Good location but here's what you need to know before booking. There's a mandatory resort charge that was seperate from the booking price and they only offer valet parking per night. The hotels pool and beach also dont allow outside food and drinks so youre forced to buy everything from them including rental beach chairs. We had to jump out the pool once to stop some lady from swiping the kids snacks and drinks, she was worse than the birds. Considering the price for a night and the continual money traps to keep your wallet dry while trying to keep your kids hydrated, there's better beach resorts in Florida.

Near everything, clean rooms but false advertising about the room.
The beach view, which is more expensive than the harbor view, has a side view at on the gulf although in the pictures on Expedia it doesn t say side view. So after the booked a Gulfview room & paid extra for it I ended up seeing the A/C units and the kitchen chimneys the the gulf. I couldn t open my window not even for few minutes because of the noise coming from the A/C units and because of the smoke & smells coming out of the chimney. I wish I had booked a harbor view room, I wouldn t have seen this nasty view. You can see the pictures on Expedia.

Highly disappointed in our stay. Even though they say they were renovated in 2017, they need to do it again. Lobby floor badly warped and needs replaced. Carpet in hallways and room had a funky smell. Bathrooms small and need attention. Not what I would call a real resort especially for adults without kids.
Definatly slanted towards family's and should be called a hotel and not a resort. Pool area understaffed. David (at the pool) was great. The resort fee is ridiculous for what you get especially if you don't have kids.

Went here on vacation and overall the trip was great! Staff and cleaning crew we're all very polite and helpful whenever we had questions or needed service. The location was right on the beach and the on site pool was very nice as well. The only reason for a 4 star review as opposed to 5 were how many hidden costs there were. Overnight parking was an additional $25 and each day we were charged a $25 "resort fee" that was non-negotiable. If it was going to be charged either way why was it not included in the price of the room? I'm sure it was somewhere in the fine print that missed while booking the room, but I really wish hotels would stop all the extra fee nonsense. Other than that I greatly enjoyed the hotel.

We spent a night at the Hilton Clearwater Resort & Spa. I had read other reviews, and I was concerned about our stay.

Regardless of other reviews, we had an amazing stay. The location for the hotel is perfect. Easy access in Clearwater within easy walking distance to great restuarants. The beach is amazing with soft sand, gentle surf, and clean water.

The hotel is not the traditional Hilton hotel experience, but it is newly renovated. Our room was small, but updated and very nice. A little more space would have been nice, but would not have changed the experience.

The spa was amazing. I had a massage, and my mom had a facial. We both thoroughly enjoyed the spa experience.

The hotel seemed great for kids. Activities were available throughout the day to keep the kids engaged for free.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I was very happy with my stay.

I was unaware and uninformed of what the fee was for and so i there paid for services I did not use.company security officer came to our room after i had fallen and he was as dumb as a box of rocks and treated me as i did something wrong i will never stay at a hilton again DID NOT LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I AM A N.CAROLINA RESIDENT AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT A " RESORT FEE " IS. I WOULD HAVE KNOWN IF I WAS INFORMED AT CHECK IN. I would have loved to eat breakfast there

It was a really beautiful experience for my moms birthday. The kids loved it too! The parking guys were my favorite people, they were so helpful and down to earth. The only con is that our bathroom smelled pretty horrible the whole stay.. Im thinking it was the plumbing but besides that no complaints.

Thank God the pool was heated during spring break a day our family appreciated it very much. The staff were friendly and doing their job well. Unfortunately few things need bit more attention at this hotel. The renovation that's been done is very mediocre and the bed is HORRIBLE!!!!! OUR BED WAS SAGGING on side and need to be thrown out. Overall room was very worn down.

What an amazing stay. The staff were very accomodating with our request to extend our stay upon our arrival. We loved the location right away! The have a number of activities, which provided an abundance of thing to do with kids.

A beautiful property inside and out. The rooms are a bit small for a family of 4, but with the beautiful white sand beach and pool not much time was spent in the room anyway.

Beach was VERY clean as were the cabanas, which can be rented. A bit pricey overall, but we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

This resort was very clean and well maintained! We ate dinner at the bar near the check-in area, and it was delicious! Sam, the bartender, was very pleasant and made some great drinks! Plenty of space around the bar meant people could spread out but also have folks from all over to chat with. We got a couples massage overlooking the beach and it was amazing! The pool bar also had a great variety of drinks and the pool was nice and warm!

Let me start by saying that this is the cleanest hotel room I have ever had, and my husband travels for work so we've been in more than a few! It's a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff located right in the heart of Clearwater beach, pretty much on top of pier 60. There is a good amount of shopping around, and more than a bunch of restaurants (including a few at the hotel itself), and a starbucks right downstairs! It is also right across the street from the harbor where all of the dinner, pirate, day, and sunset cruises depart. The hotel has it's own access to the beach and a large pool. The decor is nautical modern (if theres is such a thing). Unfortunately, they offer valet parking only for $25 a day.
Out room was facing the pier and beach and had a great view. Again, the room was incredibly clean. The beds were comfortable. I liked sitting out on the balcony at night and listening to the performers singing down on the pier. There were only two things I can complain about. One, it was a bit noisy with the music from the nearby bars and night clubs when we were trying to sleep but it wasn't terribly bad; and two, the people staying a few doors down from us we smoking pot on their balcony and our room reeked for hours.
We spent a day on the beach and rented a cabana ($30 I believe) and a beach chair ($10). I spent all day laying out and hanging with the family. They do not allow coolers or alcoholic beverages that were not purchased at the Hilton. I'm happy I went with a cabana instead of an umbrella because I saw at least 6 umbrellas fly away down the beach. The beach was clean and my daughter made friends with antoher girl whos family was right next to us and they built sand castles and swam all day together.
I enjoyed our stay here very much and I will definitely be returning soon. Clearwater is one of my favorite places to vacation and this hotel is definitely my top choice in the area.

This place is very beautiful in itself but I got a scam both when I bought the living room. In fact, on arrival I had to pay another 53 x to enter the pool and x the parking space. And both at checkout when they charged me another 53 for a mistake of theirs and they never returned me ..... In short, be careful .... When to buy a stay here .... Make sure everything is secure

The hotel was in the middle of remodeling and it made for inconveniences in walking through the lobby. Also, the ventilation system could not keep up with the work that was going on so it made for very stuffy, stale and humid air in the hotel.

Ok, so I never post bad reviews, as I suck it up and learn from the experience as not to go back. But with the prices they charge and charge for everything, I had to share! I had read the reviews before booking but I called and asked questions before booking to see what the hotel had to say. I was lied to! We stay at resort style places all the time and it s never been like this! The valet charge of $25 a night is understandable as parking is scarce. However the valet aren t friendly nor are the staff that helps with luggage. They act as if they don t want to be working. The daily resort fee gets you nothing...it s extra money for the hotel to pocket. The beach rentals are WAY overpriced and they then they charge 7% in tax and extra 18% resort fee on the rentals. We paid over $85 for beach chairs for the day. The only people that were super friendly were the guys who rented out the cabanas. You can t bring your own food/drink/chairs, so they have you! They don t acknowledge diamond members here and you don t get the diamond perks at this establishment. And when you check in, you feel like cattle being herded...turn and burn. They up charge for breakfast if you want anything hot and at $20 just for cereal, fruit and toast...that s pricey! The hallways are so loud and the plumbing is horrific. The hotel is not nice enough to charge what they charge. Clearwater beach is nice but you can get the same kind of nice beach at St. Pete/Treasure Island for better quality, great customer service and more for your money! Save yourself the money and time! This place was busy, but I d bet money it s not from repeat customers. This is a stay once kind of place.

Just left after staying Friday and Saturday night. First time at this hotel. I've been in Florida since 2001. We love Clearwater Beach. Not impressed with the hotel room. Prices and taxes are ridiculous. Many more hotel's in the area that are less expensive and worth it. Everything is overpriced. Very disappointed.

This was absolutely terrible. The ticketing clocks had incorrect times, unacceptable. They tried to charge my family for 4 hours, when we were only there for 2 and a half hours. I do not recommend at all, only go if you like to spend money.

Hotel charges for everything. 25 a day to park. 25 a day to stay at the hotel on top of the reservation. Got to our room. Room was dirty. Toilet seat was broken. Bathroom sink would not drain. And the light switch for bathroom doesnt work. Place is way overpriced for what it is. And its still under construction. If you want to sit and relax by the pool forget it. Constant construction noise. I wont stay again!

Horrible!!!! I live here in Florida. This is nothing but a tourist trap!!! On top of your $500.00 - $600.00 a night room fee they have a resort fee...$20.00 a day!!!! Are you kidding me! The resort fee is for internet (which should be complimentary), 2 bottles of water (whether you drink it or not), pool and hot tub usage (huh?) Wait, there's more....you have to pay extra for use of the lounge chairs on their private beach and they charge YOU $10.00 a day for SELF PARKING (seriously?!). Called the front desk and asked for more towels...they brought up DIRTY ones (used). This is ridiculous and awful how they take advantage of people on vacation.

Cool hotel. Nicely updated with a bit of the old-school feel remaining. They a have a sweet tiki bar, outdoor dining, lots of beach activities and are within walking distance of a nice kid-friendly park. The only drawback is some of the rooms have not-so-good views (e.g. the parking lot or rooftop A/C units).

Paid with points and I feel like we got the worst ...

Paid with points and I feel like we got the worst room in the place. Very loud, well into the night coming from both inside and outside. Asked for a room away from the elevator, were given a room directly across from the elevator, and the ice machine. The room faced Mandalay Ave. so the sounds of traffic, car stereos, sirens, drunken escapades from the multiple bars across the street lasted well into the early hours of the AM each night. I understand that this comes with the territory, but the sliding glass door sealed so poorly it didn't even keep the wind out so it's chances of keeping noise at bay were slim.

The hotel nickel and dimes you for everything. $20 for continental breakfast, $25 per day to park, ~$100 (after tax) per day for 2 beach chairs and an umbrella. You also pay a $25 per day "resort fee" that gets you 1 pool towel per person, per day, an hour of yoga, an hour of bicycle usage, and a picture that is essentially an opportunity for them to upsell you into buying more pictures. You decide if that represents value or not. For me it did not.

The birds on the beach, at the beach bar, and at the outside dining areas are extremely aggressive. As in, snatching food off people's plates while people were sitting at the table. They have no fear of people whatsoever. The pool area has some lines strung across it to deter the birds from landing, but there is nothing in the other areas and I would never eat outdoors there. If you have a drink with fruit on the glass you need to keep an eye on that as well as I watched birds snatch lemon and lime wedges off glasses when a person turned thier back briefly. I also watched two birds attack a table when the guest went to the bathroom. They grabbed food off both plates and were all over the table. A waiter chased them off, sort of, but his solution was to cover the plates with a napkin and leave. The second he left the birds moved the napkin and were back at it. Take the plates away?
Wait for the guest to come back? Nope. The second a bird saw any food a flock appeared and the person or people trying to eat were under siege. It would be impossible to enjoy a leisurely meal.

The valet was extremely slow at checkout. Called down to have them pull the car up, waited 5 minutes for them to answer the phone and get me off hold. I took my time getting downstairs (~5 minutes) and then waited 20 more minutes to finally get my car. All told about a half an hour. Again, it was busy, I understand, but none of the staff (except ONE valet) were obviously hustling to get cars and there was a LONG queue of people waiting for them at this point. Lots of valets walking and standing around. It got to the point that they started handing keys back to guests so they could find their cars themselves. Keep in mind that the guests had no idea where their cars had been put or if they had been blocked in.

Gorgeous view but from the start the front desk must have missed informed us on a lot because i went to to places that the paper she handed to me for food and drinks that she said i get half off. and when i brought it up they said no we aren't affiliated with hilton. and my fees were waved. I was still chaged my valet. when she said it was waved. so i never received anything besides a cheap hotel spa that when i arrived to my room was still dirty my bedding was never changed i have pictures of proof. As being a member and an employee I'm very disappointed and disgusted by the way this place is.. And i will never stay here again

We used the parking lot (the attendant was extremely friendly) and the attached tiki bar. The drinks were great, we had some of the best nachos I've ever had, and the service was excellent. She went above and beyond for our table.

Lots of construction going on during my stay. They also did not have complementary coffee or even water for that matter in the lobby. The WiFi did not work at all during the whole stay. At least the place was visibly clean. I have stayed at better hotels. Maybe try the one down the street.

Nice environment. Pools are great and pool bar has really nice staff. Food is good but overpriced. Especially breakfast. But it is a resort so you expect it. I don t like the fact that it s mandatory valet at $25 a day and a resort fee whisk is $25 a day. Read the fine print
