A really lovely state park. Well maintained and easy to walk around. The quarry is beautiful, and getting down to the water is easy enough if you want to. Just don't swim in it. If you do want to swim, the beach is not far off, and the cliff out there let's you see pretty far out.

Here we find a natural park north of Rockport, you can walk around 3-4 km between great vegetation and the bay. You will see a small lake that is the Quarry and on both sides you can go to the bay to take great pictures.

We love the trails, climbing on the rocks to the ocean, and the seabirds. You can take a nice walk in a loop around the whole perimeter plus the inner trails around the old quarry are also pretty. It fills up in summer... Small parking lot. In Winter trails can be icy as they hold water.

Pretty short hike with wood chips and pebbled trails. All of the look-out points showed beautiful sights of both the quarry and the coast. Careful on the slippery rocks, but good for a picture by the rocky waves :)

Tranquil during the day, gorgeous at sunset if you're at the right spot for the colors to explode like in the photos u posted, that's straight from the camera, but things need to align for it.

This place is really awesome but it's two stars because of the DCR staff. These geniuses close off the parking lot for hours even though there's open spaces and deny entry forcing people to park on the street FOR NO REASON. Not trying to insult their egos but a having one guy in the lot counting the spots and one guy at the front would be a better solution. Just my two stars.

A delightful find. I was hoping for more of a hike, and it's not that kind of place. It's more suited to finding a cozy romantic spot to sit and enjoy nature. If you like relaxing by the sea in a picturesque setting, or exploring tidal pools then this is a top notch destination.

Absolutely worth the trip.

Absolutely worth the trip.
But get in early, say by 10 am on a fall Sunday and way earlier during the summer, as the small parking lot fills up quickly and then the entrance is closed.

Beautiful approach to the ocean. Sitting on the granite rocks really gets one grounded, and the surf with the passing ships are just added beauty. The quarry is interesting. There was a dance troupe practicing their weekly performance.

Beautiful, easy walk around the quarry with views of the ocean. Could spend half a day here. Good for children and dogs, easy to find shady spots to rest. The Tower was closed due to Covid-19 but restrooms were open. Will definitely come back!

Just wanted to follow up on a comment someone else made. We visited Halibut Point today. The cost is indeed $20 for out of state visitors to use the parking lot, but the bathrooms were open, very clean, and well stocked with soap and sanitizer. The park itself is lovely, shady paths for wandering, beautiful songbirds flitting about, the massive quarry with ocean views beyond, a rocky coastline for exploring tide pools, and a well maintained natural oasis. It was a Monday so no crowds and we were able to find a nice seat by the water with no one around to cool off and relax. I d say pack a lunch and make a half day of it to get your $20 worth if you re offended by the cost. We however enjoyed the experience.

Really cool rocks here. Like big big rocks. Rocks you can walk on. Rocks to jump on. Lots of cool rocks to take pictures on. If you like rocks, go here. If you don't like rocks, well, don't go here. Anyhow cool place. We parked down the street to avoid paying for parking. Smart idea. Parking was only $10 if I remember right...

Parking is terrible and attendants are very rude when trying to ask a question.

Driving an hour there may not be worth it if you can t get in and are not allowed to wait nearby for spot to open up.

Nice little park with parking. Here fee $ 5 if with mark MA, otherwise $ 10.
Past an old, water-filled quarry to the rocky coast with magnificent views. With break about
1.5 hours. Mini restroom at the parking lot.

Fantastic destination for outdoor hikes, runs, and walks with dogs. Fairly secluded and private, but also well maintained and beautiful. Access to the rocky beach. Views of New Hampshire and Maine coastline on a clear day.
