Hotel staff is great. However maintenance items overlooked like the filter for room HVAC. Looks like they have not been changed in forever. Both of us had sick headaches all day. I reported, but after 3 plus hours I went to Wal-Mart less than 2 blocks away and bought one. This was in the penthouse room big $$$. Next time might stay at Days Inn. May be a whole lot cleaner and definitely much cheaper!!# Also they don't know the correct way to put in the air filter. Filters do show airflow and an arrow, but the person that put his one in got it backwards!! Management did refund $100.00. This Hampton Inn will not be stayed at again.

We ve been staying at the Hampton Inn since I was a kid in the early 2000s. It s been consistently good since then. This stay, my parents, my boyfriend, and I stayed for a long weekend in a two bedroom, two bath suite in the south tower. One room has two twin bunks and a queen bed, and a bathroom next to it; the other has a king bed and bathroom accessible from inside the room. There is a kitchen and good amount of space in the living area, with a balcony facing the ocean.
The rooms are very clean; the housekeeping staff does a good job and I ve never had a bad experience regarding the cleanliness of a room here.
The beds are comfortable, which is especially important to me while being pregnant. The bathrooms were a little small, but it was fine because I d rather have two small ones than share a larger bathroom. My parents bathroom door hit the cabinet if you tried to open it all the way, so you had to open it partially, go in, and then close the door. Ours had a decently sized glass-door shower and my parents (king bedroom) had a regular tub shower.
There are 13 floors (no 13th floor) in two towers. The north tower is the newest, but the south tower was renovated a few years ago. The hallways are wider in the north side than the south, but I think the rooms are about the same size.
There are some signs of wear, like on the corners of our bathroom cabinet, some things that could use a touch-up, but they are always doing small updates- during our stay they were replacing all the old drapes in the hallways.
It s right at the beach, so you can walk there from the pool area. They have several pools, including lazy rivers, hot tubs, and a heated pool- technically I believe all the pools are temperature controlled, but there is one that is warmer. The hot tubs are great, but I noticed that no one had updated the temperature for a few days on the sign that said the temperature of the hot tub at 9:00 am was 102 degrees. It would be nice to have a temperature gauge to show the current temp. Lots of kids here at the pool, especially in the summer, but everyone is nice and respectful of others.
The inside of the hotel is nice, beachy decor. There are several areas to sit on each side for breakfast, and some seating outside on the balcony. There are breakfast areas on both the north and south sides, so if one is crowded, go through the lobby to the other side. Breakfast has always been good- your standard fare- waffles, oatmeal, a hot tray usually with eggs and meat (today was scrambled eggs and sausage), fruit, coffee and juice, bagels and pastries, and recently they ve added smoothies, and now have Chobani yogurt instead of the artificially flavored kind.
All in all, this is a great place to stay, whether for a family vacation or a business trip. The rates are appropriate for the quality of hotel and service, and you can get discounts through AAA, veteran, long weekend, etc. rates. To recap, my main requirements for a hotel include being clean and having comfortable beds- which this does. They also are family friendly, have nice staff, and a good location with access to the beach. If you re staying in Myrtle Beach, I highly recommend this Hampton.
This was a wonderful stay for my boys (my son and three friends) that I brought to climax the end of the school year and start off the summer. It was impeccably clean and I just love all of the decorations. The breakfast was really good and it was really nice to be able to choose from so many pleasant seating areas with views of the ocean. I loved my room that was an ocean front with a balcony. The manager, Court, was exceptional. The boys accidentally left a video game in the trash can and when house keeping cleaned of course, they emptied it with the trash (we know how expensive those games are). Anyway, Court searched the trash and recovered it! Additionally, housekeeping accommodated my request for a late cleaning well after they had left for the day. This property far exceeded the standard and I would recommend the property and staff to anyone!
Regular Hampton standards but I believe the room I stayed in used to be smoking. Still had an odor. Also had requested for Ocean front a while before my reservation started but instead they did not and sold it right next to me as I was checking in. Other than those few small details my stay was okay. I wouldn't say I was 100% satisfied. Since I was there for a Hilton Grand Vacations preview it wasn't too Grand.
So, I am a kid. I just left this hotel, I love it! It was amazing, even though it was packed, it was really nice. I recommend it if you like pools and stuff. This has wonderful ocean views. :D
The rooms are clean and very well laid out, and very spacious. The staff was extremely helpful and very courteous. The hotel feels very warm and inviting. Definitely worth the money. We made a hotel reservation at another hotel right up the street and they did not give us the room that we had booked so we called this hotel the last minute and they were very helpful and took care of us immediately and we were in a room within 10 minutes. Will definitely stay here again probably the only place we'll stay in Myrtle Beach. Thank You Hilton we appreciate you!!!
Beautiful oceanfront facility. Excellent staff. Interior looks like Beach cottage, only huge. Multiple spaces on lobby level to sit. Balcony on that level to view the ocean. Multiple pools and hot tubs both inside and outside. Gorgeous grounds. We will return there.
The entire hotel looked very nice. The lobby and dining area we're inviting. The rooms were clean and the oven side view was beautiful. The ladies working the breakfast we're pleasant and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
Very nice hotel and rooms. Unfortunately the storm door would not lock and the hairdryer didn't work. Not a deal breaker, the pools were amazing and the beach was right there.
The staff was pleasant. The rooms were clean and the pools fantastic The view made my wife and children very happy . They even got up early to watch the sunrise.
This was a wonderful place to stay, we were on the penthouse floor and we had a wonderful view of the ocean. Breakfast was okay, it varied from day to day but it was complimentary. It's right on the beach which makes things a lot more accessible
Very nice hotel! Looks just like the pictures and u can walk thru hallways smelling the cleaning suppies which is a plus for us! The air conditoner was a lil ruff with the sound but did cool the room off well! The balcony even has rocking chairs which are way better than the plastic ones!
Hampton Inn & Suites, Myrtle Beach/Oceanfront is like a home away from home to me and my work partner. We serve as Disaster Survivor Assistance specialists, we travel extensively and work long hours 6-7 days a week. My experience with this hotel is phenomenal. The facility is commendable with all the amenities one can think of. The staff members are friendly and provide service with a smile. The managers are exceptionally sensitive to our situation as government employees serving the disaster areas. They go out of the way to find our desired rooms; more so, they are willing to meet the demands of our tight government budget. I can't thank Faith and Clyde enough for accommodating me and my work partner so that after a hard day's work, we are excited to come home and enjoy the sunset while preparing our daily report ... and nothing can be more motivating than waking up with the beautiful sunrise while enjoying our free hot prepared breakfast.
I come to Myrtle Beach for my family summer vacations and spend thousands of dollars for an oceanfront condominium; the next time, I would come to Myrtle Beach Hampton Inn & Suites instead.
Great experience here! Everyone that we have seen has been wonderful! They all go above and beyond to take care of their guests! Very nice place. Clean and spacious. We'll definitely visit again!
Great hotel! We loved our room, it was so cozy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They pointed out lots of fun activities in the area and nice restaurants.
The hotel is centrally located to the area with lots of places within walking distance. The exercise room and pool were well stocked with towels.
I stayed in this hotel with my daughters for a week. The refrigerator was making loud noises, I could not sleep. Someone from maintenance came and fixed it, after a day it was making the same loud noise again. I left my stuff in the safe, I could not open it. Someone from maintenance came and opened the safe, apparently there was something wrong with the battery of the safe. So I did not use it anymore. I forgot my gold earrings on the table by the microwave in my room 1140 before I left to the beach. and when I was packing my stuff at the end of the week, I realized that the earrings were gone. I checked all our stuff, apparently the earrings were stolen. I did not report it to the staff because I am sure that the housekeeper would deny it. So, make sure you do not leave anything valuable inside your room so nobody steals it. Be aware of theft in this hotel!
This hotel is a bit older and a bit Jersey-shore, but the views from the high floors over the ocean are incredible, particularly at sunrise. The rooms were excellent as well. Our '2 bed' was actually 2 bedrooms (room 1254). One bedroom was a queen bed and then the second bedroom was a queen bed plus 2 bunk beds. Then the main room had a kitchen AND a pull out bed. 5 beds for the price of 2! I liked it here.
My family stayed at your hotel last week and we would come back again. Your lobby, view and our room was perfect. We also enjoyed the breakfast every morning.
Rooms are spacious and very accommodating. Love the spacious balcony and rocking chairs. We had a great view of the ocean. Continental breakfast every morning has a wide variety and something for everyone. Easy access to the beach and pools/lazy river. Great place to stay for a great vacation!
Clean, well located. Only one front desk person wearing the face mask properly, the other one wearing it on her chin. For some reason, didn't get any of the "Hilton Gold Member" drinks or goodies (were they out? Other people got it). Every staff wearing mask. Breakfast served by brown bag using strict COVID precautions.
Spacious suite, nice decor. Accommodations were superb. My only gripe was the food cart by the pool. I ordered a children's burger and hot dog and it took 45 mins. My sister ordered 2 burgers for her kids and 1hr later they still hadn't put the food on the grill to cook. There wasn't many people waiting, so the long wait made no sense at all. Other then that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
I have been staying here for years as a family vacation, very clean, loved it. They are always willing to help if needed, and so family friendly. I loved it and my children wouldn't go anywhere else..
The hotel was beautiful. The staff was great. We only had one complaint: the parking deck needs better signage. When we arrived, we had to park on the lower deck, and there were no signs telling us which way to go to get to the main lobby. We found steps, but they only led outside.
Wonderful place to stay! Rooms were spotless, staff very friendly, pool and grounds immaculate! Breakfast was delicious and pantry staff very friendly! Highly recommend!
Room condition. Property location and continental breakfast buffet all these are excellent. But the maintenance is bad our room keys were not activated, room AC didn't work and maintenance was not available to fix at that time. We booked a two bedroom but used one bedroom and slept in living room for one day since the second bedroom had no ventilation and AC was not working. I am still giving three stars because of all other positives. I might give it a try next time. Their pool had access from outside and an intruder was reported and securities came in time to remove them. Parking is in same building basement which is one more plus.
Ocean view, easy access to the beach. Great place if u want to just relax n do nothing n look at / go to the beach all day. Amazing breakfast. Very friendly staff especially that one lady that serves breakfast.
Rooms n hallways a little smaller than you would find in other hotels.
One of my favourite Hampton Inns, with really nice, seaside decor and an outstanding ocean view. If you are an early riser, sunrise is a spectacular event. If you are a nighthawk, the moon over the ocean is very moving. I highly recommend that you pay the extra for an ocean front room, and if you get the second or third floor you have the benefit of being able to park at the same level as your room (making luggage way easier to manage), have a great view and still be low enough to hear the sound of the ocean from your balcony.
The check in experience was amazing. We felt like we had just arrived home, so warm and inviting. This is a must stay destination at Myrtle Beach, wow!!
Recently stayed four nights in December 2016 at the Hampton as my son was graduating from the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach. What a fantastic hotel, our beach front suite included kitchen living area and 2 great bedrooms. The staff was courteous the room was cleaned thoroughly each day and the view was spectacular. Each mornings complimentary breakfast was excellent (try the waffles) and the indoor pools were nice. Parking was indoor and there's plenty to do close by. I plan on spending some time there soon when the water is a little warmer, however we were still able to get out on the beach for a walk as it was 75 degrees on 12/18/16.
We liked it here! The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. There were cookies in the afternoon. The breakfast was good and included fresh squeezed juice and smoothies. The outdoor pools were very fun for the family!
