I love this restaurant! The food is very good since I am a HUGE fan of mexican food. This will definitely not be the first time i ll be here!

I absolutely love freshmex there food is always good no matter what I get . The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The atmosphere was very welcoming and everyone was kind and courteous. All of the food is and sounds delicious. Will return again.

This place is incredible. I come here every time I m in town. Freshest food and the service can t be beat. Mike, John and the crew here do a fantastic job.

Barbacoa and Carnitas are very flavorful. Churros are excellent. Good food but too expensive for an everyday lunch.

Mark took great care of me. Q grilled up be best chicken cheese steak tacos I've ever had. The fresh salsa tops the cake. I do not drink but hear they have great margaritas.

The Blackened Salmon L.I.F.E. Bowl is amazing. Pair it with a side of Guac & Chips & you have a real winner!

Has the taco of the month special - 2 shrimp and street corn tacos with chips salsa and a drink. This was my first visit and the food was delicious!! Fresh veggies and made to order. I even added the mahi-mahi taco. Everything was full of flavor. I will be back!! Can t wait to try the drinks at the full bar.

Great location and full bar! Perfect place for after work dinner and drinks.

Food was not hot and lacked any real fresh flavor. A steak bowl with guacamole and a drink was $16. Not worth the money

This place is amazing!! Hubby goes on his lunch break everyday he works and I go any chance I can go have lunch with him!! Staff is awesome, and it s super clean. And it s healthy!!

Their Carnitas taco's are wonderful. They also have great queso and guacamole. Highly recommend for a lighter Mexican experience!

I brought a group of my coworkers here on Friday because they were very impressed with the catering service that was provided for my birthday a couple of months ago. This was the start of TPC weekend and the store was very busy even though we arrived 15 minutes after they opened their doors. Although the store was quite busy, the front staff Charles and Alecia checked in with us multiple times until we received all our food.

One of my coworkers got the salmon bowl and it looked so good I was almost jealous but the shrimp, chicken, and steak tacos, I got were just as delicious. The portions were very generous but the food was so good we didn t leave anything but empty plates!

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed with the food I ve ordered which is highlighted by a store with a nice atmosphere and staff that is friendly and attentive to customer service. If anything is ever wrong with an order, they will do anything to make it right until you are satisfied.

Came by this place during lunch hour because its well lunch! I ordered the chicken nachos and tex mex roll and I must say DELICIOUS. The place was not overly crowded. My food came out hot and the nachos are a huge portion (shareable if you wish!) The cashier was friendly gave me a couple options but I played it safe. I wish i could give 4.5 stars due to the gentleman (bartender) I heard him say he was. I watched carefully as he checked in on tables and made sure everyone was pleased. He never asked me. He even made eye contact I smiled he nervously looked away. Still not one word spoken to me as an individual.
I will definitely give this place another try because after a while you get use yo people being people. Everyone else was nice the place was clean. My skin will remain black and my money green. I will not let one person steer me away. Maybe he was having a bad day when it came to me. Its Monday right!

The Mahi tacos were amazing. Staff was outstanding, it was our first visit here and the staff went over everything on the menu with us,told us their faves and why We loved it.

I read all the reviews before going. So I decided to try it. I was from out of town on a business meeting. The staff was nice
But I was a little disappointed in the food and the watress that brought it to me. She never came back to check on me and I had already left her a tip when I paid before getting my food. I ordered the fajatas and the meat and veggies were very bland no seasoning. The salsa they bring you is good.

Everything is always fresh and delicious.. perfect place for anyone vegan or trying to be... I tryefd them last week and been back 3 times... I love this place

Went for a working lunch and we put our order in and my coworkers lunch came out and mine didn't come out for another 30 min. They were almost finished eating by the time my meal came. I ordered a quessadilla those usually don't take so long. We did ask and we kept getting told it will be a few more minutes by a couple of different employees.

Nicely decorated, friendly service but what I ordered was fairly bland. I am not a fan of white rice in my burrito. I also prefer ordering at my table, not up front at a counter.

Greatest Happy Hour around. $3 drafts, $3 Margaritas, $3 Nachos. Nachos 9/10 and the margarita is superb. The place has a wonderful atmosphere and the bar has an outside section. Charles is great. This is our favorite after work place to go. The shrimp quesadilla was amazing when I had it as well. Usually at night they are not busy at all. Service is fast and food is delicious.

Visuted on their 4th opening. Very nice place. Food is very flavorful. Pricing is perfect. Thought it would be more expensive considering the location. My daughter ordered a kids bowl. The size was perfect for a kid. I tried the fish taco & veggie taco. Both delicious. Service was great. Met the chef. Very pleasant. Overall experience was great. Friendly atmosphere! Family friendly or even just a date night.

Enjoyed dinner at Fresh-Mex. I had the blackened salmon l.i.f.e. bowl and it was awesome. The food is fresh and the staff was friendly and went above & beyond to ensure that we had everything that we needed or wanted. It was Saturday night and it wasn t busy. Apparently this is still a secret to JAX. Give it a try. You won t be disappointed!

Wow! This place is a hidden gem! The food is outstanding. I ve tried most things on the menu, the life bowls are very refreshing and full of flavor. Tacos are perfect for a quick bite. Don t leave without trying a handmade margarita. The staff is attentive and full of life and will have you laughing by the end of your time there. Enjoy!!

Amazing food! We loved all the fresh ingredients. The marinated steak was great... both times we ate there. My five-year-old even raved about his kid's chicken bowl. It's nice to have healthy kids menu options! I recommend trying them out. And be sure to order a from-scratch margarita with your meal....

Kaitlyn is the best bartender....she has a great attitude and makes the best drinks....

For the price, their low carb option isn't a great value.

It was just ok. I had the barbacoa burrito and husband had the mahi burrito special. The flavor was not bad or good. Just ok. The burritos come with a side of chips and salsa salsa. The salsa was mild, which I liked. Not too hot. It was a little watery but good and seemed fresh.

The employee was great. Nice place. Can't wait to come back.

My son and I had lunch today and it was our first time. The recommendations were wonderful, staff was friendly, the decor was great, and the food was amazing and fresh. I have found my New Fav Mexican restaurant! Highly recommended.

Went there for a quick bite at about 2:30 with a friend. I had a grilled shrimp "life bowl." It was fantastic! The shrimp were perfectly grilled, and the guacamole was fresh and delicious. I love the tasteful decor as well. Next time I go back I'll sample the full bar. This is a locally-owned restaurant -- the owner was on hand to chat. Definitely a great meal, and definitely will return.

They mahi life bowl was amazing and the staff was very helpful.

This was my first time here and I had a good meal. I got a steak burrito, smothered. The quest and steak were excellent. The rice is also quite good (cilantro perhaps?) but there was probably a bit too much of it in the burrito.

The staff was very friendly and suggested some of their house sauces. The hot salsa and Chipotle aioli are both great.

I'm not in this part of town often, but I will be back!

Super friendly staff. Tasty margaritas. Full Bar. Fresh ingredients. Yucca fries are awesome. Hot to the table. Pork carnitas tasted a little scorched but my friends carne asada tacos and chimichurri steak were great. Wil return.

The first time that we ate at Fresh Mex we got the taco salad and the Tex Mex rolls. They were awesome and we reallt enjoyed them. Unfortunately, the past 3 trips we could not say the same. The ingredients have not been the same for the past 3 meals. One time we have lettuce but no tomatoes, then we have we have no tomatoes nor tortilla strips, and tonight we have no lettuce and they added rice. Maybe the server wasn't aware of the changes to the taco salad, but I did ask if they had made any changes. It's not that I won't go back, but I probably won't order a taco salad when I do go back unless it matches the ingredients on the menu. Other than that the food is still good and fresh.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Jax. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing!! Everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in Jacksonville. Fast, Tasty, FRESH and absolutely Highly recommend! 5 Stars

Love the clean, modern look of the store and amazing food!!

Very personal experience. The staff was very attentive and I really felt taken care of. The place has a Chipotle vibe with a slight upscale appeal. Very clean and I like the emphasis on healthy food options. They have a sour cream dispenser which was unique. I'm from out of town but whether you're a local or visiting I'd highly recommend. I'll surely be back during my next visit.
