The room was dated. Hallways dirty. Location great. Front desk people very nice. Watch it, they charge you an extra fee of 30 bucks a day for the pool and weight room and you don't find out until you check out and it dosen't matter if you use it or not. Very greedy. Bad business practices. Won't touch a Hilton again.

My birthday MEcation
I came on vacation to celebrate my birthday and I have to say that this hotel and its staff far exceeded my expectation. I love that they text me to welcome me and I was able to inquire through text as well. they knew my name and complimented and made me feel more than welcome as I entered the building! They upgraded my room and the room was magnificent! This is the exact reason I am a Hilton Honors Diamond ... because the standards that I have are always met if not exceeded!! This was truly one of the best birthdays ever and a large percentage goes to the staff and crew that made it all possible!!! I will certainly be back!!

Pros: The location is great and the staff is phenomenal. From the valet, to guest service, to the evening restaurant servers, to the breakfast staff. They were GREAT!

Con # 1: Many fees are not made crystal clear when reserving via 3rd party. In our case Booking.com

Extra Fees should be transparent and the parking situation MUST be clearly disclosed without having to do extra research as if we were doing investigative reporting for a news network.

Con # 2: Parking is NON Existent and we were lead to believe within the Booking.com network that it was included, therefore the first piece of news for us was a $46+tax per night for valet parking, which was the only option, or rist a tow. No wonder their units were only $209 per night. ;)
We personally do not like anyone in our car, so the stay was awkward from the beginning especially with the Covid19 situation.

Con # 3: The fees for room service and their self appointed 22% gratuity on top of it may exceed the cost of your meal. It did for us.

Con #4: The $39 resort fee does not include much.

Cons in unit: No blowdryer. No shower caps for the ladies.
Small oversights by maintenance dept. For instance the door of the shower not closing tightly, therefore water leaked forcing us to place a towel on the floor. Roughly about 6oz of water per shower was leaked on floor.
A loose balcony sliding door handle that pinched our fingers. In fact that was the wrong handle installed.

In all, we MAY visit again, but are still upset of unclear fees. We would've paid them anyway, but the resort not being transparent may be the reason of this being our last visit.

My boyfriend and I stayed here from July 13th-18th and we adored this resort! The customer service was phenomenal and every one of the hotel staff members were so nice! Our room was beautiful and so clean! The restaurants were also delicious! We would definitely love to stay here again!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here, the staff are really attentive with your every question and concerns. Unfortunately the timing of our stay was during hurricane time but non the less that didn't stopped us to enjoy the resort. If we have a chance to come we sure are staying in the same place again.

We had a wonderful time The Hotel is very nice the rooms are very spacious the beds are to die for their so comfy and the view we had of the beach from the 18th floor was beautiful especially the sun rise. Nice pool area location to other bars and restaurants in walking distance fantastic. Was here for my son's Beach Wedding. It was and Awsome experience!

Fantastic location with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. For an overnight guest parking can be pretty expensive. I was just visiting for lunch so I found on Street meter parking very inexpensive about a block away. If I were from out of town and staying here overnight at the hotel, it probably make way more sense to just use Rideshare like Uber rather than renting a car and paying quite a bit per day to park it.

One bad thing after another. No parking for our van. Horrible rates to park OFF SITE with no guarantees our van is safe . Day two. No power in our room for 2.5 hours. Hot. Couldn't shower to get ready for dinner . Waited two hours to be moved . No I'm sorry . No nothing . Will NOT ever book another Hilton . The last company I had this type of service from hasn't had my business in 17 years . The maintence man even had the gall to lecture my husband on breakers .

I had stayed at this property last week for 4 days, even tough upon check in the gentlemen at the Front desk was not very nice, Eleni (The front desk manager) changed things around with her professionalism and kindness. Staff was very friendly starting with Michellin from housekeeping and the bellman from Jamaica always smiling and very attentive. The property is beautiful, great facilities, beautiful and spacious rooms.

Great place. Staff is friendly and attentive. Restaurants are good, location is wonderful. Great views. Only complaint is the in-room dining: $50 for two awful late-night sandwiches, pretty disappointed there. Overall it's a good resort.

The water was yellow , maybe they had pipe issues , there were construction going on right next from from 7 am to 6 pm. They staff was stand off-ish and rude to me . I don t why , but I paid 700 for 3 night day . I meant of been because I m Muslim or black either way I was ready to leave since day 1. Because of COVID they don t do daily room service . Just a horrible experience.

The room and beach was amazing!!! Great hotel to stay at. The front desk could use some better communication skills amongst themselves. Was told one thing by one person and a diffrent by another the next day. Overall I had a great experience here, definitely recommend.

The room was disinfected with Lysol and made sure you knew it! Clean and great location for social distancing during COVID. However, the valet was definitely rude if you did not park your vehicle there (parking is $46/night not included in the resort fee). Everything else was good.

Stayed here while on business, even though it's really more of a resort property/hotel. Here's my breakdown:

Pros:
- Great customer service
- Clean, modern rooms
- Nice fitness center
- Good on-site restaurant
- Ideal location (walking distance to the beach, as well as food/shopping nearby)
- Nice pool area with cabanas
- Amazing views from the room

Cons:
- For some reason the elevators were very slow
- Pool area was a bit dated, but there were working on upgrades

I'd certainly stay here again when in Ft. Lauderdale!

The room was smaller than we had planned for, but it was very clean and had accommodations staying a few days. Example: they had dishes, all different utensils, plenty of towels, body wash, hair dryer, and even a scale! The view was beautiful. On the balcony there was a nice view of the ocean (our room was on the side of the building) and when it was quiet in the late evening or early morning you could hear the ocean waves. The staff at the Hilton were very courteous and helpful, from the valet to the front desk, to the bellboy and operator. The restaurant was very welcoming and the food was delicious.

We are very disappointed that during our Family vacation we selected this hotel. Our room was dirty, the carpet was full of stains, the coffee machine wasn t working. Furthermore, during our time someone use our names or #room number were mark off being that we are gold members we get that benefit of free breakfast. We were embarrassed due to the fact that we were asked why we wanted to eat again in front of several people. I think this could have been handled better and I think this Hilton is not keeping up with the standards and the name that it should represent.

Great hotel and pool area. Hotel not on the beach and the restaurant and pool are on the 6th floor.
You have to cross the street to go to the beach and there isn't hotel service for drinks or food. I would recomend if you are looking at a beach hotel vacation and want it to be hilton, check out the hilton cabana miami beach.

Unfortunately this hotel was a disappointment. 2 of 4 elevators were out due to the hurricane this past spring. This caused problems for guests waiting as well as staff. Ice machines were "not working" as well as the rooms freezer ice maker. I believe the real problem was that the water was brown. They had a sign near the bathtub assuring that the brown water was fine to consume and that it was just the way the Fort Lauderdale Water Treatment Facility sends it to them. I have friends in the area and when I was at their house it was fine coming from the same facility so... There was a sign on the hallway ice maker telling you that you should dial zero for ice. After getting no response for 2 hours they finally arrived with empty ice buckets. After a total of 3 hours ice finally arrived.

That was just the tip of the iceberg. Some other issues were not getting the room I paid for, a very uncomfortable mattress, a filthy couch, and a really nice kitchen with not so much as a cup or spoon (I mean nothing at all in the cabinets).

I could go on but I'll end on a high note. If you get the right room the views are really nice.

Really nice hotel right across the street from the beach. 2 beach chairs a day and beach towels included, a couple free drink vouchers, beautiful pool and pool bar. Really had a nice pleasant stay here.

Great hotel with the clear mission of customer satisfaction. They go above and beyond with everything. That being said the same is not true of the restaurant Sun Surf Sand. They rent the space and are not part of the hotel. The food is good but the service is absolutely terrible. On two occasions they rude and disrespectful.

My 2 friends and I stayed there for this past Labor Day weekend. The vibe in the hotel was perfect. It was fun but family friendly and the DJ at the pool was great. We enjoyed the pool a huge part of everyday that we were there. Because of corona virus, some of the outside bars and lounge areas were not available but it did not negatively impact our stay what so ever. The girl at the front desk who checked us in was great, I m sorry I do not remember her name. Housekeeping was not available everyday due to the virus as well but every time we called the front desk for something, it was always brought up right away. Valet service was quick and efficient. $48 a day but that is to be expected. We had a great high floor with an ocean view. Even though they were doing construction next door, it didn t bother us at all or keep us from sleeping. The only thing that we did not like was the lack of mirrors in the room. The only mirror we had was in the bathroom. We kept going into the hallway to use the body mirrors. Also, it would be nice to have somewhere for guests to shower if they have to check out early but plan to use the facilities until flight times later in the day. We will be back, thank you!

If you have kids STAY AWAY Bad experience. Staff is nice but they should be.
- no laundry on site
- no dishes or utensils unless requested
- tv goes in and out constantly
- food is terrible always burnt
- the best was the fire alarm test they didn't tell us about till we arrived lasted 8 hours. Kids can't nap no one can relax in the room
- no self parking
- they scratched my rental car up good
- gotta pay for beach chairs and chow ID and proof of room
I can go on but I won't just stay at the pelican grand if you want a nice hotel for families that's where we'll be going back to next trip big mistake switching to Hilton

The best hotel I've stayed in, it was perfect and fast, attention at all hours and cleaned, fully recommended, its location is very good in front of the beach and everything is close to it, the room tidy with all the basic needs, 100% recommended.

Excellent customer service! Every employee that we came in contact with was amazing. Received a personal text the night before our checkout date asking how our stay was and if we needed anything. I was able to request and confirm a late checkout with no difficulty before we even went to bed. The balcony suite we had on the north side of the building gave us a fabulous sunrise and sunset view! This is the only place to stay in Ft Lauderdale if you are looking for quality and care. Restaurant on the 6th floor gave scenic views and a gentle breeze. Areas for families and areas for adults only, allow every guest the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Don't even look for that anywhere else on the block.

The "Ocean Front" room turned out to be an ocean view at an angle. The cabinet doors were hanging off hinges, the phone in the room didn't work. When I mentioned it to the front desk, the agent couldn't be less interested. Check out is very early, which is fine, but we weren't leaving until the middle of the afternoon. I was hoping to enjoy the resort pool and Beach until late morning and use Hotel showers to clean out before we left. Turns out there are no Hotel showers outside of the rooms, so it was either leave full of sand and sticky from chlorine/salt water or do nothing.

I can't say enough positive things about this hotel. First off you can't beat the location, walking distance to the beach and every imaginable restaurant you want to eat/drink at. The pool is crystal clear and well maintained. Rooms are very luxurious and comfortable. If your here for buisness or vaction I highly recommend this place.

Clean and great location. However, customer service needs to improve, I requested extra blankets for our sofa bed at 10pm since they weren t originally provided. Now going on over 2hours and still no blankets. Current time: 12:20!

Expensive expensive but very good service breakfast costs $ 90 for 2 adults 2 children per day. Not quite ok. But the cruel staff rooms perfectly okay best located. But everything costs extra

I love this place. I upgraded to an oceanfront room, and was surprised with a corner suite. I was in love as soon as I walked in. The view was amazing, and the balcony wrapped all the way around the room. There was also a living room, fully equipped kitchen, and two separate full bathrooms. The staff was amazing and so attentive. Room service and the breakfast buffet were great too. You can even go down to the buffet and take your food to go. They really made sure I would be back.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Everybody and I mean really every single member of staff is welcoming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
The property is a bit older but they have fixed it up well. You have to cross the road for the beach but that is the case for all the hotels.

Nice room, very modern and up to date. The restaurant downstairs is nice. I will say their is a Starbucks and store in the hotel, but they close at 9 and their is nothing remotely close to you. I suggest you keep your store open later, as you are stuck and have to taxi to get simple stuff if you arrive late.
