The Hermitage Amsterdam is beautiful to visit. Every time there are other wonderful exhibitions. One really does its best to make the performances special. We like to come here. You can park close by in parking garage Stopera.

The building is absolutely beautiful and then neither the exhibitions. This one I went to for the Russian jewelry and clothing was beautiful. The rich stupid of the assocoures was beautiful. Go there because you miss something if you don't go.

The exhibition The Treasure Chamber visited on August 18, 2019. Wow! Very beautiful and also how you could admire everything from close by. Nice and clear information with the audio tour too! We will be back soon for the rest of the museum!

Beautiful museum, beautiful exhibitions. Don't forget to visit the outsider art museum. Much is told about the history of the building and the city. This way the pieces can be placed in context.

Very interesting, we really enjoyed the lighted tour of the paintings from the golden age. The Romanhoff exhibit was very informative and engaging.

One of the finest museums in Amsterdam. Portraits of the golden age exhibit is insanely well-planned and the audio tour is also quite detailed. The whole museum is itself quite big and might take half a day to observe paintings with just the audio tour content and skipping the other paintings. It's unique from other museums in the sense that it's more focused on the storytelling about Dutch history of 16th and 17th century through its paintings rather than talking about the artists of those paintings.

I was impressed by this museum which has been the European embassy of the St. Petersburg Hermitage Museum for 10 years now.
The exhibitions are really interesting, especially the temporary exhibition "Treasury!" which brings together and confronts very interesting works with a very judicious arrangement. The exhibition on Amsterdam is also very interesting, but the last exhibition is very special.
In my opinion, this is one of the best museums in Amsterdam, I recommend to visit it absolutely!

Great museum with a lot of Netherlands Golden age explaination. Should go with audio guide, the script was so much fun and interesting.

If you went to the Rijk Museum, especially if there is no exhibition you want to see, it is a museum that you don't need to come to. Like many museums in Amsterdam, this place is more like an exhibition space than a museum. Frankly, I don't like the behavior of the employees, but it may have come across to me. I wouldn't have come without my museum card.

Old Russian capital - the city of St. Petersburg is now one of the largest cities in Europe. This city was built by Tsar Peter the Great departure in 1703, after a stay of this one in Zaandam, Amsterdam and during his great trip in Western Europe (called Great Embassy: 1697-1698). The original name of the city was Sankt Petersburg. Known also as Petrograd and later for years as Leningrad, the city now bears its original name in Dutch. But the most Dutch element is not only its name but also the fact that St. Petersburg was built with the help of the Dutch. The area chosen by Tsar Peter for his foundation, was muddy and full of swamps.

Contacts between Amsterdam and St. Petersburg continue to the present, and since February 2004, the famous State Museum of St. Petersburg - the Hermitage, has one of its dependencies in Amsterdam (the other are in London and Las Vegas).

It's genius !!! It is necessary to use the audioguide in French. Yet I am far from being an expert in painting, but that she geniuses this Van Gogh with the use of light. Although not a great history buff, the museum has a beautiful garden with coffee and inside is very well organized. With iamsterdam card we have access to the 3 routes.

The exhibition looked good but was unable to enjoy it. It was much too busy and the corona rules were not enforced. Nobody from Hermitage supervised this. I reported it to reception and left the exhibition early.

Lovely and interesting museum. Quite quiet and lots to see. There is a fab garden to have a rest after seeing the exhibits.

We have visited the exhibition about the Golden Age. This was hung on four high-ranking people from that time. They went deeper into their origins and activities on the basis of the many paintings. This gave you a better insight into the life of that time. The audiovisual tour was well organized and the audio tour of Hans Aarssen hilarious. Really recommended.

You have to reserve a wheelchair we did not know so there was no wheelchair anymore so I got a walker from the time of Catharina the size did not run well and at a certain moment I am sitting on the walker and used as a wheelchair but it did hurt not nice but had no other choice walking was too painful and wheelchairs were no longer there and moreover very tight could not walk well with the walker everyone got in the way and therefore could not see everything well and reading was a tiring trip and so also less attention and concentration to view everything properly

Wonderful museum, well organized, spacious with beautiful space inside - garden with coffee and grass - and full of art in the form of jewelry, accessories and clothes. Russian style in design. It is worth visiting, for the location and the exhibitions.

One of the most beautiful museums in the Netherlands. Beautiful exhibitions, but like many museums, the building alone is worth it. The simplicity of the form and therefore the clear spatial overview, makes every exhibition stand out beautifully. Further compliments to the organizers of the exhibitions. We have already visited regularly and hope to come often.

Still a nice museum with a beautiful inner garden. I was here for the Jewelery exhibition; very worthwhile, but very busy in the first areas, a lot of hustle and bustle at the display cases.

Maybe not as well known as Rijksmuseum or Van Gogh museum. But very worth wile visiting. The best of the Hermitage of St Petersburg in Amsterdam. Great exhibitions and a lovely restaurant. Also the garden in summer is great to have a coffee or lunch. An oasis in the centre of Amsterdam.
