four different excuses, it was a security issue, they had no space, it was Hilton policy, and finally the owner of the hotel won't let them. This is a condo hotel so there are dozens of owners and of course Hilton has no such policy as I have stayed in dozens of Hiltons and been able to leave a bag for a few days, including at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina Hotel...where I left a bag for two days. The bellman suggested that it was not allowed by the law!
The location of this property is good but I have out of principle cancelled all future reservations here having spent $5,000 in the past week there.
Peaceful place with the charm of Florida, very well located and with an excellent beach
really great rooms, staff went out of their way to be helpful the view check out my pics and decied
I have tried calling their spa more than six times over the past couple of weeks and they have never picked up. I have yet to receive a reply to my email as well. They finally answered and informed me that they do not any availability until the end of April. I highly doubt that. I believe I was dismissed because I had purchased their services through Groupon at a discounted rate. As a local, I would have loved to try out a new spa but I will definitely not be coming to visit this Hilton.
Edward was extremely helpful in planning a surprise birthday gift for my mom in town. Edward went above and beyond in the surprise and would recommend everyone to stay at this hotel when in town.
Rooms are amazing and the hotels are right off the beach.
Poor service and management. This hotel is not too LGBTQ friendly. However, the suites are nice.
I booked my room on the app but realized it didn't come with an ocean room, so I requested it on the app. When I checked it, they didn't honor my request, so they upgraded me to a Junior Suite. The room was very big, the bathroom and notch top amenities. The restaurant is expensive, but that's what happens at resorts. Each guest is given a card for two complimentary water bottles every day of their stay as well as use of the beach chairs. However, none of the complimentary items are really free since you are charged a resort fee for the water bottles and beach chairs. It's a very nice resort, but beware of the prices.
Spectacular place, very beautiful, I recommend it 100%
Went here for holiday party and the good and drinks were great it's a nice location
The staff was very friendly and the room was beautiful. The construction next door made the balcony pretty useless and the seaweed at the beach made the location not very ideal which was unfortunate since that was a big reason we chose this resort.
Cozy, chic bar on the waterfront. Cool drink, impeccable service they do take care of guests at this place
I was here for Work event. The staff is very friendly, competent and efficient. However the AC went out in the Hotel while we were giving presentations and it grew very very uncomfortable. This is the only reason for 3 stars.
Fantastic. Views, rooms, service, they provide top notch accommodation
Great place. Unfortunately there is construction going on during the day next door so that has been quite loud. Besides that the stay has been great. Food is severely overpriced.
Great getaway weekend, fun at the beach. Good food and drink in the sixth floor bar, Ilios. Fantastic breakfast buffet. We highly recommend the omelette station. Everybody we met was friendly and helpful.
Our stay at the Hilton was from July 4th until July 9th. All staff were extremely efficient and courteous. The hotel is immaculate inside and out! We dined at the restaurant at the hotel twice and absolutely loved our meals. The water pressure in the shower was by far the best I have ever experienced. We frequented the beach, outdoor pool and jacuzzis a number of times. Everything was well maintained. I was especially glad to see accessible lifts for both the pool and jacuzzi. Upon returning home, we used their car service for a short ride to the airport and would highly recommend doing so for anyone needing a ride. This was my first stay at the beach hotel and hope to return year after year!
Love this place. I would definitely go again. The food at the Hilton is delicious! Enjoyed the free two hour bike rental and the beach across the street. The hotel provides free lounge chairs at the beach. Umbrella are $25.00 for all day use.
The service is amazing! This Hilton has a way of making you feel you are alone on vacation rather than in a crowded hotel. The spa services are rather spendy but worth every bit of the money spent! Couple of things I was a little disappointed with is they seem to have an issue with leaving enough towels. We had to request more each night. They left 1single wash cloth for 5 people. The parking is very expensive as well but we were aware of that before choosing this hotel. Overall the experience we had was amazing and a total 5 star experience while on a relaxing vacation. Every person is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again if and when we ever come back without looking at other hotels first. Love!!!
As a local we've stayed at this hotel at least 7 times last year for staycations to destress due to our hectic careers. This stay we checked in 31st for one night and decided to stay an extra night. We checked out yesterday 1/2. To date I have not received a bill from the hotel. I saw charges that did not match my room fees paid through Expedia and the amount for the second night as stated per clerk for the extra night. Also, the tub had pubic hair we called immediately and guess service came right away but was disgusted by the fact room was not thoroughly. Before checking out I called front desk and expressed my concerns about no bill sent to me and staff said they will have the Finance dept contract me. Today I called twice and was transferred to the finance dept where I left a message and no one has contacted me. Very dissatisfied as a local who spends time here especially in low seasons for this type of disrespect and poor service.
Another Hilton another badly run hotel. Another Hilton that refuses to deliver on what it promised. My room was reserved weeks ago. Hilton refused to check me into the room at 3PM - normal checkin time. Despite the fact that they told me at 1:30 pm today in person I would have it no later than 3pm. At 2: 40 pm Hilton claimed housekeeping just discovered the previous guests' bags in the room. Obviously Hilton never planned to have it cleaned by 3pm. Never planned to do as Hilton promised. TYPICAL HILTON. These are the *Honors* that Hilton Honors club members get. No room yet at 4pm. Even worse at Hilton Clearwater before.
Things went downhill after checkin. No equipment or dishware whatsoever in the kitchenette in the ocean front suite. Each item has to be requested individually. Uncomfortable walmart type quality deck furniture on the wraparound ocean front deck - mostly small & cheap.
Not a quality experience, particularly for the price.
Left a week early. No more Hiltons in my future.
Great clean rooms, super great service but the only bad thing is there Wi-Fi my whole stay there I couldn't be in the Wi-Fi for longer than 5 minutes without it kicking me off..
We had an excellent stay. The rooms were perfect. We asked for an early check in to get ready for a show. They were able to accommodate us, although they would not guarantee it until the day of check in. Staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. This was the perfect location for us, and we had a great time walking to our destinations, going to a show, and dinner.
Great atmosphere, service, and amenities. Went for the air and sea show this past weekend and had a hotel room for the weekend. It was amazing.
The place is at a strategic point on the excellent beach of ftlaudedale with beautiful sea views
Excellent! Place, location, services, everything. The only thing to note is the cost of parking.
Excellent hotel for those who want to get depressed and sleep with a pet! Hotel dark, dirty, old and mostly with cockroaches. For those who like hotels with these qualities, I recommend it!
Great hotel with lovely staff. Stayed in a king suite which was superb. Breakfast is excellent. Also dined in ilios on the evening and again great food.
The hotel grounds are very well kept. The pool deck is an amazing place to hang out. CVS is a ten minute walk. All the hotel staff are very helpful. Valet parking is expensive but also a nice luxury. While staying at the Hilton I had no issues with noise within the hotel at all. Never once did I hear a neighbor. I really enjoyed sitting on the private balcony, watching the ocean, the cool cars drive down below. A good safe traffic light crossing can be used to access the beach. Air conditioning can be easily controlled in your room to whatever temperature you prefer. Nothing but good things to say about it trip to the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort.
Outstanding staff that really attempts to anticipate and not just meet your needs. Wonderful suite, good cuisine, very good spa and facilities that exceeded my expectations
We stayed for one night en route to Key West. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. We did not take advantage of the amenities due to our short stay.
I love this hotel. I have been there 2 times and loved both units 2511 and 2105 as they are a good size with a fantastic view. I saw some of the other rooms, but I highly recommend requesting one of these 2 units, depending on the size you require. This hotel is the best Hilton ever and is highly, highly recommended. Great location, staff, service, food, pool and beach.
Room was beautiful. Great view of the ocean. However...we checked in with a group on 12/8/14 for three days. We were quoted a rate of $22/day for valet parking. Seemed reasonable, we agreed. Upon checking out on 12/11/14, we were charged $35/day. We argued our point that we could have parked elsewhere for less. The young woman at the desk was inflexible, cold and borderline rude. We are not rich people incapable of putting charges on an expense account. $45 extra was not pocket change to us.
