Had surgery on Friday released on Saturday can't say I was very impressed with hospital but short stay. Went back Saturday PM to emergency room having trouble breathing. The emergency room was dirty & no privacy while changing into gown for xray which took quite a while since they said I was dehydrated. Admitted with pnemonia in one lung the other lung partially collapsed. Put me on the heart ward. Since Dr Warlick didn't believe I had pnemonia he said I didn't need breathing treatments & my family & I thru a fit & got breathing treatments. Ended up with 3 surgeries in 4 days, had to be put in a coma & on life support. Still being given atibiotics for pnemonia but breathing treatments were up to me. The nurses on most part were very uncaring not even bothering to contact the dr when I couldn't breathe which was due to complications from my neck surgery. I did finally get a nurse I think named Mary Jane in the step down after my second surgery, that actually cared & tried very hard to contact dr Wilson when her shift started & she saw the distress I was in. .As soon as he arrived he took me directly to surgery.Ended up with 3 surgeries in 4 days, had to be put in a coma & on life support. I survived thanks to a very skilled surgeon but no thanks to most of the hospital staff. I would never go to Hillcrest Medical Center again nor would I allow my family members to use Hillcrest & tell everyone if you want to live go to a hospital that cares & I know from experience the majority at Hillcrest don't care.
