Hard Rock Hotel Chicago Review

I had a wonderful stay at the St. Jane hotel and I recommend it anyone. I don t know if it was the hotel or the concierge/ambassador Jose. He was attentive and super helpful. Truly a delight! Our room was fantastic, super clean, and the shower was so great I want the same one installed at my house. If you are looking for a room at the St. Jane ask for Jose and he will make you feel at home.

Nice location. Rooms are clean but dark. Some hallway noise. Front desk staff very nice.

Room was top notch. The motion sensors on the snack bar seemed overkill since you could accidentally knock something over and get charged even if you don't touch it.

Its very nice and the building is cool but one person In specific was rude. He said we couldn't be in a certain part of the building but he was almost rushing us to get back down . " Right here , go". Come on . He should be fired, I guess you can't explore the floors on this building/:

Room was very nice, no free Wi-Fi, no fridge to use only stocked and unable to take items out temporary to chill out own stuff

Excellent! I spent some beautiful days in Chicago and the attention was very good. Always very attentive staff. They had a computer room that was great for printing something I urgently needed. Everything in tune with rock to the carpet! And in the restaurant I loved the atmosphere and in each place music from the strokes or the killers or bands like that was heard. I loved! The building is worth touring for the architecture on the outside emulates the champagne bottle for its colors and shape. Anyway. EXCELLENT! VERY GOOD LOCATION IN THE LOOP!

A great city hotel, which, thanks to its central location, is ideal for a small city break. From here you can easily explore the city on foot.

Location is great, and rooms are ok, but it's not particularly great in any way. I've been on better hard rock hotels

Location is perfect, you have access to the whole in loop attraction walking distance. Rooms are not as big as other hotels, but they are clean and have all the essentials. Overall very good experience.

Didn't stay overnight, but the shop downstairs was nice

I love all the hard rocks and have been to many around the world. This was not a let down at all. Great location and good staff. Loved the gift store as well and bought the usual guitar magnet.

It was a nice and big venue. Perfect for the event that took place in it.

It is normal except for hard rock fans. I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel for the first time, but I thought that I would not stay any longer as I did not think so good.

It's 4.5 star experience - great rates. Friendly staff, great rooms. Where else can you get a guitar or bass brought up to your room - free? A pleasure to stay here and right downtown. Fridge in room wasnt working which wasnt a problem but others might not be happy.

City view means looking straight into another building, and WiFi barely works. However, staff are very friendly and accommodating

Just stopped into the gift shop, seemed like a really nice hotel.

Theft & Serious Careless:
we spend three nights in here, it was wonderful, the bed and staffs are nice. however, we have them park our car (valet parking). It is a very horrible basement indoor parking, they park our car in a very dark corner with no camera, obversely is a crime spot. They told us that our car window was broken and all our belongs were stolen.
i dont know how to trust them again.
i lost very important stuffs that worth many thousand dollars.
And i am still waiting for their insurance company to contact us.
we do hope they can pay back asap and dont do it again to others.
we dont want to think in a bad way, someone in the hotel do intentionally, but it is very suspicious......hope they can find out the truth by themseleve, please handle their insurance claim......

Stayed here for a conference, due to conference we had a great rate. Very nice memorabilia throughout property? If you are a fan of music, this is a great place to stay. Great restaurants and millennium bean within walking distance.

Great location, friendly staff, but room was small and "indulge bar" room selections are ridiculously overpriced. Would likely stay again due to overall value and location.

Let me just say this is by far one of the best hotels I ve stayed in! The customer service, the room, and food was excellent!! Definitely a go to spot next time I m there!

Good bed but really bad internet connection. You have to pay an extra for having a fridge in the room... Can't believe it..

It was a perfect storm of people, weather, and great music.

The toliet was beyond loud. I believe something in it had to be broke to be that loud. We didnt have a remote in the room for the tv. They brought us one fast, however, it stopped working too. Overall it was okay but wish the toliet wasnt so loud along with hearing everything outside.

Just Wow! - Hotel is immaculate, in a great location and as a frequent traveler being able to stream Netflix on the TV is a lifesaver. The front desk was incredibly professional and always acknowledged me as I walked by which is refreshing especially now a days. Room was spotless and the housekeeping team always greeted me as I walked by. Finally the restaurant "Free Rein" inside the property was great, very professional, and the pork belly was so good I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Overall great hotel and I will certainly return!

The hotel is beautiful! Our church group (19 rooms) stayed here while visiting the Cincy area and Drury didn't disappoint! Breakfast and dinner everyday along with fresh popped popcorn and soft drinks until 10pm everyday. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and updated, staff was great. If you don't like the food options at the hotel there is a Cracker...

Very clean Chucks is great Jamaican restaurant is horrible and a bad fit. Stay away from spa. Contracted out and not special. Gym is nice Location is awesome Parking is expensive but right for area

Beautiful art deco lobby (where the elevators are). The tower on top of the building is wrapped in 24k gold!

Good location. Hip Vibe. Free guitar rental is cool. On site restaurants could be better. Large room and bathroom. Would definently stay here again.

I like the location, but I wish the rooms had a refrigerator of some sort. It is sometimes annoying to not have access to one.

Only was at the hotel for open house Chicago, so I can't judge the amenities that the location provides. The area open for OHC was very small and didn't give me a good idea of the history of the location, which is a shame because, if I understand correctly, this will likely be the last OHC that this building is labeled the hard rock hotel.

Awesome hotel, highly recommend.

I didn't really look around the whole hotel so much but, it was clean and beautiful decor, really cozy and classy. Everything was in the room, except extra toilet paper. And I think I looked everywhere for it.

Service was good, they were helpful and nice.

Free Rein restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast food was pretty good. Ordered buttermilk pancake, croissant, biscuit, breakfast potatoes, fine herb omelet, orange juice and calabrian sausage. May just be my taste but I'm not a huge fan of welldone croissants. It's too crispy and makes a mess.

I liked how my floor(probably all) in the hallway had a chair and phone, in case an emergency I guess.

Location is nice. It's close to the train station.

Coffee shop and bakery with excellent options for those who want to taste nutella derivatives. In addition, it has excellent service in a great location. The facilities are also very good and the coffee, taken on time, is an excellent accompaniment.

Great hotel to stay at in Chicago. It's in a perfect location, right next to the river and easy to get around. The room itself was very spacious and clean, and the hotel building is really cool! I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel downtown.

Room was awesome. New flat screen and lighting was awesome and I really love john Lennon watching my bathroom activities.

We were upgraded to a larger city view room as it was out honey. The staff were excellent, great customer service. The room was clean and spacious, comfortable bed. All in all we had a great stay. No negatives.

This was an excellent experience the staff was helpful and very nice. The hotel was near a lot of downtown entertainment. And the room was very nice and clean.

Seriously, this hotel takes the time to instruct the staff to fold the room toilet paper into triangles but can't be bothered to clean mold from the shower grout or dispose of dirty dishes? This hotel is in a beautiful building (Outside) and central location in Chicago, very convenient to local attractions but the accommodations are wanting. The rooms are dark and forgettable, the spa and exercise facility is 2 stories underground in a room with a low ceiling and the room bathrooms are in need of paint and tile refreshing. As an example of the disconnect in service, how is it possible that a glass from the hotel restaurant in my room would be placed in the hallway by housekeeping (With all of the other dishes from rooms on my floor), let sit for 2 days before being placed back in my room on the desk as if I wanted to use it again?

This hotel isn't terrible and I stayed the full length of my stay but given the price point, there are many other wonderful hotel choices in Chicago and I won't be staying with this brand again. (Even in Vegas)

As an aside for fellow business travelers, it would have been impossible to stay here for work given the Wifi if it weren't for the hotel directly across the street that offered reliable Wifi that I could access given my status with them. For this type of property and nightly rate, how is it possible to have such a terrible signal in 2015 and yet have your entire brand be based on a "modern" vibe? FYI - the ping-pong table and music playing in the lobby isn't as cool as the downside of having to be connected to your neighboring hotel WiFi to write this negative review of your hotel.

I would give this place more than five stars if I could. I am a client for life now. Stunningly beautiful hotel, inside and outside, with art deco details and an awesome location right off Michigan Ave. But, this is not the reason this is now my favorite hotel in the city. The reason is the unparalleled service I received on my visit. Every member of the staff was helpful, friendly, kind and ready to go the extra mile to make my stay flawless. I felt like a true VIP.

What a jewel of a downtown hotel! Stayed here one night for a work function/meeting. From valet, to check-in, to room comfort, to onsite services, this hotel was great.

- The staff was incredibly warm, inviting and helpful.
- The room was clean, modern and comfortable. LOVED the REPLICA/Maison Margiela toiletries!
- Breakfast and the hotel restaurant served up delicious food
- Meeting space was great

Would absolutely stay here again. The hotel itself is in this beautiful art deco building built in 1929 and the decor revolves around the legacy of Jane Adamms. Great history, great inspiration, great stay!
