We had a wonderful experience here. The employees were extremely helpful, they had an artistic perspective and they handled our short timeline with a great deal of urgency. We will definitely be back for future projects.

Every experience I have at Discount Tile reminds me of why I will pay a bit more to avoid the big box stores. The selection is wonderful and just as good as some of the fancy-pants places in town (and the service is absolutely the best). The owners obviously hand-pick amazing staff members (like my girl Missy) and they themselves are the kindest folks you ll meet. You ll leave feeling like you can t wait to see your buddies the next time you go. And I m in the remodeling business, so I actually DO get to see them again! I wish every supplier and subcontractor I work with could be this awesome. Love these guys so much.
Had a great experience working with Mindy. She was patient and gave very good suggestions for the tile and installation. Our fireplace is now the real centerpiece of the room.

Nothing beats their showroom or selection. Their staff was great. Their delivery/pick up area guys were cool and a pleasure to work with. No other place around here (Puget Sound) remotely competes...
Nice selection of tile. Much better than the big box stores! Lots of price ranges. Great customer service and designer help. They do so install, but have a list of contractors that can help.
My first impression of this place was good. The people are nice and the location was good, however after spending a good deal of money on tiles, vanities, and countertops - I was really disappointed with how things turned out. First they tried to have me come pick up a vanity that was clearly damaged - then when my tiles arrived I had them installed and afterwards noticed that they were clearly a different color then the ones I had picked out from the sample. (life goes on right) ... now weeks later the countertops arrive and are installed - and guess what - the counter tops are clearly a very different shade then the sample again, throwing off the whole color design we picked out with them in the store and unfortunately making the room not look nearly as attractive... Lesson Learned
This business is no longer open announced business hours. They have changed the hours but didn't bother to change hours online or provide new hours as a voice message. Not nice making people drive to closed doors.
They seem all to eager too get your business in the beginning, but we've now been waiting over a week just for a tile sample and we're told it would only take 3 days to get there. Then when I called after 5 days, I was told they couldn't even find the order for the sample but they'd call me back immediately. Now over a week later, I can't even get them to answer the phone. So yeah, typical shady contractors it seems. If you can find a contractor with good customer service, hold onto them. This is not one of those contractors.
They had a really really nice selection, and a lot of stuff that you won't find at the box stores. I recommend anyone looking for the truly custom look of Their Own to give them a shot.
Best selection of modern tile in Seattle area. I went to many different tile stores and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for at prices I could afford. After visiting the appliance store up the street, I just happened to drive by Discount Tile Outlet. I found what I was looking for.
Staff was helpful, courteous, and had a good eye for design. Prices were good too.
Don t waste your time.. just come here. They will take care of you. They know tiles and most importantly they have very very good taste and help you pick the right tiles for your project.
Great selection of beautiful tile, coupled with excellent service from Laird and company. We received so much help and advice on all aspects of our DIY bathroom project. When we chipped our last piece of tile to finish the bathroom, Laird got creative and and found a way to get us that one last piece replaced quickly, and just in time for houseguests! We have had the pleasure of working with the good folks at Discount Tile Outlet in designing bathrooms for our new home. We appreciate the complete showroom and vast variety of samples, but what we benefited from most is their skill and passion for design. We had a rough idea of what we wanted, and that quickly evolved into well-coordinated and beautiful showpieces with subtle nuances that are as practical and utilitarian as they are inviting. As someone mentioned in another review, the design process included value engineering, which means balancing nice focal points with economic choices elsewhere. We came in feeling the burden of having to live with what we selected, and left feeling great relief, with anticipation of enjoying the beautifully designed bathrooms as they come to life. UPDATE:
At the end of my project I found I was still short of 3 pieces of backsplash. This one is the one they sent me wrongly last time. After several days' wait, they told me the 3 pieces arrived. And I was astonished that they sent the SAME WRONG THING AGAIN. The reason is that the original order was wrong and the second order just copied the original one. Then after another several days' waiting, I called them to ask if my stuff arrived and they asked, did you order xxx (the name of the wrong tile)? What? Now I am still waiting for them to confirm if they shipped the correct stuff.
They also miss the promised shipping time EACH time. They never got a SINGLE on time shipping. When they say "your tiles will arrive Wednesday", expect at least Friday. Very unprofessional, very annoying. Now I change my 2 star rating to 1.

First, this place is far from "discount". Flat pebble shower floor is $17.25 per sqft and backsplashes often run for around $20. That is OK if you want to find better designed tiles than Homedepot and the quality, I'm no expert, I will say is solid, looks good.
Second, the staffs have good knowledge for the tiling job and they have a sense of designing. They are friendly and no hard sale.
The problem is, this "Premium tile outlet" doe not provide reliable shipping. I'm paying a lot more money for better products and service. They delayed my shipping for a week and shipped one item wrongly. When I called them they had a hard time finding what I bought. The process is a mess. My job plan was changed and wasted a lot of money on tool renting. I will say the money you spend is only partially paid back. Not worthy.
Great experience with Discount Tile - Bellevue. Jordan was so sweet and patient, no hard core sales pressure at all. Good and varied selection of tile from classic to modern. We finally selected our tile after three visits and 10 take home samples later. Jordan gave us a great price on our tile as well. We will definitely be back when the need arises! Everyone was so cheerful and funny too!
These guys are just wonderful. I was able to go in there and Blake did a fantastic job walking me through various designs and color schemes. He is very skilled. An hour later we had put together a beautiful kitchen scheme and I was very happy. Thanks again Blake!
I've been helping my sick mother remodel her kitchen. The folks at Discount Tile have really been sympathetic and gone out of their way to turn a difficult situation like this into one that really brought some joy into my mother's life. I really want to thank Laird for being there for my family and for being such a great guy. When he found out my mother condition he knocked 70% off my order! You just don't find that kind of kindness in a business owner anymore.
I live in Southern California and am used to things being more modern looking. I went to that big one up here called Tiles for Less and some other one. They were really rude and they are really behind the times. Discount Tile Outlet is THE BEST for the Seattle and Bellevue area. I was kinda shocked actually at how rude and inattentive the sales people were at those other places. In business, you guys should try being professional and listen to the customers needs before you start RAMMING your "HOT pro-mo"!!! down my throat. Maybe instead of all of your sales pressure tactics you guys should take the time to actually clean your show room. I don't know what's older at Tiles for Less... Their Logo, Style, or the dirt and grime that proliferates their entire show room. As you can read my experience was NOT a pleasant one there.
Discount Tile Outlet was more my speed and more of the quality I'm used to in Cali. As a Mortgage Broker I work with many contractors, realtors, and companies that are directly involved with the process of buying a home.
Frankly, the only equal or better place I've ever been in (and I have been in many tile companies) is a place called Mission Tile West in So Cal. That is where the people that have money and are style conscious go. The one in South Pasadena is great, however considered to be the best in the country is their location in Costa Mesa. We are talking very high-end stuff there.
I was surprised by DTO's quality. You don't really expect that up here in Seattle. I'm not trying to be snobby or pretentious. Its just a little behind up here. Hey... Not in everything, Your coffee is 100 TIMES better! DTO's showroom was modern and I wasn't attacked by lousy sales people. They actually have a bunch of cute girls that are stylist and designers at Discount Tile Outlet. Not some washed out sales bum reeking of cigarette smoke who watched Glengarry Glen Ross the night before and recited, "ABC, Always Be Closing"... In the mirror 30 times that morning. I hope that sales person at their Seattle location sees this. I close MILLION DOLLAR HOMES weekly in La Jolla and the Greater San Diego area . You thought you could high pressure me bud? There is a difference in sales skill and then trying to actually assumptive close me aggressively. This is tile. Something you obviously have not worked with for a while. A home owner needs options and needs to have more input than yapping about savings. That's what Discount Tile Outlet has and you "professionals" never will.

Sold us way more than we needed. We told them sq ft but ended up with 2x more than we needed. They took it back but the refund was not as much as they had charged and was a hassle to take back. The tiles look great.
All they do is tile and grout, and they really really do know their stuff. Start your search here. They won't have the exact right thing for every person, but if you are one of the people they have the right thing for, you'll be very glad you got it here. Personally, i checked here, and the big home improvement chains. The reason I finally scored here is that in working with one of the sales people, I was describing my vision and pointing out things that were close, but not quite right. And they would show me other things they could get but weren't on display. You dont get that at Home Depot or Lowe's. The service and knowledge is the difference maker.
Wow! The help and design ideas I got here were absolutely FABULOUS! They are GREAT to work with and know what they are talking about! They have materials for every budget, and can show you how to mix very high end materials with more budget friendly materials to give your project a real pop. We are LOVING what we chose, and want to thank Discount Tile for their help! They are really, truly AWESOME!!
