Walter E. Smithe Furniture-Naperville Showroom Review

As I was conditioning the leather furniture I realized our 20+ year old leather reclining chairs that we got from Walter E Smithe are in better condition than the leather chairs and couches we bought in NC (our new home state) 2 years ago. These chairs are still comfortable, recline well, and have held up great.

Great furniture and personalized service. Employees are very friendly! Cassie Pouk is very knowledgeable and easy to work with!

Just want to say how wonderful it has been to work with Maureen from the Naperville store over the past 6 plus months. She has been most accommodating in providing us with her design expertise, resources and selection while being cognizant of our budget. She was patient and always going above and beyond to find those extra items we wanted to complete our home. Maureen is delightful to work with and adapts well to meet the various personalities of her clients to make sure they are 100% satisfied in their selection.

I went in looking for an immediate delivery of a specific idea for my bedroom just a week before Christmas at the Naperville store. I met Nancy, my angel in waiting! She listened to my needs, led me to three items and there was my dream bedroom!! Just a chest and night stand, both on sale, but perfect!! Delivery wouldn t come until after Christmas because all trucks had shut down for the holidays. It s so perfect, I m alright with this, then I get a call and it WILL be delivered before Christmas. Thank you Nancy!! I must say I couldn t have asked for kinder or more qualified delivery men either!! I AM A FAN OF WALTER E SMITHE!

After deciding to update the middle floor of my 20 year old home, I was fortunately introduced to a top designer at Walter E. Smith at the Naperville location!....Kerri Murphy was professional, timely, organized and laid out a beautiful plan for my project! Her eye for color, texture and flow of a room layout was excellent! Thank you Kerri for helping me transform my everyday space! You are magical!

Loria Hartman transformed our front room into an actual living space. We love the furniture she selected along with the accessories! We sit in our new front room every day and enjoy the new feel. She listened, knew our taste, and made the room happen within our budget. Great at follow-up, flexible, and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

We moved from an apartment in Chicago last year with 10+ year old furniture to a house in the burbs and were in desperate need of some help. We first walked into WES last year feeling overwhelmed and defeated after a long day of visiting several other places. We were greeted by Nancy and liked her but were skeptical yet we figured we had nothing to lose. It was the best decision we could have made. She visited our house and within minutes could determine our style and with very little direction from us, she helped us furnish the entire main level of our house. We're working with her again this summer on a couple extra rooms. She's phenomenal at her job, a fantastic lady and joy to work with. She provides terrific practical advice and suggestions tailored to individual needs. She has been quick to follow up yet also patient when we have needed more time. I cannot say enough great things about her and our experience at WES. So very highly recommend her!

I have had such a great experience working with Walter E. Smithe in Naperville for the past 2+ years. Very customer service oriented from the welcoming at the door, the consulting services, picking the right fabrics and styles to update my home all the way to delivery experience has been nothing short of a wonderful experience. While the company has grown in size and locations over the years the experience is still personal and like working with the family indirectly through the designers. This is a great company, extremely professional and willing to work with the customer for the right outcome. I have updated my entire house thanks to the experience and products offered at Walter E. Smithe. I have had great experiences working with both Ann and Loria and highly recommend!

Our designer is Kerri Murphy - she did a fantastic job helping us find exactly what we were looking for while making sure everything fit perfectly into our house.

Just bought my bedroom set from this place. What a fantastic experience. Our rep Michelle was knowledgeable and helped us pick out the right piece for our new townhouse. She came and measured and helped us design the living and dining space as well. We will for sure be using them for all our furniture needs. It is a little more expensive than other places though i feel the quality you receive is worth every penny. The pieces you get are pieces that will last forever. They wont go out of style either.

Bring the big credit card very high prices. I bought the same style outdoor furniture at another store for less than half the price with the warranty.

We were looking to furnish the first floor of our new home. Working long hours while choosing right type of furniture for an open floor plan was overwhelming to me. We started with Anne and she was delightful to work with. Then I had to switch it to Kerri due to my limited availability. She had worked with two of close friends in past so I was familiar with her work. Kerri visited my home. She understood my personal style and vision for the space. In a day, she had my floor plan ready to show me and it was excatly what I was looking for. She respected my budget and recommended furniture within the price range. I highly recommend Walter e Smith and Kerri Murphy. FYI. They have furniture that fits all budgets. Their customer service is outstanding.

They did well when Carley and I went to make purchases. Very solid and good furniture.

Our experience was horrible, the designer was very impatient rude and she talked down to us. She was overall very confrontational stating she has 14 years of experience and then just walked away to dismiss us. She walked away using her personal cell phone compaining about how crazy her job is. I was referred to Walter E Smith by my mother in law and was excited to go and now I will never set foot in that store again if that's how they treat customers.

Top notch experience from start to finish. Nancy Dell'Ape-Carbone was our designer. Not only did she do a phenomenal job of transforming our family room space, but she was really nice, as well. We LOVE our new furniture. Not only is it beautiful but it is sooooo comfy!! Thanks, Nancy and W.E.S.!

I need to share my experience w/ Walter E Smithe in Naperville... A few years ago I purchased a condo and needed to furnish it ... I walked in and I was greeted by a very friendly and lovely lady and designer... Nancy.. She talked w/ me for has long has I needed. Very patient, She got to know me, my likes and dislikes... She worked w/ my budget and my dreams, and my place looks amazing . Some people may think WES is high in price. But I m a firm believer you get what you pay for. Also they work within your budget. I ve been there a few times after my purchases and the staff are friendly and willing to help. They always do an amazing job on designing the floor, with their new pieces ... If you are looking for professionalism , designer expertise , and beautiful furniture pieces I highly recommend WES Naperville. Thank You Nancy.. It s so nice to walk into a place that you can call your own and enjoy the beauty of its design ... YH

I have to admit I did not have an appreciation for design until I met Loria Hartman. The moment she walked into our home she was able to get a sense of our style. When we met again to go over the design I was in awe. I am in love with everything Loria picked out and without her knowing she designed around our favorite lamps. Loria is able to pick key colors and designs to speak to any style. I learned a lot about design, furniture, and fabrics. Loria walked us through ever step of the process to make it simple. She turned a canvas into art and we are excited to work with her on the rest of our home.

On a recommendation from a friend, we went to WES and by a stroke of good luck, Kerri Murphy greeted us. She became our designer for some furniture and accessories for our new home. Kerri came to our house, saw our taste, and really listened to what I was saying. Her design plan was spot on! I am amused by everyone telling me I made such good choices. (I always give credit to Kerri.) Pulling an open concept area together is something I could have never done and I am grateful to have had Kerri to do that for us!

Visited Store, brought home literature of items we were interested in. Our sales rep was Maureen. Called back requesting quotes. Had to email to check on quotes. Maureen had difficulties in getting the proper pricing, said she would call manufacturer and get back to us.....been 3 weeks, never heard back from her. We have a healthy budget for some custom pieces, however, the customer service at this location is crazy poor.
