Slow service, with some good foor and some not so good food. A little pricey for portion size. Recommend the buckwheat bowl.

Years ago it was a great experience but know the food and service are terrible. Ate there last night and was sick all night. Worst of all it was not a cheap experience.
The phone never answers and the second option for reservations does not even ring.
Excellent, especially if you are looking for something light and healthy!
no place quite like 118 degrees, at least not until you reach LA proper, I.e., probably 15 mile radius. food is excellent -high quality, fresh, nourishing, raw, yummy. desserts are so delicious and pretty much guilt free. faves include pesto mushrooms, lasagna, curry ramen, sweet mustard salad, fried avocado rolls, desserts -save the creme brulee. service is outstanding -friendly, kind, attentive, clean. go monday night and enjoy live jazz. eat here. probably best raw vegan spot in la
One of the best Raw Vegan restaurants out here. Love their Miso soup with coconut
Wish I could take this place to my home town! If back in the area, I will definitely return. Great food, awesome menu selection, yummy smoothies and entrees. I was at a conference and ended up eating here 3 days in a row. By the third day the little place was packed with other people from the conference as word had gotten around!
Fried Avocado is rawesome! I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about eating here years ago (maybe mixed up with another place) as this is in Tarzana and still a relatively new joint. I lived across the street when they first opened and LOVED eating there. I now live over 40 min away and drive back just to dine here. 100% Raw, 100% Organic, 100% Vegan, 100% Gourmet. Can it get any higher quality? Not possible. Yes the prices are a little higher than your avg diner but this place is very likely one of the best gourmet restaurants in the world.
For the Costa Mesa 118 degree site: The food is terrific. The service for the 7 day detox meals need reorganization and possible restructuring. My husband and I, multiple times requested which week we wanted to start, but upon arriving for the Monday afternoon pick-up, the reservations were missing, and we had to reschedule. I suggest you call before going down for the pick-up to make sure your order has been processed and will be available. The first two pick-ups (Monday and Wednesday went well); however, the last pick-up on Friday only had the order filled for one person which we didn't realize until after getting it home. Needless to say, after all of the errors that had occurred before doing the detox, while doing the detox, we just lived with the fact that we were shorted. The restaurant people are nice and I would suggest eating at the restaurant. We will not do the detox meal program again based on the reasons set forth above, but I do think the food is terrific and portions are plenty (if you get the full order).
My introduction to vegan food.
We tried the Miso soup, the Caesar salad, the Pizzete and the Enchiladas. Every dish was beautifully served. The Caesar was made with the most beautiful lettuce I'd ever seen. Everything tasted fresh, light and delicious.
Service was very attentive.
I will definitely become a regular for a weekly health fix, and might even consider their Wellness Programs Meals and monthly Workshops. What an inspiring place !
This is a great vegan restaraunt. It is quiet, playing classic slow jams, and the servers are all nice. The interior is wonderfully modern with grass turf seating and wood. I suggest the greek salad and mustard greens salad.
Wonderful! Food was incredible and I'm not even vegan. The taco salad was amamxing so wasnthe miso soup! Highly reccomend! High quality, delicious!
Good ambience and modern decoration. Came here with few friends for a vegan/cherish event.
This place is a raw food restaurant. I am not a big fan of raw food but okay with it. Their food was actually pretty good. We had pesto roll which was good. Nachos, with raw ingredients, I think they did a good job. My favorite is the curry ramen with kelp noodles. It's WARM! Not a cold noodle! Isn't it amazing. The staff said they use warm/hot water to mix the spice and other ingredients. Hm....tricky. Anyhow, it's tasty. Recommend it! :)
Good vegan veggies and fresh juices.
The chef was heavy handed with peppers in my enchiladas. Burning haha well enchiladas are spicy I guess great juice great everything. Meals are small for the money but hey it's good so just order a lot!
This place is for you if you are into the RAW food. Meat lovers go to another place. ;) My favorites are Fried Avocados and their PIzza. Would come back in a heart bit...
A little hesitant to try as am one of those weirdo vegetarians who doesn't really like vegetables, so raw veggies....[yeeeshhhh] deep inhale..., but trying to eat healthier as all my friends facing health problems due to poor diet and writing's on the wall. And damn! this was not what I expected. Not only filling (was worried it wouldn't be enough), but (surprise!) delicious! I ordered the 3 enchilada combo (sweet, savory and spicy), a kale and buckwheat salad and an Alt-Bier Ale. Alles sehr gut! Translation: Yummy! A little pricey, but for local, organic food, this place rocked!
