The rooms were fine, and the Mai Tai lounge was spectacular, but apart from this I wasn't impressed. And it definitely didn't live up to its ranking as the best beach resort in the UAE - I have tried many that were much, much better (including the Waldorf further down the same street)! The main restaurant at Hilton Al Hamra didn't present a very nice buffet selection in the evening - several courses were actually cold about 45 min into the service - and the waiters were very inattentive. When we complained, the management tried hard to make it up for us, but it didn't really seem to affect the way the other customers were treated in the restaurant. I don't plan on coming back, and I wouldn't recommend my friends to pick this one over the other hotels in Al Hamra.
Nice hotel with spacious rooms. The pool was not cooled and therefore very warm. Very well maintained facility.
Simply awesome place. Very nice ambience and very nice and cooperative people. Service is just awesome. Really amazed. Must visit type
Friendly service, nice and clean hotel, beautiful blooming garden
We were there for 10 days with our almost 2 year old son. Got a room in a house right on the beach. The location was great, 5 meters of grass and then you were already standing in the sand. Wonderful view. Now and then you heard some music from the neighboring beach, but it was never disturbing. The room was very large and the furnishings were okay. The room boy has adapted to us perfectly in case the little one has taken a nap for lunch. Above all, he was very friendly and fond of children. The cleanliness was very satisfactory.
In general, the staff was always very friendly and courteous.
The food was good, sometimes a bit bland and unfortunately very monotonous.
But you always found something where you can eat.
In the evening the air conditioning failed, a phone call, waiting 10 minutes and someone was there and made it work again.
We once used the children's service for an hour.
It wasn't that easy because of the language, but since there was no other child there, all three nannies took great care of the little one and we had time to do something on our own.
A small (large) mall was a three-minute drive away and you could buy cheap drinks and the like there in the shop so as not to have to live off the minibar.
We would visit this resort again as a family in a heartbeat.
The star less there is only for the monotonous food and since you don't get a parasol and then unfortunately the terrace does not invite you to linger in the pure sun at noon. Otherwise great :)
Awesome place to explore and to relax...
We had great time...
Beautiful hotel, beautiful views, great service and even better cuisine!
Does not deserve to have won the award for best beach resort in UAE 2017. In many ways it did not live up to the expectations. Worst experience we got in the main restaurant on first night. The staff were generally very inattentive. When asking for something they seemed to get annoyed and irritated. An example, after asking several times/waiters for ketchup it finally came after 20 minutes. The WORST part were several of the dishes were cold. Even worse one chicken dish which was cold just got filled up with some new on top - the old cold things just left at the bottom. Before going to the restaurant we wanted to try the Lebanese restaurant and asked in reception for it. The receptionist told us about it and arranged a bellboy and a buggy car to take us there. When we arrived and the buggy had left we saw the restaurant were always closed on Mondays. No-one had said anything about that!
After the incidents we decided it were so far away from our expectations that we wanted to leave even though we had a reservation for 2 nights more. We talked to the manager on duty about the incidents and he was very understanding and willing to do almost anything to make it right. We wanted to cancel our stay even though we had prepaid for 3 nights. He was willing to do that if that was what we really wanted, but would appreciate if we would stay so they could make it up to us. We agreed on talking again in the morning with the front office manager to decide what to do. At breakfast we were seated at a special table and it was obvious that the staff was instructed to give us a good feeling. They were all of a sudden very attentive and served us fresh fruit and warm croissants at the table even though we hadn't asked for it. There were nothing to complain about the breakfast, it was nice. The assistant restaurant manager came to us and apologised for the evening and would had appreciated that we had told them directly and not the Front Desk. But the problems were so big we meant it was best.
After breakfast the Front office manager and the head chef came to us to hear about the incidents that had occurred. We told them and they were not happy about the incidents. They wanted to try to do whatever they could to make us happy if we would continue our stay. They offered us among others free dinner, but we had already decided to leave. We appreciated their efforts to try to make it up to us. But then you first get the feeling of all the bad spots it is hard to wipe it away. They were understanding and could truly see what we meant.
When checking out the manager made a nice and much appreciated effort - he had cleared our bills from the restaurant and our drinks from the bar. Very nice indeed.
Despite all the bad things the Vic Traders Mai Tai Lounge shall be mentioned as a VERY great place. The service here were outstanding. The live music great and the quality of drinks very high.
But in total we can not in our wildest imagination see how it could have been awarded best beach resort in UAE. Tried many greater places - this is far from the best.
But thx again to the managers for being understanding and really wanting to try their utmost to make us feel better. Much appreciated.
Only referring to the Friday brunch. For the money they charge they should offer a buffet and not a set brunch with small options for choice.
Hotel recommendable, dedicated to couples without children, no animation and poor all inclusive for a Hilton brand, in August the hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment which does not really interfere with the holidays and having a good time to eat at the pool bar you have to exchange it with dinner ........ lack of fruit, fries, cake and quick snack reduces the quality of the hotel, I recommend August holidays, in the season ie October, November can be crowded at the pool and lunch because the restaurant is not too big and you can wait for releasing the table, rooms and bathroom large enough, often cleaned, beach large additional plus free deckchairs, while it is not sand like eg in Turkey only ground shells that do not bother to walk without shoes, very nice and pleasant service outside the hotel is also safe nobody no accosting, old Dubai is like Egypt drags you by the hand to enter their shop, DRAMAT and the new Danube sensational, I recommend everyone to see this city a lively 24h and you can see flowing oil in every place in $
In summary, it's worth visiting this place.
Awesome experience, reaaaaaallly wonderful I loved it...............................................good experience every body to enjoy...................................................
Wonderful arrangements,
Price also good
Breathtaking scenery, delicious food and friendly atmosphere
AMAZING, AMAZING place to relax and remove all stress. One of the best customer service. The girl on reception, her name is Aynah, was very professional and had more than 5 star standard attitude. The place need a little maintenance, but the way they treat their guests will cover all of these small gaps. Thank you so much, I am really impressed and will come back here again and again
Dear Hilton Al Hamra,
My apologies for the previous review. It was a review meant for Al Hamra residence and village. I love your resort and I go there constantly with friends and family. I hope this edit can fix whatever I posted before.
Thanks and best regards
Fadel
The chauvinistic service of men disturbed me. Especially one waiter. But talking to the hotel manager helped.
Nice ambience sitting over the 18th hole, very good daily specials
a lavish luxury beach resort, one of my favourite restsurent is in the hotel, i love the Churrasco menu at the Pura Vida. if you are meat lover try that..
This is a lovely hotel on the beach. Had a few issues with an early arrival at 09.30, and no room available till 12.00, not fully explained where and when it is all inclusive, then no wrist band till the evening . Ok, so teething problems, but you cannot fault any of the staff! All so very helpful. The only other thing is the beach isn't real, only a few inches of sand over hard ground, but that's Dubai for you . This is not personal, and she is a good singer, but it would be nice to have a bit of variation throughout the week. I cannot fault the bar staff including Priya, Hari, Nitin, Prabin and of course Manohar, lovely people to associate with.
We will not choose this hotel again. Were really disappointed. The food was totally miserable and the staff rude. We stayed in a room in one of the villas. The room was very large and well equipped, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired ..
We had booked all inclusive .. such a bad all-inclusive we have never experienced. Drinks were only available at certain times. The food in the beach bar had to be paid for the most part ... why then AI is offered, if they do not implement, is questionable.
The best part of the holiday was the beach and Dubai city.
It was a great relaxing, chilled vacation. The hotel is very quiet, no entertainment, which we did not miss at all! The rooms are more than spacious, the facility is indeed getting old, but is very well maintained and it is very clean. The staff is super friendly ... especially Lenin (Lifeguard) we would like to mention, the man is great! The food was always adequate, large selection and very good in taste - again the staff was very courteous and friendly. We can only recommend this hotel, if you want to come down and switch off. That is absolutely possible here. Also the beach is highly recommended !!! The fact that it goes in flat, it is also possible for non-swimmers to enjoy the sea. To cool it is too warm ;-) but no one can do that. We absolutely enjoyed our ten day holiday and would definitely recommend the hotel - value for money. Thank you for the great time and see you soon!
Pretty hotel reception rather slow at check in. House boy very helpful
Superb golf course and the club house facilities are world class
It's an Ok place. Other facilities by Hilton in ras al khaima are much better. Service from the staff is not as comparable to the rest of resorts in UAE. May be Dubai has spoiled us or set the bar high
Unfortunately, it is not at the expected level. Air Conditioner Recurring Holidays. The cup is disabled. Found an insect or forty - four
I have stayed 3 nights recently in hilton al hamra golf resorts, it was very nice time there ..service very good....while having breakfast and dinner Niranjan was fantastic guy.
But there is small complain also when we request for tea spoon room service said it is chargeable . I have been in so many place in UAE it happened first time.
Over all good experience .
I have never been more disappointed. I was with the TUI office - 5 stars hotel ??? Please see how clean it was in the room, after the change the second one is not better. Good for allergy sufferers. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Especially in the morning, when dry meats and cheese from previous days were put up. However, the lady from the tui for my complaint replied that I am sorry eggs that did not hit my taste when it comes to food. Two days I sat with an unopened suitcase waiting for a "clean room." This was also not a reason for complaint, after all, I finally got a room different, it does not matter that it is equally dirty.
I stayed here and was not impressed at all. The service was terrible and the food was very average. I would look elsewhere especially for the money
A nice resort, golf, belgium cafe, a lot of to offer
The cleanliness is highly appreciated, but the furniture is very old. Great beach. The food is fine, a little more variety would be very good. The staff is very nice and friendly, each of our requests was met, especially from the ladies at the front desk who were courteous and helpful. The all inclusive package perfectly okay, the prices otherwise, are totally overpriced. One liter of water costs 7 and a can of beer 0.5l 9 .
If you are looking for evening entertainment, you are wrong here. Otherwise great place to relax.
Not a stay.. just made a phone call and whoever answered (Justin) was not very friendly at all. Did not sound pleasant over the phone at all.
I called to enquire about restaurants at the property, my oh my, the voice on the other side sounded like he was disturbed. His tone of voice sounded like "How dare I called at that time to ask about anything)
Luxury.. relax.. family.. shopping.. golf.. beach.. everything in one place..
Why Germans have reserve tables in a restaurant ... and other guests have random places
. are they worse guests ???
Very good hotel, delicious food and very friendly service
Beautiful quiet location, around 45 mins from Dubai with great restaurants and facilities.
Overall experience was a 4/5 stars. We spent two nights during the past spring break and was welcomed to a lovely Vila room at beach front. The beach was wonderfully clean and the children loved it along with the pools.
At check-in the receptionist wasn't the friendliest but I've had worse. Breakfast is the main reason for not giving 5 stars due to these simple facts: limited options, the warmers didn't exactly kept the food warm, pancakes were not exactly fluffy but the omelette station was awesome! Room service was promptly delivered and anything else that was asked for, such as ice.
Besides those few negatives, we would definitely return and recommend this Hilton as a short vacation destination within the Emirates. Easy, short drive from all emirates.
Great resort, with awesome service and delightful staff.
Very nice. UAE has done a great job of creating a pleasant atmosphere for tourists.
Great hotel nothing to complain about we had a wonderful family vacation!
Lovely location. Stayed in Junior suite beach access villa. Rooms are little outdated but had good access to the beach and was very spacious. Restaurant Mai Tai was very nice with lovely polynesian food. Staff arranged birtday cake for my daughter at short notice.
Quiet and cozy hotel, good for escape on a long week end
The place was relaxing and very beautiful. The staff were friendly and service provided was courteous. The rooms of the villages were spacious and the ambiance around was very relaxing.
Star only for the room and the view other wise bad service, buggy would take an our to come to our villa we stayed for tow nights and the buggy were late four or five times, when i was at the restaurant at night and need a ride to my room because it was really so hot to walk out there it took 45 minutes for the buggy to come to the reception and when it arrived the security allowed other passengers that we just had issues when we called for any help no one is picking the phone also for the check in it took long time the beach is pretty clean but the sand got some mud or I do not know its somehow make ur foot black also also bring back the change for anything to my room it took more than hour, they have two pool its small both of them and to crowded I really prefer if they would keep on of them for adults since the kids need place to play also the adults would separate from family pool The experience was bad from all Allen And only lived the room is large and the view is beautiful, but not hallucinating, no problem, no quick service and delivery to the golf car take hours apart from the traffic, the swimmers who have them and once we were waiting for the car take us the room felt in the racism Once the foreigners arrived, ride the first car, Only a quarter and eating delay and most of what they return the rest of the same time the money is supposed to be fun and take them after a hour Lin return the jaw and eat delayed the salvation really bad and Maastahl five stars return and only the space of the room I travel in the villa I was tired of Halcy and nothing
Without a doubt it is a 5* hotel experience!!! located on al hamra beach Ras Al Khaimah, with stunning view and amazing vibe. Great facilities, and dinning experience . Rooms are big , clean and beach villas have direct beach acess .100% yes for me
The rooms are available for those 3 stars. Rooms in the villas. This 4 star hotel is surrounded by a variety of swimming pools and so on
The population - super modern
DUBAI, the willingness to help whether it is the organizations ----
Just wow
Good property but inside room facilities are old may be time for a face lift
