Henry Medical Center Review

I've been here for 4 hours and still haven't seen a doctor...came in with severe chest pain...don't come to this hospital!!! You'll die just waiting...walked out!!!

This hospital is terrible. I regret having our son born here. After 8:30pm they make you enter through ER security. When I went to check in, they confused me with somebody else and denied me entry to see my newborn and my wife. They said (very loudly so everyone could hear) that it was because of a history of domestic violence. When I objected and said they were wrong, it got the attention of the police officer in the room. I called my wife and had her straighten it out. So security called the floor again and they realized they had mistaken me for someone else. It was utterly humiliating. To think that I was about to be falsely arrested and removed from the hospital was incredibly humiliating. This upset my wife (new mother) so much that she cried herself to sleep. I am beyond furious and I am going to speak with my attorney on Monday to see what sort of recourse there is.

This is the worse ER in the world! They are rude and condescending. They don t answer questions or address concerns. Do not come here and expect good service or any bedside manners.

DO NOT come to this hospital. They're rude. I had a really bad infection and my stomach was hurting me soooo bad! It was NO WHERE to sit and I was hurting so bad that I was crying. I sat in a seat infront of the desk and a black lady rudley said " YOU CANT SIT HERE!! " yelled and all. I had to stand until this young man gave me his seat. Later that morning. ( I came in at 8pm to let you all know) this nurse was rushing so fast he stabbed me to take blood! Then I had to go back out to sit in the waiting room. I left the waiting room 2 times thinking I was going to see a doctor. I sat in that waiting room for 5 hours. ( 8pm to remind yall the time I came in. ) Finally, I seen a doctor. He told me to go pee in a cup. I did so, he felt my stomach. They gave me some pill ( yes it did ease off my pain. BUT THAT WASNT A CURE TO MY PROBLEM! ) Later they said they see NOTHING WRONG. They gave me a whole bunch of pills to take and it worked good but not to make me feel better. So 2weeks later, I got a bill from them. $2,485.68. Like what the f***? WHY?!?! I was still sick crying my eyes out. ( Remind you all, they said its NOTHING wrong with me ) my cousin told me about this health clinic called " Women Health Care" they were AWESOME! They were very nice and they cured my situation. I have NO problems now. BUT AGAIN, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS HOSPITAL, THEY DONT EVEN DESERVE THIS ONE STAR.

Every time we have ever come here it has been bad. The staff is too busy and frustrated to assist and you see people falling out with no one to tend to them. Almost like they would to see how long you can wait. Been here 14 hours and nothing. If you can find another hospital it may be worth the drive.

This is the worst emergency care facility I have ever seen. I brought my father in for chest pains, he couldn't move his left leg shortness of breathe and he passed out. We brought him here and before they even took his vitals they said oh he "looks OK" so he can wait in the waiting area!!!!! The nurse's were extremely rude and had nasty attitudes. Then the main nurse did nothing but hang out in the onsite sheriff's office. If I could have given them a negative star I would have. Beware go any where else but here!!!

The staff here is incredibly rude you ask a question they make faces and some even ignore you my best friend is in labor here I would never have my child here. Then to make matters worse a nurse from the OBED named Leigh wreaked of alcohol. Then the delivery nurse marissa rolled her eyes at something the patient requested something needs to be done about the staff here I completely understand the long hours can be exhausting but having compassion and remorse for patients is part of the job and the main fact is to be sure patients are comfortable and trusting while in your care. Just horrible I can t wait to get her out of here.

I took my mom here to the emergency room after she fell and hurt her foot and leg and they were wonderful. The total time in and out the door was just 2 hours, and everyone was polite and professional. It appears to be a new facility (I just moved here so I'm not familiar). It is also very clean. The only downside was the hospital food was bland, but not much is expected from hospital food

This place is the WORST!!! Got here at 10:00pm, it is now 3:13am and just now seeing a nurse! Me and my daughter BOTH needed to be seen my daughter (6 MONTHS) fever is over 100 & grown people with colds who came after us was seen BEFORE us ! After we came to the back we was asked was she already given medicine . Please go to another hospital , this is my SECOND time waiting for 5 hours+ last time it was 7! I still have not been seen by a doctor for myself!!!! People who came way after will be seen waaaay before you! , the doctors take hours before seeing you! , last time I brought my 1 year old she was only seen for 1 minute after waiting for several hours to be called to the back (with a fever over 100) (with a cough) (with a runny nose) (so bad she didn t want to walk) DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!

I took my son up there yesterday. He has asthma. He is 30. He was having chest pains. They gave him an EKG and an chest x-ray and sent him back to the waiting room. He sat for 3 hours and watched while people who came in after him went in to see a doctor. They hardly looked as sick as my son. I think they did it because he has no insurance. Non-Profit my behind. It's all about the money. Sorry

I have had numerous experiences with this hospital and I have yet to be impressed by anything. My grandparents have been in for many different reasons, emergencies and the like. They were seen and are still alive today, BARELY. They have almost died in this hospital multiple times because of the lack of attention and care they needed desperately. Most of the nurses have absolutely no respect of human life and are quite rude on occasions. It took my whole family being there for my grandmother who had kidney failure to get her out alive because of the poor treatment. I had to be there personally 24/7 for my grandfathers treatment because when I wasn't, he was horribly mistreated. (No pillows when asked, no water, meds coming in late, etc.)As of now I have a friend suffering from cancerous tumors and he is being accused of being a drug addict and almost refused treatment by one doctor who recommended they discharge him and let him die. Upon further arguments, my friend is now getting emergency treatment and another doctor was sent in to apologize for the previous doctors horrible words and treatment options. Regardless of the days these people were having or the lack of proper pay, they should learn to better treat their patients. I understand times are tough but this is just ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend this hospital for anyone who wants to continue a happy, healthy life. They make their money out of convenient placement. NOT the service.

Husband sent here from Kaiser in awful pain to do a CT scan. It was done at 2 pain rating a 12. He still sitting in the hallway at 4:25 a.m. Waiting for a room. We r looking directly at an empty room that's been dirty for about two hours. Again he's in pain and possibly bleeding on the brain.
Come on people!!!!!

Brought 3mo son in at roughly 1am, was told since he is an infant they would take him back ASAP- my son is having trouble breathing...well, here we are at 4am and haven't seen anyone. Even when I had my son here no one really cares to explain things to you. Hate this place

They took very good care of my daughter and we were not in there long. Also the facility was very clean.

Practicing nurses don't know what they are doing. I hate this place. Was sent home and in worse shape than before.

After waiting 8 hours in the emergency room WAITING ROOM, we were finally called back. He had continued to decline our entire time there, slowly becoming paralyzed. The front desk was not concerned and refused to send anyone to do vitals on him again during this period of time. He was dismissed with anxiety even though he was showing signs of much worse. When he stood up to walk, he collapsed in the hall like he done many times that day. They finally took notice when he was face down in the hallway after they dismissed him. He was finally given more tests and diagnosed with Rare neuro Syndrome which left him paralyzed and on life support most of the summer. Our stay in was miserable and we were there a month. I had to stay with him or he would not be taken care of. At one point he was left with a bed sore due to not being able to find a nurse for 2 hours one night and needing tending to. And the neuro floor, the nurses cannot be bothered. I still have pictures of the sharps left out for hours on a counter because she was to lazy to throw them away. When doing the transfer to his rehabilitation center, the patient representative was so incompetent, he should have gone 2 days earlier but it became up to the family to figure out his medication and transfer, which was her job. Due to her extreme incompetence and unprofessional attitude and wanting to be gone at 5 pm instead of taking care of patients after a staff meeting, I began making phone calls and getting things done. Well she did not like this. And began to not answer calls regarding the patient due to the family asking questions. I realize now this was not only unprofessional but bad patient care because when he was at Piedmont newnan? (The second time he was admitted that summer.) It did not happen that way. Patient care came first. And if that meant you stayed after 5 so the transfer happened, so be it.) Ironically we ran into a few great doctors and nurses that traveled to Piedmont newnan that he had at Henry as well. This is a staff problem there. The doctors are not bad, but you can t get to them like you should be able to. And once you leave icu? Your care is over. You have to stay with your loved one or they will not be taken care of. If you have a loved one who needs serious care, demand they be transferred elsewhere. Skip this ER. Go somewhere else.

***This wasn t my first experience with this er desk staff in the er either. We have waited many hours in this er before. Once with me bleeding from the head from a seizure. They just do not care. I m currently fighting a $7000 overcharge due them not filing my insurance correctly. This entire hospital needs a major over haul.

They do what they can, very friendly folks. They have a difficult job, many different situations, but i put my trust in them. They listen. Thank you to the entire ER staff down to the janitor.

I went to the ER on last Friday, and I have been shaking my head every since. I have had better service at a FREE clinic. My pressure was 221/112 or 117 and they discharged me with a pressure of 198/107 which should never have happened. I should have been observed until my pressure was managed. No labs were taken even though I told them I was urinating more frequently. The worst of all is that the doctor stood in the door to address me...he NEVER touched me or came close to the bed as if I was disease. My pressure was at stroke level and he never listened to my heart or anything else on my person. How could he with no stethoscope and standing in the door. He came rattling up what they were going to do with out accessing my concerns....and even though I had a back injury I had to walk to get xrays...I pray that I never have to return to this place ever again. They give a new meaning to HEALTH CARE. I gave them one star only because I had to in order to post.

For a hospital, I was incredibly surprised by their lack of concern and their total abhorrence of performing any labwork, bloodwork, xrays, or anything past checking your vitals and listening to your chest to declare that even though you explained being exposed to dangerous amounts of black mold for a prolonged period of time, and are now experiencing chest pains and all kinds of other issues, that you must have a viral infection like strep and send you on your way without any real diagnosis or answers. Unfortunately I didn't feel like my concerns were taken seriously by the PA on duty, nor did I feel like they were concerned with my medical history, as they required no paperwork nor did they ask me at any time during my visit. Almost my entire visit was spent in the waiting room, with the doctor and nurse each spending less than 2 full minutes with me. What a waste of money my visit was.

My experience while there in the cardiovascular unit level D was probably one of the best medical care teams Ive seen. From the nurses to the cath lab all were caring and professional.

This place is the worst, I guess they send people here to die, get it together!

Hospitals are never fun. This one is OK. Could be better, but could also be worse.

PATIENT BEWARE!!! If you are examined by a doctor affiliated with Piedmont Henry Hospital, but at a different location - not at Piedmont Henry - you will still receive a separate bill from Piedmont Henry! My aunt had an appointment with her Radiologist - who is Piedmont Henry doctor. But the examination took place at a different hospital, in a different city & county. She received 2 bills! - one from the Radiologist and one from Piedmont Henry! Even though they didn't use that facility. As a matter of fact, she's never been to Piedmont Henry - doesn't even know where it is. The other hospital - never billed her!

I sat here from 11:48 at night till 6am for them to send me home knowing something is wrong & me having to come back not even 6 hours later because of the mal practice. & then yet again getting here @ 11:30pm still sitting here @ 4 am this is honestly the worst place to come. Also this place forgot to even put us in the system so we ve been sitting here waiting for another 4 hours waiting to get called to X-ray & I had to go ask them about us. & we weren t in the system.

Worst hospital. Staff is terrible. Waited 5 hours to get checked in and there was hardly anyone in the room! There were people throwing up and people who could barely breathe and the stuff is over in there little space, laughing and having a good time. Would rather die then come here again

I had an awesome experience with one of the diagnostic techs: Enoch Daughtery. He was very kind, professional ad thorough. I'm only giving him 5 stars because my experience with the ER doctor was adequate at best.

DO NOT bring loved ones or yourself heres if they are not in immediate danger or harm. You will have had enough time to go to an entirely diffrent care center, Unless you prefer suffering in a waiting room. Local is not always the better choice.

This place is horrible. They have no sense of urgency. Completely oblivious of time. A couple of minutes means at least an hour. It s sad that this is the closest hospital.

The very worst emergency room visit ever nothing good to say about this place what so ever and i have lived in Spalding county since 2001 they get 6 star's compared to Henry county glad i was not haven heart problems oh wait i was still am and i will never come back here would not give me a zero star option

I had a awesome experience. In and out in less than an hour. The staff was very attentive and listened to my concerns. Way to go and congratulations on the great customer service Piedmont Henry Hospital!!!

I had an ultrasound done there and the staff were so nice and kind. I find no fault with the hospital, it seems to be better since they merged with Piedmont

One star. The customer service is terrible!! This hospital bills patients for treatments they don t even receive. Please take your medical concerns elsewhere, Piedmont Henry Hospital is not the place for you.

I went to the ER after the urgent care doctor recommended I go since my blood pressure was running high. The wait wasn t too long, but the waiting room was full. While waiting I noticed there was no sense of urgency to get people treated and discharged. I finally get taken to the back and of course I explain what brought me in and pretty much I was told I didn t have a true emergency because I wasn t experiencing stroke like symptoms in addition to my elevated blood pressure. EVEN if that was the case between the nurse and nurse practitioner, Denise Barnes I really felt like they took me as a joke. The nurse specifically told me I was doing too much after I told her I was taking my blood pressure at home about every hour. Despite me telling them I had a migraine and vomiting the day before they pretty much told me to take an aspirin and follow-up with my PCP. From the triage nurse who said You re not going to stroke out or anything, to the nurse in the back who said I was doing too much, to the NP who said If you re not having a stroke this is not a true emergency their delivery and bed side manners were all wrong and unprofessional to say the least. I was highly disappointed by their responses and obviously I was there because I was concerned about my health. Maybe my BP wasn t the worse they ve seen, but certainly when I check it at home and it reads 157/107 and the urgent care doctor recommends I go to the ER if the bottom # stayed over 100 I don t expect as healthcare professionals you would act like I m not supposed to be there. I give them 1 star because the wait time was less than I expected.

Terrible hospital, rude staff, and very slow. My mother has been here for 8 hours and no updates on her condition. Overly crowded hospital and not a care in the world for their patients well being.

Horrific place to take someone ill. Person died there, donated an organ and it took an act of persistent calling and finally a visit by the Funeral Home Representative to track down a doctor to sign the Pronouncement of death papers and death certificate. But this is the real disgusting part of the entire fiasco, My niece's organ was donated on the 30th, of March. According to the hospital, she died on some documents on the 28th, 29th, and the 30th. Now just how does a dead person donate an organ on all of these days? I'm sorry this place should have remained Henry Medical Center. ( - one star}

I had a great experience. Had surgery on 9/17/2020. Dr Laxman Ramani and his team, did and excellent job. When I got to my room RN Jeffrey B, had awesome bed side manners (even asked if I wanted a female nurse) and very caring. Jeffrey was the day shift nurse and with me the entire hospital stay. He always made sure the area/room was safe under the Covid guidelines and made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable and recover well. I had different night nurses / tech's and they we're all very caring as well.

I just moved to the area& had medical emergency. I was driving& onstar tried to dispatch ambulance but seemed like it took forever so my daughter drove instead. This has to absolutely be the worst hospital I have been to in my last 15 years. I m in the military so I get to travel often& experience different medical services. If I felt I could have made it to another hospital I would. My entire body was numb, chest pain, blood pressure was 170/107, I waited at least 4hrs before being called. There was no sense of urgency. You probably could have passed out& died before being seen. When I say an urgent care clinic would have been better it would have been. If it would not have been in mid-morning I would not have came. This is absolutely the worst, no sense of urgency medical place I have been in my last 15years. I would give negative ten if I could.

Passed out at work and from the Emt to , now I m leaving the hospital, everyone was Awesome! Dr. Medina , nurses Benita, Mikey( Michael), registration, everyone really took care of me. Made me feel like I was in good hands. Kudos guys! I really appreciate you all!

This place is a joke. It has went down hill fast. I have a history of pulmonary embolism (Blood Clots in Lungs). I've been admitted into this hospital twice within a year for this issuse. Also delivered my baby here 5 WEEKS AGO which puts me at a greater risk of getting a PE. I went in last night with chest pain along with swelling in my hands and feet. Only to be left sitting for 6 HOURS. The only thing done was an EKG and blood work IN 6 HOURS. I end up leaving without getting treated. The doctor on call didnt even order the blood work to check to see if my blood was out of range. I was told I didnt need that done because of my history of pulmonary embolism .. That's strange I seem to have needed done the last TWO times I was there and admitted. DO NOT GO to this emergency room if u need immediate assistance because you will not receive it. Go somewhere else.

Had my baby via csection end of February & it was a good experience. All the nurses was very nice & caring. They was a big help with the baby and gave me a csection bassinet to make it easier to care for my son. Never had to wait on my meds etc..
Only thing I didn't like about my stay was the food wasn't good. Some of the meals was cold & didn't taste done. Was grateful there was a subway downstairs.

I came in at 11pm and the time is now 4:38am. I m still having sharp chest pain and stabbing pains with uncontrollable gas from both ends. I hope to be seen very soon. I ve been having uncontrollable gas all day and all night. I just want them to find out what s wrong with me.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! EVERYTIME YOU GO YOU WILL FOR SURE BE WAITING 5 OR MORE HOURS!!! AND WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO THE BACK THEY TREAT YOU HORRIBLY!! AND ACT LIKE THEY DONT REALLY CARE FOR YOU, THAT THEY JUST TELL YOU SOMETHING THEN PUSH YOU OUT THE DOOR.

Terrible hospital. Wife has been there in both the Emergency Room (horrendous wait times even at slow times) as an in patient.
Found numerous errors in billing statements and they would never explain or justify. Use a reputable facility such as Emory if you want quality care and honest billing.

My experience could not have been any better. I went in for an outpatient procedure and everyone in registration to all the nurses, XRay and Rad Techs were so nice and wanted me to be comfortable in every way. They were all very knowledgeable and extremely experienced, from starting my IV to administering the mylegram. itself. In my opinion, they were some of the best healthcare professionals I have ever come in contact with.

I had my surgery performed there 2 weeks ago and had to stay overnight. Everyone I came in contact with from my pre-op to my discharge was very nice, attentive and professional. I did have a small issue with the billing department but eventually got help from Ms. Bell who was extremely helpful. I've also visited the E.R. a few times with different family members and did not experience any of the complaints I've read and I'm extremely germaphobic and have extreme OCD.

All that to say, my daughter is having her baby there in a few months and I am very comfortable with the most important person in my life being admitted to this hospital. I will be back after she gives birth to give another review and hopefully it will be the same as this one.

2 star because they are sometimes nice but I had a HORRIBLE experience tonight !!! My nurse seemed like she didn t know what she was doing. She made blood splatter everywhere from all on my arm to the hospital bed because she didn t properly know how to put an IV in my arm. Before she inserted the IV I told her that she was rough af. She was just throwing the wipes on me to clean her mess up with just HORRIBLE!

My mother was a patient in the ICU for a week and I was very impressed with the staff at this hospital. Everyone I met was knowledgeable and very compassionate.

The hospital is great! I don't know why they getting bad reviews. I guess everyone is different.

Atrocious. Unclean. Combative nurses. Awful food. They treat you like an inferior person. No one asks you questions about yourself or prior treatment, just TELL you what they think after spending 5 minutes with you. When I had my youngest child the anesthesiologist dang near killed me and while I was choking b/c the epidural went the wrong way he kept insisting I was fine. Until all the bells and whistles started going off. Recently had a friend have to go there. They put an IV in wrong and his arm was swollen like a football. They also refused to listen to him about his COPD meds and let his oxygen levels hit 89! Go somewhere else if you can.

This place is very professional, all The nurses and Dr.s are great and the service is wonderful..even tho they service lots of people throughout the day ,your wait is never to long!! That deserves a THANK YOU!!! AND 5 STARS!!

Would give a 0 if i could. I have TMJ.. Severe Pain in my face. But because i did not have $250 dollars cash / insurance, and they didn't deem a " emergency" they refused me treatment. I requested a note saying they are refusing to render treatment, they said they couldn't give me one. I ask them if the community knew about new policy and they said no, they have no intentions on telling , i said i will share publicly myself then.But in a nutshell if it is deemed not an emergency, and you don't have $$$ or insurance they don't want to deal with you, and may not treat you. So everyone Be Aware...They refused me treatment today..

Amazing staff, they work fast and take care of everything.

I needed help ASAP, my little boy was very sick. We got immediate attention and the ER treated him with such care until we could be transferred. Total lifesavers.

The ICU is amazing. Spent two days in there. They were quick and very responsive and so polite. But everywhere else is quite dreadful. I've been in this hospital room calling my nurses for over an hour just so I can get my IV's wrapped up (I have two of them) JUST so I can take a shower. And get a pill for a headache. I understand it's busy. But I'm not asking for too much and OVER an hour is ridiculous.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Horrible communication from staff. Items mysteriously missing. Absolutely do not go here or send your loved ones. Demand another hospital.
Ps - we are still missing the contents of a wallet and a cell phone. Ridiculous

I m currently being seen for some issues. I waited in the emergency room for 8 hours. They have no sense of urgency for anyone who comes in for care. The phlebotomists are THE WORST! Do not come here!

We arrived a little before 7 PM. My fiancee has been having breathing difficulties and chest tightness along with a tingling in his arm. It is now 3:05 AM. I have never in my life heard of such. They have told us for the last three hours, they were waiting on a room to get ready. Wish we could have known this 8 hours ago.

Is it just me or when they post for job opportunities they are like"ok you just applied lol we just kidding bro"

My second day in the ER and I am sitting in the ER lobby livid!!! I tried calling 15 plus times between yesterday and today to get my son's prescription straightened out. The only thing I received was their staff transferring me and others to just leave me on hold until the phone disconnected....Unbelievable!!! The people in the front have been so nonchalant with me it's ridiculous. Someone surely needs to retrain their staff with common sense and customer service. If it is NOT frustrating enough to have an ill child but to be neglected from receiving his antibiotics and waiting forever to recieve the care he should have been given the day before. Smh. You guys really need to do better! If you don't care at least pretend you do, after all we are the reason y'all recieve a paycheck.

Doctors, nurses and staff were great! Everyone was very nice.

We have been here since 4am and still no doctor. What is the purpose of coming to emergency???? Now a shift change to slow things down even more. Second nurse new doctor. Smh and they get paid really well not to be efficient. Hate hospitals. Pay all this money for best insurance and you wait like you have no insurance

My two surgeries and stays at Piedmont Henry exceeded my expectations. Staff and facilities were first class. Some people are just haters and will criticize everything if their experience is not like Six Flags but I have nothing but high compliments for Piedmont Henry Hospital. Very pleasant experience for me!

The wait was not long at all and everyone that I encountered that worked there was very friendly.... I will definitely go back if I have an emergency.....

Outpatient surgery center is great. Pre-op and the surgery itself went very smoothly. The staff is very helpful and efficient.

With extremely high blood pressure, chest pains,and intense head pain, I was left to sit in the ER waiting room for three and a half hours. Then was ignored in the ER room until an embarrassed doctor realized that I had been in the room for half an hour without any intervention for blood pressure or pain. Then was admitted and never once seen by a doctor. A PA called the room to tell me I was discharged the following afternoon. The nurses didn't even know I was to leave and expressed surprise since a doctor never visited.

My daughter came here wit a complaint of chest pain shortness of breath. She arrived at 12:01 am. When I arrived at 12:45 they had completed a EKG and blood work. She was sent to the waiting area where we sat for the next 5 hours without anyone saying a word to her. Several people came a left but she s tut I'll set. I would bring my dog here

I love this place!! Staff is always helpful! They are the inky hospital I have been inane out within 2 hrs. This hospital is 30 min from my home and I don't mind passing a few just to go to this one!!

I'm not sure what happened to this ER. It use to be excellent. Big, clean, they try to get you in and out with a great doctor to diagnose your illness. It's very different now, it has changed greatly since it transitioned to Piedmont. Henry Medical Center was awesome, Piedmont, no to much. The waiting room is now very small and stink. People are waiting for hours and hours. I went about a month ago because I was so sick, I have no insurance, so I opted to go to the ER. There was a cop standing there, looking at me like I'm a criminal, no one is courteous anymore upon walking into the ER. Anywho, I finally get to the back after about 2 hours, which is not all that bad considering how crowded the room was. A Nurse Practitioner comes in examines me and asks me what I need her to do for me. Like WTH???! I'm, obviously here cause I am sick. She' shrugging the whole time saying that she doesn't know what is wrong. They did not take any tests, just gave me a prescription for antibiotics. I had a feeling it would go bad. Anyway, now a month later, I am STILL sick, I may have pneumonia or bronchitis cause the half ass Nurse Practitioner gave me a non-diagnosis. I am never going back to that ER, they have turned so ghetto and that;s pretty sad that Piedmont would let this happen to such a nice hospital. Don't go there, go somewhere else. Never again, they are not killing me.

My mom had a lump on her head and we decided to go to peidmont to see what is was. In record time, the doctor told us it was a benign lipoma that would eventually go down. Thank you all very much!

Do not bring any human being here. The emergency room is not a place to expect accute or emergency care. Professionalism is non existent. On top of all that they are airing Trump on Fox News. Patient beware.

The bathrooms were disgusting. Liquid all around the toilet and all on the floor. And my nurse came in and gave me an iv and left all the packaging and tubes from the iv stuff all over the floor and tables in my room.

They Allowed me to pass out in the Emergency Room 8 times before someone other than people waiting to be seen came to assist me and tried to give me the medication I have the most dangerous allergy to

I have been in the ER for at least 3 hours with bad stomach pains, throwing up in the waiting room. They act as if this is normal. I finally get placed in a room an it took an hour for a nurse to come in. This hospital use to be the best now its the worst and no one cares about anything here. If this is the line of work you choose to make a career out of, have passion to want to do right by the patients.

If we had only encountered the emergency staff it would have been a 5 star. Unfortunately we also had to deal with the ICU staff. Some of the over night "nurses" need to be re-evaluated and replaced. I would recommend the emergency depts. I would ask to be transferred if over-night stays were necessary in the future.

Terrible place. Took over 12 hours for my brother to get a room.

Im just now getting ready to leave the emergency room here at Piedmont Henry at 3:53 am and I havent even been here an hour. Check-In lady was excellent as soon as i walked through the door, the lady who did my vitals not so much. Other than that the nurses and doctors were fast, professional and caring. Speaking for myself my exsperience here for the first time was great.

If I could put one star I would. My husband and I spent 6 hours in the ER waiting to be seen. He was very sick, his throat was raw, couldn't swallow, and was just miserable. It was cold as hell in the waiting room, I felt sick by time he went back. I asked the doctor for medication. I pray I don't have to go to this hospital for a real emergency life threatening.

Just called the ER for my son to be seen and I had the worst experience from the representative from the ER. Her attitude was out of the ying yang.

My sister's almost died with 4 bouts of sepsis, pancreatitis and complications from a GI surgery. I would NOT recommend taking anyone there that you love!

(ZERO STARS) I took my mother to the ER on 12/15/2016 for chest pains and difficulty breathing. Arrived at 9:00 pm. While waiting for my mother to be seen a woman came in and was in excruciating pain, so bad that she was screaming. Apparently she had 2 gall bladders removed an this is her 3rd time coming back in pain. She was screaming that she was bleeding through her staples and the lady at the front desk yelled at her telling her she needs to quiet down because there are other ppl in the waiting room. She was very nasty about it and told her to be quiet a few times. It bothered so bad that I was in tears, this woman was in so much pain she was turning pale and her eyes were rolling in the back of her head. She came in maybe 10 minutes after us it is now 1:30 and she still has not been seen. Nor has my mother. Another womam his here holding her chest in pain and she has been waiting for 4 hours and is just not getting an xray, another woman has been here for 5 hours and her name was removed from the list which has happened to a few other ppl tonight. This place is sooo inorganized, unsanitary and the staff is very rude and can give a damn about their patients. All 3 of the woman at the front desk are on their phones while ppl are trying to talk to them... UNACCEPTABLE! if you are in real bad shape please do not come here shoot dont even come for a hang nail, you will probably leave with an infection. They do not thoroughly clean their beds i have watched the lady go from room to room with the same cloth cleaning beds with no cleaning fluids. BACK to my mother she still has not been seen so we are going to leave now they said there are 9 patients in front of her and it will be a 5-7 hour wait. How in the hell is this an emergency room? In closing the reviews on this hospital are unbelievable horrible and I pray that the board is reviewing these reviews and come up with a plan of action because the community is VERY unhappy with their services. I will NEVER EVER EVER RETURN. it is disturbing that this is the closet hospital to us and I have children, I would drive an hour to another hospital before I come here with a family member again. So much more has happened that I dont even have the energy to mention but if someone of power reads this post PLEASE do something about this horrid service.

I've never ever seen a hospital like this!!!! Been here since 1am it's 6:30 now. I go asked how much longer? The response is " I don't know but I can tell you the longest wait is 13 hours and there's 6 people ahead of you" really!!!!! This is unheard of.... I bet I will get a bill before we get seen! I would have been better off driving to another city. Something needs to be done about this. Looks like a homeless shelter all these people with no where to go. Sure not going to be seen.....all of a sudden they just called 4 people back.

The ER staff is more interested in casual workplace chit chat than responding to patient concerns. I had to ask the Check-in person (Gayle) if she heard me, after she turned away from me to finish her conversation about nothing with her coworker. There appears to be absolutely no sense of urgency in this ER (Check-in and Triage), and they seem to be quite LAZY.

Worst wait time ever , my child wasn t feeling good and we waited over 6 hours . This place needs help ASAP!

Today was my third visit to the ER in 3 years. Today it was my DR's orders. I was having awful pain in my lower back due to a herniated disc and could not walk, sit, stand on lie down. Had to lay on the floor in the waiting room because of the pain. I was seen in a timely fashion and treated and consulted by the most caring staff. Treatment was prompt and effective. The NP was excellent! The first visit was due to a chain saw injury which had to be cleaned up and stitched. Very attentive and caring at that time as well. The second time was last year when I had to have stitches, 13 to be exact, to two of my fingers that had gotten slammed in a truck door and were cut open deeply. A good choice when you have to go to the ER. I have been many times in other facilities that I will not go back to. I will go to Piedmont Henry any time in the future.

I don't know why this place gets such bad reviews ,but when I was hospitalized for two weeks not only did they bring me back from the brink of death they also gave me the medicine I needed to get back right.They fed me 3 times a day,bathe me when needed and helped me when I needed it. It wasn't a place I wanted to be,but the whole staff there made it as comfortable as possible. And through the financial aid program they have taken care of the ginormous hospital bill that I was stuck with. They wrote the whole thing off. Talk about a miracle.

If I could give this hospital a 0, I would! Terrible communication during this COVID-19 virus! They sent my mom home one night with the ambulance service and she was on oxygen. Nothing in the release papers about oxygen! Next morning, we had to call emergency because oxygen level was low and her skin was yellow tinted. My mom was admitted once again and she passed away a few days later. If we would've known there was not a chance she could recover, we would've brought her home for her last days! Awful communication! Why would they release her? Stay away! Your life may depend on it!

If I could give this hospital ZERO stars I would happily do so. Where do I start? Filthy room, the nonworking elevators, the non communicative nurses & doctors, nurses with horrible attitudes, etc. I was thoroughly shocked at the subpar environment and level of care at this hospital. Maybe it was just a bad week at Piedmont Henry but I seriously doubt it--from the many 1 star reviews on Google, it looks like this is normal ranking for them.

My wife was sent to this hospital for a outpatient CT scan. We arrived at 1pm an she was not called back for her scan until after 5:30pm. The lady at the diagnostic services desk (Tiffany) was very rude an unprofessional. Another patient approached her to ask if she knew how much longer it would be, (Tiffany's) response was "no clue I get off in a few minutes". The patient commented that there is no need to be rude. (Tiffany) responded "Well deal with it".
I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.

The wait at 11:00 pm said 35 mins, we get here still shows 35 mins. Its 3:08 am now so someone clearly doesnt know what 35 mins is. As I type this is says 0 minutes waiting time. Horrible time management. Also, there should be zero stars they dont even deserve 1 star. And listening to the front desk ladies laughing and carrying on its ridiculous. Still here in waiting room got here at 11:20 & now its 3:28. Pitiful

Never for me again. The accounting department is absolutely horrible to talk with. Lets hope you never have to talk with Rachel. Give whole new meaning customer no service. Not enough space here to complain about it. Really, I need to move on as it only makes me angry. Not worth wasting my breath on.

Fastest check in I have ever experienced at Henry Piedmont. I was in an exam room in like 20 min. Thanks to nurses Matt, Leah, Robin and all of the staff for great compassionate care.
