Very friendly staff. They have good food and drinks. A nice vibe coupled with a clean establishment makes for a great time.

Easy in/out in a very busy strip mall. Food is ok, the cheese they use has a very low quality flavor to it and for the price, the burrito I had didn't have very much meat in it. Also given their Chipotle like menu it takes a long time until your food shows up at the table (order at the counter, food delivered to your table format). Not a bad place but not my first choice in the area.

The name says it all. Very fresh! Very flavorful. The meats are very tasty and do not need sauces, but the sauces and salsas are great as well. I will be back frequently!!

Very good, fresh Tex Mex. A higher class spin on Chipotle with a longer menu and a bar. Tacos and bowls are good portions. The food is a little above average cost with entree specials starting at $9.99. The barbaqoa and the grilled shrimp come highly recommended from both my husband and myself.

Was the worst experience for a food restraunt. The quesdia I purchased tasted like it had can chicken on it and it was like they forgot to drain the water off before putting in the tortilla shell.

Great place. We stopped to meet up with family and decided to eat at the bar. Charles was our server and he was fantastic. The food was delicious. We all got 's. Yummy

Food is fresh and tasty. Beer is cold and crispy. Barbacoa Burrito is the bomb diggity.

Staff is friendly, however food is horrible. Puddle of grease in the bottom of the to go containers. Food is burnt.

Amazing food and outstanding service. Mad props to the owner for working so hard with his employees. Don't see that too often. Will definitely be coming back. Ohh and the chocolate chip cookies were wonderful.

The basic bowl with salmon was fresh, pllentiful and delicious.

The food is amazing. Everything is fresh and flavorful. The service at lunch is better than dinner service. Best guacamole I have had in a while, for sure. Try a Life Bowl...they are outstanding.

We previously lived in Texas and had a hard time finding a great Mexican restaurant when we moved to Florida. Then we found Fresh Mex and Co., Urban Grill and Cantina in Jacksonville, Florida. The Margarita s are Terrific, the chips are light and flavorful, the queso delicious and the Tacos out of this world. Don t miss an opportunity to stop here and get some really fresh and wonderful Mexican Food. The owner is on site and a truly wonderful person and a former First Responder Fire Fighter....Come down and support the business.

Omg everything was so fresh and full of SAZON baby! So good! I got the taco salad with barbocoa and it was better than I expected. We all left full and satisfied! We will be back

Ordered a chicken bowl that had uncooked black beans. Heard the owner/manager argue with a employee in front of others. Overall experience was just annoying. If only there was a way to leave no stars.

The food is so good and fresh! The staff was super friendly. Katie was our server/bartender, and she was helpful with the menu and made great drinks! Definitely recommend this place for lunch/dinner.

It s seems to me that customer Service is not important to them. I go every so often for lunch takeout and my wait is up to 45 mins when it s completly empty. The staff does not care about assuring customers are tended to in a timely manor. While the owner is just standing around. I enjoy the food but with the customer service I may not return. And who ever the owner is I offer customer service classes for your team just let me know:

This place is terrible the menu hasn t changed in a year the owners have there kids running around the restaurant like it s a play ground not a good dining experience food quality is Alright same you but defiantly not the best it s like a healthy chipotle with a small bar there plenty of better options like true food kitchen the owners like to think there really cool lol I did work there for a week cause they were terrible owners true food kitchen where u wanna eat come see me I ll serve you amazing food

Best tex-mex restaurant in Jax! My girlfriend is super picky when it comes to Mexican food and she s loved everything she s had from this place. The staff here are great and you can tell the owner really cares about his place, he s always there working when we go in. Definitely eat here, you won t regret it!

Eat at this place. Happy hour is a deal that is difficult to beat, but regardless place has food that is 5. As someone that travels for business this is my new goto spot in jaxs. I had the pleasure of speaking with owner. Absolutely an individual that cares about his clients. He was concerned the steak I ordered was not up to par, and was going to call his supplier and inquire. It was up to par, but as a previoud owner of a premeir steak house in NYC, with legit family that manages multiple five star he knows the importance of not only food quality, but the connection to a customer. FreshMex is your place!

Jaxs seems to be a food desert, with multiple offerings of chick fillet,McDonald's , Sonic, and new potential franchise. FreshMex offers something local,and enticing for the the wayward traveling, and locals I recommend this place for all. EAT HERE!

We work right down the road from FreshMex and we come at least once a week. Great food, very fresh! Charles is awesome, we always leave with a smile!

Just like the name implies, this local gem has great FRESH Mexican fare! Fast, courteous service and delicious food. I recommend the Life Bowl with blackened mahi or chicken, yum!! Enjoy!

I came here for the first time and impressed. They took care of a large group of 30 really well.
I had their special, Mahi Mahi LIFE bowl with drink. Tastes very good.

Stopped in for lunch. Wasn't too crowded. You order first then pick your seat and they bring it to you. Owner even answered menu questions which was very nice and helpful. Food was very good. Had a big chicken burrito lunch special. Burrito wasn't stuffed with too many extras just chicken, rice, beans & salsa which I dig. Their Life Bowls also look fsntastic. They have signature sauces/salsa, would like to see more of it available or bigger servings of it. Hidden Gem: they have a FULL bar.

The food is great, but it's trying too hard to be hip. Its pricey compared to other Mexican restaurants in the area. It's a slightly better option for food other than fighting the traffic to go to the other restaurants in the jtb-us1 corner. Its definitely better than SmokenQ next door.

Outstanding spot for delicious Mexican food. Service is always prompt even when they have a full house. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. Bring your appetite because portions are large. They have so many reviews for a reason.

This place is amazing and has great vibes. The interior and exterior is simply devine and the food is inexpensive. My whole family loved it and we will definitely be back. The food was fresh and amazing and the staff was nice. The owner was very compassionate in the food and asked how we were. She was very nice and was very pleased that we enjoyed the food.

Charles was welcoming in greeting me and my co workers to an open bar seat. He was knowledgeable, upbeat, and energetic. The location is clean and well kept. The location is near the hotel I am staying at for work travel. The food is delicious! Service is awesome! Restroom are clean! Charles the bartender remembered my co-worker by name after our initial visit.

Go for the Barbacoa Bowl, you won t regret it! Fresh Mex is definitely a go to on my lunch breaks. Fast and friendly service :)

Delicious, truly fresh food which (understandably) comes at a price. I would suggest the barbacoa for it's full flavor and spice! Plenty of seating, very clean, helpful staff! Not a full-service restaurant so I'm not sure why so many complain about the service. If you order a bowl or burrito with lettuce you should expect the overall temperature to be low as they keep their greens refrigerated and allow the meat to sit before assembling.

Clueless staff, unbelievably rude manager. Owner does not return phone calls if you have any constructive criticism. Don't bother.

Food is decent. Prices are of the "nickel & dime you" fashion that so many of these walkup ordering places do when you want any semblance of a complete meal. The decor has somewhat of an identity crisis... Trying to be Tex-Mex, but just coming off missing something.

This is an honest 5 star review of an amazing experience at this restaurant. I wish they had more locations! The food is delicious and I love that the meat is antibiotic free with no added hormones.

Delicious vegetarian LIFE bowl. It was all very fresh and I loved it.

I ordered a life bowl and I enjoyed it. The atmosphere was very nice with a laid back rustic aesthetic. The manager was very nice and answered a bunch of questions for us before we ordered and even though it was a fast casual restaurant he checked on us a few times.

I ve been here on multiple occasions. Food is good, customer service is well, and I ve never had to wait for an extended period of time no matter the time I ve come. Highly recommend!!

The food was incredible. I has a carne asada taco, a barbacoa taco, and shared the trio appetizer. The queso was awesome. This is the best Tex-Mex food I have had in Jacksonville!

Staff was all around excellent and the food was delicious... drink specials were on point as well.
