This is a typical Hampton Inn. Clean, comfortable, free and decent breakfast. Definitely a good value. My only problem with this one is the speed and coverage of the wireless internet. A relatively minor concern though.

Standard room, nothing special. Will only provide room service once a week, unless you specifically ask for something. BIGGEST CON, the internet at this Hampton Inn is HORRIBLE. I've stayed in alot of hotels, in alot of states and countries as I travel alot with my company. Both of standard, and Hilton Honors Diamond internet are the worst I've ever had to deal with. They constantly drop, terrible speed, even when connected most of the time there's no internet.

Its impossible to use the internet for work, or recreation. Highly considering going to a farther away Holiday Inn for this reason alone.

Love this hotel and location. Large parking lot to accommodate trucks, two different restaurants within walking distance. Cozy rooms with the necessary amenities and attractions nearby. A must stay.

Good service. Nice staff. Rooms are good. Very convenient with lots of outlets. Only thing is the location itself. Dont know what all is around to do here.
Have to say, the staff really does a great job here and the cleanliness is amazing.

I ve probably stayed in 20 different Hampton Inns in the North East and this is definitely on the better than average scale. New and clean, friendly staff. Parking excellent. Very good nightly rate. I usually skip breakfast but their breakfast looked pretty typical for the Hampton Inn brand (free and decent). Kid friendly hotel, close to three or four easy restaurants. A no brained if you re staying in the area.

The entire staff has been polite and helpful, but Manger Ollivia went above and beyond with her service to help me resolve an issue with my bank. Beyond that, the room and facilities are clean and well kept. Thank you for your hospitality.

This was a great hotel for a quick overnight stay. Since we checked in early via the app, the cards and such were waiting for us on arrival which was really nice. The staff were great and the breakfast in the morning was refreshingly nice.

Well, it s 7:45 PM. I returned after dinner, through the lobby, at 7:05 PM. After getting to my room, I remembered Hamptons often have cookies in the evening. It took my 4 attempts in 40 minutes to get an answer on the front desk phone; I had called while working in my room to see if any cookies were being served. I was told three dozen cookies were put out at 7 PM. I never saw any when I passed through the lobby at 7:05 PM. . Sad. I look forward to the cookies, AND service at the front desk answering the phone!

Booked a room at 2pm got to the hotel at 10:30pm and our room was canceled... The front desk had no clue as to why it was canceled and gave no explanation other than it was showing someone "unknown" had canceled the reservation

The hotel is very nice. My room was clean, inviting, comfortable. There was a USB port for my phone charger, plus 2 110 outlets in the nightstand, making unplugging the alarm clock to charge my phone unnecessary. Plus refrigerator and microwave built in under the television. A real closet for your clothes (should you not like looking at your clothes hanging). The bathroom is inviting, no noisy fan intergrated with the light when you turn it on. A long counter on which to spread your personal items. What will stop me from ever staying at a Hampton Inn again is the poorest excuse for cable television. Four ESPN sports stations in a very limited range (maybe 15?) of stations. For the rest of us, we have such delights as: A&E. Bravo. Discovery. Who watches these stations? There are the major stations, of course, and thankfully, TNT and USA. Not much more. I believe this is the poorest excuse for cable I've ever seen in a hotel. Especially for the price. I would expect this from Motel 8, but not at $125 a night. The continental breakfast had the variety of food one expects in a larger, higher-priced hotel, and even brown Bags "to go" for those in a hurry.

We've stayed here a couple of times, mainly due to inclement weather as we drove from the NYC area to Maryland. The service is great, the rooms are good, and the rates are quite reasonable. Check in without reservation is quick, and it was easy to get a pack and play up for the kid. I think that this is THE place to stay when en route from NYC area to Maryland. The thing to do is check in here and then go to the nearby Applebee's.

I was in town for my father while he was in hospice care. After extending multiple times, my stay ended up being 5+ weeks, from the beginning of March into April, 2020. Neco and the entire staff were so accommodating, friendly and compassionate, even while being stripped to a skeleton crew due to COVID 19. Anything we wanted or needed they were there to help or provide. I can't say enough about them and how hard they all worked to keep the hotel clean and stocked.

Room was clean, staff were very helpful and friendly. Even though it was renovated in the last couple years, it still looked a bit "under" the normal warm environment I am used to for Hampton Inn. Shower tubs are VERY slippery.

Never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn. Breakfast at this one is particularly exceptional. Attentive staff, GREAT choices... had biscuits and gravy this morning with scrambled eggs and sausage. Fresh fruits were available, as well as cold cereal and pastries. We had a large group with us and the staff didn't blink an eye, and kept up with the rush. 2 thumbs up!!

Room wasn't the one we booked and the rate was wrong. The breakfast buffet was great, room was clean and tidy! Celeste was very helpful!! The girl who came on after her was not. Didn't want to give us extra pillows or a blanket. We would stay again though, every place has grumpy employees who get things wrong.

Place was very clean and right off the highway. Probably the nicest hotel you will find in the area. Rooms need updating, but we're still comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is the best I had in a hotel. Great for a one-night stop. Will stay again if in the area.

I stay here periodically when traveling for work. Overall the hotel is nice. The beds are comfortable, the staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate any request I've made and the breakfast selections offered are very good. I have experienced some issues with some of the rooms I've occupied - specifically with cleanliness and disrepair. However, these issues were addressed immediately after I reported them and if they couldn't be resolved, I was moved to a new room. My biggest complaint is about the dire need for renovations in the rooms. The wallpaper is peeling or ripped, the lampshades are splattered and stained, the floors are dirty, the mini refrigerators don't seem to work very well, and the walls are scuffed. It gives the otherwise nice hotel a dilapidated feel.

Very friendly staff, the best chocolate chip cookies served at check-in (with milk). A few minutes after we got the room, front desk called to ask if everything was to our liking. There was a small issue and they resolved it within few minutes.

This place needs a serious upgrade. Then again, it's pretty clean, so if you're on a low budget, try them out, but if you can sprint for a little extra, upgrade. Or you'll wake up next morning feeling every single spring from the mattress.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Pennsville as a last-minute guest. The room was clean and the staff quite friendly and helpful. The coffee in the lobby was cold, though, and the room small for the price. I was lucky to get the room, however, as it was a sold-out night.

Convenient location to the highway. Stayed in a handicap accessible room and the shower was awful. Water went all over the bathroom floor and even leaked onto the carpet of the main room. Otherwise everything was fine. Free breakfast in the morning is slightly better than continental, but nothing special.

One of Hamptons lower-priced hotels when visiting the Wilmington, DE area. A few nearby restaurants including Applebee's, Cracker Barrel , and a few fast food places. Rooms and Lobby are clean and modern - no problems here.

Fine

Hi everyone, the hotel is clean, in a great location and priced reasonably. The GM Ollivia is great. This hotel definitely deserves five stars but there s one problem standing in my way from doing that.

There is one host that is terrible, her name is Theresa. Every time either myself or anyone I work with encounters this woman, there is a problem. She s is rude, controlling and at times downright nasty. I have actually witnessed this woman playing games with people checking in at the front lobby. It is a shame. Is this down not turnaround I won t be able to continue staying here.

While I was reading other reviews and one of the comments I saw a few times was the room was canceled. As for the room being canceled I have witnessed this twice. Once myself. The room is billed to the car before you arrive, if for some reason it doesn t clear up your room is canceled. Our corporate office uses a card to hold the room but it will not allow rooms to be charged. I have never seen a hotel pre-charge the room before you arrive. This is not happened in the last few visits I ve been there.
