I was passing through Gakona on my way back from prosecuting falsely accused native teenagers of murder, when I passed by HAARP. I decided to pull over and stay for the night at this resort.
WORST HOTEL STAY EVER!!!
First off, the customer service was embarrassing. Upon check-in, I was expecting to be greeted with a friendly and helpful bell-hop, but instead, they tried to tell me they did not take reservations, and also did not offer and AARP discount. I asked to see the manager and was taken to the back where I sat in metal chair in an empty room and told to wait. I waited for several hours, and when the manager FINALLY entered the room, our conversation was completely unhelpful and only left me more confused. He only asked me who I worked for and why I was here and what I knew, WHAT A PSYHO!!!
In addition to that, the surrounding area of the resort is not very inviting. Constantly changing weather patterns make it difficult to plan activities and loud, hellish sounds emitting from the sky make it hard to sleep at night.
The food was nothing to call home about. Room service was extremely slow, and when I finally did receive my food, I was fed canned peaches from the first World War and a pudding cup that made me feel weird.
If I had to give the resort credit for one thing, it would be the beautiful, Anatolian architecture. The giant, metal pillars throughout the grounds of the resort are so stunningly beautiful, you can almost feel the beauty radiate all over your body and tingle with excitement.
All in all, I would not recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing and pleasant getaway from the humdrum of everyday life. The hostile staff, the disgusting food, and boring surrounding area are not worth the reservation fee I payed with income tax, let alone the lobotomy I received as a cancellation fee.
