What a disappointing experience. I ordered a fairly large family meal along with several sides for pick up. So, when I pulled in and parked in the curbside parking space, I called the number reflected on the sign. The hostess who answered suggested that I could either go inside or they could bring the order out to me. I figured they were too busy to provide curbside- and agreed to collect it myself. Inside, when I greeted the hostess and explained that I wished to pick up an order, instead of collecting it for me, she instructed me to go to the bar and ask for it there. At the bar, I provided my name and requested my order. The barman handed me an oversized bag and I left. I was about a 10-15 minute drive away from the restaurant when I received their call informing me that they had only given me half of my order. The lady apologized and offered a pie for the inconvenience. I had no choice, but to turn around and head back to the town because half of the order would not have fed the entire family. What an inconvenience. My daughter was arriving home from the hospital with our new addition and we wanted to help make the first night back in her home a quiet and easy transition. I didn't bother to call when I arrived the second time and just donned my mask and walked inside, provided my name and requested to pick up the remainder of my order. A server approached, apologizing and added that instead of the one piece of pie, 'since it was kind of small,' she included a second piece. I had no words at that point, except, "Thank you." I purchased a family meal. Two pieces of pie does not serve an entire family. I didn't have time to request more pie for purchase. My planned visit was ending that evening. I had to get back to my own home and business, a 200+ mile drive ahead of me- following dinner. When I finally arrived back to my daughter's place, none of the food was hot. Everything needed reheated in the oven. By the way, I paid a 15% gratuity for terrible service. They dropped the ball at every opportunity. To end on a nice note, the food was not bad.

Far below the standard I have known!!!

I have grown up in the valley and always enjoyed The Hickory Grill, but my experience last night was far out of my memories of this restaurant. My mom and I were coming this morning: the salads we ordered as part of our dinner were not as fresh or well presented and her entree looked as though it had sat in the kitchen a bit before it came out. I ordered off menu, Zing chicken, which used to be on the menu once a long time ago and the kitchen has always retained a knowledge of it, but what came to the table was a pale imitation. Our waitress, while charming and helpful, seemed exhausted, which is always a bad look. We were sadly underwhelmed and as things begin to reopen will likely avoid Hickory Grill for the other options around the valley.

New York style pretzels were awesome. My kids really loved their meals. I had the Filet Mignon. It was a tad overseasoned for my taste, but still very tender with a good taste. Great Atmosphere.

I've been to Hickory Bar and Grille 3 times now and it is a very excellent place to eat.

The staff are very friendly and attentive.
There is a good atmosphere.
The menu has good classics but has unique items as well. The french onion soup is delicious and same goes for the chips and french onion dip.
Dessert has always been a hit everytime I have been here.
A very good place for date nights and for larger parties.
I am not a drinker, but the drinks I have seen others get look very nice.

Overall a great place to go if you are looking for somewhere nice to eat.

So on Easter me and my family went here for our dinner. There were 3bpeople who ordered their fish sandwich. The first time it was brought out, the fish was not cooked fully. Yes they were bug pieces, but it wasn't just that. So waitress asked if they wanted them redone and so all 3 got a second one. Well yet again, it was the same thing. However...it was not only that they weren't cooked correctly but also that the fish itself was bad. They were serving fish that went bad like it was in a higher temperature than it was supposed to be or it was just starting to go rancid from being kept too long. I will never go back here again.

Had a steak on a croissant with mushrooms and onions and a side of broccoli. For dessert had the raspberry cake. And the Blackberry tea. Be sure to tell them how sweet you want the tea. Been there quite a few times excellent food.

I had to drop it by a star because the presentation of the food is just not what it was... the use of bamboo disposable plates because they don t have people to wash dishes made the dining experience less than it should be. The management needs to realize that they need to give the customers a great dining experience. I could have had the same food at a fast food joint on paper plates...

Service was quick and friendly. Nice private booth and lots of room to practice social distancing. The waiter wasn t wearing his mask over his nose, which was a little concerning. I loved my rueben sandwich. The spinach dip was a little weird and tasted like pickles.
