HCA Bayshore Medical Center Review

My grandfather had a bad fall and split his head open.We called 911. They took him to bayshore. He was kept in the hall. A nurse did his stitches and he never got to see a dr at all. They didnt clean the wound and went to discharge him when my father noticed there was still 2 IVs still stuck in his arms!!! Talk about infections. I couldnt believe there was no dr and nobody ever followed up about the stitches or even told us how many stitches he got. My grandfather saw a dr affiliated with the hospital today who proceeded to tell my grandmother there was still dry blood on his head and refused to take out the stitches until she took him home and cleaned it. As of now they are still in there. Worst hospital ever. Weve decided we will drive him to patience hospital off fairmont next time they actually care about their patients well being. These ppl should be put out of business for malpractice. None of them know what they are doing. I plan on reporting to the BBB

I received blood work and a chest x-ray the day after Thanksgiving and all 5 people that I talked to at Bayshore were extremely nice and helpful. Thanks!

Discharged before full triage from ER while having a full Stroke. I'm only alive Thanks to someone finding unconscious in parking lot and helping me get to another hospital for lifesaving treatment.

Worst HOSPITAL don't EVER waste your time going to this hospital they have no care for any patient's. They should close this place down. Saw them turn children away because they didn't THINK it was a emergency

You know I use to love that hospital but it was a nightmare this time I was hurting real bad they put me in a small room no toilet after 2 1/2 days I 2 cups of water I told them I'm going to check out can't handle this anymore well they put me in a room everything was just fine I give the nurses a 10 I give the ER a 0

It is the worst place ever they dont know how to attend and treat people i see the nurses just go on the room and like look at the person as long as they are alive they leave they dont even check them and they go back and sit down a start using their cellphone i wont recommend this place

My mother had hip surgery and I thought her care was great. When I found out that my Dr delivers there I was excited. Dr. Sundaram and the staff at labor and delivery went above and beyond the entire process. Mrs Maria from nights and Francis were awesome and made me feel very comfortable. They were super knowledgeable about everything we asked. They kept close communication with Dr. Sundaram about everything that was going on with my baby. Also the entire nursery team is awesome as well. They helped me and my husband as first time parents do a lot of the newborn stuff we weren't ready for. The lactation specialists also were extremely helpful. Thank you Bayshore Labor and Delivery you guys are awesome. Thanks to Dr. Sundaram as well. I couldn't have picked a better Dr to deliver my 1st born.

I felt right at home . My doctor shabnam chaugle was outstanding, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the facility was clean. If I ever need another surgery I know where I m going.

The service at this location is TERRIBLE! I visited on June 10, 2016 for pain in my lower stomach while 33 weeks pregnant with my third child. I arrived around 6:00pm. Upon entering the emergency room i was IMMEDIATELY sent to the second floor (labor and delivery.) There i was asked for the usual...urin sample and to undress. I was hooked up to monitors to monitor my baby. The nurse took my information and checked to see if i was dialated and pressed the area where i was having the pain and left while saying she was going to talk to the doctor. She came back an hr later stating that the doctor said he was not coming and that he said it was round ligament pain. I said no ma'am go get him because i need him to look at me and see what this pain is...this pain was in my stomach and not my ligaments! She left again and came back another 30 minutes saying that he "the doctor" said he was not coming. (no explanation as to why not) and if I wanted to be seen then go back to the emergency room and see if they could help me. So i did just that. Got checked in and was told by another doctor that i should have went to a different hospital because of who my primary was! She ordered me some meds and for me to be taken to get an ultrasound and MRI. While waiting i was given morphine and asked for a blanket whixh took 2 hrs to get. It took me a minute to catch on that i was being ignored then i was wheeled off for the ultra sound. Came back was given more morphine and wheeled off for the MRI. Came back and was discharged with no diagnosis and a prescription for Tylenol 3. I got dressed and noticed my purse was missing. No one wanted to roll back cameras and everywhere i had been wheeled ofd to was checked. So now im still waiting for my purse to show up and still no luck!!!

This was the WORST hospital I have ever been to. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I waited in the ER for over two hours, all the while listening to the nurses and receptionists cracking jokes back and forth and laughing obnoxiously. Oh, and one of the male nurses that was assisting me was from Africa I believe, and could not efficiently communicate with me. His accent made it literally impossible to understand a word he said. Then he acted like it was my fault that I couldn't understand him. Honestly, they did absolutely nothing to help me, besides draw blood and put me in a recliner in a room with a bunch of other people for a day and night. I later received a bill for almost $2,000. At the time, I had no income or insurance, so I called and asked them to please send me some financial aid papers to fill out because of my situation. I have now called them three times, each time them telling me "yeah, we will send those right out to you!" Then I repeated my address back to them. Low and behold, 5 weeks had gone by and no paperwork in the mail. Last time I called, I told them my concerns that my bill would be sent to collections and screw up my credit. They obviously don't care... I would recommend NEVER GOING TO THIS HOSPITAL.

I just wanted to take a moment and say that the care I received last night at Bayshore s 24-Hour EC was outstanding. I was taken to a room and treated right away. The doctor, nursing staff, radiology, lab and registration departments all were respectful and compassionate. Being in healthcare, I am proud to say that the staff have my upmost respect and appreciation!

I took myself to the ER this morning, I had been feeling sick for a little while now. Found out I am positive for Flu type A, but they were so ready and persistent on getting me out the door without treatment. Some lady came in and brought me discharge papers and a prescription for Motrin came back got them from me saying she should have given it to the nurse. I told the nurse I didn't want Motrin, I can't take it. (When I saw Dr Allen I told him I just saw my GI for gastritis and stomach issues. He totally ignored that). All this time I had been in a recliner with severe back pains, chest pains, headaches and a really bad cough. I asked about something to help treat the cough and antibiotics since I had a fever, something to help get well and not just treat the symptoms. All I got was a prescription for some cough medicine and thay were sending me home. The nurse is giving me discharge instructions saying, to come back to the to the ER if ... including a fever. Well she rechecks my vitals and my temperature went up to 101.8 and still got me out of there. Did not report to the physician, did absolutely nothing about it. I was told by another MD outside of Bayshore that as long as this has been and especially having a fever like this I need to be on antibiotics, because it's no longer viral it is bacterial and I could develop PNA. Dr Allen should have known that. My temp is still at 101.4 at 9pm. The best part of this is that I am a full time staff member at Bayshore. At my previous hospital that got destroyed because of the hurricane, we got treated as and got told we are VIP in the ER.

This hospital does not care about their patients. Nurses take forever to come when we call and are rude. We will never come here again!

This was my first surgery at the newly renovated HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast. The facility was excellent as was the staff. I personally had a very pleasant experience. I will definitely recommend this facility to all my friends and family.

Well I'm not going to lie like all you other people are doing by saying o how Bayshore is so good, we'll to be honest I hate bay kill ( Bayshore ) this want to be a hospital is a place to go to when no one is going to treat you for your problem, especially the stupid %&& want to be house supervisor. She is actually known by me and a lot of people as the house stupidvisor, I have no respect for the goon rent a cops and all the nps that think they are doctors , and for alam, mohamad monaural you are the BIGGEST FREAKIN QUACK, you said I was wondering what and why you freaking lied, first before you try to use the educational of malingering, learn what the hell it means, and that goes for that dumb @## want to be a np (becky) well I am as of tomorrow I will notify my insurance company to stop any recent or past bill, and then I'm going to notify fox 26 news and see how they think the hospital is a 3 ring circus with all the employees an how they do nothing to help patients, o and I'm also going to let the news know how yall fill all the rooms in the emergency room and put 10 or more beds in hallway, to be honest I think the news media and the state is going to love this case ect...... in a round about phrase, strike 1, strike 2, strike 3 and you are ??

I wish I could use the words I want to here but unfortunately I cant because I want people to be able to read this review. I have an infant and asked if I could fill out the paperwork in my car so I could unnecessarily avoid exposing my 3 day old newborn to a virus. No they absolutley would not let me, the baby had to be inside the extremely busy waiting room full of people. They have no heart and could care less about preventing the spread of coronavirus.

Ignorant rude staff and absouletly NO SOCIAL DISTANCING WHATSOEVER. TONS OF PATIENTS IN WAITING ROOMS 1 AND 2 FEET APART. STAFF IGNORES EVERYTHING!!!

I delivered my baby here last year and they treated me Amazing. Super nice and caring love the labor and deliver department.

After reading the reviews I was very skeptical about coming here. I had to bring my mom in Friday night. I was very pleased from the time we arrived until the time of discharge. Star was our nurse. Everyone we came across was very professional and polite.

I would give this "hospital" nothing if i could!! This place is a joke seriously god forbid you have a issue and it dont go away with antibiotics and you have to return they treat you like your drug seeking!!! I'm pregnant for christ sake and they sat there and talked about me in the hall way like I'm a damn dog!! Isn't that against hippa?? Anywho if you must go to bayshore go to the 24 hour bayshore on fairmont pkway atleast there they treat you as a PATIENT not someone coming in for dope!! BTW SO MANY HOSPITALS IN HOUSTON IF DRUG SEEKING IS WHAT I WAS DOING I WOULD NOT HAVE WENT BACK TO THE SAME DANG HOSPITAL THAT I KNEW CAN SEE THAT I WAS THERE 5 DAYS AGO!!!

Listen people some of yall migth have good experiences here but many people that i know have had really bad experiences. Multiple times i have been to this hospital 3 times and all three times after given them chances is a no!!!! Not doing theyre job rigth do not care for patients they give you medications that are not nessasary just to get money from i had one my worst experience here while i was pregnant i went in for a bladder infection then turned into a kidney infection they took blood after blood all my arms were poked up from everytime they came to get blood out they put bags after bags of medication not nessasary they never told me what was wrong with me they just couldn't figure it out it got to the point where my oxygen level was low!!!!! I could not breathe i was worried for my life the doctor came in he told me we have to put you in a induced comma i dont understand why ?? He said i had to because my organs where falling slowly because they were full of water in my lungs around my heart and my baby they did that to me because how else will they know without doing test xrays or checking me never ever did they check my heart or my lungs to know if i had that but they some how knew i called my mom told her what they wanted to do this was my 3rd day in the hospital my mom came she fougth with them to take me out they said like nothing if you take her she dies has soon has she walks out of here i felt horrible i almost stayed but i did not they made me signed a paper to leave because i was going to die i was so scared while signing crying i feared for my lif and my babys all that could go thru my mind was i dont want to die without meeting my baby anyways i endend uo leaving i could bearly breathe i went to the second nearest hospital southeast memorial herman they were all surprised with what i told them they did at bayshore they were omg what did they do !!!! The poked me for blood test took me in immediately because i was seriously bad they were going to put me an iv with medication until the noticed that i was full of water after doing xrays the water on my lungs and my heart was filling up my organs they put me on oxygen immediately when i got there i told them it was really hard to breathe they then told me is possible that we may have .To put you in and induced comma because all od that inside of you we have to drain it out they transfer me in emergency to downtown memorial childrens where i had to explain to them again evrytjing that had happen and they said the same thing omg i cant belive they did that to you they were not suppose to they asked which hospital to get all the stuff they put into me never ever did the bayshore send the stuff to them never they kept saying i wa never there smh dont tust this hospital with your childrens life!!! I will never ever go here again the own doctors do this to get money they benefit from all that is just sad and iam glad i spent a week on the hospitsl but thank god induced comma was not nessasary they drained it by putting medicine so i could pee it all out iam so grateful ian alive to share my story with yall so be aware please always ask what they are putting and why they gave me also 2 transfussions that supposedly where nessasary me fearing for my life i accepted them but was not nessasry i got a blood infection from that also that i still have and i stayed with problems of breathing and ptsd people please be careful and take this story i take this has a lesson and will neber ever go here again this need to be heard and this hospital need to be shut down!!!!! Till today it makes me sad that i had to go thru that when it was not nessasary at all i keep thinking if i wouldve stayed they wpuldve put me in a induced comma and i wouldn't of have a second option and i wouldve probly never woken up i thank god for my mom that took me out and thank god for giving me force to last that 15 minute ride when they told me i was going to die so harshly please take this and dont go there instead let those who been thru the same voices be heard!!! My experience,has been less than stellar.Some staff members very unprofessional.Laughing at patient while family member is on the phone.Lack of clear communication from staff.Hospital being understaffed to meet the needs of patients care.Lack of empathy for the family while their love one is being treatedthere.My Grandfather is there for treatment ,and I am horrified at the way his treatment is going.There needs to be and update in there training of the staff on how to better relate to the family members ,and give better care to patients with mental health issues.

This hospital staff saved my life..I really thought my Life was coming to the end..with the pain I was in.The Nurses and Doctor in ER..treated me with most care..I was in the hallway till I went surgery
But they took care of me..Then went to Surgery ..Dr.Gelbur and whole surgical team was absolutely hands down the Best Surgical Team..I was so scared and I felt like I had Angels. They saved my life..Then 3rd floor Post Surgery..The Best Nurses..Took care of me ..Look not a fancy hospital . Food is horrible ..but the Stafff Doctors Nurses ..The absolute best..and I will never forget them.

Moved her very fast and saved her life with ope heart surgery. The care was amazing very caring professional and very positive. We were there for alot of days due to procedures and they made it very easy stay.

Great staff, very professional and attentive. Equipment is next gen GE wireless smart network, these people know what they're doing and you can be rest assured that you're in good hands. Food is very good!

Everyone that I dealt with, from the nice lady who signed me in for surgery to the whole nurse staff, were the best people I could have hoped to have a surgery with. I am happy I went to HCA Southeast for my surgery.

If I could give a minus zero stars I would. The ER department at this location is terrible. Quality of care should be the most important thing when dealing with patients. Everyone is very rude. HIPAA laws arent followed. While sitting in this holding area I witnessed the very inconsiderate and rude Nurse Practitioner discuss 2 patient diagnoses with each patient in front of all of us and berate a set of parents over their childs illness. I was treated poorly also. This same NP rudely handed a specimen cup and threatened to catheter me if I couldn't give her an adequate specimen. The nurses are basically moving the patients along like cattle. In the process of this catheter procedure after having been informed 3 times of my iodine allergy the nurse turns to me and says you're not allegic to iodine because that's what I have to clean the area with. She tried unsuccesfully 2 times to perform this procedure causing me unnecessary discomfort then went to discuss my case infront of a room full of people where my husband was standing also. I then proceded to say I didnt want the procedure to be informed that the NP was coming to talk to me because I wasnt cooperating. I left untreated and very embarrassed. I have been a patient at Bayshore various times in the ER and other depts and I have never experienced this unsatisfactory treatment. I am dissaponited and will be looking for a different place for sure. I will also looking into reporting with whatever agency handles protocol and HIPAA issues.

Its not the best hospital... I have a friend who had her first born here, she was in a lot of pain and i did not appreciate acomment from a nurse that has no children herself made.(" why are you crying, you know you're about to give birth? This is nothing from what you will experience. ") it seems like a stupid reason to give this hospital low stars. But from a person that has never had children, a person that is supposed to help you ease your pain and support you to the best of their extent. I think this was a rude and unecessary comment.

My father s doctor recommended this hospital to have a procedure done. We had never been to this hospital before but I have heard horrible things about it so I was nervous. I almost took him to another hospital because I was so worried. However, from the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly. Our nurses (Mary Ann and Jennifer) were so caring and attentive to my father. The nurses were not only kind to us but to each other so the environment was very light which is hard to do in a hospital. As my father was having his procedure done, I roamed the halls looking for food. Everyone I encountered from nurses, maintenance and security guards were very friendly. They all greeted me and even pointed me in the direction of the cafe or back to my father s room. The hospital is now HCA and seems to be going through some remodels. The change seems to be good and I now won t be hesitant to visit if needed..hopefully not though.

I checked my self in and from the door bad experience in the e.r, if someone comes in for mental health the treat you like nobody!! Then they send you down the hall to there lock unit where there very unprofessional!!! People are already filling down for the nurses to sit and talk about you is very sad, you might not no the reason a person has no insurance are going through what they are..

WORST PLACE EVER.
I went in to get treated because someone broke a bottle on my head causing me to bleed. I waited almost 8 hours before I got any kind of treatment. I was sitting there just bleeding and bleeding and no one attended me! Come on now, I could have passed out from all the blood I was losing! While getting treated I got stupid rude remarks from the staff. There was nothing used on me to numb the pain of the staples they put on my head, I felt every bit of it. They spoke very unprofessionally & have no honest clue wth they are doing. Had I known it was going to take so long for me to get treated for a head injury, I would have left. Never again will I go here. This place is an absolute joke and I pray to God that it gets shut down.

Professional, courteous staff. All necessary care was attended to in a timely matter. Respiratory staff members were outstanding! Nursing staff for 3rd floor were very prompt and caring.

Denied to see me unless I paid $300 up front when I was really sick and got told I had a viral infection. I go to a medical clinic the next day with the same symptoms and tested positive for the flu and have an upper respiratory infection. I had to miss 2 days from work before I went to the er.

Not the best service! My father was seen by a nurse practitioner. The Dr. never came to assess him.
In the other hand, the nurses are great.

Horrible my little nephew was stitched up with a splinter inside him we they didnt even bother to clean it up he came home with a blody foot we took him to texas childrens and they took care of him but do not bring your children here danderous place.

All the nurses on the 4th floor where i was for over a week were wonderful, and the wound care/ physical therapy nurse did good too. No complaints

I gave birth to my daughter 24 yrs ago at Bayshore and now on Valentine's day (2019) my 24 yr old just gave birth to a baby boy. The nurses and staff are amazing!! My daughter had complications after the birth and the nurses were so attentive despite other women giving birth. Then a nurse noticed right away my daughter looked feverish and sure enough she was. My daughter had to stay in labor and delivery longer than usual until she was well. My grandson is very healthy and now my daughter is doing great. My daughter's Dr. ( Dr. Subha Sundaram) is the best Dr I would ever recommend, you would love her. She gets TEN star's!

My grandma went to bayahore and before knowing ANY kind of information, they gave her morphine (even though she told them she was not in pain ) all while her blood pressure was 74/40. When I get to the hospital, I see that she is not hooked up to ANY monitor. Nothing monitoring her bp even though it is extremely low...their explanation "we check bp every 4 hours"...we were there for 3 hours before anyone came and checked on my grandma..and when they did it was only because we asked them to, we wanted answers. MOST of the nurses, including hers, were very rude. Had an attitude as if we were bothering them with our questions. Still have no answers and she's been in her room for 24 hours. Hasn't even been seen by a doctor yet.

This is the sorriest excuse of a hospital you can have.

Bayshore makes too many mistakes... gave them chance after chance but when they told me on the phone that my mother had a heart attack then to find out she didnt.. and told her she has diabetes and tried to give her meds for that..she DOES NOT have diabetes.. and let's not forget them trying to give a 69 yr old bloodthinners which she suffers from a stomach disease! And kept in the hallway on a gurney most of the time.. Pasadena needs a good hospital that people can trust!
On a good note 1 nurse Ms.Agnus took the time to call me back and explain things the best she could.. she was a very kind lady. But the doctor they had on duty that night needs to go back to medical school and Learn patients lives are in his hands!!
Update: 2018 Took my son in there who was very sick thought the place was empty and thought we would get in quick but soon found out why it was empty they re not taking anybody. They did some quick vitals on my son who is very congested said his lungs were clear. Refused even with us having insurance To see my child. I had to take him to an urgent care off Fairmont And come to find out he had fluid s in one of his lungs. Bayshore continues to go down the hill And they just don t care anymore about people. Wouldn t go to this hospital For any reason ever again and I ve been in Pasadena all my life. Very disappointed
Update November 2018. My son called an ambulance for me it s severe insomnia and Anxiety disorder. Bayshore has went down over the years so bad it s unreal. I went in there a few weeks ago from insomnia and a panic attack. They Humiliated me and even had an armed guard there! I was not suicidal I was not making a big scene! They had a nurse go into the restroom with me to change clothes I ve never went through anything like this before. They told me I needed to talk to some woman on the TV they put me in a psych ward with people that were exposing their self and very violent. They put my life at risk. Bayshore is a joke and I would crawl under a bridge before I would ever ever go back to that hospital again!!!! The only crazy people in that hospital is the staff.. smh

My mom was a patient on the 3rd floor and had an awful experience no ever came to assist with her bath, no one came to change her bed ... we wait for a portable oxygen to be discharged and it took 4 days to receive it which was awful and the 3floor case manager is terrible... I will be calling my insurance to reports the 4 days that we wait for the oxygen that they shouldn t pay....I don t recommend this hospital for no one....

I thought this place was the bomb, but it ain't. I came a while back and was taken care of. I was glad I came out quickly. Well I came yesterday night and waited a long time to get a room yeah I was seen by triage real quick but this time it wasn't the same. They told me I had to stay overnight due to having a blood clot in my lung which was a lie.

I would give a 5 star, but around 2 months ago my son was not seen when he had a bad cough and cold,saying it was a virus..it wasn't,had to take him until the next day to his Dr.prescribed antibiotics. Btw the young lady in the front desk was so rude saying "Just take him to school", even though my son had 3 controlled fever with iboprophen.

I had my baby here in July! Dr. Ocon was my phsycian and he delivers at this location. I had a scheduled csection. I had a very good experience. From being admitted, the surgery, and then recovery. I did have two nurses I didn't really care for. I myself work in the health field. So I understand working with 5+ patients on a shift can be difficult. However I felt that being late on medication, especially if I called, and forgetting certain things is kind of a big deal. My nursery nurse for the first night was also not helpful. Having a C-section meant I was stuck in the bed for 24hrs and needed rest. She wouldn't even let me have a break for a few hours to rest. I understand they do that rooming in deal at this hospital. It was however difficult to do after having such a huge surgery.

Worst hospital EVER! My grandfather was seen by this hospital or 2 weeks and each day he was worst and worat we didnt see any progress. I had to check him against medical advice asap because he would only get worst and worst. Do yourself a favor and don't even enter this hospital it's horrible. You can't speak to the doctor whenever you want, when nurses change shift they have no clue on what's going on. Once I checked him out of this hospital I took him to another hospital right away and he was seen immediately and now his so much better. Don't let your love one pass away in this so called hospital.

Nurses were very nice,they get 5 stars, especially my night nurse Ginu. But warn your visitors of the homeless looking beggars in the parking lots. My mother, and my girlfriend, were scared for there life because of two subjects ( one black man, and one hispanic man) harrassing them on multiple occasions. Security here is a joke! Tell your loved one to beware or stay away completely!

This hospital doesn t even deserve 1 star. Took three doctors to sign the deaths certificate till they got the right doctor that was registered with the state. They should be reported. Absolutely horrible experience. Do not go to this hospital with your loved ones. My sister passed away in The ICU I it and it was horrible. They dnt care about the patient or the family. As they ran a Code on sister the nurse said isnt this exciting . Absolutely horrible experience and this hospital should be closed. Please don t take your loved One there

Its a little bit better, that it isn't Bayshore, anymore. The Nurses, my husband got, were awesome... The Neurologist, on the other hand, didnt seem to intrested, in my husbands case... She did her job, atleast...
Use to they really didnt do much, but stabilize him, and send him on his way..

I went to the stand alone location on Fairmont I have to say nurse Kelly was really great as always this wasn t the first time she s taken care of me and my kids on different visits and is always so helpful and sweet, she is a wonderful nurse....

Blare in labor & delivery was great had so much patients with me . Thanks for helping our family God bless you.

Nrought my mother in dor sever pain. We got here at 11am , its now 2am and ive only seen the nurse twice and still waiting for a bed. I went to look for a nurse and see patients in beds in the hallway and the nurses on there phones . I don't recommend this hospital.

Anna was a fantastic nurse! There was a lot of craziness going on and I was stuck in a corner because there wasn t much room available but she made me feel taken care of. Excited for her and her growing family!!

By far the worse. To many young people that keep messing with others than focusing on patients. But for those doing their job please get out this hospital. It's horrible

Friendly staff but the attending physician changed my meds.

They were very nice and they care about all of their patients. Great job staff and doctor DR Caldwell is a Great Doctor.

My wife came here with a broken toe. They X-rayed it and told her there was nothing they cold do for her but a piece of tape on it. They don't cast that area and she needed to see an orthopedic surgeon. . She told them she at least needed something more supportive like a boot for her foot so she could at least try to walk and drive. They said they didn't understand why she needed it and refused. She practically had to beg and finally they gave her one that was very poorly made and not supportive. When she asked the doctor what she needed to do for it he just ignored her, turned to the nurse to tell them she'll just need some crutches or something, and walked out of the room. . Then they told her our insurance wouldn't cover crutches so she would need to buy them and gave her the location of a place she could get them. She was barely able to get them to give her a supportive shoe that didn't really help. Later after calling the insurance we found out that they DID cover the crutches and they told us all they needed to do was fax the prescription. When she called them back they gave her the run around saying they couldn't do that because the doctor wasn't there and they don't fax. They put her on hold for 20 minutes and then hung up. She called back and then they hung up in her face. Places like this are a disgrace to health care and the people like this don't know the meaning of it. They should find a job that doesn't require them to take care of people, because clearly they don't know how. We will NEVER come here again and everybody we know will hear about this terrible experience so they can avoid being treated this way.

I was recently on the 3rd floor post surgical unit for 3 days recovering. The care i received was top notch. I was keep in the loop on my plan of care as well as my pain medication management. They have these communication boards in the room that keeps you up to date on who your nurse, nurse assistant, doctor, and consulting doctors are as well as what pain medication you can have and the time you can have it. I was very impressed. My pain control was a top priority and i really appreciated that. Keep up the great work.

Can I give this hospital a negative star. While my son was taken to the emergency room I was en-route from east texas. His phone was dying and I was trying to talk to him. When I called back to the emergency room, "Jessica" told me I needed a security code to talk to him. I asked her where I got a security code, she told me it was on his wrist band and that his nurse would help him find it. Don't know who is "nurse" was but she did not help him find it. I had to wait until a friend showed up and loaned him his phone so he could call me. Also with a broken rib are you suppose to have the patient get on and off gurney's. And how about those Dr's. I'm surprised this place hasn't been sued. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE bedside manner. As soon as I find out who runs this place I'm sending them a strongly worded e-mail. Stay away, travel farther, this place will kill you.

Loved my experience in Labor/Delivery & Postpartum! My favorite nurses were Danielle, Christina, & Katrina.
The nursery women were amazing as well. Very happy with my stay.

Worse hospital ever!! I have my father( dementia patient) at the gereatric psych unit there..this is his 3rd time being admitted. I am now in the process of getting him transferred to methodist hospital. The social workers there are of no help and even when filing a complaint nothing gets resolved.I am, fed up with this hospital and do not recommend to even a dying person.

This Hospital is super unorganized with incompetent employees. My bf had an auto accident, and provided his insurance information the day of entry. Now the bill was sent to collections. We called multiple times, and they refused to be responsible for this, and will not bill the insurance themselves. Why took our insurance in the first place if you guys are not going to bill it?

Everytime we called, the billing departments are reluctant to help, and also gave us a stinking attitude. At this point, I dont know if the person who took my bf's information is at fault since there were no listing of any insurance information, because he didnt seem to know what he was doing, or the Billings department is lying, and didnt do there job filing paperwork properly.

If this is not going to get resolve in few weeks, we are going to take it up to our lawyer or a small claims court.

He gave a satisfactory service. The workers were very friendly and did a great job taking care of me. The wait was very long but it happened very fast. The establishment is very accessible. I highly recommend visits there for medical needs and would return.

The staff that cared for us during labor and delivery was awesome, Nurse Lorell was as sweet as can be. The only thing that made the visit a little more difficult was being used as a pin cushion for blood draws and having 2 sets of covid test results delayed due to misinformation. But over all the care the team provided was great.

This hospital,HCA,is one of the best hospitals there are here in Houston,all the nurses and front desk staff and everyone that works here are sooo attentive to patients,they give you all the care you need,I personally felt I was taken care of so nurturing,I definitely recommend anyone to come here for your health needs,you won t regret it,thank you to all the nurses for doing an amazing job taking care of patients here,God bless all of you!

The most inept billing department in the state. It took 7 months for the billing department to figure out how to bill my insurance correctly, then they threatened to put my account in collection because it was "Passed due". I STILL have not recieved a bill for the actual amount that I owe. I was told I could go down to their local office and get it, if I want. Customer service people are lazy and do not followup when they tell you they will! Do not trust they will do what they say they will do. They simply do not care about you or that they have made a mistake. If they tell you they have documented your phone call you can bet they didn't. I have proved that by calling back immediately after hanging up. I will NEVER go to another facility that is affiliated or related to Bayshore Medical again. NEVER. I would just asoon die then go back there!!

I would love to give the Dialysis team 100 stars if I could! Especially Andrew!!! He is the most caring and professional technician that we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. My husband had to go to the hospital for dialysis and Andrew came down to the ER 3 times to check on him. His team is so wonderful and I just wanted to reach out to say thank you

It's the worst hospital. People are so rude and staff are so rude like rude. Not a great service due to the staff they have infornt. Only one parent is allow wow never I had a problem at any other hospital. Took my kid and left they don't need my money or insurance.

We had a wonderful experience at Bayshore Medical....they took us straight in and to the back where started trying to find out what is going on with my wife...even without insurance they never hesitated to help her....Thank you again to Dr. Allen and the great nurses.....

Care beyond terrible.. In ER room for 4 hours... Never checked on by nurse.. A dump!!

Loooooong wait time! My dad EGD was scheduled at 1pm, received a phone call a day in advance that the procedure is moved to 8:30am so we have to be there at 7:00am. But we still have to wait till 1pm for the procedure. Unnecessary wait time!

Real Bad service. My iv came off twice and they came back hours later. They never informed me of what was going on. I spend 4 days in the hospital and asked for a private room because the room i was sharing was very small and they wouldnt let anyone stay with me. never listened to me. But all the patients i was sharing my room with asked for a private room and they got it right away. Even though they were getting discharge the same day. I didnt asked for a big fancy room. All i wanted a room for my concern family to be able to visit me and my husband tobe by my side in this rough time. I know i will never come back to this hospital ever.

The emergency waiting time is ridiculous. My 3 yr old son fell and open the back of his head. We waited for 3 hrs until they passed him to a room. They injected lidocaine and put 3 staples, lidocaine takes about a minute to kick in. The Dr. didn t wait not even 5 seconds I had to yell at him to stop. It s ridiculous stupid. Never going back there again.

I rather die than go to bayshore next time worse hospital in pasadena.

I didn t like it at all I was waiting on my breakfast for five hours. To the point where I had to call the manger about the problem. I always didn t like some of the nurses I wouldn t recommend this hospital to anyone.

Horrendous crooks and a disgrace to humanity. I was admitted to Bayshore medical center and first they injured me severely during my surgery that needed me steroids to contain my pain and discomfort. And on top of that had the nerve to over bill me and keep sending me bills with co-pays that surpassed my maximum deductible for the year. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS !

I had went to a different ER they diagnosed me with gallbladder disease I called bayshore to see if they would do the surgery since it's closer to home. The lady on the phone told me there is no such thing as a gallbladder or gallstones I said yes there is I have the paper she said whatever hospital you went to don't know what their doing....... I just laughed as hard as I could and hung up. If they are that dumb on the phone I hate to see how dumb they really are in person.... WILL NEVER USE THAT HOSPITAL EVER!!!!!!

Inhumane. Violated multiple laws. We need a better hospital for our community.
