I recently came to the emergency room for a fractu...

I recently came to the emergency room for a fracture of the peroneus at the Saint Antoine hospital (quite quickly taken care of which gives them a point), after having a plaster, I came out with radios but without any work stoppage nor no prescription prescription for my plaster in the leg.
The days passing the state of my leg does not improve and I see colors not reassuring at the level of my toes despite my leg is constantly elevated. The doctor at the hospital advises me to take doliprane for pain and to keep my leg elevated to reduce edema.

Finally I decide to go to the emergency room of another hospital to check if my plaster is not too tight. The emergency doctor does not look too worried until he examines my cast and calls one of his colleagues to laugh.
They seem to hallucinate and find several points:
- My plaster is soft, crackling, does not hold my leg well and the plaster is completely disintegrated under the sole of the foot. Of course, the plaster has never been moistened.
- They ask me what prescription I received, I answer them: nothing but doliprane, they have a good laugh and gives me an anti-pain.
- They ask me if I do daily bites. I do not know what they are talking about And it gets sick again, they immediately give me a prick of anticoagulant and ask me in what wheat I went to do my plaster. Indeed with a plaster on a lower limb, I could risk a phlebitis without daily injection of anticoagulant.
Finally I leave with a lighter plaster, a prescription that is more reassuring and a foot that breathes better.

I do not know if I was unlucky but I think that if there is so much negligence for the installation of a plaster, it is not reassuring for the future. I think I will continue my care elsewhere than in this hospital.

After arriving in the emergency room, I spent some time in the hospital. Since then, I have been hospitalized another time and come to day hospital every month.
I am very well taken care of by the hospital as a whole and the caregivers in particular. There is here and there some grumpy but who can boast of being always in a good mood, always smiling every day? But, really, I find that everyone puts his and I feel really well treated, in every sense of the word :-)
For delays in emergencies, it is variable but it is rarely alone and it takes time to properly establish the diagnosis; I spent a battery of exams and if I waited, it is necessary that everyone should be examined. And there are emergencies more urgent than others.
Finally, medically, we take the time to listen to me, to heal, to calm my pain; the doctors / eresses are competent and human: it is certainly no longer the hospital of my youth, it is otherwise better!
Certainly, we will always find fault: we can find fault with everything, all the time and nothing is perfect. But I am very happy to have arrived at Saint Antoine one afternoon in November, in poor condition, to be treated!

Zero stars for a very, very bad experience in "EMERGENCIES"!

Due to a fall at the throne fair, my husband opened his skull with a lot of bleeding. The firefighters decided to transport him to "Hospital" Saint Antoine because the wound required stitches and he had a memory lapse.
Arrived at the emergency room, a nurse looked at the wound (without disinfecting it or whatever ... huge !!!) and we waited 5 hours to see a doctor. As we live in Chinon 3 hours away, we decided to go to the urgency of Chinon, because at the "hospital" of Saint Antoine, there is apparently a waiting time of 8 small hours for treatment.
Conclusion: If you want to suffer for 8 hours while waiting for an emergency doctor (or an intern ...), go for an unforgettable experience!

PS: In the emergencies of Chinon, my husband was treated immediately and in 5 minutes, disinfection and stapling and in addition the secretary was super nice (which was not the case at the other "hospital" ).

I do not really know if it is "correct" to rate a hospital but in any case very satisfied with the care and reception received. A lot of waiting (around 6:00 am) in the emergency room on a Saturday (but the staff had nothing to do with it and really did their best). Little waiting in other services when I make an appointment.

I was reluctant to come to Saint-Antoine after a bad experience at the CDAG a decade ago, but no choice: appendicitis to operate urgently. I waited reasonably in the emergency room, then was asked to stay overnight. I have waited a lot for my surgery but be a little patient, you are not alone, emergencies are behind the walls, you do not see them, the caregivers are so few (thank you the state of which I am a part), and I was not that urgent. The orthopedics staff where I was staying for lack of digestive space was great. Perfect operation. Really delighted: the public hospital always on top despite the pitfalls that puts the upper management in the legs! Continue with colleagues and keep your head up.

I had surgery in visceral surgery. I never felt so safe and confident in a hospital: I knew the surgeon would be competent, that was the reason for my choice to go there. But beyond that, the secretary who responds from the first call - yes, yes, it exists - to all the speakers, caregivers, nurses and nurses, everyone is friendly, listens, reacts quickly. ..
If it's possible, why not everywhere?
They and they are not better paid than elsewhere. Their schedules are the same. They are doing their best

Several experiences in emergencies and unfortunate...

Several experiences in emergencies and unfortunately still the same problems ... Following a scooter accident, we send my girlfriend home with a scarf. They did not see anything on the radio or the scanner. But the same images allowed a specialist to detect several fractures of the elbow ... For my part, I had asked about thirty stitches. 15 days later I had an appointment to have them removed. I said that I think it's probably a little early, the plague seems to ooze regularly. I am not a doctor, I trust ... The points removed, the wound is well open, the sutures, with the resorbable threads, inside are visible. As soon as I left the hospital, the wound bleeds ... My file was lost in less than an hour at the hospital, so I do not get the radios with which I came to my appointment.

I nuance my remarks by telling me that emergency doctors are nice and seem to do their best, but they are really outdated, sometimes in terms of skill, often ...

The emergency department and emergency department ...

The emergency department and emergency department endorsements are a disaster. there are only inexperienced interns who are not even able to interpret radiographs. They arrive to miss a fractured femoral neck of a patient aged 93 years, they will leave languish for more than 3 days. You can still try to attach the phone. No one answers or so if you are lucky someone picks it you always answer "No, sorry we do not have time to tell you more." It's a shame. It is disgusting to see that person does nothing to change that. The management condones diagnostic errors and our elders are treated like s ....

I regretfully join the negative opinions, but you have to tell the truth. Seven months pregnant, my wife fell heavily in the street and was sent to nearby Saint-Antoine with multiple abrasions, bruises and a severe ankle sprain. Reception in the emergency room was quick, as was the radio to check for fractures ...
And then nothing. She was abandoned for 2-3 hours on a stretcher in the hallway and without painkillers. No exam to check the health of the baby that she did not feel any more move whereas the nurses admitted themselves that that could be worrying. Refusal of ultrasound. Refusal to contact the maternity unit following the pregnancy. Basically, this young mother had to fend for herself by being injured. But the worst part is that afterwards a young intern came to regretfully tell her that they could do nothing more, gave her a prescription and asked her to free the stretcher and go home. My wife was in shock. No matter how much she reminded the staff that she could not walk (severe sprain, bruises), that she had no vehicle or relatives to pick her up, we just told her that she could not stay. And better still, we refused to accompany her at least to the entrance of the hospital, we asked her to go there by herself, walking and using the wall.
It was when she saw her dragging herself around the reception desk that one of the secretaries was scandalized, called a nurse, and the steps were taken to reach a taxi and bring her back to her home. However, I had to leave my work to come and collect it at the bottom of our building.
I am a caregiver myself, but I find the way in which an injured young woman was treated, who moreover could very well have had a miscarriage, without anyone moving!

Arrival in the emergency room by ambulance (since ...

Arrival in the emergency room by ambulance (since my work) because of very big vertigo with vomiting, a room full of people on stretchers that were suffering and waiting ... some very old, I thought I was in a country underdeveloped. I waited for myself in a corridor on a stretcher from noon to 8 pm! The staff was very rude, refusing to charge my cell phone so I could call someone ... And as only people who were screaming or drunk were being received, I ended up at 8:00 pm by calling a cab to get home, without having received any care (except for a quick measurement of blood glucose on my arrival). I understand, we are no longer cared for, the staff is overwhelmed, hostile, and without compassion. Very complicated to get treatment now in emergencies, or you must be able to get drunk or attack them, because they only care for those who disturb ... In my opinion very dangerous. In short, the next time, I will suffer in silence alone at home, I will do everything to avoid reliving this hell, even to suffer, and one day to die ... but at least I will avoid this vision of horror, this lack of humanity, and I will be calm and far from drafts.

In addition, while treating me in Paris, they gave me eight injections of anesthetic product without any effect ... The pain was extreme especially when they sewed me up!

Hello. I want to say hello to the staff of the hemotology department at Saint-Antoine Hospital. My father stayed there for several weeks and unfortunately he died. The staff I met in this difficult time was professional and very human to my dad and to ourselves. Thanks to them, he lived his last hours in tenderness and dignity. Thank you.

Two reasons for this note:

Two reasons for this note:
1. My aunt is hospitalized for two days, and cannot move from the bed. From day one she had her phone stolen, which was charging next to her pillow while she slept. This is what the hospital tells us when we report the situation to them: The hospital is a public place, no less dangerous than any other. You are responsible for your mobile. And no we don't have a camera in the hallway. So super safety for patients.
2. The infusion has been finished for 3 hours, for 3 hours she calls the nurses, but no one comes. So patient neglect.

Rip for those who will be transferred to this hospital :)

Supports disrespectful patients by doctors painkiller center of this hospital.
By day hospitalization, the wait is terrible for patients who are unable to sit a long time and the result of unprofitable waiting. The pain is minimized by some doctors who believe that do not sleep at night by the pain is not so bad!
In addition, schedules appointments when you set are not met by doctors who do not bother to apologize! Some doctors seem suffering from God complex!

In short very bad experience of this center. To avoid.

I went to this hospital to visit a friend. There was just a vigil at the first door to check my bag but no further security check I found it scary for patient safety.
The building / elevator looked poorly cleaned. Lack of staff, we took 15min to find someone to help us. I would advise against it from a visitor's point of view.

What to say ... First appointment with an hour late to finally spend not even 3 minutes in the office with the stomatologist.
Taking the future appointment at the reception, with strong impression of disturbing the secretary.
This morning I had an appointment for my dental extraction.
I arrive at the reception and the secretary (always so "amiable") told me that the stomatologist is not there and she sent me a mail notifying that the appointment had been delayed on October 26 !
However, I did not receive anything of it! And it is so called my mailbox that has a problem! While I received a week ago to day a confirmation of my appointment this morning with the convocation. And nothing in my spam either ...!
I am more than disappointed with this service, I will not set foot there!
And I do not advise anyone, except if you want to waste your time!

And I put a star because I have no choice to publish this message of course!

Hello, I am a patient of 20 years who had first ap...

Hello, I am a patient of 20 years who had first appointment in stomatology department, Mayer building to remove my 2 wisdom teeth on the left side. Already the reception is not smiling at all, they talk, they laugh and take their time, sometimes we wonder why these people work at the reception. During the first intervention, everything went well, the dentist did his job with an assistant who was there to give him the necessary tools. A second time (so 2 weeks later), I had an appointment on 27/10/2016 with the same dentist to remove my 2 wisdom teeth on the right side (that's where it starts to derail) . I sit on the operating chair because they performed a local anesthetic and this time there was a young woman who accompanied him. I heard my dentist say to this woman, "You come to assist me, you do the top and I do the bottom" (speaking of my teeth to remove). Already I found it a bit odd that he has an assistant who participates in my intervention but I was under stress and I had a desire it was that it ends quickly. So I look at the woman who is starting to use her tools to extract my tooth from the top but except that she had a lot of trouble and struggled for a long time trying to remove it until my dentist had to intervene. (I often close my eyes because I hate to see that). Then my dentist takes over and tear the bottom one with a little more time than the first time I had a meeting, in short he finally managed to tear me off, sews me, does what he has to do etc. Once at home, the anesthesia started to leave and I felt strong unpleasant pain ... I see that the gum of my molar located next to the wisdom tooth extracted, was peeled off. I repeat: The gum of my molar was torn, limit if I forced it with my tongue well I will have dropped it, so my family advised me to avoid touching this part of the gum and return at the hospital Saint-Antoine Monday if it would not pick up healing healing because it is outrageous that they did not pay attention to that. I will wait until Monday to see if it has completely healed, in the meantime I treat myself as it should be following my treatments. But it is unacceptable for my dentist to involve someone I do not know who in addition to participating in the operation and with no doubt little experience. The worst part of all this is to leave me in a plane without warning me that due to this operation the gum of my molar had taken off (it seemed that one had been wrong tooth to extract at first which means that it's because of this that my gum has taken off, so it's damaged, I'm going to wait for Monday to talk to them because it's unacceptable, I hate it too much !!! In addition it's been twice that I have my teeth removed wisdom and the dentist does not have the reflex to show my teeth torn.Personally I recommend this hospital!

Deplorable emergency services. They have no empathy. They complain of being overwhelmed and underpaid, but they do find time to smoke their cigarettes repeatedly or look at the colleague's vacation photos on their computer. Reception staff terrible. My 90-year-old mother lay almost 24 hours on a stretcher. Answer: the hospital is full, there is no bed, it is fine, you can go home .... lamentable!

Home dreadful and irresponsible. I find a psychiatric patient who is walking in the street. After half an hour looking everywhere I finally find someone has the reception of extremelents unpleasant who sends me in search of a guardian while the hospital is a real labyrinth. She refuses to take my report and sends me to walk in front of the next person. That's how you are received when you report to them a problem of their responsibility with the life of a patient in danger. We answer that it's Sunday and that's normal.

Arrival around 8 p.m. this Friday evening for a su...

Arrival around 8 p.m. this Friday evening for a suspicion of pulmonary embolism by my attending physician, the reception is doing its job wonderfully.
What follows is quite different .... I observed the doctors for 3h30, very busy discussing, laughing, ... No luck for them, their desk is visible to all the people who are on a stretcher.
The hours pass .... I am finally taken after 3:30 in a room to see a doctor. In the meantime, serious cases happen, which is normal especially for a Friday evening ...
After 3/4 of an hour in an isolated room, I finally tell myself the moment of the consultation! Shouldn't cry victory too soon!
He considers that I don't have to have an angioscan, we have to check the blood gas. He says he is inquiring about the exams and comes back. Another hour of waiting! And no one! I get up and open the door, I see him in the hallway and ask him if I haven't been forgotten. Responds annoyed as if I don't have to disturb him. I, who had not said anything since my arrival and who waited wisely yet tired, exhausted ... I take his attitude badly. I dress to go home because if it is to remain isolated in a room with the door closed until the early hours, I might as well be at home since no one would see me or hear me if I felt unwell.
When I leave I meet the doctor who tells me that I am irresponsible, that I have something. There begins a somewhat animated discussion ... Each finding the other irresponsible ... I ended up telling him that if something happens to me, it is he who will be held responsible!
I remember all the same that I was locked in an isolated room with the door closed and no way to see me if anything happened to me!
In addition I heard serious cases arrive and aware that I would not be taken care of for another 4 or 5 hours. You might as well have an appointment for the next morning! He does not hear that, he considers that I must wait! I was annoyed, I understood who should take care of serious cases, I had never said the opposite but what an idea also to wait for them to arrive to get down to work !!!
He ended up telling me (certainly to make me wait) that my file had been sent and that in a few minutes I would be doing the exams. I take it upon myself and tell him ok. After 1/4 of an hour person, I return to their office, I ask to collect the prescriptions of my attending physician. A second lively discussion ... The same exchanges mentioned above and ended up telling me that the time to take the exams and have the results, I would still be there in the early morning anyway ...
No but frankly what is this organization! Wait until midnight to work and have the pleasure of keeping all these people waiting unnecessarily! I also have personal obligations damn! I didn't go there for fun in the emergency room!
All that to say that I came home to rest, exhausted I couldn't do anything on Saturday. Not wanting to go back to the emergency room, I waited for Monday morning to go to a laboratory which tells me that this examination is only done in the hospital. Something that this "doctor" was careful not to tell me! I understand his attitude better, like anyway I don't care you're gonna have to come back. What irresponsibility! It is unacceptable ! Is he really there to heal or to have the pleasure of seeing all this suffering around him?
Currently I'm trying to get an appointment in another hospital and that by then I will hold out ... I'm bedridden, out of breath as soon as I move.

Remarkable hospitality, cold room, warm room, intensive care.
I particularly want to emphasize this in the face of all that is said about the hospital in France and that is sometimes true.
But I spent the whole day yesterday, accompanying an emergency; we only met friendly and caring people. Available and organized.
It seemed to me that my feeling probably also came from a very good streamlining of tasks upstream: each speaker (and they are many) seems in its place, communication between them seems fluid, their concentration on their task n ' do not prevent their kindness.
I could not believe it.
And so I told myself that "the inspiration" of this excellent organization could serve as a beneficial model for a maximum of services to the hospital (= if the director of St Antoine reads these words ...)
Thank you anyway.

Unfortunately, I had to go to emergency several times to bring my mother, very old, who has fallen several times, was even picked up in the street. I can only praise, willingly, the professionalism, and the immense patience (well almost always ..) face the stress of the person accompanying me. I am aware of having been sometimes difficult to manage! But my mother was always well treated, well oriented when it was necessary to hospitalize her elsewhere. One black point but necessarily common to all emergencies, waiting. The hours turn, turn, I get picked up because my mother has been moved to a cold zone or ... lukewarm, I do not know anymore. But hey, I know that the system is sick of human and financial resources and that despite this, I have rubbed shoulders with extraordinary people. Mom is no longer there but if it were to happen, I would not have the slightest apprehension to go to Saint-Antoine. I promise I will not abuse it.
A little anecdote, I accompany my mother to emergencies and myself I'm not very good. I have a painful pain in the lower back and waiting does not help, to the point that a nurse offers me to get treatment on the spot. to which I answer him that it is not urgent but that I would go to see my doctor very quickly. He replied with a smile that if everyone who did not have to go to emergency, did like me ...; I smiled too. And I went to see my doctor who prescribed what was needed with physiotherapy sessions ...

Arriving at the emergency room at 3:30 pm, to accompany my 86-year-old grandmother who had just fractured the neck of the femur, we waited until 4:00 in the morning to gather the opinion of a surgeon and that last organizes its transfer in a conventional service. The surgeon, an intern loquasse, was barely 5 minutes at his bedside and still wonders why, his passage was required to make his transfer to the room viable when the diagnosis had been made 10 hours ago. He did nothing more than emergency doctors met 5 minutes (too) upon arrival. Suffering the elderly, weakened, for hours square, on a stretcher behind a windshield, without particular supervision is simply unacceptable and shameful. As for its management in the orthopedic surgery department, the effectiveness of the nursing staff has yet to be proven. To wait, for 72 hours, on an empty stomach, patients waiting for a hypothetical descent to the block is simply unthinkable and yet this is what we have experienced and what many people are currently experiencing. A fracture of the neck of the femur is supposedly considered emergency but obviously for this surgery department ... impossible to meet the surgeon, to discuss with him, it is a ghost .... still in the operating room according to say nurses who make ramparts or internist doctor on call. You have to harass the medical staff to have some information and the privilege to talk for a few minutes with the anesthesiologist, a shame ... all that remains is the prayers to hope that the operation is going well and that their skills are justified when using the scalpel. Whole days of anguish for families and patients .... a two-speed medicine in a country plagued by a weakened health system ... it's high time to wake up ....

Arrived at the emergency 6:30 p.m., taken to a room at 10:30 p.m. and doctor who came to see me around 11:30 p.m. During the whole wait, no notion of the wait and no one answers you. And if you have an answer it's: "we have 2 doctors like all emergencies have to wait"
You have plenty of time to be unwell, and no one will notice.

Having only worked with two doctors from the department of digestive surgery, their politeness level with a simple '' Hello '' '' Pardon my delay '' (after more than an hour late for not even 10 min of consultation) would be to review ... and put into practice !!

The Emergency staff are very professional! I don't understand how they are always there to serve us all (demanding, finicky, nervous)! I also had a major fall on the street. During 7 hours of waiting in EMERGENCY! We are too many for them! I admire the people who work there! But where are our taxes going? Why are we no longer recruiting staff in hospitals? Why do we do nothing with the sidewalks - ice rinks that we do not break our faces ???

Good luck. You will have your teeth extracted from wisdom, no protocol to follow. Work at the chain like cattle. More than an hour late on schedule when you are well ahead and no excuse. Hygiene remains to be desired. To flee.
