Room wasn't as advertised, no tub and shower, so we had to get a new room. ( needed tub for our child ) other than that hassle it was ok

Helpful and friendly staff. Conveniently located in the loop. Close to many restaurants, sights and clothing stores.
Conveniently located in downtown Chicago, this hotel's facade really catches your eye and feels more swanky then say the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas.
this hotel gets 3 stars from me the service is very friendly the staff is kind the bed was comfortable but there were 3 glaring problems which is why i am giving it 3 stars me my dad and one of our co workers were in Chicago for a business trip i am writing this the day before i go back home first off when we got there they were going to put my dad and i in one room WITH ONE BED! we both were disgusted but they said they couldn't do anything about it thankfully our co worker volunteered to move to the hotel across the street and my dad took his room there was also zero water pressure in the shower but the biggest problem though was that both of our rooms SMELLED and i mean SMELLED the room especially the bathroom literally smelled like sewer gas and poop like neither had been cleaned in years or something was backing up somewhere so only stay at this hotel if you can handle gross smells and friendly but slightly weird staff trying to put people in the same bed
Nice room, friendly staff, and a convenient location!
Very cool-looking, but some of the basic amenities seemed run-down.
Wonderful service, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds. I dislike the pressure sensitive mini bar.
Great hotel in the heart of Chicago. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and the staff are extremely helpful. It is located within walking distance from Millennium Park as well as countless restaurants.
The pictures do not do this place justice! The rooms are amazing- Modern, fresh, and comfortable.
Its a Fun place! And the room I stayed is very modern, very nice, I had great experience.
Am in a wheelchair and had an ADA room the water overflowed and support rod would not hold my weight causing me to fall in the shower and the hotels offer for compensation for possible injury was a discounted rate of 199.99 plus tax
Mostly great. Friendly staff, unique rooms, fun items throughout the hotel. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired. Terrible water pressure, tight shower space, lackluster toiletries.
I stayed in room 2009. Having recently lost a friend to suicide, the life-size painting next to the bed with a pink mist instead of a head was disturbing, as was the lack of a sheet on said bed. I suspect I was not the first to desire to cover the illustration so as not to be reminded of my loss. As someone who can tell you from experience, the mist is not chunky enough to to a depiction of gunfire. But enough about art.
Sadly, this colored my entire experience. I was more likely to take things regarding the hotel experience negativity. Does it have breakfast included? Does it have decent service? Did I say something to the concierge to provoke this placement? I'll never know. The reviews only have a handful of photos of this picture leading me to believe it only exists in a few rooms.
The room was clean. There was an expensive mini bar. There was a view. All things of minimal requirement were met. The bathroom was nice. The bed lacked a flat sheet.
I am not one to judge the decor of others. We all have our quirks. Here, there was ART (all capital letters required). As for St Jane, I will certainly remember it.
Hotel and staff are amazing!!! Everyone very professional, friendly and accommodating!! Rooms are large, clean, beautiful and the shower is amazing!!! Very comfortable! We highly recommend it!! Had breakfast all 3 days at Free Rein. Very very good. Loved the staff there!!
The shower head was broken, the air is not adjustable in any of the rooms (I was sweating all night), and the bathroom was not very clean. Furthermore the lighting was terrible (Everything was very dark) and the entire hotel had a weird smell to it. However, the room service was great (food was excellent), and the staff was very friendly. I wouldn't stay there again unless it was my only option solely due to the fact that you can stay at a much nicer hotel for the same price, or less.
Didn't like the bed, didn't like the shower, didn't like the chair in the room, but the hotel's aesthetic is nice and they had some K-cups in the room.
Booked a suite, the room was not the same as pics online! No hot water in the morning for shower, and no refrigerator. Spent the next night in a different hotel's regular room, paid less money, and it had a refrigerator and was the same size. Dont book a suite.
The Hotel St. Jane, located in the historic Carbine and Carbide Building on Michigan Avenue is a lovely hotel. The hotel itself is quite simply stated and is not overly showy or unnecessarily opulent. The design of the hotel seems to allow the grandeur of the building to do the work and it does.
We headed up to Chicago as a little overnight get-a-way for my 51st birthday but, after driving two and a half hours in a freak mid-April snow storm, my husband and I were tired and stressed. The Valet whisked away our car to their garage quickly. The Concierge Jose checked us in. Jose was quite personable and took the extra time to give us a brief history of the beautiful building. He was very welcoming and professional.
Our room was clean and quite roomy compared to other high end hotels we ve stayed in larger cities. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing I could not figure out was how to connect my iPad to the TV to stream my own media. I did not have an HDMI cable and could not find one on or around the TV, but this was not a game changer for me. I wasn t there to watch much TV to begin with. The view of Chicago s north skyline from our 22nd floor room, complete with the John Hancock Building, was beautiful once the blizzard passed. We were also within walking distance of everything we went to Chicago to do.
We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant, Free Rein. Our waitress, Selena, was Johnny on the Spot with keeping our coffee cups topped off and, although we ate light, the food was good.
I would recommend the Hotel St. Jane and would definitely stay there again in a future Chicago stay.
Good location and Hotel Staff. Hotel needs to update beds, TVs/cable, showers. Also including a fridge would go a long way.
We had a great stay! Love the decor and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our only concern would be that noises from the hallway are amplified since there is no carpet.
Zero help. No room service. The pizza delivery they recommend takes 3 hours.
Love staying here. The staff is amazing and goes above and beyond. If I needed anything they got it for me,and if they didn't have it, they were willing to send someone to get it from the store. I never needed for anything, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Location was great. Room was clean. But the overall expectations were not met for the price.
Very nice clean rooms. Noise proofing could be a lot better. Road noise is pretty bad at night.
Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel clean and great location for our visit. 2 blocks from train station right on Michigan. Wi-fi was free. Plenty of good places to it close by plus hotel had 2 restaurants in side. Traffic noise was loud (understandable) next time will try and get a room higher up.
I loved the experience at St. Jane. Cool, modern rooms, but still cozy. Great linens and towels, helpful valet and concierge and spotless cleaning service. Even though the vibe is not specifically kid-friendly, I felt welcome with my young son. Highly recommend!
Beautiful view and clean room and dining room service was great
BEST HOTEL AND AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! Second time staying at the St. Jane and they went above and beyond to accommodate us after short notice leaving a different hotel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Chicago!
Rude front desk staff, they weren't accommodating with request or willing to offer any help when asked.
Beautiful hotel suite. I booked to use the room for a boudoir shoot.
Valet parking was $65 a night. There was no fridge or microwave in the room. No continental breakfast. Could definitely hear anyone talking in the hallways. Overall, average/low experience.
My 3rd stay at the hotel. Great location, room was nice with a good view on the 19th floor. The gym needs new equipment . Chucks restaurant was excellent !
Stayed here on vacation. Very good hotel. Nice rooms and good food.
Room was comfortable & clean. Lightning was good. Free wifi. Restaurant had good breakfast also was priced good for area. Would stay there again
Built in a beautiful, historic building right on the corner of Michigan Ave + Wacker, a great location for folks visiting downtown Chicago. Great for single folks + couples staying together. Very contemporary vibes.
Hugely disappointing, very small room, window the size of a postage stamp, no where near as good as it looks online, grotty bathroom, didn't even have bottled water in the room.
Visited the gift shop to purchase a pin. Disappointed to hear that the hotel will be closing.
Checked in late last night. Upon waking up I was looking all over for the hotel guide with all of the information about the hotel and surrounding area as I am in town for a conference and will be here for almost a week. I called the front desk over an hour ago to ask for one and still nothing. I called again about 15 minutes ago and the same guy told me he was waiting for the next shift to arrive so he could search for one to bring to me. Then some lady shows up with a book about Chicago and a marketing book advertisement for all of the other locations around the world. These things are already in this room. I called once again to explain that I already have these things. I want the hotel guide book that is specific to this particular hotel. You know the one that has information on room service, the hotel amenities, the resturants and their hours. Still waiting....The hotel seems nice altough it is a little warn out. I can usually overlook that as long as it is clean which it is. But what I absolutely hate is bad service. It is going to be a really long week. Ugh!
The location is fabulous and it is nicely designed! The decorations are beautiful but I must say that the gift shop is a tad overpriced
So busy, they gave me a room uncleaned, first. Ended up with a corner room!!
Good deal for the money, rooms are a bit small but the location is excellent
This building is inspired by a gold bottle of champagne, so you already know its lovely. Staffs were friendly, security is great too (but can be a little annoying), and rooms are spacious.
First off, who chose the photo of the scary woman to be in every room?! I definitely would recommend getting it removed if you're a scaredy cat like me. The bathroom on contrary, is beautiful with lovely marble from the floor to wall. If that's not good enough they have Maison Margiela products!!
I've been noticing that Chicago hotels don't seem to really provide toiletries, such as toothpaste, toothbrush, and other little necessities. But we did call to ask for slippers and I'm sure they would provide others as well.
Another thing about the hotel that is mentioned often is the noise level. We're staying on the 22nd floor and it's insanely loud at night sometimes (sirens, etc). And there's a lot of spiders.... in the room and near the windows.
Great hotel with clean rooms and awesome atmosphere!
We've enjoyed our stay at St. Jane. The beds are extremely comfortable and all the staff have been friendly.
This Hard Rock is such a great place to stay at. The amenities are minimal but they have free Wi-Fi and a nice business center if you are traveling for work. It's truly on an amazing location with just about everything in walking distance.
I have no words to describe this magnificent place in comparison to others-quality price everything is perfect and I will come back
Nice hotel in a great location central to lots of things in Chicago.
I was in Chicago, IL, for the music festival Lollapaloza. I originally booked a junior premier suite. On the day of check in, the staff at the St. Jane hotel told me that a slight upcharge of $125 would allow me to stay in their presidential suite. They failed to properly explain that it was $125 per a night and when confronted they offered a late check in and a final rate of $145 for three days. To continue, the service provided by this hotel was not that of the standards expected of a 4.5 star hotel. Room service never assisted me even after I tirelessly explained that the room did not have enough towels or blankets. The air conditioning didn t work at all for the three days I was a guest. Even after complaining they still didn t fix any problems. After what seemed like paying for a below average hotel, I come home to find out that the hotel excessively charged us for outragoues things that they were expected to do and won t give our money back. If I could give this hotel a zero star review I would. Save your money and take it to a hotel that does not disrespect their customers with subpar service.
The hotel is great. The experience is phenomenal. If you like the Westin's great showers... St. Jane's are better. The rooms are clean and the beddiy amazing. If you long for Westin's heavenly sheets...your go crazy for St. Jane's. My room was stately and chic. The only issue is size. As a business traveler the room was perfect. If you intend to sleep more than 2 people you'll find it impossible.
Therefore, business travelers and couple seeking a relaxing and memorable stay should seek out St. Jane.
Nice hotel. Good view. Lacks microwave and fridge. No mini bar. Not cleaned immaculately. But not dirty.
Nice place service is slow dew to how busy they get over all nice place
Great hotel with a good staff. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. It is also situated in a good location close to some of the best sites in Chicago for site seeing.
I have stayed her for my trips for the last three years. Great place, the WiFi could use some revamping and the TV channels aren't good.
Furniture was chipped, bed was half made, toilets and sinks made weird noises
Today is 11/25 @3:48am we are here so much the valet guy knows us by the way valet is perfect but the African Amereican Guy at the front desk over night I think his name is ed is very unprofessional and rude I asked him to call the valet guy he stated that he did already I sat down 15min no valet guy I then proceeded to ask the front desk guy to call him again he states I called him me calling him isn t gon make him move fast. If the employees do not like their job or have personal issues they shouldn t be therp
The rooms were fine. The staff is really what made the stay great! From check in to, valet, to check out was wonderful!
Room was very clean and the view from the upper floors are AMAZING! The staff were very nice and helpful.
A beautiful hotel to stay. The room was decorated with modern and chic.
Only went into the rock shop. Pins weren't that exciting. Staff greeted us going in and coming out
Came here for cocktail hour & wedding reception. Everything was great. I would have given a higher rating if we had booked a room.
Great hotel with large comfortable rooms in a great location in the city
What!? Free guitar loan with premium Blue headphones and Fender pedal board DSP? Awesumb! Cool rock art and artifacts everywhere!
My sister and I took our mom here for her 60th b-day. We had a great stay in a fantastic room with an amazing view! Clean, comfortable. An unforgettable stay! It's within walking distance to several area attractions, food and shopping!
Great location, friendly staff. A wee bit noisy..but that's what u get for booking a hotel in downtown Chicago.
Stayed for a weekend & it was very nice. We had a great room. The service was amazing. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Also the location was great. Especially if you're there to see tourist attractions around Michigan Ave.
Ok rooms, but an extra $65 for parking and $12/day/device for wifi were a little disappointing.
Highly recommend. Very nice rooms and great service
Great service, great drinks! I didn't know this place was here in Chicago. Next time I want to stay for the weekend.
Great location and hotel, nice room and service. They gave us robes and wine glasses very quickly after we called down for them. Would definitely go back!
