Great place! Delicious food, really like the vibes of the place!!!

Our waitress Brandi was the only good part of this experience. The manager was harassing his staff and irratable to us as well. The chicken was dry and the bowl I had was flavorless. The best part of my meal was the mango margaritas made by Brandi.

Good food, but WAY too expensive for what you get. Go here if someone else is paying.

People are nice I got the feeling they were clowning me. Guess the food was alright, nacho carnitas were sweet unfortunately and it was watery at the bottom of the box which Im assuming was from the beans i hope.

great find off the interstate. We went in during lunch and the place was very busy. surprisingly we ordered and were served in under 10 min. I would definitely recommend this place for a fast fresh lunch.

This is a fan fave amongst our team!! We order it more than we like to admit. The Taco Salad is our go-to. 10/10 recommend.

Went in at 3:15PM it was dead but it took 20 minutes to get cold food. I also asked for no cheese and there was cheese in the box I also asked for no cilantro on my rice and since there was some cilantro in the pico de gallo they just gave me diced tomatoes instead without asking.

I also inquired about white corn tortillas and the gentleman in the kitchen aggressively stated that corn tortillas only come in yellow and blue. The two gentleman in the kitchen were playing around and not having any sense of urgency so I figured they were waiting on fresh ingredients to cook.

Food was cold and I had such high hopes!

Spending $14 on a meal for 1 you definitely don t get what you pay for. I would like to be refunded for sure!

First and only time we went to this restaurant and will never be back. After spending the last 31 years working in customer service this ranks as the worst customer service experience from a manager at any place I've ever been . I agree with the prior customer food experience as our food was also delivered at room temperature. When I addressed the manager he called me a "deal-chaser" because I used a coupon that he used to get business in his door. His wife was sweet enough to remake the burrito at the correct temperature but I was told under NO uncertain terms by her husband that he didn't care if I liked the temperature of the food. He made it about him being right and me being wrong. I am guessing the husband did not attend a customer service class nor has he ever heard of Dale Carnegie training. He came across as uneducated and arrogant. It's hard to correct a problem when you see yourself as flawless so I wish Mr. Obnoxious the best and I hope Trump builds a wall around his restaurant. He stated that no one has ever complained about his food and the temperature but other reviews state differently. If you look at the prior review before mine..... behold the same problem, coincidence I think not. My husband and I were disappointed in his demeaning tone, and it went a little like this: "Well what do you want me to do about it?". My husband and I were stunned at this incredible rudeness. At that point I decided that I just wanted him to go away so I explained I just wanted to inform him of our issue but he continued to pressure me and said please do not come back to my restaurant. So if you want to feel like family pull up a seat at Fresh Mex, the owner is sure to please! We both heard and saw him muttering about our situation all the way back to the register. I've never been treated so horribly in my life by a restaurant manager. We, along with all of our friends and family, will never go back to this place and they will be hearing from the Better Business Bureau about our experience. If you are having a bad day don't yell at your customers, they pay your bills!

Wonderful food! I was very hesitant to try this place and I truly regret that. I have tried many things, mainly specials or just random things, but I have yet to find anything bad. The only thing I have found better somewhere else is the salsa but that is due to my taste. I like cilantro and for it to be spicy and no one can make everyone happy.

My go to when I'm in Jacksonville! Charles makes GREAT margaritas and always keeps me entertained a d makes me feel welcome. Bever had a bad meal here. The salmon salads......life bowls and fajita quesadillas are all amazing! But Charles makes the place my go to!

Overpriced for below average food. Disappointed. Had the quesadilla. Do yourself a favor and go to any other Mexican restaurant. Shoot, Taco Bell would be better.

Great fresh ingredients, well prepared by friendly staff. Margaritas are some of best best, fresh fruit and real juice added. Specials are great values and nice spice on the blackened dishes but not burnt. Will return often...

I only post a 5 star for a free churro, but they were kinda pushy about it soo....

First time at fresh mex and wish it was In my town . Very fresh and great much better tan Moes chipotle and willys . James was very friendly and helpful with menu . Ordered scrimp fish and carne Assad s tacos. All wonderful . Will be back when in town.

We have visited there for months now, great food until today. I always order smothered chicken burrito. Today the food was cold and the chicken tasted burnt. I notified the cashier and was immediately accused of trying to get free food. No, just trying to let them know of the discrepancy I had. I had already paid for the food. She said they always cook the chicken the same way, but the manager informed me that they were used a new grilled chicken. But he offered to replace the food. By that time I didn't want a replacement due to the accusations of the rude cashier

Fresh relaxing comfort feeling when you first walk in, employee at counter was friendly, very outgoing , and quick to welcome you asking to take order.

This is about the 4th or 5th time here and consistent Since the first time I ate here.

Just like the first time, I took the first bite of the Chicken LIFE bowl with a little side of guacamole and boom.... taste buds were having a party. Just like the environment of sitting in here to eat, food was fresh, crisp, clean, relaxing, invigorating.... just gave me good feels an absolute positive experience... not just tasty food, an absolute positive experience!

Note To Owner:You may want to update your website since it says open 7 days a week! People get out & drive there thinking it s open on weekends according to your website, but you are closed.

Came in here 2 weeks ago but I m just getting to this review since I ve got some down time. Place was nice and the ambience was comfortable. Food was really good but when I asked the cashier if they will get my tip directly that I left on the tablet they couldn t answer and just beat around the bush. Seems suspicious to me because normally someone would answer yes or no... I know some places where the owners keep the servers or cashiers tips which I hope isn t the case but I ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe next time I go for a taco they ll have a more clear answer. Overall an okay place

I would not have even given the 1 star but the Review system requires at least 1 star to be chosen. This is by far the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. I came here for lunch back in November and the food was great so I was in the area & came back. This place has gone down hill very quickly. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. The management (male & female) were very unprofessional with their conversation directly in front of customers They both were beyond rude! Save the personal stuff for after work or at least not in front of customers. I was highly disappointed that my experience going back was just simply horrible.

The food is tasteful to use the first word that comes to mind; Not to mean it lightly either. Alot of places have a lot of artificial flavors but the each place I have gotten since the opening has taste unmatched and natural! Great staff as well. Thanx Fresh Mex

First things first fresh-mex has the best barbacoa hands down. I spoke to the owner today and he was just so passionate about everything they make here and it shows in the food. The place is super clean the staff is super friendly and I come here sometimes twice a week.

Had several problems with our order including shrimp that was undercooked. Also kind of expensive for how much food and the quality.

Very fresh and delicious food! We tried this place for the first time today, and we ll be back! The grassroots fish tacos were great with the perfect blend of heat from the chipotle mayo and sweet from the fruit salsa. The queso and chips were very good, too! Support this locally owned restaurant and give it a try! :-)

I stopped by for the first time for lunch because it was near my afternoon meeting. I was super impressed! Food was AMAZING. Cery flavorful and Quick turn time. Jamerah was very helpful and made sure I was taken care of. I will be back with friends.

Ordered a. Barbacoa and literally has no meat in it. Nothing but RICE and a lil veggies. I thought Barbacoa has meat. Go MOES or anything but this joint...$18 wasted...

Aptly named, perfect kind of Mexican food. They do not over cook their shrimp like just about every restaurant and their barbacoa is delicious. Only wish their queso was a little thicker.

I was not very impressed with this place. The food was OK, nothing to write home about. I opted out of finishing my chicken taco, it was really bland. The guac was decent. The guy that took my order at the counter was very friendly, but the person delivering the food was not. Also, they didn't have lids for their to-go cups. Probably wouldn't choose to go back here.

My first visit to this restaurant and I ended up with stale chips with my order. And the chicken that came included was ice cold. I returned my order and got my money back. I m never coming back here again.

I m obsessed with this place. My office is 5 minutes away and we order from here weekly. The food isn t heavy so you feel great after eating. There are plenty of options, but the chicken and mahi life bowls are our favorites. The staff here is also amazing. They are always positive and happy to help you. The guy upfront is an absolute doll. I love him!!

Went on a Thursday night around 8 when it wasn't busy at all. Ordered some tacos and my wife ordered a steak quesadilla. She requested no black beans on the quesadilla as she can't stand them. We sat down and promptly received our queso and chips, which was amazing. The food came out after about 15 mins and my wife immediatly noticed beans on the quesadilla. We sent it back to be remade, problem is it took about another 15-20 to get the corrected one back. I understand they make things fresh and that is great. Just frustrating when the kitchen isn't even busy they couldn't get it right to begin with when it was clearly shown on the ticket. That is the only reason for 4 stars, food was great otherwise.
