Such a pretty place in the middle of nowhere. Gorgeous dark and milk chocolate. We visited during the summer and ordered more for Christmas. But wouldn't recommend the mint hot chocolate unless you absolutely love mint, it overpowers the chocolate flavour.

I visited in February of 2020 and I couldn't believe it, the best chocolate I have ever had! There was a small tour that went through the bean to bar process and how simple and pure their ingredients are. I brought back (to the US) a jar of the hazelnut spread (nutella has nothing on this!), a large slab to share with coworkers, and a box of whiskey truffles for a gift.... turns out the power was too strong and the truffles turned into a gift for me. I recent ordered a couple jars of the hazelnut spread (seriously, it's that good) and a few bars for sharing over the holidays. While it was more than I had ever spent before I will gladly do it again because this place is THAT GOOD! I live in the Washington DC area and haven't found a chocolate company that can compete with Hazel Mountain Chocolate on a little road in Ireland. AND, they have a lot of vegan options.

Lovely interior to relax and have a homemade cake and hot chocolate. All cakes come gluten-free and the carrot cake and berry tart are delicious (all others we will try another time). The chocolatier in the shop was a lovely man who was full of passion for the chocolate they were making. He gave us samples of every single kind of chocolate they sell and told us about the beans they use and how they process them. You can see the production on site, in a beautifully presented, open factory. The chocolate is not cheap, but has a very high quality! You can not compare it to cadbury's - just like you wouldn't compare a Mercedes to a Hundai ;) We are definitely visiting again!

Stopped here for a look around and ended up having a hot chocolate. There is a great selection of cakes and even different types of hot chocolate. The shop and factory are a nice addition

A great stop between Galway and the cliffs. Fantastic food, cakes and most importantly chocolate. Would strongly recommend a stay that includes lunch as food is fantastic, all organic produce with gluten free options. This should be a compulsory stop for people travelling through the Burren. Will be back!

My wife and I stopped by Hazel Mountain Chocolate randomly on our way down the Wild Atlantic Way. We were on our honeymoon, and wanted to see the small gems that Ireland has to offer. I don t exaggerate when I say that this was one of the finest establishments we visited in the country. Without hesitation, we were beckoned in by the master Chocolatier (whose name escapes me) and taught all the intricacies of chocolate making. He did not hesitate to open packages of their incredible chocolate off the shelf and give us samples. To him, and all the employees there, guests learning about the process of chocolate making comes before a profit. We felt like family there, and even as I sit on my couch in Kentucky, months later, the taste of Hazel Mountain Chocolate brings me back to that wonderful, quaint afternoon where my wife and I were welcomed by the best that Ireland has to offer.

Diamond in the rough. Often went past the signs for this place, then finally stopped in. A very pleasant surprise. Free samples, lead to a few extra purchases. The owner described all about the different chocolates that he sold. Very good, a little pricey, but well worth it.

Trying to order products online. Previously charged 3.95 and then 5 euros for postage from Clare to Dublin. Recent order is 12 euros which seems very excessive. Trying to find out if it s an error. No response to multiple email and tried to phone with no success. Very disappointed Update; finally sorted out and mistake rectified. Got a very swift delivery of delicious dark hazelnut chocolate spread

Great at the corner of the road, lost in the middle of the countryside, discover this chocolate-smelling chocolate like I had never felt. A delight of smells, of taste because with the explanations we had the joy of More

located just off the route to the cliffs of moher, this quaint little shop has some of the best chocolate I've ever tasted. the craft shop is easy to maneuver and the gentleman working in the chocolate shop was very knowledgeable of his craft. He explained how they make the chocolate in their shop and a bit of history as well. the stop is certainly worth it if you are able to on your way out.

Cafe and chocolate manufacur. Next door the glass chocolate factory. Noble chocolates and everything around them. Prices are also noble. A bar of chocolate for 5.50 euros - but delicious.

The minute we walked in, we got that lovely, comforting smell of chocolate. It s a lovely place and we were shown exactly how the whole manufacturing process operates. It s so good to see an independent Irish business like this. Cost wise there s something there for everyone and I d prefer to give my money to an independent company like this rather than one of the big corporations. The coffee shop is great as well. Well worth a visit

It's beautiful, the surroundings, the building etc. Our tour guide Katie (pictured) was lovely and informative. Lovely way to pass a hour and very tasty chocolate. Due to covid the cafe only does takeaway beverages and selected baked goods for you to have either outside or take back to your car. Again very tasty. I enjoyed it, along with my boyfriend, I would recommend it.

Truly a diamond in the rough! It's out in the middle of no where but absolutely worth every minute. The story behind the factory, the atmosphere, the chocolate, the food was all more than expected. Being cash as trying to run a card can be difficult with the hole out in the middle of no where but trust me if you love chocolate in all its glory you'll enjoy everything this hole in the wall shop has to offer!

a very cozy and nice place. It has a cafe and then in the back the chocolate factory and shop. All the deserts are handmade and the chefs are very nice and funny. The hot chocolate is delicious.

Killers stuff for this location. Brownies won the competition and will come back for more. Small place but great to drop in if you are in the area. Loved the attention to detail (no plastic spoons for example).

Amazing chocolate shop located in the middle of nowhere. The minute we walked in the door the smell had us drooling. Very friendly staff. We bought a number of bars and then got some cakes and hot chocolate from the cafe. The salt and honey hot Choc was the best I've ever had.
