There's only 3 casinos in Tahoe, Harrahs i consider is the best including Peek (nightclub).

After playing for a while in Harrah's over the St. Patty's weekend, we realized we had not yet been offered a drink. After patiently waiting a while longer, we bought a couple of Screwdrivers from a friendly bartender named Henry, at the California Bar Tahoe ($8 each, for a small version) and walked through the tunnel, past Cabo Wabo, and straight into Harvey's, where we played all night long on their machines, with much faster drink service.
We had the same service in the slot area at Harrah's both Friday and Saturday night; more or less nonexistent. They have some of the games I like, but overall the crowd was much more fun across the street all weekend long! And all we did after leaving Harrah's was win (win, win, and win more!!!) and get free drink refills - cannot beat that.
It's alright. Went to play roulette and the floor is as expected, crammed full of slot machines, cigarette smoke in the air, and the infamous dirty red carpet.
Amazing bar in the basement with live music. Casino was packed and lively. Felt like Vegas without having to be there.
Clean rooms didn't smell bad either would statly again
Casino was nice and bright. I did not stay the night, but saw that the prices were very reasonable for the holiday weekend
Guys, think about it. You book a value room and you want a decent room with lake view and other amenities? Think about it. If you stay away from value room then of course you will have an amazing stay here.
Got a massage at the Reflections Spa. Amazing sauna, jacuzzi, and dry sauna + really helpful spa attendants. Massage was ok, not great, tho other colleagues really liked theirs.
Cabo Wabo Bar was a great place for Sunday night drinks. Bartender was the highlight of our evening. She was hilarious and kept us entertained!
We used the arcade which was dirty and many games did not work
Greedy slots, a food court with expensive yet bad food and smelling of weed everywhere, the hotel itself is not a great choice. Location however is great, next to the lake and Heavenly village with the gondola up to the mountain. In total, an expensive place for a vacation but skiing on that mountain is awesome.
Very attentive, great help with all my need. Saff very freindly, will go out of their way to help. Can not wait for my next time here.
Great food and great place to work. All you need is Harvey's next door and BAM!!!! Winner winner chicken dinner
Harrah's Lake Tahoe is fantastic. They are experts in customer service.
Stayed here many times when in Tahoe for ski, good price, not a five star hotel and some parts are outdated, but worth it, otherwise it would cost more. Casino is ok, and restaurants aren't much, but plenty near by, staff is always nice.
We went to eat to Fat Burger, great place, nice casino and big parking. The restrooms are huge!
Harrah is a nice casino and the rainforest Buffett is great, but every casino is charging for parking, it's $25 for non guests and $20 for guests if you arrive between about 8 am and around 8 pm, after 8 pm there is nobody collecting money, so be sure to park your vehicle before 8 am and do not move it or if you do leave do not return until after 8 pm that way you will be able to park with out being charged
The room was nice, and the staff was very friendly. Hotel is very close to shopping, food, and site seeing. Spa services were great. The casino was nice too, and the machines seemed well kept. Only issue was our room being void of any humidity - I got 2 nosebleeds from how dry the room air was.
Went to the Forest Buffet on the 18th floor for the Friday night seafood buffet. A lot of variety including crab, shrimp, oysters, prime rib, Chinese food, and Sushi. All good. Great selection of desserts too.
First time and it sucked. Rip off and bar is way over priced
Been coming here for many years there is always an awesome experience to be had it Harrah's
Right next to heavenly, great for apres ski gambling and drinks
People are very welcoming and kind. They always greet each other even with their co-employees. Always keep smiling spreads positiveness with the hotel's environment.
Terrible host service. We spent around $5000 the 3 days we were there & they refused to even comp $100 in room charges for food. We will never go back
Harrah's is an older hotel so with it comes low ceilings and what smells like years of cigarette smoke. But all in all, decent place. I would not stay there as an overnight guest because of the smell but I would do a little gambling and would eat at one of the restaurants.

First time staying at Harrah s Lake Tahoe, our room was very spacious and loved having 2 bathrooms. We enjoyed our 6 nights even during COVID. Only had 2 negatives, power went out Sunday at 8pm and didn t come back on until 11 am next day, then following day went out again for a little over 30 minutes. Was told the 2nd time was scheduled but never told at check in or message left about it. When we checked out on Sat, front desk never asked how stay was or offered a receipt.
I will be back because I love the location and premium rooms are very nice.
Hotel was very nice, room was amazing, casino was fun. The problem I have is their customer service. I was quoted $240-something for room. When I asked for the total I would be paying after taxes and everything, I was told $260-something. At check-out, my bill was over $300. Apparently, they have no clue what TOTAL AFTER TAXES AND EVERYTHING means! Seems to me that they are trying to fill up their hotel by whatever means even lying to customers. I would have stayed anyways. I just needed to know how much I was going to need to budget for the rest of my trip. When I brought it to the attention of man that checked me out, he got very rude. This is a place I will never stay again for that reason. I want to know my issues will be handled in an acceptable manner.
There were no real options available for low stakes players. They had several 5 dollar minimum roulette tables but required 100 dollars at the outset to play. Friends were never offered a drink and dealers were not pleasant. Vegas is much better.
Excellent casino, plenty of dining options overall a perfectly located hotel and casino in South Lake Tahoe.
Fun place, very friendly staff. Just wish there was more food options.
Great Arcade room with great games and cool prizes. And Cinnabon is right down the hall
Very clean. LOTS OF SLOTS! Beautiful shopping as well.
Had some time to kill so we stopped to make are deposit. Social distancing was great and everyone wore masks.
Friday s on 18 has really good food. Bo and her staff are excellent and transcend Harrahs in every aspect. The rooms are just okay. Room service is okay. The casino is a train wreck. The clientele is low low rent. Don t play blackjack here. Patrons can t get to 21 without help. Dealers are not friendly. It s the casino s money babies, relax! Attention white trash - be grateful for this dump, Vegas doesn t want you!
I frequently stop by Harrah's when I drop by stateline. The forest buffet is generally good, although heavily over priced and the service is good inside the casino. Most of the casino is very well upkept.
It was a really nice atmosphere, everything was fairly clean and the staff was very attentive.
Dark, grungy, depressing, and outrageously priced for parking; 25 bucks for 5 hours! Waaaay too greedy, given how much they make off gamblers. Stick with Harvey s if you feel the need to gamble; much better lit and people seemed happier.
The buffet had a beautiful view of the lake and the food selection wasn't bad at the price either. The food was fresh, but your usual American buffet fare. The staff were professional and polite throughout the meal. It would be nice if the decor was updated, it's presently reminiscent of an old cruise ship. The intake could also use some streamlining.
Good prices!!, clean, the staff friendly
New slots
Loved all the stores and great customer service from the hotel staff.
Awesome place to go when your in South Lake Tahoe the slots were hitting pretty good and fat burger was delicious
I love the Harrahs I onyx a stay there when I go to Tahoe city they are affordable price and great service
Loved the place, so close and convenient for everything. We only stayed one night and we enjoyed it.
Checked in today. 11/13/2020. During
Covid. I asked the front desk what they were doing to protect people in the rooms. He said they deep clean after each patron. I entered the room. To my luck, the son was shining through and allowed me to see the 1/4 inch of dust on the tv table and lamp on writing table. Hmmmmmm. Not cleaning much less deep cleaning. Not confident in my stay any longer... Paid $500 for this... Not happy feel lied to...
Covid
Good place to play. Have lot of tables and slot machines. Live music at night!! Not sure if it's avail every day.
Pretty cool place, tried to play at the bar and the bartender was extremely hard to understand, and then he got really rude.. Not sure why. He doesn't have much for manners. He treated me like I was a thug.
We went up to the restaurant bar on the 18th floor for a late night meal, and was pleasantly surprised to see a special late night deal for a $4.99 breakfast (good from 11pm-6am). The breakfast plate included eggs, toast, hash browns, and sausage or bacon. The quality of food is better than Denny's imo and service was very good, just a little bit slow to get our food which was understandable at the late hour. The other offerings besides the breakfast deal are on the pricey side--we also got a grilled cheese which was $12, the cheapest option on the rest of the menu, but it did come with a good amount of fries which had some sort of seasoning (cajun?) and were pretty good. Overall, highly recommended if you're looking for something to eat from 11pm-6am.
We only went to go to the arcade with the kids. They had a great time. We had a great time because we went to the bar before. The bar was great and the arcade was great, especially because the bar was great.
Went to Gamble on a Tuesday and it was pretty dead. But what can you expect, it's Tuesday.
Free parking is always a plus, when you are popping in with a few friends to grab a drink and do a bit of gambling.
Fun place to hang out and spend time trying your luck gambling. Sometimes service is lacking, and the minimums are kinds high at times for tables but overall it was a good way to kill time
I went to the casino and bar. It's not much different than other casinos. You get what you pay for
The cigarette smoke is less hear than anywhere else. Some gaming machines have sound levels that would hurt your hearing and you can't turn them down. Other machines are emitting so much energy you coukd get a sun tan!
