I was poor with no insurance. I had a medical emergency and the doctor on duty was more concerned with how I was going to pay. She proved it by sending the medical bill to a garnishment company and now that I am employed a quarter of my income is going to them. I have never even heard of a hospital doing something like this.

I went here to have gallbladder removed. From the front desk to all the nurses I had before, during and after surgery were amazing. I have never encountered such kind, caring and helpful nurses and doctors as I have at Hillcrest. I had to leave a review because I was treated with such compassion.

Do not think I would recommend this hospital to anyone. Surgery went well, but everything after that went downhill. No rest at all. Loud hallway all night. Someone in every hour . Stayed one night, going home. At least we can rest and get well at home.

I had my daughter here and the nurses and Dr.s were horrible. The day after I had my daughter I started to run a fever and my entire body started to swell so bad to where I was in so much pain and in tears and the Dr.s and nurses came in and just stood there and stared at me and never would give me anything and tell me what was going on with me. They did a horrible job of keeping me comfortable especially after I had my daughter. They stay and nurses were terrible. But my daughter was in the NICU there for 44days and I have to say very few of the NICU nurses were absolutely amazing the rest were awful and we had some words with a few of them... Overall I would never go back or refer anyone here.

By far the worst hospital in the Tulsa area. Especially for the elderly or people without an advocate. People all over are rude. There is little
Communication between staff. There is zero understanding or care of patient needs. Filthy doesn't even begin to cover house keeping.

Brought to this hospital by ambulance in 2018 for kidney stone surgery. This experience was great. Just had to brought back by ambulance and was on a completely different area and was not so great. Dropped off by ambulance and just crawled into the bed in pain. The room was already occupied. When someone finally came in the room it seemed like forever started asking all the questions as I m crying in pain and tells me she will see about pain meds as soon as she can. I asked if my 12 year old daughter could stay with me until the next day for surgery and was told they would have to ask my roommate and find out the hospital policy. Now granted I wasn t asked if I was ok with being in a room with some stranger and her male friend. Was told no she couldn t stay. After a long period of time I was given pain meds and had surgery the next day. I was released by my doctor to go home and the hospitalist tells me she can t give me any pain meds but is sending me with a script for antibiotics. So I get home and I m bleeding, cramping and feeling like I m irinating glass shards all with no pain meds. Got a call today from my dr office and they were surprised that I wasn t given any pain medications. Not the best experience when your in pain and depending on good care.

Do not let any of your elder or Jewish relatives o...

Do not let any of your elder or Jewish relatives or friends even think about this hospital.

The tech, Samantha appearing fat and tall, blonde with thick glasses likely lie lied to to the nurse, appearing short and pale, that I had probably messed with my friend to the effect of making him fall before being discharged. My friend was supposed to be monitored 24/7 by a tech, and assisted with all and every tasks from eating to even walking to the bathroom, regardless. Instead he told me in Yiddish and English, and the other patient in the room as well, that he had to attempt walk to the bathroom because nobody was there to help him, and fell flat on his side for 2-3 minutes. The tech,, lied straight to my face, mind you without eye contact or much confidence, that he fell against the wall in order to not get fired. The nurse,, covered for the tech in order to rush him out and save her own self, and absolutely refused to talk about why the tech, , was not there to help. This was on the tenth floor.

The nurse asked me to leave 2 times. The first time I did, but thought that there wasn't a concrete reason for me to not be in the room, so I came back in. The second time I refused, about 10 minutes later, she basically said I would be forced out. I heard her say, even though she shut door directly on my face, that she thought I was not a good caretaker, having had no evidence of this whatsoever without whatever the creepy tech had said. He said she was wrong. She reaffirmed her point. He asked why. She changed the subject. She continued talking about nursing homes for a good 7 minutes, not letting him speak. He confirmed that she said this, mind you his memory is better than mine.

She had absolutely no reason to attempt to brainwash him, as if he were stupid, or even treat him or me that way, even though she was trying to cover herself as a nurse. I personally was surprised that she had even made it into nursing school, deep southern drawls as well as permanently blatant and clueless looks don't go well with academics in medicine, well, at least not in Oklahoma.

He required kosher meals. You know what they gave him? An egg-sandwich with a Styrofoam cup, on the same plate, with a piece of BACON in it. What a joke.

My cousin visited him all of the previous times in the hospital that he was there. He had nothing but nice things to say about the hospital and staff except for the "kosher" meals. I told him about my experience, he was infuriated, mind you he chooses not to look at the glass as half full not empty.

In short, take your elder friends or relatives to another hospital besides this one. If you are Jewish, well, never, ever let them near this hospital.

The medical personal also talk amongst each other like highschoolers, and talk about other co-workers as well as doctors in front of patients and their friends and relatives alike. I hope the right person will see this and take heed. They will save themselves before you, and if any of them make a mistake, they will not think twice about blaming your friends or relatives and attempting to turn you against your friends or relatives in a last ditch effort to save themselves.

The sad part was that they actually to expect you to cooperate with their blatant corruption, as if they think they seem somehow intellectually superior to you in some sort of sick way. Run.

If either of the mentioned personnel read this, understand, that I was severely wanting to get out of this place, that's the only reason I complied with your lies. I also didn't appreciate how you cut my friend off with "well, you can think at home". I understand you were wanting to get him out of the hospital as fast as you can with your various statements to the both of us, but neither of us are stupid, and neither of us are from Oklahoma, and neither of us think as slow as you appear to think.

Think twice the next time someone might want to treat someone like an animal without any facts, just because you want to save your a**.

By the way you did this to a child of holocaust survivors.

Zero stars.

Zero stars.
Found a nurse taking pictures of my father's condition, not confronting the nurse, I let it be he said it was so he could show a Dr. How much worse it had gotten. Until I saw him laughing, sharing, and making fun of my father's reason for being in this facility at the nurse's station out loud where anyone could hear it. Cristen Neeriemer was on his name tag

I had a surgery with Dr. Gene Dickens through the Hillcrest Day Surgery department last week. My experience was 100% positive. The nurses and ancillary staff were efficient and kind. I was impressed with how they seemed to enjoy what they do and seemed to make patient contact priority. Additionally, Dr. Dickens was warm and did a wonderful job getting me through the process. Great job and thank you all!

My daughter in law is supposed to deliver her baby here and the experience we have had so far has been horrible . We understand you all are busy but that is no reason to be rude . Why be in healthcare if you cannot be a professional ? Definitely looking at other avenues to deliver her baby .... remember nurses , your attitudes represent the hospital brand .

My wife has been here since 7 with a really big kidney stone, and its almost 2 now. They haven't gave her anything for pain, won't let her know if it's ok to have a drink of water or anything to eat. They say they been trying to get ahold of a doctor for 8 hrs. This is by far the worst hospital I've ever seen. Wouldn't send my worst enemies dying dog here.
Ok doctor finally came in and said that the nurses just got ahold of him about 10 minutes ago and its 2:40. So i guess the nurses have been lying to us for the last 9 hours. I'm getting ahold of the main board and see if there can be anything done about this. Verena has been very good to my wife and wish we could do something nice in return for the hospitality. Thank u! She should be running the 5th floor. At least they have someone that actually does there job right.
We been here for 3 days on a 1 day deal.

So disappointed in how my friend was cared for when rushed their by ambulance for not breathing. Staff didnt realized she had family in the room and we sat for over an hour having NO IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG. When we got the attention of a nurse, we were just told someone would be there soon, I get it. Your really busy. But when the nurse popped in, he couldnt tell us a thing, said the doctor was busy and would eventually come in. Thanks for the mental distress. Seriously.

Continued from "Nonsensical Me"...

Continued from "Nonsensical Me"...

While in the ICU (the 2nd time), she'd asked for pain medicine. Now, I agreed with staff that she shouldn't have it, because she couldn't stay awake at all. But when the ICU doctor came in to speak with her about it, he didn't just say..."We can't give you medication, because we want you to stay alert." NO!

He actually said, "You've had a very painful surgery. We had to break your ribs and install a metal plate between two of your ribs. You're going to be in pain, and you should expect to be in pain."

#1.) NO-ONE HAD TOLD US THEY BROKE OR WOULD HAVE TO BREAK HER RIBS!
#2.) NO-ONE TOLD US ABOUT A METAL PLATE!
#3.) What in the heck kind of response is that to a patient? And, believe me, it wasn't put to her in a friendly manner.

On the 5th day, we were told by a nurse that a doctor wanted to take her off of fluids to reduce chances for pneumonia and continued fluid build-up around her lungs... no joke...literally 2 minutes later.. a new doctor came in and said he was going to put her on fluids, because her blood pressure was too low (due to being overly medicated)... and her kidneys were failing.

This is one example of the consistent and instant contradictions we experienced with medical staff. But dare to ask anyone a question! Doctors perceive every question as you questioning or doubting their expertise, and nurses/hospital staff will meet you with sarcasm that they're not the doctor.

On February 1st, I left her briefly to feed her dogs. While at the house, I get a phone call from the hospital saying that they'd be releasing her the following day. It was explained to me that they wanted to wing her off of oxygen over that night and see how she did.

I get back-up to the hospital (within that hour), and they're getting her packed and ready to go! They've got the sign-out sheet prepared and everything! They've even already called the oxygen service to deliver her a tank and regulator for home use! What?!

The woman had ICU psychosis, could barely walk for herself, and was still on oxygen.

After two follow-ups, we still don't know if the procedure even worked!!! It's been a month!

Every time I ask, we get sent for more x-rays or a CT Scan... and referred to someone else or later-dated appointment as some sort-of "we're on top of this" pacification to get us out of the office!

On one follow-up with a Nurse Practitoner, I asked if her blood pressure medicine could be causing the pleural edema, and they said, "No! Metoprolol doesn't cause that!" And, I said, "Yeah, but she's been taking amlodipine up until 2 weeks ago! Could that have caused it?"

Guess what the hurried and whispered answer was... Can you guess? It was "yes, amlodipine can cause that"... and she rushed out of the office as quickly as she could immediately after, saying she'd call her cardiologist right now. As if we'd get some answers. You know what we got.. can you guess by now?

Yep, another follow-up appointment. No answers.

You know, it's pretty sad when staff actually complained to me about the robotic treatment of patients, and they did.

The best advice I can give anyone reading this is be pro-active and self-educate. Otherwise, you'll be mowed over with pacification, lack of information, and good old fashioned run-around. Stick with your family members when they're hospitalized, and pay close attention to what's being done.

I called my grandma's Doctor's office to see if she could have Tylenol for pain, after she was released. His staff told me, "Yeah! She can have aspirin!"

She's on Eliquis (blood thinner).. aspirin combined with Eliquis could kill her! I said, 'She can have aspirin while she's taking a blood thinner?" She re-checked and said... "ohh noo!"

I'd asked about Tylenol, and she came back with aspirin. If I hadn't known aspirin and Eliquis can lead to interal bleeding, I'd have politely hung-up and gave her an aspirin. I HAD to know that... don't rely on medical expertise.

My daughter was a patient on 4th floor birth care unit from 7/7/18-7/10/18. On 7/8/18, I woke to multiple bug bites on arms legs and neck. Reported these accumulating bites to multiple staff over 36 hour period and nothing was done. On Monday, I finally caught a bug crawling on the couch I had been sleeping on. It was identified as a BED BUG. I showed bug to staff, was given instructions to double bag all our belongings and shower, which my daughter and I both did. We were moved to another room, where recliner was broken. Upon discharge, went to retrieve belongings from old room, they were in the first entrance to room, and labeled as bed bugs in capital letters for anyone that came into room to see. I am beyond furious as I told the staff multiple times that I am allergic to bug bites. Was met with I am sorry . Well I m sorry . Won t pay for medical bills that could still arise from these nasty bugs, plus the cost of washing all of our belongings that were in the room, plus the exposure of my newborn grandson to mites and whatever else those nasty things shed! I would give ZERO stars if given the option

Worst experience of my life, and my husband's we were told we were to stupid to understand what had happened to my husband by his Neurologist and we wouldn't remember anyway. Also were given the run around regarding getting his patient records, which are your right to receive they gave us a myriad of excuses. The only saving grace were how nice the nurses were and how they let me read the ct scan reports so I could know if my husband's brain bleed was getting better because for 3 days after the initial incident the neurologist didn't take the time to even talk to him or us.

If there were a rating less than one star, I'd giv...

If there were a rating less than one star, I'd give it. I don't even know where to start. My grandmother was advised she'd be going in for a simple "procedure," which turned-out to be one of the most difficult surgeries anyone can have... and is rarely given to a 79-year-old.

Initially, she'd been diagnosed with A-Fib last spring, which developed into a pleural edema by fall. For the A-Fib and high blood pressure, she'd been prescribed warfarin and amlodipine, in addition to having been prescribed an increased dosage of Citalopram from 20mg to 40mg.

No-one knows why this fluid is building around her lung (even now, after her surgery). Though she has A-Fib, her heart has appeared healthy (not damaged), and no signs of cancer have been found in the repeated tests of her fluid and x-rays/CT Scans. So, it was BRIEFLY explained to us that she'd need to have a Talc Pleurodesis to biopsy her lung and to prevent further fluid build-up.

I'll get to details about her surgery and hospital stay later (believe me.. you'll want to stick with me on this!)...

First, with minimal research of medical journals, I discovered via the American College of Cardiology (and other such resources) that pleural edemas and heart failure can be the side effects of taking any one of the prescriptions I've previously mentioned she'd been prescribed. She'd been regularly taking all three for over 6 months (the amlodipine for more than a decade).

Could it be possible that all 3 of these prescriptions taken together, might increase her chances for developing such side negative effects... like a pleural edema and a fast/erratic heart rate? Especially when the doctors admittedly can't find the cause for her pleural edema.

Still, nothing was mentioned to us or was even changed to test and see if her medications could be the cause when no other cause surfaced. Instead, she needed surgery... of course!

So, on January 25th, she has a Talc Pleurodesis. We were told she'd be in the hospital for 2 overnight stays. In total, she ended-up being hospitalized for 6 days.. and even then they let her go too soon.

Her doctor told me that he usually puts patients BPAP in the ICU for the first night, instead she was put on the 5th floor of the heart hospital. At 2:00am, she was rushed to the ICU, because she couldn't wake-up enough from the combination of the anethestic and morphine to breathe for herself.

The following day (Tuesday), she was back on the 5th floor. Wednesday afternoon, she was back in the ICU. They hadn't given her enough time to ensure she was awake, alert, and her breathing had stabilized before originally taking her out of the ICU.

Turned-out (I discovered 4 days later), she'd had an allergic reaction to the Talc and to the anesthesia... in addition to being given too much pain medication. She couldn't stay awake enough to remain alert and cognizant of what doctors and hospital staff were telling her. She also ended-up with a very common phenomenon called "ICU or Hospital Psychosis" (1 in 3 patients get this).

Bare in mind, what I know of any of this.. I've learned through my own research. Every question I had for hospital staff was met with impatience and even sarcasm at times.

Worried sick in the ICU with my grandmother, I'd asked a newly arrived nurse on shift a simple question and he sarcastically quipped.. "I don't know. I'm not her doctor!" That wasn't the first time I'd gotten such a sarcastic response from a variety of hospital staff--from RN's to Tech's and Respiratory Therapists.

I knew these people weren't her doctor. I'm not mentally handicapped. But, unfortunately, no doctor was ever available to ask such questions... a point which I highlighted in response.

Is it really so difficult for hospital staff who don't have answers to respond with... "I'll ask her doctor and get back with you... or, I'll have her doctor get with you about your question!"

This will be continued in a second post... I've ran out of character space.

I took my mother here with a brain bleed, when I was finally able to meet with the neuro surgeon he spoke to me a whole two minutes to basically say he couldnt do anything and that she was going to die at any time or maybe a few days. Sorry aboutcha bad luck but good luck to ya I have more important things to get to kinda attitude. From my observation, I seen a very unprofessional, lazy man with lack of interest in his patients. (They really should make md's pass a patch adams course before they can pass their boards). I always assumed surgeons were hard workers with alot of heart and passion for saving lives. He couldn't helped what happened to my mother, but he could have tried to save her. It seemed as though alot of other surgeons there are the same way. Now the nurses, amazing I think. Some of the most caring people you will ever come across. I had never seen anything like them at any other hospital. They worked hard. They have alot of compassion for their patients. Alot of understandy. They made our situation as easy on me and family as they could. And made sure to do whatever they needed to do to make sure we were comfortable as possible alot with their patients. Its a damn shame they do most the work and get much les than the surgeon who you will rarely see. I would love to find the nurse who were there and tell the much I appreciate them for what the did.

Had to bargain with nurses to get even part of my prescribed medication. Never shown CT or xray, after asking repeatedly. Original complaint never address. Complete humiliation and stripped of rights by the student doctor, as directed from the doctor assigned to my case, whom I saw once.
Dirty, unsanitary, hairs on wall and floor of shower.
Doctors and some nurses arrogant and intimidating.
If I were in a car crash which was then hit by a train, on which a jet had crashed, and the incident took place at the front door of that hospital, the only way I would agree to go in was at gunpoint, and maybe not even then.

This hospital is NOT where I wanted to take my grandmother but this is where she was transferred to in order to be placed into ICU. Instead of admitting her, we ve been sitting in an ER room for 5 hours now (and still counting), she s not hooked up to her leads which is what they wanted monitored very closely, her IV drip is supposed to be consistently going since she is dehydrated and it s not hooked up, we cannot get any help, and when there is someone in here they quickly write a few things down and before we can say a word they run out or worse when we do say something they ignore what was just asked and leave anyways...... It s not like it s a life or death situation..... Oh what!!!! Yes, yes it is.
Hillcrest PR don t worry about sending your auto comment about contacting you based on this review...... I ve already contacted you with my concerns and it went absolutely nowhere.

The Same Day Surgicenter was excellent! I went in at 6:00 am on 6/15/17. Every Staff member from the intake desk to recovery was friendly, positive, helpful and reassuring to me. I was well taken care of from beginning to end. As I was wheeled to surgery, all I saw were friendly faces and 'Good mornings' I wanted to share a positive review to balance all the negatives. I think people can start with a negative outlook and nothing pleases them. I encountered excellent staff all around me. So my experience was nothing but good!!

I had cataract surgery performed in the Same Day S...

I had cataract surgery performed in the Same Day Surgical Center. The nurse who took my vitals during surgery prep put the blood pressure cuff on my lower arm just below my elbow instead of above it, which apparently made it difficult for the automatic machine to read my blood pressure and it pumped the cuff up so tight it felt like my arm and hand below the cuff were literally going to explode. I was nearly in tears! I complained about it being tighter than any cuff I had ever experienced (and I'm 68 yrs old!) and her response was that I had better be quiet and sit still or it would just pump tighter! Instead of stopping the machine, getting a larger cuff, and placing it above my elbow as it should have been, she stood there complacently just letting the machine do it's SLOW release of pressure. Of course the reading was sky high!

Next, she positioned herself in front of my right hand as she tried to start an IV. I am not afraid of getting IV's started, even though it is usually a challenging process for the nurses. My veins are quite elusive. She got it stuck in a vein, and then said, "Oh, that's not going to work." And pulled it back out, leaving a nice big bruised area on that hand. I told her it is usually more successful on my left hand, and she scolded me for not telling her that earlier, and moved to that side. Telling me, "You know why it didn't work in your other hand, right?" I said no I didn't except I figured she must have hit a valve. She snapped, "It's because you moved!" I said, " I did?" Because I thought I had sat perfectly still. She insisted I had moved my hand all over and there was no way she could do it right. I know I didn't. I had no reason to. It doesn't bother me that much to get stuck for IV's unless they have to do it a dozen times.

Soon after I got moved to the next pre-op position and when another nurse came in I asked if it was not possible to replace this pressure cuff with a little larger one that could go on my upper arm. She immediately got another one that worked just fine. Incidentally, the cuff was going over the sleeve of my flannel shirt too. This time when the machine ran, my blood pressure was at its normal reading. So thankful for that second nurse! However, both nurses left the pressure cuff on the same arm where the IV was running. Not supposed to do that either. It was eventually changed by the surgical nurse when I got in the operating room because it was going to be in the way for the Dr to work on that side.

Fortunately, I survived! And many of the staff, however, were very kind and helpful. But things should not be that way at a place where all the staff should be doing their best to make their patients safe and comfortable during an already unpleasant, and sometimes quite frightening, experience.

Worst hospital service I have ever gotten. The attendants are rude and hate dealing with patients. I never received a phone call about my results and they are all too lazy to look on the computer and tell me them.

I paid a bill that was not submitted to the correct insurance address , therefore paying full price for necessary appointments.
I had to personally investigate why these charges were not accepted or even SENT to my insurance.
I was told by Hillcrest billing to call my insurance and figure what happened myself.
After 4 phone calls on my day off today, I have been told that they have had the wrong address for billing this whole time.
I love my doctor, but Hillcrest billing is incompetent.

I was just told on the phone I would have my reimbursed money for Black Friday . Estimated refund around august or September. I am out $800 due to staff unwilling to be detail oriented. Treat your patients better and train your billing staff to do their jobs appropriately.

This is specifically for the Emergency Room. I'm giving it a 2 simply because the front desk person and the triage nurse were so nice.
I took my dad there for treatment. He's 88. After he was triaged at a level 2 (level 1 is most critical, then level 2, and so on), we were sent back to the waiting room, where we waited for 3 hours! We decided to leave early because he was feeling somewhat better. If he has another episode, we'll go to a different ER.
I don't know why they were so busy today, and but there were so many ambulances coming in and out, that I figured we would never get a bed.
They did eventually open an area to treat those who were less critical. That seems backwards to me... seems like the more critical should get treated first.
I don't blame the staff, this would fall completely on administration. They either need to divert patients somewhere else, when it's this busy, or get more staff and beds or figure out a more efficient workflow. One thing that would help is knowing how much longer it would be before you were assigned a bed. If we had been told that we would sit there for more than 3 hours, we would have gone to a different ER.
It seems to me, that if you are really in critical condition you should try a different Emergency room.

My mother was there last week and the place was filthy!!!! The nurses were hateful even with me there, I can only imagine how they would have treated her if I had not been there. I pointed out to them an electrical outlet that was broken and very dangerous. Noone seemed to care. There were dried stains all on the bottom of the bed, walls, floors and the one cleaning lady was so rude that she was slamming things and cussing. I reported her to a nurse and she said that the cleaning lady was always that way. In one of the intensive care waiting rooms there were electrical wires exposed from an electrical box by one of the tv's. This place is a fire and death trap waiting to happen. BEWARE before you let your loved one stay there!

This is by far the worst ER experience I have ever had. I was on a plane that they diverted to Tulsa due to my acute side pain. Once in the ER I did get medication to relieve the pain but no attendance... I once vomited on the floor because nobody came when I pushed the nurse call. Two hours later they confirmed I had a kidney stone, wrote me a prescription for Prequastet and told me I was being discharged and to get ready to go... I was in no condition to go anywhere, disoriented and vomiting, couldn't hold me eyes open... they keep pushing, ever 20min... until I asked the attendant if he was the head of the department which he said he wasn't and than he got real nice and shut my light off, got me apple juice and said I can stay as long as I needed. I overheard them tell the person in the room next to me that they had 5min to get out or they would have to call security. These people have no business taking care of people.

ICU at hillcrest was great thanks to Bill and Amanda. Then we got sent to the 9 floor the bathroom doesn't work the room is cold told the nurse and she said good luck with the bathroom and she laughed and said its don't feel cold to me. We was on the 5 floor a month ago and was there for a Week and that floor was even worst. So i have asked this same question. Why don't nurses show compassion any more. People are sick its there job to make patients feel better.but when nurses are rude or don't do what they say they will do it just makes the patient feel worse and family feel more scared.

I was born here

I was born here

Hi, editing my review just to give some context. I was born here way back in 2006, of course I don't remember being born but one day I thought while looking through google maps on my free-time "hm, I should leave a review for the hospital I was born at" so I did. Now, I will tell you I was very tired so I didn't say much, but i'm here to provide some context and nice words so with that being said... I believe in y'all and I know it's really stressful right now with the virus and I know you are doing your best so if on the small chance you see this I am very thankful for you. Sincerely, Calvin, born in Oklahoma in 2006, now living in Washington.

Worst hospital experience ever. Every member of staff is so rude. Absolutely atrocious. Feels more like a jail than a hospital.
If you can make it to St Johns, I highly reccomend going there instead. Everyone there is very sweet and accommodating.

I also called ahead of time prior to my arrival and was hung up on TWICE.

Horrible place. I was an employee there and i have to be honest. Just turn around and go to another hospital. Not very clean at all. Some nurses are nice as others dont even care about the patients at all especially the ones that have passed. The specialty side is a joke except one nurse named Samantha. They have no idea how to do much of anything. The nurses on the floors are lazy and dont tend proper care to their patients. They have bed bugs as well. The cafeteria does have good food. The doctors haha they need to go back to school and learn again. I quit after having enough of that place. I just couldn't see how people could be so careless.

I can't fathom some of the reviews here. I'm tempted to chalk it up to mere perception. The people at Hillcrest have always been great in my experience and they've helped my father numerous times. I couldn't imagine leaving a negative review.

Worst Labor and delivery I've ever experience out of the 4 pregnancies I have had.

Wish I told the department director about my concerns of a privacy violation from a staff member that night or time but it's been years. Hopefully, that CNA don't ever do that again to another patient as it is rude and unethical.

Wish zero stars was an option! Hillcrest is two for two in providing pathetic treatment. They are repeating the fiasco from January. (When I was admitted and ignored for four hours until I called my doctor directly) Three hours and nothing has happened! No doctor, no pain meds, no answers! They don t have the doctors to treat the patients! No one in my family will ever be seen here again!

Just spoke with the house supervisor (shortly after she hung up on me). Still not a doctor. She was indignant enough to state I wasn t allowing her to get a word in edgewise . I had to remind her she had had almost four hours to speak to us and had not.

MRI ordered at midnight. My wife pages nurse for nausea meds at 9:30. Nurse comes in and preforms screening to schedule MRI. No meds!

Wish I could give them zero stars. My sister was is in the hospital here and our family was very concerned and she did not have a phone.

The nurse for the ER was so rude and kept repeating the same thing we do not have any phones in the rooms.

She had ZERO empathy and was so rude.

She went there earlier in the day and they aren t doing their job so she had to go back so they can do their job and actually run tests!!!!

Had surgery on Friday released on Saturday can't say I was very impressed with hospital but short stay. Went back Saturday PM to emergency room having trouble breathing. The emergency room was dirty & no privacy while changing into gown for xray which took quite a while since they said I was dehydrated. Admitted with pnemonia in one lung the other lung partially collapsed. Put me on the heart ward. Since Dr Warlick didn't believe I had pnemonia he said I didn't need breathing treatments & my family & I thru a fit & got breathing treatments. Ended up with 3 surgeries in 4 days, had to be put in a coma & on life support. Still being given atibiotics for pnemonia but breathing treatments were up to me. The nurses on most part were very uncaring not even bothering to contact the dr when I couldn't breathe which was due to complications from my neck surgery. I did finally get a nurse I think named Mary Jane in the step down after my second surgery, that actually cared & tried very hard to contact dr Wilson when her shift started & she saw the distress I was in. .As soon as he arrived he took me directly to surgery.Ended up with 3 surgeries in 4 days, had to be put in a coma & on life support. I survived thanks to a very skilled surgeon but no thanks to most of the hospital staff. I would never go to Hillcrest Medical Center again nor would I allow my family members to use Hillcrest & tell everyone if you want to live go to a hospital that cares & I know from experience the majority at Hillcrest don't care.

It's not Hillcrest. It is KILLCREST!!! Do not go there! They attempted to cause a loved ones death by negligence. He was a liability to the surgeons and doctors there. Caused unnecessary pain for several years. Go to a different hospital in the area. They do not care about the patient at KILLCREST.

I gave birth to my first child on February 16th. My labor was just over 24 hours long...and let me just say the nurses and Doctors at this hospital were wonderful. They were kind and caring, and explained EVERYTHING they did which was awesome. I couldn't have been happier. I actually cried when I was a little drugged up during the ordeal because of how nice everyone was...but I waited until they left the room. Lol. Even the post birth care we received was wonderful. I wish I knew the nurses names that helped me every day...but Dr. Rodriguez....I love you. Thanks for making this easy for me guys. Every single staff member I came into contact with at this hospital was so sweet. A+++ you guys super rock. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much!! Best labor and delivery department ever. EVER.

A year ago I was in their orthopedic surgery cente...

A year ago I was in their orthopedic surgery center to have a rod put in my broken leg. It was probably the WORST experience I have ever had in a hospital.

After surgery I was kept in a HALLWAY until I awoke, with no one monitoring me. At first I was unable to speak to convey how much pain I was in, but it took until I was able to work up enough strength to cry and SCREAM before someone even came by to check me.

They were ill equipped to cushion my leg for the three days I was in the hospital after my surgery, and I was only given flimsy hospital pillows that my husband and I had to stack in creative ways just to keep my leg elevated. The nurses were rude, and kept me waiting sometimes up to an hour or two after longer than they were supposed to in blinding pain before one of them would come in and finally give me my pain medication. None of them checked on me unless I buzzed them. The doctor never once came in to see me after my surgery, and since he left no notes as to my care after the surgery, I was forced to leave to go home with the same dirty gauze from my surgery still on my wounds.

The hospital seemed to have no regular care equipment for people forced to stay in bed. Instead of a bed pan I had to use the hats they put in toilets for people with gallstones, which were flimsy and unable to take any weight, so I wound up constantly soaked in urine. And the food was nearly inedible. My husband and I were forced one night to order a pizza, just so we wouldn't starve.

The only good thing I have to say about this place is that the orderlies (or medical technicians, or whatever) were incredibly nice and friendly. They checked on me regularly, and helped me try to clean myself as much as they could. I don't think they receive half the respect they deserve (or half the pay).

If you can avoid going to this hospital, you should. Try to find a place where you'll actually be treated with the decency that you deserve.

There is no privacy at Hillcrest main hospital if your admitted to a floor no private rooms they will discuss your healthcare information in front of your roommate total violation of HIPPA. Stay with your elders cause they might not get changed or fed breakfast if they need help, not happy at all nursing was pretty much awesome. THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT IS NOT CONDUCIVE FOR HEALING!!!!! The door was 2 feet from my bed the narrow walkway is a fall hazard for anyone to squeeze between the curtains you may not see the light of day if your not lucky enough to get a bed by a window and don t have surgery on a Friday because no one on the weekend will know what to do with you. I m in the medical field and this is not a good healthy environment for healing both PHYSICALLY and PSYCHOLOGICALLY
