I've been to a lot of dog daycares with my wild pooch but this is by far the most polished and professional.
All the handlers in the play areas are actual dog trainers and they are all cool and collected ( a must when dealing g with large groups of rambunctious poochies!)
Our dog cannot wait to get to day care and he comes home pooped!
If you are looking for a full service daycare/boarding facility, look no further, you've found it!

We bring our dogs, Fernando & Max, to Happy Hound 2x/week and absolutely love the TLC they get from the staff. Most importantly, our dogs are nice & pooped once we get them home after a day of play. The price you pay for the flexibility of pick-up & drop-off hours is unbeatable!

My dog is SO happy after a stay at Happy Hound for the day or longer. All of the staff there is patient with her and understand she just wants runs. The initial review of our dog and her temperament was easy and set our minds that this was the right place for her. LOVE!

When you go on the tour of the facility, there's at least 4 attendants watching the dogs. I interviewed several employees outside of this establishment who confided to me that the norm is 2. I sent my dog in wearing a camera on his harness. There were only 2 people watching about 75 dogs, 1 employee was rescuing a puppy that was being attacked by much older dogs. All the dogs are thrown in together regardless of age, aggressive behavior, or health conditions. I will be sharing my findings with the appropriate authorities as well as media. This place should be closed down and the owner prosecuted for cruelty and neglect.

Our adopted dog needed help socializing so we did the celeb rehab package which was awesome. The staff was thorough and helpful and caring - both for our dog and us! She learned a lot and has had noticable improvements with obedience and socialization. We also board her here when we travel and the staff communicates with us on how she's doing, which is awesome. Love happy hound, will reccomend to anyone.

Every aspect of Happy Hounds is deliberate and dog-centered! Very professional and welcoming staff and environment. I trust leaving my pup here knowing that he will be well cared for and exhausted upon pickup!

I previously had posted a review about the customer service I received from the front desk. I had felt like the front desk gave me attitude a lot and it was quite frustrating. Within minutes of that posting the owner and front desk supervisor called to ask what had happened. I told them my experiences and they were very concerned and also so professional in how they handled my frustrations. I'm very impressed in their response time and how they reassured me that my concerns were taken seriously. They are so conveniently located for me that I'm so thankful they called to ask what was wrong. My dogs mean the world to me and I wouldn't trust just anyone to look after them. I would definitely and highly recommend happy hound to anyone who's looking for a day care for their fur babies.

Happy Hound is the first place I checked when I got my puppy, Bubba Gump. I didn t look any further. Suzanne welcomed us and we were sold. Bubba has been at day care since January and he is always so excited to be there. He loves the Adventure Walks, and is well trained by the staff. I wouldn t let anyone else take care of my Bubs!

Decaf loves spending time at this daycare. Every time we dropped her off she was happy to follow the staff and excited to stay there. Also, when we went to pick her up and seemed that enjoyed her time there.

I've been taking my dog here for several years now. He always wants to go in, and usually drags me in the door because I'm not moving fast enough! I can't think of a higher compliment.
He loves all of the staff, and they seem to treat him very well.
Occasionally the staff has been brusque with me, but that seems to happen when they are very busy. And, after all, I would expect them to pay attention first to their jobs (care of the dogs) - I don't mind waiting.

Happy Hound, you are truly the best. You saved my life. I called Suzanne Golter, the owner, one day is August. I needed help with our Old English Bulldog puppy Dozzer ,who was almost one year and weighing 60 # plus. Suzanne said come in and bring Dozzer to be evaluated. Well, Suzanne and I knew I was in trouble when I came the next day and Dozzer was dragging me into her office with his leach attached. Suzanne spent lots of time with us and mentioned all the Training options. The best option was to have him enroll in the 21 day Celebrity,Rehab, and Socialization package. I was asked to fill our a questioner and to mention what I really wanted out of Dozzer's training. What was important to me was being able to take walks with him and he not leading me on the walks. This theme of what was important to me has come up many times. It was addressed when I picked Dozzer up after him training, and it was also mentioned when Emily had come to our house for additional training. Tom, Emily, and Jacob are the 3 trainers and they all worked close together the get Dozzer to a much better behaved and obedient dog. During the 3 weeks of Dozzer's training I got a call at least once a week from one of the trainers to keep me informed on Dozzer's progress. They were very specific on what their program of training was entailing that week and how Dozzer was testing them. Also I was encouraged to call in at any time with questions and I could talked to the trainers .. I did do that when I was just missing him and wondering how his training was going. I liked how specific and detailed the trainers were when calling and giving me updates. On graduation day, I met with Jacob. I had to attend a meeting, which was excellent to make sure I knew what was expected from me to make this training a success for both Dozzer and myself. Jacob gave a packet of information on how they trained him and how to follow through. Jacob also took me outside with Dozzer and instructed me with Dozzer on how to practice all the training moves that he was now accustomed to. Jacob watched me repeat this training and made suggestions to me to improve my technique with handling Dozzer. Since I was not very assertive with Dozzer,I had to learn a new way of being in charge of him and he not being in charge of me. This has been a work in progress for me. Jacob also reiterated that I could call the trainers anytime and they would also come to my home to help me out with any issues that were a challenge for me. I did call and Emily came over to our home in Alameda and she helped me with getting him into his crate with no treats and with walking with him. We went for a walk outside and she showed me how to correct the problem of his leading me instead of me leading him. I have also called and emailed Emily on a couple of occasions when I was having a repeated problem, like Dozzer running through the house. She has always responded very fast to my challenges. I really like the idea that the trainers are there to assist me on my journey to make it successful for Dozzer and myself.
I take Dozzer to Happy Hound for boarding and I really like the friendliness that all the staff projects all the time, even when they are really busy with the telephone ringing and dogs barking and dogs and owners coming and going all the time. When I take Dozzer in, if I see Tom, Emily, or Jacob, they are always asking me how it is going and answer any concerns I have about his training..
I cannot say enough great things about Happy Hound and all the staff. Even 10++++++stars is not enough to say what a super job they have done with Our Dozzer. Also thank you for giving me the tools and encouragement to train Dozzer into a better dog. Thank You Maureen

Called thousands of miles away from MA to see if the owner or staff would take 5 minutes to help out with a few questions; I have a newer daycare and simply wanted to know where she bought some of her play furniture. I was appalled and shocked at how rude the staff was telling us "I'm too busy to help you" and then hanging up; here I'm thinking MA is supposedly where all the rude people live!? I guess their too busy to remember the days when they first started out; I'm sure they didn't get help from anyone!
Knowing people and pets I can tell you for a fact, they'll treat your pet they way they treat other people!

Here goes...I began bringing my one year old Havanese, Bugg, for half day play group, so he had an opportunity to socialize more, (he was a bit timid around other dogs),and get some energy out. Mission accomplished, and he loved it. Happy Hound is run with such care, and organization, it's impressive. I then had occasion to board both my dogs, Bugg, and my 14 yr old Boston Terrier, Lena. Now, I've never boarded my dogs ever, always had them stay with friends, etc. The idea of it made me really uncomfortable. But from my experience withe daycare, I felt fine about it. They stayed for a week, Bugg was brushed every day as I had asked, had a bath before leaving. Lena had extra care, and she was well taken care of. They both returned, happy, adjusted, well, just in a really good place. It's now taken the stress out of travel plans, with"who can take them". Happy Hound is really more equipped to handle them, as they love dogs, know their requirements, and have lots of able help to assist. Great place, great vibe, would recommend in a heartbeat!!

They're very responsive and good with our dog, but since we have a senior pup it's unfortunate that they don't have more soft bedding. Our dog spends most of his time laying on concrete, so he's pretty sore when we get him back. Other than that, we've had a good experience.

Love these guys and stoked to see them back up and running. They have implemented great safely protocols that made both me and my Pup feel safe and cared for. They are rockstars and would highly recommend.

Happy Hound is great! My young border collie Luke LOVES it here. He gets to play with his friends (i.e. herd them around) all day long when he goes. I get to watch him on webcam and make sure he's alright, which is nice if you're an anxious dad like me.
The staff are great too. Caitlyn, Danica, and Sam at the front desk always greet us with a smile. The handlers are gentle with Luke (even when he jumps up on them, ugh). And the management are friendly and professional: Phil, Brittany, and Molly seem to work tirelessly to make sure all the pups are safe and happy and are by far some of the friendliest people I've ever met.
Luke loves going to Happy Hound and I'd bet your dog would too!

I took my new rescue dog Zoe to Happy Hound for intensive training and could not be happier. As a pitbull mix Zoe is very smart, willful and strong. I wanted her to respect commands and not chew or bite things and most importantly check her sometimes aggressive posturing towards other dogs. The work that Emily, Tom and Jacob did in training Zoe has definitely paid off. Suzanne, the owner of Happy Hound, is extremely personable and professional and really made me feel at home and like they want to make Zoe the best dog she can be. Post training Zoe is very responsive to me and follows directions and behaves herself in settings with other dogs. The detailed instructions that came with Zoe after her training have helped ensure that all the work she did at Happy Hound transfers into her home and other settings. I highly recommend this program and I am looking forward to continuing to have Zoe be part of the Happy Hound family by attending doggie day care there as well.

Luna has been coming here for 9 years and has done very well here both in day care and when boarded. Great facility and very dog centered staff. She has needed some special care at times (she has Cushing's) and they take care to make sure she eats, and gets enough rest. When I pick her up at the end of the day, she has to say "goodbye" to everyone on staff before she leaves for the night. She would rather be with me in the living room, but since she can't come to work with me, this is a terrific daycare.

We bring our dog here most work days for daycare. He and we love it! We can watch him on the streaming cameras and he's always happy and tired when coming home. The facilities are clean and modern. Suzanne, the owner, and staff are all very friendly, helpful, and clearly enjoy what they do. Worth every penny and very highly recommended!

Our dog has been a Happy Hound since we adopted him three years ago. He s a rescue and doesn t trust people but is a completely different dog at Happy Hound. He likes all people there, it s the weirdest thing and he even lets them pet him! He goes daily and I have nothing but great things to say. It s extremely clean and I feel safe with him there.
During shelter in place, he was impacted the most in our household- you could tell he missed going. He went back today and is currently passed out. Even though we are working from home, he will continue to go since it seems to balance him out. So happy to be back!

My dog is the light of my life. And honestly, Happy Hound is the only place I trust to really take care of him the way I would. They have a very attentive staff and lots of systems in place to deal with every type of dog behavior. I feel that my dog is safe there. Furthermore, I love the front desk staff! They are very kind, friendly, and communicative. They don't make you feel bad taking their time and they clearly know what's going on in the back areas where the dogs area. Their communication is tight and effective. They also always seem to have plenty of staff on duty. Even during high traffic times, I'm rarely left waiting more than a minute or two. The space is clean, well organized, and very customer (dog & human) friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

The facility appears very professional and clean. The front desk staff was helpful and the interview process was very thorough. I was on board until my dog was taken back to try out the group environment. We were not allowed to see my dog introduced to the group and after seeing what the groups looked like, I can understand why the staff would not want a dog mom or dad to see the process.
We went on a Saturday, late in the afternoon but there were still quite a few dogs in a very small area. While mine was stressed and cowering against a wall, occasionally being picked picked on by a couple dogs, he is not who I am most concerned about as he will never be going back. It s the regulars I feel bad for.
Every dog was tense and on edge, there were couple dogs shaking, others stress panting, and if a dog started to play, they would be immediately stopped by the handlers. There was no designated potty area for the dogs so they would all simply pee or poo on the floor and a handler would come mop it up.
Many dogs were crowding the two gates hoping to selected as the next one to leave and tussles would break out every couple minutes.
The only interaction the handlers had with the dogs were to put a choke collar on them for a correction walk . There was no praising, no affection shown towards the dogs. The handlers were simply jail wardens with buckets and mops for pee.
There was never moments peace, there was non-stop barking and while we were there watching our dog for about 30 minutes, we heard at least two fights break out in the other groups.
When I decided I had seen enough of the environment I asked for my dog to be brought out. The exit process is horrific. There were already 15 dogs crowding the gate, mine made it to the back of the crowd, the choke leash was put on him, handlers are dragging him through the group while the other dogs are all trying to escape. They finally get him through and keep the other guys in, but I know that many dogs have to be stepped on or worse each day with that system.
Like I said, I will not be taking mine back, that was probably the worst day of his life. I urge others to think twice about making their furry children endure that as well. It felt as depressing as an animal shelter as equally as stressful.

Suzanne (the owner at Happy Hound) is amazing. She has set up an obedience training system that is just incredible. Jeff was our trainer, and my wife and I were so impressed by him not only because he was professional with us, but because of his skill as a trainer, and his ability to teach us his techniques. The three hour session flew by, and I can see it was necessary in order to cover everything and teach us the techniques they use. Our sweet little puppy is already learning better behavior (it's only been 3 days, but she's doing great) and I can see that she is happier (she has not been whining). If you want a comprehensive training with the best professionals out there, you should go to Happy Hound for your little loved one's obedience training.
I've been using Happy Hound on & off for about fou...
I've been using Happy Hound on & off for about four years (we moved out of the area twice, then back). They are hands down the best doggie daycare I've come across. I think I've used all of their services at this point and will review them all individually, but I'll say briefly that in general, they are awesome. Special shout out to Suzanne, who is a very hands-on owner and extremely helpful. She also has a super cute dalmatian who my dog loves to play with.
Daycare -- I've used this service dozens of time and have been really impressed. The playgroups are never overcrowded and are well supervised. My dog never comes home with mystery scratches or injuries (this has happened at other places), and I feel really confident putting him there for the day. I also appreciate that I have the option to watch him on camera, though I've never actually done this. My dog also has a tendency to overheat on hot days, so I really appreciate that they give him lots of water and put out splash pools in the summer.
Boarding -- They're unquestionably the best boarding facility I've found. No kennels or cramped spaces... each dog gets their own little suite to themselves. They really respect feeding instructions or quirky medication requests (my guy eats a wet/dry food combo that requires a little prep work) and my dog always comes home well fed. They're also staffed 24/7, as opposed to some other places that leave dogs unattended overnight. I've picked my dog up as late as 1 am with no problem.
Training -- My dog is a rescue and had some people aggression initially. We used Happy Hound's Board & Train service and I HIGHLY recommend. He stayed with them for a week and came back with a strong, reliable set of skills. His major issue was that he would charge strangers in dog parks, and after his training this habit had been completely broken. 100% gone. I was really, really impressed with the results and feel totally confident taking him to off leash parks now. Our trainer was Stephen, who I specifically recommend, however I imagine they're all great. My dog completely trusted the training staff and seemed to genuinely have fun while training.
If you're on the fence about Happy Hound or are unsure about trying them out, I highly recommend giving them a try. They're similarly priced with other dog facilities in the area, but provide much, much better services. Thanks Suzanne and crew!

My otherwise excessively energetic GSD becomes a fixture of my apartment when she gets home from this place. From the moment my dogs and I walked through the door at Happy Hound, I m not sure which of us was more impressed.
This place is amazing! I mean, I already anticipated there being maybe 2 separate areas: one for the little guys and another for all the others. But Happy Hound doesn t stop there. Not only do the play areas have both in and out areas, but there are separate areas for puppies, small dogs, low energy dogs, alpha dogs, and all the rest! This is perfect for us since my guys are small to medium and are seniors. They don t like puppies and can t handle high energy dogs. They normally get lumped in with one or the other at most places. But happily here, they seem to have anticipated all that and my dogs love hanging in the low energy room.
More about this place that impressed me to no end, but I m not sure how much my dogs like it: they have a dog spa, they board, and I can do late pick ups!
Importantly, the place is clean and bright and doesn t smell bad, every employee I spoke to seemed to actually love dogs, and the dogs looked happy and alert.
But the very best thing - I can sneakily watch this all on webcam at work!
Seriously, I sort of want to have a Freaky Friday moment with my dogs just so I can spend my days here!

The staff, the facilities, are all exceptional. I ve been sending my puppy to puppy park and I have been pleased. Loki comes home wiped out, and gets all sort of stimulation for a new puppy. The staff is caring engaged and I can even drop in and watch on camera. I visited multiple locations for dog care and this one was hands down my favorite. I couldn t be happier and neither could my pup.

I think I've found my new favorite doggy nail-trim place! My dog, Stitch, is a very aggressive dog when it comes to nail trims. He fails around, tries to bite, and is just overall a mess when it comes to nail trims. I've asked multiple places for help (trying to avoid vets since I don't have insurance yet). Suzanne, the owner of Happy Hound was the only place that decided to take a chance on Stitch.
Everything was a breeze! From booking the appointment (thanks to Eddie for answering all my questions), to getting to the location, even the actual nail trim. We were in then out in less than 10 mins. Stitch was still his aggressive self, but their groomer (only available Mon, Tues, & Wed as of 10/15) and staff knew how to quickly/safely handle him. Although this place is a bit far from me, I'll definitely be returning since they can properly handle my dog. Thank you for taking a chance on Stitch!
Nail trims are $25 by the way. Proof of all vaccinations are required!
Thank you again!

We enrolled our standard poodle, Charley (10 mos) in the two week board and train programs. I have waited until we are four or so weeks out of the program to report our progress. Charley graduated and we have already had one house visit. I have one word to describe our experience with Happy Hound. FABULOUS!!
Our entire experience there has gone swimmingly, from our interview with wonderful owner, Suzanne, to our home visit with Darcie. Charley hasn t been fixed yet and so he had become rambunctious and anxious even though we had trained him from the get go. He and his ten year old housemate, Gracie, were playing way too rough and their recall was spotty.
They spent a couple of hours with daycare dogs during the interview and I was pleased with what I saw, as well as how they behaved. We have a pretty quiet life at home without much introduction to other dogs, so that gave me confidence. Suzanne was very reassuring, later spent time on the phone with my husband and myself, helping us to determine what programs would be best for Charley.
Dropping off Charley was a bit traumatic for me. He yelped (he is a REAL talker) and tugged and honestly, even though I felt sad, I was more convinced than ever to release him to their care. Thankfully, I received assurance and support from the team and left with confidence.
We picked up Charley two weeks later at his graduation, which would have been conducted by his actual trainer. Because of a personal emergency, she was unable to be there, but one of the head trainers, Emily, took the lead with us. Even though she had not worked with Charley, Emily was kind, patient, and utterly knowledgeable. We spent well over an hour going through what to expect, how to continue the training, etc. Then our boy met us outside with Emily and we were SO excited to see him. They had advised us quell our excitement upon seeing him, so we did (imagine!) and watched Emily do some training bits with him. Then we each proceeded to do the same. Charley was wired and vocal, but even so, managed to show off his new behavior and training. Very impressive.
Honestly, my husband and I have been very consistent and steadfast with OUR training and we are amazed at how well Charley is doing. His anxiety is nearly gone, he responds beautifully to the few commands (sit, down, come, let s go). Each day our confidence grows. Charley s trainer, Darcie, came to our home for a visit, which was super helpful! She was very friendly, and very fond of Charley. We have continued to ask questions via email and phone during the past month with brilliant results. Naturally there have been ups and downs, but we are deeply learning the value of being calm, confident, and consistent leaders, and that the rewards are forthcoming slowly (sometimes fast) and surely.
This dog training isn t for sissies, but Happy Hounds trainers really know their stuff. We made the RIGHT decision, the RIGHT investment, and are on our way to having very well behaved and polite, happy dogs. This makes an unimaginable difference in OUR lives as dog owners. We love Happy Hounds!

Took my rescue Bull Terrier to Happy Hound for a 21-day board-and-train. I just picked him a week ago, and am very happy with the results. He has been very responsive to the training at home as well, and I look forward to taking him back to Happy Hound for boarding and daycare. They also recently moved facilities, which I have yet to see, but am excited to hear of the new space!

Happy Hound says it all. Tricky to find a spot to park at peak times, but the corner inside HH lot has a quick turn over. Easy freeway access after you drop off your precious dog. Professional, Polite & Paws oriented staff do their jobs well. CLEAN giant play areas for your pals of all sizes, ages, and personality. Tours available upon request. Check it out. Your dog will have a happy smile after a day at HH.

Truly I would like to give Happy Hound more than 5 Stars. When you're trusting your baby to a daycare, you want the people to love babies. You want them to be well-trained and know your baby as an individual. That's how I feel about Happy Hound. We don't actually call it daycare--as we are retired and Sparky, our French Bulldog, doesn't need daycare--but Sparky loves "camp" and all her fellow campers. The handlers are smart, competent and caring and Sparky runs to get her little leash with the HH plastic nametag on it every morning and sings when she sees we are going in that direction. She's one years old now, but she started going when she was allowed down on the ground, so she pretty much grew up with the HH crew.
Some say Disneyland, some say IKEA is the happiest place on earth, but Happy Hound is so much happier! It feels like family in a good way, you know like: "Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name..."
We didn't know how great it was when we started, but we feel very lucky to have found HH!

I have a very high energy border collie mix and struggled to find the right home for her. The other daycare center crated my pup for 8+ hours on her first day day (never going back of course), so I was nervous when we went in for the intake interview with Suzanne. I really wanted her to get into group and learn to play well with others, but based on the feedback from the other center I was skeptical, but still hopeful.
During the intake Suzanne showed me how Belle was interacting with the other dogs. I was floored. Belle definitely has some ways to go but she was playful and the staff managed her very well. I didn t see any of the aggressive behavior that would ve justified an 8+ hour time out. When I called in on the first day I was told Belle has found her people. She really did, and the search was over.
Thank you Happy Hound for designing the process and the facility out of love and care for the dogs and their owners. You have my absolute trust and I know Belle has found her second home.

I was soooo relieved to find Happy Hound when I decided last year that it would be a good idea to get a new pup. The reason being is that I hadn't really thought through the fact that I work during the day and couldn't leave her at home. I went and met with the owner, Suzanne, and she immediately made feel at ease. She went out of her way to accommodate me and my new little girl, who was still too young to be in the main play group, by making Violet her own private area away from the other dogs but close enough that she felt included. After Violet was old enough, she made a seamless transition into play group and loves being dropped off every morning to this day. It makes me feel so confident to see her get THAT excited when she sees the handlers. Sometimes I feel like I'm second fiddle! Suzanne and her staff are amazing. You can tell they take great pride in insuring that every dog has an awesome experience and feels safe. It's been over a year now since I started going to Happy Hound and I wouldn't trust my pooch with anyone else. A+

We adopted a GSD three months ago. The staff here did a very thorough interview with me and our dog. They do a trial period with close observation. She has been playing happily with the big dogs now whenever she goes. The staff members are very accepting about her just learning manners now, as we go. I really like the close eye they keep on dogs coming in and out to make sure all have a positive experience.

The training program at Happy Hound is fantastic. My two Havanese dogs were enrolled in their 2 week board and train program at 1 yrs. old this past April. They returned to me transformed! Litter mates are notoriously hard to train. Emily, Tom, Phoenix and everyone at Happy Hound have done such an amazing job with Penny and Rita AND me, I am in awe everyday. My neighbors stop me all of the time to tell me how they notice such a difference in my dogs behavior and they wish their dog could be so well behaved. Not only can I speak volumes about the amazing experience I had with the training program, Happy Hound hosts my dogs at their daycare everyday and I couldn't be happier. I trust them implicitly with my babies. They are so kind and professional.

We were recommended to Happy Hounds from a trusted friend who helps care for my 3 year old during his chemotherapy treatments. She takes her beloved pet there for training and day care. So once our new baby, a French mastiff our son named Sexy Rexy, had completed his needed vaccines I was going to reach out to them to find out more. Before I even had a chance to contact them, the owner Suzanne, reached out to us! She had heard my sons story from our mutual friend and offered to train his puppy for us at no cost to us. I couldn't even begin to express my gratitude for her generosity, as you can imagine the expenses of having a toddler undergoing chemotherapy for a tumor which also took his vision, can sneak up on you rather quickly.
Rexy was always a good puppy but of course was not house broken and he had tendency to chew. These were my two biggest concerns as my son had a plastic catheter surgically placed in his chest and Heaven save Rex if he ever chewed that thing. And don't even get me started on his leash "walking".
The day I dropped off Rex for their 10 day boarding and training camp I was 30 minutes late. I did call ahead and they graciously told me to keep on coming. I know how a tardy student can throw a major wrench in their day so I appreciated them being so understanding.
Upon arrival I had to push the double stroller and carry my dog in on his leash. (Hopefully that gives you a visual on how poorly he (actually we) used his leash) While we waited Rex hid behind my leg as he was understandably nervous due to all the dogs but I was excitedly taking in my surroundings. Their were dogs and parents coming and going and all were happy and well mannered. I was so impressed how clean the building was how happy every employee was to be there. This eased any concern I had leaving my pup for the first time. I spoke with trainers Emily and Tom to discuss his care. They were very informative and upfront about all the training tools and their plan for him. We even got a tour of where he would be kenneled. During his stay I received a few videos of his leash training and update emails to let me know how his overall mood was.
We returned 10 days later for graduation. I love that they take such personal time with the family because anyone who has a pet knows if the parents do not follow through on the training all the trainers hard work will go out the window. The instructions for after care were very clear and informative. Then we even went through a mock walk and training sessions with our puppy. I was so impressed!!! He could walk on his leash, use basic commands, and had such wonderful manners. Our toddler could even walk the pup with just a little help from mom.
It has been over a month since Rex has came home and I have to say I am so thankful for Happy Hounds. Our life gets incredibly hectic with 2 working parents, 4 children and the special needs of our son, having an ill behaved puppy would have been a nightmare. Thanks to Happy Hounds and to Suzanne, that is one burden we no longer have. Rex has only had one accident in the house but other than that has been the ideal companion pet for my son. I know that every pet is different and that a lot of the success has to do with the families following through, but I know I would have not been so well equipped without them. They have been so wonderful. I have even received emails from the trainers and Suzanne just to check in on him and to see how he is doing. Talk about customer service!!!!
I have since recommended Happy Hounds to several friends and I am very confident in how they will be cared for. The owners and the trainers working there do it from their hearts. They love these animals and want them to succeed. This business is a breath of fresh air as they truly love what they do and it shows. I strongly recommend Happy Hounds to anyone needing care for their dog or puppy, you will not be disappointed!

This has been without a doubt one of the best places for my Sheepadoodle... who needs much more socialization and space to romp than I can give him at home. The staff are delightful and are total pros. Very clean and sanitary. Not enough words to express my strongest recommendation. I have a very happy hound thanks to this wonderful team!

Happy Hound has been nothing but good to me & my dog Charley. After my mom passed I needed to find a doggy daycare for him. I admit I was a nervous momma leaving her pup there but Suzanne & staff have been the best.
Even though my pup is a small dog he didn t fit in with the smaller dogs. We moved him to Lounge Around Town & he fit in perfectly.
I have been taking my pup there for well over a year M-F & once in awhile on Saturday. The staff are very friendly know each dog by name & Charley loves the attention he gets from them. I would check in with their cameras to see how s he doing too.
Happy Hound will not disappoint & I was so happy to see them reopen after Covid.

I had an extremely poor experience with this place.
At first, everything seemed great with the place. They make a big show about how they tailor the experience to the individual dogs by having you and your puppy go through an evaluation.
The problems started when we had our puppy use their bath/spa facility. Our dog caught a bad case of kennel cough, so I had to keep him out of daycare for 8 days. The manger's response was "Oh we cant track how he got that". So much for taking responsibility for what happened.
Our dog is a 4 month sheepadoodle, so he is quite big. The front desk informed us that they would be moving him from the puppy area to the large dog area. A couple of days later they called me at work and said that they would be moving our dog to "enhanced care" which on more probing sounded more like Solitary Confinement. The reason for this was he had not got his rabies shots.
I was paying $800/mo and it was the employee(s) who decided that he should be moved to another area knowing well he hadn't got any shots. When I explained that to the manager, her exact words were "it was in the contract". So basically my pup went here for 10 days and I got scammed out of $800.
I will not be sending my puppy here for a couple of other reasons.
1. My puppy came back stinking every time he went to daycare
2. They charge an additional $4/feeding but misplaced our boxes a couple of times and couldn't tell us whether our dog was eating or not.
3. Most days my dog would refuse to go in and had to be dragged in, which makes me think he was not very happy with the place.
I gave the manager in charge a chance address my concerns and she couldn't be bothered with it.

Freak show ...... Wasteful online paperwork that takes over a half an hour to fill out. VERY IMPERSONAL and UNPLEASANT ... Owner lady sat at her desk and NEVER came out to show us the area that we were forced to pay for in advance. REFUND REQUESTED and if it's not received, this will turn into a one star rating and more negative reviews ...

Koa had a super fun day at doggy daycare playing with all the other canines and I had a blast watching him on the live Webcam from home! Great staff, super clean spacious environment full of good energy. Perfect place for an energetic young dog to get playtime and for me to get a break! Thank-you Happy Hound!

Everything about Happy Hound is on every dog lover's wish list. I feel very fortunate that they are in my neighborhood. And my dog thinks of HH as his second home. Or maybe he thinks of my house as the second home and HH as his first choice?

Suzanne and Adrienne have really bent over backwards to help our family with our extremely ill puppy. After coming down w pneumonia, we were no longer able to do the daycare package we'd signed up for. Suzanne refunded my paid amount and set my dog up w their Adventure Walks service. Adrienne has dealt with the constant up and down of having a schedule made and then my dog ends up back in the hospital and they have to cancel things with zero notice. Instead of adding to the drama, they have extended themselves and their genuine suport at every turn. I hope our puppy is able to go back to HH bc he loves the day care program, but if not, he is really enjoying walks and has very warm feelings (as evidenced by his super flipping out w joy when Darryl comes to pick him up) for his walker.
I would feel safe in my decision to leave my dog in their care if I were looking for a placement for my dog/s.

We bring both our dogs here and they love it! They make new friends and come home tired and happy, it's the only place we will take them. I love the cameras, especially when on trips. It's great to be able to check in on them. The staff is amazing and so great with my hyper pullers.

My Portuguese Water Dog Magic and I LOVE LOVE LOVE Happy Hound. We've been going there since Magic came to us 3 years ago and there's nothing but GREAT things to say about this place. The owner Suzanne is caring, really listens to her customers, and gives immediate feedback, accommodating special needs if possible. The staff is always happy and welcoming. I love the flexible drop in system for doggie day care. No reservations necessary. And if you happen to be out late, just call and arrange a late pick up! So sensible! Magic loves to be able to play all day with other dogs. It's heaven! Happy Hound does a thorough interview and intake, so there are no aggressive or reactive dogs there. It's a happy place for dogs. I highly recommend it!!!

We took our rescue dog to Happy Hounds for the three week training to learn to get along with other dogs. They did a great job with her. She came home not only getting along better with other dogs, but also much better trained in all aspects of her behavior. They of course also trained us on how to work with her and that was very helpful. They also came to our house after a few weeks so we could walk our neighborhood to continue working on her behavior and so we could practice in our regular environment with the trainer there to help us. Our dog still can huff and puff around dogs sometimes, but once she greets them she is fine. The trainers, especially Emily, continue to give us guidance and are happy to help us out with any questions or concerns. We are really happy with Happy Hounds and our dog is also much happier. She receives many compliments on her good behavior and manners whenever we go out, which we do a lot because she is so well behaved. I would highly recommend Happy Hounds.
