I love the Holland very much only dream is to live in Holland and I'm still trying to achieve that dream
The Hermitage has a great collection of art. The expositions are placed in nice, spacious halls with great lighting. The building itself is a beautiful place close to the city center. The only downside are the high prices for a ticket and in the restaurant.
great exhibition Dutch Masters from Russia.
Nice museum, entrance is difficult to find. Needs improvement.
Difficult to review as exhibitions change all the time. Most of are very high quality though and very interesting. Unique chances to see pieces of the St. Petersburg Hermitage closer to home. The building itself and the permanent but small exhibition about it, are very worthwhile too. Entrance is quite expensive though, sometimes with add-on for certain exhibitions. Free entrance with Dutch museumcard (still have to pay the add-on though). No easy free parking around. Easiest is to park on the side of Amsterdam, take the metro and get out at Waterlooplein. Depending on your exit, it's a 1-5 minute walk from there.
Very interesting and with really special works .. is seen in an hour.
Visited the exhibition with paintings from the Hermitage St Petersburg. Top exhibition.
With the museum annual card, there are currently free (small exhibitions) up to 2.5 euros and 10 euros (a little expensive) for the price difference. You can push the dolly into the ticket entrance around the square walkway.
+ Beautiful rooms and building itself
+ Many diverse objects and paintings
+ Beautifully exhibited (360 degrees visible)
+ very good audio tour
surcharge of 2.50 with museum card
- it looks like a maze
Nice museum with beautiful paintings and beautiful exhibitions.
Cool museum - they don't have a permanent collection, but different temporary ones based on the collection of the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg. These exhibits are usually pretty spectacular.
Big minus: the 15 entrance fee. ;) Museumjaarkaart/ICOM for free, though.
Very nice building with changing exhibitions. Highly recommended is the outsider art exhibitions with Finnish artists !!!
Two very interesting temporary exhibitions, very well executed. Free audio tours with extensive information. Allow plenty of time
I thought the Jewelery exhibition was beautiful.
Troubled enormously at the exhibition that was placed in a hall with very sexist forms, paintings ect.
Very unappetizing and not appropriate in a museum that is familiar with precious treasures.
Maybe I am narrow-minded .......
The Amsterdam annex of the great Heritage of St. Petersburg. The permanent exhibition is a loan of the Amsterdam Museum, while the temporary exhibitions display masterpieces from the main collection of the Heritage.
Chic museum. Beautiful property. Large museum shop with nice gifts.
Present at jubilee exhibition with delicious exclusive snacks.
Beautiful exhibition.
Unfortunately it is always very cold! ... unpleasant
We visited the modern art exhibition for a while, which was nice but a bit unexciting.
Nice museum especially if there is a nice exhibition such as the jewels of the Russian czars
A very large and interesting museum, especially if you are still in school. You learn a lot, only there are quite few seats to rest for a while.
During the corona crisis, a walking route has been laid out, but that does not spoil the fun. Again, great fun museum to learn a little bit of history.
Wonderful exhibition and lunch. Unfortunately a lot of visitors did not keep the 1.5 mtr distance and the supposts did nothing to correct them.
Wonderful museum! Too bad that you always have to pay extra with the museum annual pass. But exhibitions are beautiful. Climate Control inside is also a thing.
Beautiful exhibition that has since returned to Saint Petersburg
Expensive at 30 euro but nice inside. Best with free ticket from bankgiroloterij
Nice but too crowded. And even with the "Museum jaarkaart" you have to pay an entrance fee. We visited the "Romanovs & Revolutie" exhibition. They told everything in a nice way. But there were mainly big photos to see, and not much objects. I wasn't very impressed, I saw better exhibitions here.
Amazing experience. Beautiful exhibition of the Dutch masters. Very worthwhile.
The garden behind the Hermitage is also nice. Have a drink and freely accessible.
What a wonderful exhibition on the diamonds of the Russian court.
Nicely put together and nice that the visitors are regulated in this way. Absolutely great
Museum very very well organized with surprising animations! I recommend to any tourist coming to Amsterdam
Very nice museum, both in terms of building and collection. The specific exhibitions are definitely worth it.
Excellent exhibition of Dutch old master paintings !!
This carefully curated and thoughtfully narrated collection is mindboggling. Make sure to visit the portrait section of the Amsterdam narrative too. Beautiful location, excellent restaurant.
Wonder Museum. Great collection. Fantastic location.
I was here for work-related matters but it was very nice, making a small free trip during the work!
There are no exposition. Some labyrinths of corridors and a dark hall with a projection of portraits of the 18th century.
Great exterior and building at first glance, actual exhibition (besides the specials) is dull. So be sure to always go to those special exhibitions too or you will be walking out quickly. Compared to the Rijksmuseum definitely overpriced.
beautiful exhibition on jewelry and clothing at the Russian court
The museum Catherine Exhibit is a great way to explain Amsterdam's golden age.
I had hoped to visit the new exposition, but my GF wanted to see the paintings . We got a bit sleepy from the darkness that is necessary to protect the paintings. Nice to hear some history about Amsterdam.
Very good compilation of the current exhibition about jewelry and costumes of the former ruling class in Russia. Worth seeing
Nice collection. Too bad you have to pay extra if you have a museum annual pass
Super museum with the most beautiful paintings in temporary exhibitions. And you can also dine at a high level here. What a bonus.
The Catherine the Great exhibition currently in this museum is simply wonderful, and the audio tour adds a whole new level of intrigue and humour to the experience.
Not bad. Although there are areas where it becomes boring.
Superb museum and very good displays. The Audio offering is also very good
There's few museum's there, and the entrance may be tricky to find..
They have a beautiful courtyard with beautiful old chestnut trees
Nice museum and nice coffee shop
Plus museum shop
The building and the decoration are wonderfull! Outside, we can see a nice drawbridge.
Beautiful exhibition in beautiful building.
Clear. Was busy, but what do you want with those Dutch masters from Russia.
Nice collection especially the Rembrandts, the accompanying audio is good.
Ok. Nothing special. But exhibition of Ecaterina was very interesting.
A treasure trove of cultural gems intelligently displayed with the addition of site maps where the artifacts were discovered. Loved every room.
Fantastic! Great exhibition and despite the crowds, everything was easily accessible and approachable.
Beautiful museum where I like to come. Right in the heart of Amsterdam. There are permanent and changing exhibitions. There are also guided tours for children. Well worth a visit.
Rembrandt exhibition impressive disappointed that other exhibitions could not be accessed. Most impressive building
A super nice exhibition about the Russian Czar family. However, when you think back to the time when this overkill of jewelry was used by the rich and the nationals died of hunger, it is a bit sobering to see all those expensive jewelry
Nice museum in a very old but beautifully restored building. Exhibition about jewels from the czar family was fascinating and beautifully arranged. Good information and everything was clearly visible.
