Skagit Valley Food Co-Op Review

I live 30 mins away... but still prefer to do ALL of my grocery shopping here. Plus, since it is a CO-OP, you end up getting a tax return from the IRS, depending on how much you spent there! I got $60 in store credit this summer. Which was just a bonus, because the co-op is the only place I really like to get my produce, and just about everything else. I love the co-op! Been in love since the first time I went there.

Great Place to Shop, Eat and Meet Friends. Great Prices and Fresh and Frozen Foods.

Love the fresh produce/bread and some premade food. Large vitamin and supplement area. Also the fresh herbs outside we're really nice.

Good food just very pricey but they treat their employees well.

Organics, bulk foods, dark fresh fruits and vegetables. Great place.

This is a big co-op, two floors, with wonderful produce and a reasonably priced water machine. Has a cafe inside. You can't order a custom smoothie, which is bonkers. A lot of snooty kids working there that are not nice or helpful or knowledgable. Only one of the adults working there acknowledged me while I was exploring, just making eye contact and saying "Hello." Like I said, it's a big place, and there were lots of people working, adults and teenagers, and no one asked if I needed help with anything. Prices are normal for a co-op, so not great. Parking is a pain. The lot is super tiny, meaning quite a number of parking spots in a super tiny, cramped space. You have to be very careful parking and unparking that you don't hit another parked car, power lines, or the flood of people going in/out. It's a busy place. It's very tight inside, too, and at least three different people while I was there left their carts blocking an entire aisle or part of the store while they were off somewhere else looking for stuff, which means blocking that whole aisle or part of the store they were standing in, too. So the whole vibe of this place is super snooty/entitled, which is a shame for a co-op. But they carry almost everything I shop for, so if I start working in the area, I'm sure I'll be a regular shopper, but I'll just know not to expect nice people or good service.

Everything you want in a local grocery store. Seasonal fresh produce, a fully stocked grocery store, a made-to-order deli, and a gift shop. I find the prices to be great and they have good sales too. Plus, they give back to the community! Plenty of parking in the back lot.

I love this place and stop at it whenever I'm going to the tulip fields or beyond further north in Washington. Great selection of Deli Foods and groceries and wines. Nice people too.

A great experience. If you have never been here, this is another must go see kind of place in the north Puget Sound region. This store has so many cool things, original things, great foods to try, and more to buy to take home.

I have been coming here for over five years now and love getting the specialty foods that I need as well as great, local produce, artisan, handmade goods and raw dairy. A+++

Great grocery store offering lots of products from local farms and producers. The deli puts out a delicious sandwich too. Parking can be tough and the store gets crowded but worth the stop if you are driving though town

Completely love this place! Go here everyday when we go to my brothers in Mt Vernon! Best food..salad bar, ice cream, coffee, cupcakes (sooo good) all the food is healthy and quality! Kids love this place too!

The customer service is excellent, there is always someone around to answer a question or help locate a particular item

This place is amazing. Have you ever wanted a way to eat your favorite foods without having to worry about what's in it? Well, here all of the food and produce is entirely ORGANIC. So, less additives and chemicals that are genetically engineered. Bring in the healthy!

Difficult to park at. Great selection but like all organic stores it is pricey.

It's a nice place to eat and shop organic food at reasonable prices. The food here is tasty and we really enjoyed it.

Whenever I'm driving through Northern Washington, I always love stopping here. They have good snacks, good food at the deli, and amazing coffee.

High quality products just parking is the little issue in this place.

Nice grocery selection, high quality. I have been to the deli two times and didn't finish my meal either time. The soup was very bland and the bread on the sandwich overpowered everything else that was on it.

The merchandise is spread out well. It keeps the store from feeling crowded.

Lovely stop on the way too Bellingham. Great food, nice staff and cute gift store upstairs. Wish there were more gluten free options in the hot foods case but that's okay we'll keep coming for all the other great things.

Cafeteria food is just ok but they have some very yummy bakery items.

If I could give a higher star I would I love going in there I know that I'm getting good quality local food at a very good price. I love the banana card for my kids they can be snacking on something while we're shopping so they're not trying to buy a bunch of stuff that we don't need. I love the fact that they have a section for gluten-free cookies in their Bakery section and they're really good. The guys in the meat department are awesome we have had them special cut roasts for us for Christmas and New Year's and Easter and they're always so willing to do that I've called and asked questions and they are very knowledgeable about their products. What some people don't know is they have a Mercantile upstairs where you can find all different kinds of really cool things I go up there and I kind of get lost in all the cool stuff. I do a lot of essential oils and they have little glass containers that are great for traveling so I don't have to take my big bottle with me.

Small farming community Co-Op, lots of fresh, organic vegetables and grass feed meat. They make their own bratwurst and sausage. Good wine and Mico Brew selection and a great eat in deli. Store has a very cool vib to it.

Lots of healthy organic natural foods and other items! Great deli and bakery! Great place gor breakfast or lunch. I gave it 4 stars because they need to expand and because their prices are so high!

Prices too high... It's just a store for people who think to be cool and are happy to be robbed

I feel extremely uncomfortable here. Also the soup has too much lemon. As if they took soup, peed in it, and squeezed a whole lemon.
I also saw Elizabeth warren coming out of the bathroom.

Great local co-op. Unfortunately it's becoming more and more corporate like whole foods. It gets boring quick when you start seeing the same set up and same products at these stores selling from larger companies rather than local.

The Skagit Valley Co-op is one of my favorite coops for gifts, their Mercantile area cannot be beat truly unique and colorful items all the time

Great produce, great selection of packaged health foods, and great selection of prepared foods in deli. Nice selection of dry goods kids toys, clothes, and books upstairs.

Awesome experience every time though the manager could lighten up on the outside public mainly the homeless that fly signs , have a little compassion , i agree if theyre dealing drugs thats a problem , but not all homeless use drugs or are bad people , bad things happen to good people as well .

This is a great place to get organic food and specialty items. It's a bit pricier than most grocery stores, but the quality and diverse selection makes up for the higher prices.

This place has always been great, ever since I was a little kid. I loved buying an ice cream cone with my coffee during my last visit. My son didn't even mind because he liked his smoothie so much.

I love this place - the atmosphere - the LDH vibe (later day hippie), the selection that is quality and deep, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, excellent coffee, good food, the best bulk selection anywhere.

Classy place for healthy foods, and the upstairs is a fabulous place to look if you need a gift and don't have ideas. It can be more pricey than seems fair to me, though.

I live this place. They have a lot packed into this little space. Take your time to explore.

The whole store has a very relaxed atmosphere. It's nice to shop and 4th be rest with a hot cup of tea.

This is a great place to get some yummy vegetarian or vegan friendly food.

Cool little local market. Lots of variety and locally produced products. Great sandwiches and short order dining. It's a little small but definitely worth stopping in. Everyone there was friendly and helpful.
