Very nice museum with a changing exhibition. Really like how they can transform the entire exhibition in a few days. The pictures are from the exhibition Oude meesters . Staff is very nice and helpful. Checkout the giftshop. The restaurant is a bit exclusive in pricing and in food. Enjoyed a coffee just outside the museum.

Excellent museum and less touristy than the other ones. Do check beforehand what is showing though as it can make a huge difference on how enjoyable it is for you. Bonus: really nice courtyard.

If you would like to see less touristic museum where the interior and whole building just beautiful and amazing with unique atmosphere this is the place !
If you look back for the history of this building and today face with permanent exhibition it s definitely a place to spend some hours! Good coffee and food with drink are available on second floor! I make always time for my self to chill in this great museum side by Amstel river.

The museum is beautiful and the Finnish showroom is great

Nice museum with regularly nice exhibition. When the duration of an exhibition ends, it can be very busy. It is therefore better to go on time and not to wait until the last day. Shame about the surcharge on the museum's annual ticket at exhibitions. You also cannot change exhibitions with your admission ticket.

Really amazing museum, hosts many many paintings and valuable stuff. It also showed the connection between Russia and Netherlands. Definitely one of the must-go museums in Amsterdam.

Very well done exhibits, recommend picking up the free audio guide which provide a lot of information.

The exhibition Classic Beauties is very beautiful, only quite small. I was through it for half an hour. I would have liked to use the audio tour but could not find out how I could get it ... It's nice that so much extra information is given around the paintings. It is a pity that for every exhibition a surcharge must be paid with the Museum Card.

The exhibitions are very varied in offer and very attractive to see.

Beautiful, highly recommended. Went to the exhibition about Russian crown jewels. Beautiful exhibition and nice audio tour. Friendly staff and wardrobe as well as plumbing are neat and super well organized. Restaurant upstairs is pricey but great menu.

One of the most beautiful museums in the Netherlands. Powerful exhibitions in a fairytale environment, allowing you to relive the atmosphere of the Tsars.

The exhibitions and places to visit in the museum are very poorly marked and it is really difficult to know where to go! Especially as some rooms had a foul smell and breathe (including access to the old kitchen via a video room). Given the size of the museum I really expected a lot more things to see. To improve!

Visited this museum for the first time. The museum is nicely decorated in this former 'old women's home'. There are a lot of interesting things to see. But if you've seen the 'real' Hermitage in St. Petersburg, it's just a 'weak extract'. It is striking that it does show various forms of art and, moreover, those art objects are often shown in pairs of comparable subjects from different movements and / or times. That makes it very special and a lot more interesting.

I was in Hermitage for a conference. As a result, I cannot judge the museum. The convention and the facilities were good. The only drawback was the public address system that can be heard in the conference room.

Beautiful, atmospheric museum, which regularly organizes beautiful exhibitions. Went to the Dutch Masters exhibition twice this year and would like to see it again. Restaurant is also fine! Also the take away part!

It is nice that the museums are open again. But the way the jewelry exhibition is set up is too impractical for me. You only have to have someone in front of you who wants to listen to the audio quietly and a queue of waiting people forms, who also do not have the opportunity to go to the exit.

Nice place in Amsterdam. The hospitality industry could be better. This was disappointing when I was there with my daughter. Not busy and still struggling with the orders.

We stayed at this lovely hotel during our weekend in Amsterdam and we loved it. Serviable staff, more than fair price, clean and tidy room ... Free cafeteria service, functional TV ... In addition it is well located not far from the center ... In short that happiness, a real favorite :)

It is very good museum. Typically have very nice topics for exhibitions and the exhibitions usually have great settings. However the information provided usually is very limited and not very useful.

Hermitage is a top museum. Beautiful and stylish building. Nice collection. Whatever the exhibition, it's always class!

Nice building with nice pieces with clear descriptions. The layout of the museum as a whole is not so clear. For the continuation of the Golden Age I searched on the same floor, but there are other things. It continued on the next floor. What few lockers. I was lucky that someone just left an empty locker, otherwise I could not have lost my backpack at the entrance.

Would score 5 stars if not for the expensive entrance ticket. If you're going for a special exhibtion, get a "Hermitage all-in" ticket so you can also go into "Hollanders of the Golden Age" - their permanent exhibtion which is a real treat. Beautifully uses Art to illustrate life in those times in the Netherlands. The museum has a comfortable cafe and restaurant on the first floor, so make a day of it.

Unique museum. Exhibitions are very well organized. Nice mix between heritage and new techniques. Become a friend because I have a warm heart for this museum. This is possible from 50 euros per year.

We went specifically to the new 'treasure chest' exposition that is available till september 2019.

The expositions was about the best treasures of the Russian Hermitage. Unfortunately, the exposition is sparce and and the discription even with the audiotour is not very indepth. Usually you get foreign art depicted with Russian made art and how it influenced each other.

The art doesn't feel unique or that impressive which is a shame. An example: Catharina made a cabinet with secret compartment and nifty mechanisms, unfortunately nothing of it is shown and only mentioned that the statue of Catharina's favourite dog on the cabinet was actually a special button.

Thelatte we had was very bitter and watery and it was very surprisingly bad. It didn't pass the foam spoon test either.

So overall not a good experience and it might be better to see more interesting museums like the rijksmuseum.

Interesting museum, beautiful exhibitions, beautiful building with beautiful courtyard. The exhibition Finnish art is very special and the Classic beauties are unparalleled. Too bad the restaurant was being renovated. Recommended!

A real surprise and a calm oasis amongst the excesses of Amsterdam.

Beautiful building, fascinating exhibitions, nice location, good restaurant "Neva". It can be busy, but as a friend of the museum you will never be bothered. Please come there.

A very beautiful exhibition in a beautiful building.

Outstanding museum, bright modern entrance with welcoming and enticing feeling from the moment you step inside. Fully disabled friendly, with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Excellent toilet facilities and a super selection of catering facilities, to fit every requirement from a quick snack to a full lunch or dinner. Not at all over priced for a museum of this standing. This has to be a museum that just has to be on your " must visit " list when visiting Amsterdam.

Good exhibition from Dutch masters, although the price is excessive for the size of the exhibition.
