Service was grand, coffee okay but not outstanding. Disappointed about menu choices. Only cake available. Nothing else on the menu, so I opted out. The other members of the family had carrot cake and said it was nice, but everything had too much sugar in it for an early morning tea break. Very pricey too for what it was. 20 for pieces of cake, 2 coffees and a tea. I wouldn't rush back.

Found this hidden gem on the way to Cliffs of Moher. Absolutely LOVED the chocolate experience and will recommend to family and friends. Giles was an expert in his field, warm, welcoming, passionate, entertaining, and a guy who truly cares about his work and wants to share it with others. One might even go as far as calling him a chocolate magician. It was a pleasure meeting him.

BUT, the unfortunate part of this experience was the cafe. The owner of the cafe turned our trip from sweet to bitter. While waiting for our take away beverages, we were browsing the seating area (which was absolutely empty except for the owner). We were paying customers purchasing lattes from the cafe and got scolded for taking photos. This is not a museum were her exact words. Rude and unwelcoming. Too bad her sour disposition ruined the beauty of the cafe and an otherwise lovely experience. The rest of the cafe staff were pleasant and accommodating. Would have given this a 5 star because of Giles, but the service provided by the owner was a disappointment.

We stopped in here very early one damp and dreich morning. It was quite by accident as we were going to drive past, but so glad we stopped. Due to covid restrictions we couldn't sit in the cafe as it was take away only, but that was grand as we had our delicious hot chocolates to take away and were treated to a quick tour around where they make the chocolate and then had a good look around the chocolate shop and gift shop. The staff were lovely and more than accommodating even though we were very early! Well worth stopping by for a chocolate or a coffee. We will no doubt be back when we are down that way again.

It is a small place but it smells amazing inside. The staff were very friendly. Im not a big fan of chocolate, but my wife certainly enjoyed the stop. The surrounding area is beautiful. The restrooms were very nice.

I had been at the shop, that is to die for with all those gorgeous chocolates, but the coffee shop with the delicious soup and the awesome cakes and hot chocolate should be a must for every body visiting or living around the Burren.

Very cool experience. Beautiful location. I had a very helpful guide, had an experience of tasting lots of different chocolates and full descriptions of each. You can watch the chocolate making process too which is unique.
Highly recommended.

Highly recommended indeed and lots of enthusiasm from my side to discover one of the surely most remote chocolate factories in the world. I had a selection of their work, it was okay, quite overrated really but a novelty in the middle of nowhere that s certain.
As I said the chocolate was just okay apart from the chocolate fudge where the taste was okay but the texture horrendous. My advice to them would be to continue to explore and learn from others and not be self satisfied, go out there and see what others are doing. To be fair it is very improbable, but courageous, for an Irish man to make chocolate. It takes generations to perfect, so it s simply not going to happen out of the blue. But well done on presentation and how to make the most of tourists but improve your very mediocre chocolate.

Delicious cake and fantastic service in the cafe - very good quality chocolate in the shop and great to be able to see and smell the chocolates being made and helpful, unpushy staff, keen to help and let us try some of the chocolates - which we then bought.
We stopped here by chance - now that we have found it - we'll be back!

Super cute little shop. Had small area of goods (local pottery and wools). Chocolate shop with samples to taste and explained the differences of caoco from different origins. Fabulous hot chocolate flavors.

The chocolate tasted like ash trays after a Saturday night in Aeyre square. No hint of fruitiness in the chocolate as described by the chocolate-er. Everything over priced compared to cadburys tasted like ash trays go to petrol station get yourself a dairy milk.
