Courtney has been helping me struggle through finding the right product and combination of products for my 95 year old mother's incontinence issues. I have been very impressed with the level of professionalism she has exhibited and how helpful she has been with understanding how I might apply for support as my mother is of a lower income group. Courtney has been one of the most friendly and knowledgable sales person's I have ever been involved with for any purchase anywhere. I strongly suggest you seek her out regardless of your needs as I am sure she would get the right person involved if she couldn't help you directly.

The one individual who comes to mind, is Colleen, the A/R person at Healthcare Solutions 5920 Gateway Blvd NW Edmonton, AB.
Colleen has served Edith Sheppard, my younger foster sister with cerebral palsy, for many years. Edith lives independently, has graduated from college, and communicates readily by computer. Colleen has also very effectively assisted me over the years in learning how to use Healthcare Solutions as Our primary vendor for our personal products provided for through ADL (Aids to Daily Living) as well as by a private purchase while keeping our accounts well within our budget and able to be paid in full at all times.
At the end of the day, "it is what it is" - all authorization for funding must be in place before the products we need can be delivered. But going through the process to get there is like finding your way through a corn maze. That is where Colleen's assistance has been so helpful. Her experience both professionally and personally has been a godsend.
Especially when our personal health needs are changing as we age, the task can easily become overwhelming. Clear direction on how to proceed comes only from experience.
I learned from Colleen's experience as she works within a precise financial function but in an invaluably effective manner. For example, both my sister and I have the same doctor, but different and changing medical assessors, prescriptions for services/products, case managers, and personal care workers. But we need the same ADL authorizations, vendor(HCS), delivery service, and A/R persons/HCS/Colleen.
Each piece of the puzzle must fit into place for our needs to be met and our bills to be paid. Colleen's experience is essential because she can let us know what piece is missing, how long that process usually takes, and how to plan ahead to confirm authorization to be able to receive our products on time.

I received great customer service from Crystal when I ordered a lift chair for my mom; she was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable and knew her products ; she was super helpful with the various paper work; she had the product built and delivered directly to mom s room in a care facility the next day, very efficient. The price was very reasonable and the chair operates perfectly. Thank you Crystal !!
Went to home health care solutions today to purchase a product I have purchased dozens of times for my husband. The price rang up incorrectly at the till ($9 more than usual) and I let them know that. The cashier Ila brings the price tag to the front which showed the price I have paid many times previously. She told me that the advertised price (which I have purchased at dozens of time was incorrect) she proceeded to made a big deal about charging what the box was scanning at (still $9 more than labled). Ila told me she wouldnt allow me to purchase the product, even though I have a dozen or so times before at that price. She also told me in these times we need to share the wealth and I should pay the higher price, that the box was scanning at. I have just been laid off, my husband who is 36 and needs this product daily and cannot function without it, has benefits that do not cover it. So why the heck should I "share the wealth" as Ila said with a giant store like Home Care Health Solutions when all I want to do us pay for the product at the advertised price?!? Absolute garbage service. Never would recommend anyone go there. Shop elsewhere, they will gouge you on prices, because they want us to "share the wealth"
Great selection of scooters, good prices. Salesperson "Payal" was exceptional at showing me the different models, helping me decide what features I required and demonstrating the way they break apart for transport. She allowed me as much time as I needed to compare models and practice on my own. There was no pressure to purchase. Her expertise and knowledge helped me to decide, when I was ready, which one to buy. She went above and beyond on the day of purchase to make sure the scooter was given to me in perfect condition. I really appreciated her care and attention to myself as a customer, and couldn't be more satisfied with the scooter I brought home. Thank-you Payal!
Came into the Northgate store looking for a back brace and Chantal helped me with kindness professionalism knowledge and patience. I am now the proud owner of two braces that both fit my form and my needs. I left the store feeling good about myself.
A good friend of mine was in a serious accident, we were assisting him through what was a very perilous time. After many surgery's and many months of rehabilitation he was finally given the go ahead to return home. I was asked to assist in getting him set up at home with the many aids that he would require. I contacted the folks at Health Care Solutions and gave them a list of equipment and aids that he needed. The process was awesome and the team at HCS made every effort to get him set up, they recommended alternatives and delivered his products and went through set up and use. Excellent service HCS, I would recommend these folks for any and all of your health care requirements.
I came here for the first time 2 weeks ago because I may have broken my ankle so I needed an air boot. There were two girls at cash who both asked what I needed and the one girl helped show me where the air boots were and helped fit me. Everyone else I saw was nice, respectful to other clients in the store and helped everyone the best they could. I had a great experience and was very surprised at how big and clean the store is as well.
This store always carries the products I need. Great customer service. I have purchased a great knee brace that has been really helpful after meniscal knee surgery. They had lots of options to choose from and they carefully explained the features of each type. I recently bought a knee pillow as well. It helps align your body to make sleeping more comfortable. My parents were very happy with their lift chairs. My father suffered extreme nerve pain and was actually able to get some sleep in his totally reclining chair. His scooter allowed him so much more mobility as did the walkers he purchased. Healthcare Solutions even sent a staff member to their assisted living complex to service these items which was very helpful. Definitely recommend checking out this business for health and sports medicine needs!
I recently purchased the Standers Let's Shop by Trust Care rollator from Healthcare Solutions located in Edmonton.
This rollator is simply awesome!
I use it on paved pathways and hardly feel it because of its lightweight. The wheels may be small, but I hardly feel the bumps. The tires have excellent grip even on smooth lino surfaces. Brakes hold the rollator firmly, allowing me to sit confidently.
I am 180 cm in height. I set the handle at its highest setting. I am able to walk naturally, comfortably, and upright. Best of all, the hand grips are at just the right height for me to steady myself to sit, and to prop myself from a sitting to standing position. When seated, I use the hand grips and handle as armrests! When walking, I use the flat surfaces on the hand grips to rest my palms.
The seat height is perfect - easy to get seated, and high enough to stand up with minimum effort. The seat itself is quite comfortable. I have sat on it for 30 minutes without feeling much discomfort. The backrest is sturdy, and is ideally positioned for me to brace myself against it, sitting in an upright position.
All in all, an ergonomically well- designed rollator, great attention to detail, extremely good build quality. The design definitely stands out from all other rollators. I enjoy being seen "in" it!

Couple months ago i went to the southside store and i was treated like a king to get a knee brace that would help get through until knee replacement...i had a wonderful lady(forgot her name) who spent a lot of time with me trying to find the proper knee brace for me to relieve the pain until surgery(soon)...thank you guys for a great caring service

It was my first time here and I was amazed. I came for a tennis elbow injury, I was helped by 2 people who were very knowledgeable and helpful as to how to use it properly. I highly recommend to shop here for any medical supplies needed

Extremely rude and dismissive. We were ignored once their answer was no (and there are more pleasant ways to say no -- calling us liars isn't a good place to start), and we weren't offered any alternatives afterwards, much less a smile or a sorry. Will dispense with our $200+ somewhere else.
This is the first time I have used Healthcare Solutions, and even though I didn t end up needing the product I ordered, the customer service was amazing in general, and specifically in helping me ensure I got the right sizing and product. The product arrived very quickly and in great condition. Crystal was very helpful in helping me process the return. I would definitely order from them again.

Wide selection of products and I found what I needed, but absolutely useless and rude employees. I needed an ankle brace and asked two of them for help and both of them just walked away after I described what I needed. There was also nowhere to sit to try on the ankle brace - so I guess I'm supposed to levitate? I found a dirty set of demo stairs to perch on, and managed to figure out the brace on my own, but I was shocked at how unhelpful the employees were. Worse still, the cashier could tell I was upset and when I described what happened she said 4 or 5 other people had said the same thing that day.

Healthcare Solutions has been our lifeline during my husband s terminal illness, but they have also provided the products we needed for many years. Customer service is outstanding and caring. Product lines are excellent. We have purchased and rented both larger items like wheelchairs, and daily care needs. We cannot thank them enough for being there when we needed them.
I just priced an Aircast SP Walking Brace - $84.95 in the United States, and $159.95 at Healthcare Solutions. I asked an employee about the price, and she said, "Prices are always cheaper in the US!" Not like that they're not - they probably have limited distribution in Canada, so they charge what they think they can get away with. No wonder Canadians shop in the US as much as they can. Canadian retailers have been ripping off consumers for too long.
Congratulations on running a successful business that fills a huge need in the community. Many positive reviews. These reviews had to do with the customer sales and service but I have a comment to make with regard to the other end of commerce, product returns. In the spring of 2018 I spent $1400 in your store. My invalid wife, who is now in a care home, never used the product and never will. So, I went to return the item. I had the invoice and showed the item, expecting, like any successful retailer like Wal Mart would do, that the item would be taken back and my money refunded no problem. Nooo! Guess what? I didn't have the BOX it came in so no return. I now have the item which I have no use for whatsoever, and you have had the use of my money for a number of months. I guess I will just put the item in a prominent place in my living room and when guests ask what it is I can tell them, and anyone else I talk to, about the sort of business you are.
Colleen in accounting is awesome. I live in a rural community but have products purchased and delivered for my Mom in Edmonton. Colleen has assisted me on numerous occasions with both account needs and product knowledge. Excellent individual to have on staff.

We've been a great customer for this company but when I ordered a few items for them lately, it's just a hassle as they are charging me for a shipping when I ordered items more than $100 CAD -their reason is because I ordered over the PHONE and NOT ONLINE. Plus, i got overcharged too because the item on their website is saying $23.58 but since I ordered over the phone, they have a different price which is $31.99. I tried calling them about this but they won't even bother explaining they're only telling me that that's all they can do and it's not their fault why I ordered over the phone and not online. First of all, that's already false advertising as your website doesn't say any exclusions nor notes about ordering over the phone or online. Also, why is it a different price if you're ordering over the phone or online when it's all in the same company ??!! Like C'mon! that's just plain wrong & HORRENDOUS! VULTURES! NOW tell me why exactly and where in your shipping information states all these stuffs that I said??
And they don't even want you to return all those items b/c "THEY'RE NOT AT FAULT"
Amazing selection for walkers. They had every size and color possible along with all the accessories. The staff were super helpful and friendly, which made shopping for my family members healthcare products easy. Best part is they even have Chinese speaking staff that made shopping easy. Highly recommend!
COVID19 UPDATE: I appreciate the signage and hand cleaning they have at the door. The staff is excellent at maintaining social distance and is very helpful. The online ordering is super easy and I appreciate the small family business attitude.
I checked out the new store last weekend and was really impressed by the huge selection of products. Compared to their old store there is much more selection. I was looking for some fitness equipment and wound care and they had a wide range of products that I could choose from. The staff was really excited to show me all of the different products.
As a bonus, the new store has much better parking too.
Wow! I ordered from their website and they are super efficient and offer a great service. The delivery guy waited a bit too see if i was at home to pick up the package eventhough it was rainny. So nice!
And i find their prices are good, rigth now with covid things are getting harder to ship thus increasing the cost for the suppliers too.

This businness should not be in cistomer service it has been since nov 13 been waiting for a call back it is nov 20 now and nothing what a joke will tell others and see what happens to them when they have no customers how they stay above water - This was a misunderstanding - all the proper paperwork has been submitted, and all has been taken care of now. I have obtained my brace.
Excellent customer service! I dealt with Crystal in the order department when my order wasn't able to be filled because Health Care Solution's supplier failed to ship the backordered product as anticipated. She issued me an immediate refund which I took to be the end of our interaction but a few days later I received another email from her. She had taken it upon herself to do research on my behalf and had come up with a comparable product to my original choice that was in stock and half the price. Very impressed! Thank you Crystal.

Having to return a knee brace, Courtney the floor supervisor was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately the one I wanted was out of stock in my size but she and Sandy ordered one for me. It arrived quicker than expected. Was a good experience.
I wasn't sure about ordering at first because you never really know these days with online shopping sites---not being able to see the product firsthand, ordering experience and shipping, etc. but when I ordered from this site, the order was processed quickly, shipped promptly and an invoice was sent just in case I needed it for claims (I didn't need it but it was nice that it was there). Their customer service is great and the items I received were of great quality. Living in a remote area, online ordering is sometimes necessary especially with medical/health equipment. I came here a few weeks ago to get a wrist brace, immediately I was greeted by Tavaine. I was in there for about 10-15 minutes and not a single second was negative. Terrible service. Left without anyone helping me even though one of the ladies said that there were lots of girls on the floor and went to look for them. After standing around for far too long, I just left. Will go to a different store that hopefully has better customer service. Or any service...
I have been a customer/client of Healthcare Solutions for more than five years. I find the staff courteous and knowledgeable. Service is prompt and efficient. My deliveries, when needed, are as promised. I had one return in that time and it was handled with no hassle. I had one shortage of supplies picked up; that also was corrected immediately. I have no qualms recommending Healthcare Solutions to my friends and family.
Stay away from this company! My mom was in a memory care facility who ordered incontinence underwear from this company. When the first order was received, they had sent extra large which did not fit my mom (she barely weighed 100 pounds). We asked the facility at the time to change this which they did not and kept ordering. My sister personally went in to Healthcare Solutions to ask they change the size to which they advised she could not do this and that it was up to the home. Boxes kept being sent and were piling up in my mom's room. We could not use them as they were too big. I asked the nurses in the home to stop ordering as well as spoke with the AHS coordinator at the home to stop ordering. I was assured the order would be cancelled. Now over a year after my mom has passed away, I am being sent bills for items she never received or used. I called Healthcare Solutions to advise what had happened and approximately a month later I received a call stating they would be taking me to collections as I was her Power of Attorney. They refused to even check with the home to verify the details I had given them. My mom's estate has already been finalized. If I had been provided the bills beforehand and they had been cancelled like I had requested, I would have no issues paying for the one box that may have been opened/used but I don't see that I should have to pay for items the home failed to send back. The home where my mom was at would have a record of the multiple requests to cancel. I gave Healthcare Solutions the names of each person we dealt with at the home trying to resolve this. I suspect the underwear were never sent back as we were told but used on other residents. But how am I supposed to prove this more than a year after she has passed away and almost 2 years from the original bill date? Why is that my responsibility or fault when Healthcare Solutions would not deal with the family back then and would only deal with the facility? Yet now, they refuse to even verify with them and say it is up to me as Power of Attorney to pay. If that was the case, I should have been allowed deal with this at the time they were sending the incorrect size. As I stated, my mom's estate has already been finalized and I certainly don't have the money to pay for items she never received. There has been no compassion or understanding shown or offer to work with me to prove what I have told them is true. The lady who left a voicemail was insulting and threatening in my opinion. I would advise thinking twice about using this company.
The staff I deal with are always very friendly and helpful. We have had issues with items on back order but that's typical of any business waiting on another so really not a big deal.

We went back in today, after I relayed my story over the weekend as was requested, and we were treated professionally and sincerely. I am so very appreciative of the way this was handled. I never once had to raise my voice, or throw a tantrum. I just told my story (which based on your comment you had already looked into prior to contacting me) and immediately a resolution was sought. Thank you very very much. Original 1star: The service my mom & I got today was the most unhelpful and disrespectful we've ever encountered. Dollarama was more willing to help than the people in this store today. The lady who helped us did the bare minimum she could. If she didn't want to help she should have sent someone else over and stayed behind the till. That was disappointing, but what was truly disrespectful was the skeezy sales-type guy who started barking at us as we left disappointed. I'm guessing from the way he barked at the staff he was a manager of some kind (he never introduced himself). During the entire conversation, he never once addressed my mom. He preferred to speak to me, despite the fact that my mom (in a wheelchair) was the only one talking. He failed to listen to a single word we were saying. I guess she's just too young (ie not a senior), or too disabled (has to remain in a wheelchair) for the bare basics of customer service and respect.
I placed an order. My receptionist accidentally placed the same order online. Went to return duplicate order. Would not accept return, even though website clearly states that returns are accepted within 7 days. Totally false and misleading.
I arrived 3 minutes before they close because I went to the old location and found out that it s moved and they didn t mention on google maps that they moved. The lady was sweet to help me searching for a certain type of compression socks but she didn t find it so she called her manager who was very rude and didn t want to do any effort telling me that they are closing and she didn t have time to go through other brands of the same type of socks, I went home disappointed :(
Fabulous service! The staff always goes above and beyond my expectations to provide me with needed aids and supplies. I truly appreciate having a vendor who really cares about me and provides such excellent customer service. I strongly recommend this business to everyone in need of the products they carry. Prices are definitely far more reasonable than any of their competitors - I have made a concerted effort to check prices at all the vendors prior to making a purchase.
They have always been very helpful and have provided useful information whether it was for bandage materials, to home living aid products, to a recliner lift chair for my dad.
Honestly, Best service i have had anywhere... i usually dont write reviews but wow.. They couldn't find some items and sizes so what they did was call other stores and put it on hold for us is write down the phone number, address, and even directions.. lol
Yesterday I was fitted by Yuletide for a hernia belt. From when we walked in the door to when we left it took less than 20 minutes. She took the time to make sure I was able to put the belt on my own the correct way. The other staff were very helpfuland friendly.
Picked up a Grab Bar today, 32" - Wow nice showroom, and great service. Very happy, just installed for my mother and works great. Good price as well. Great place!!

I am extremely impressed with the delivery people from Health Care Solutions (Gateway) which have been plentiful in my case. I was so impressed that I had to ask for their names so I could phone the store and inform management on how professional and helpful they were. If you are fortunate enough to get Alex, John or Kyle S delivering or picking up from your house you can be assured that they will look after you and your furniture. Great team!

Two weeks ago I broke my ankle. I was referred to Healthcare Solutions to get an air cast as I heard many positive things about the company, and I was not disappointed at all. From the moment I stumbled in I felt so comfortable. The staff were pleasant and inviting. They went over and above all expectations and I left feeling satisfied with my purchase and the level of customer service that I received.
I have been visiting Healthcare Solutions South for about six years. The store is always busy but I can always find a staff member to help me. The staff are courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about all of the many products they sell. I have recommended this store to others and will continue to do so.

After a consult with my husband's surgeon, it was suggested that we purchase an iWalk to help increase his mobility. I called and spoke with someone from the Southside location and they said we could come in the same day and have the iWalk fitted and that we could test it out. When we arrived, we waited at Customer Service and then had someone take us to where the iWalk was located in the store. We were told, rather abruptly, that we would have to wait for someone to help us. Which was completely fine, there were several other customers in the store and we were very patient while an employee stocked a shelf directly next to us.
This same employee then came back and without introducing themselves began to tell us how my husband's Aircast was improperly fitted and secured. Having just come from his orthopedic surgeon and nurse we found this information to be quite startling. Not until we interrupted the employee's tirade, did they pause and listen. At no point did they ask about the injury and whether or not he was weight-bearing. Had they asked they would have found out that he was only 2 weeks post-op and was not allowed to put any weight on his foot. While I understand that there could be a rule about not asking a customer what their injury is, it was very obvious that my husband was not putting any weight on his foot while he was standing and crutching through the store.
It was extremely frustrating to sit there and be demanded to deflate his Aircast (against the direct instruction of his surgeon and nurse) and have the employee suggest they make the adjustments with no medical knowledge of my husband's injury. It took my husband and I firmly stating 'No, we are not comfortable with this" for the employee to actually listen and move on.
After struggling to adjust the iWalk to my husband's height, and giving no advice on how to walk with it my husband began testing it out. While he was walking around, I inquired about the assembly of the iWalk. I was immediately greeted with hostility and a condescending tone. I was told that they do not assemble it in store and that I would need to 'watch a video". When I asked about the difficulty of assembling the iWalk at home, I was again greeted with condescention and told to 'watch the video'. My question remained unanswered for the duration of our time in the store despite me asking again after the employee revealed that they used to assemble it in store.
After testing the iWalk, the employee also stated that we should try the knee scooter. Thankfully, the employee noticed that the first scooter was broken before having my husband test it. However, the second scooter was also broken. The brakes did not work and my husband did not discover this until he tried to stop.
At the conclusion of the trials, the employee left us with simply stating that she would be at the front when we were ready. At no point did any education on either option take place, nor tact when working with us. It was off-putting and very frustrating to be spoken to and treated in a disrespectful manner.
Obviously, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Specifically, Accelerated Orthopedic Service and Medical Supply. I would suggest anyone else considering Healthcare Solutions to check with Accelerated Orthopedic Service and Medical Supply first. They customer service is OUTSTANDING.
Had an absolutely wonderful experience today at Healthcare Solutions. I went in looking for a brace for my knee, and having absolutely no idea what I was looking at. My representative Beverly was very professional and extremely helpful, sized me, and made me feel very comfortable. And during a pandemic no less! Thank you for the great experience!
