We visited today, Nov. 25, the park was amazing. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The animals were healthy, well-fed, and seemed happy. They interacted with the visitors. My mom was riding in her mobility scooter and all the big cats were very interested in the scooter. The guides taught us about the difference between rescuing and re-homing the big cats. Some of the animals before they came to the park had been abused. The trainer explained how and what was wrong with each animal and why they were rescued. The cats were feed several times while we were there; red meat, chicken. You could tell the animals really loved their trainers. It was an amazing place.

Never seen that many tigers, specially that up close. We drove 6 hours from Texas to experience the interaction with tiger cubs and it was AMAZING Definetly worth it! Most of the staff was friendly and you can tell they do a great job with caring for these big cats. I recommend the VIP tour. We plan to come back and visit the new location... Take a chance and rate your own experience

My wife and I came from out of state specifically because her favorite animals are tigers. Not only was it an amazing time, but the staff was ridiculously awesome, funny and accommodating.

We had plenty of time with the animals. We got our tickets on Groupon so we paid $40 for two tickets through the guided tour. Paid the extra $80 to love on a baby li-liger and other babies and it was well worth it! We got to take as many pictures in our phones with the babies as we wanted, and the staff was so knowledgeable about the animals and it was clear they love what their doing.

Dont listen to the negative posts on here, it is well worth the drive, and money. The experience is amazing!!! Can't wait to come back!

Awesome place. Although pricey to some, the tour is fun since you interact with animals near the end of the tour. Animals are active, especially the lions and tigers. Definitely would come again.

The group tour was way too big couldn't see anything. Specifically asked about the baby tigers was told we had to do the two hour tour for that then later hear the employee say you can do private play with them. The employees are super rude and have a bad attitude. Unorganized and inefficient. The facility needs air conditioning and more bathrooms. Bad experience

Some of the staff here need to be removed and replaced in social classes- that's where they really belong. Also, the pricing is a bit too expensive and there are too many people at once to even have fun. These people act like they got no time for you and seem too busy too to even be there (Age is probably getting to them pretty bad). Overall bad experience is what some of you will pay for and if you had a good time here, then just realize that you got pretty lucky.

This place was pretty cool... we decided to take the tour with ERIC & he was the best one in the whole place to us! The main guy was out sick so Eric led us around & you can tell the animals love him & he loves them! I will say when you first get there you have to do research before going because the people at the front desk had horrible customer service... we was afraid to ask any questions being our first time there we was confused on things to do or all the rules that come with the tour! No phones, no camera's, no purses or anything like that so i would keep them in your car or you have to put them in a locker until tour is over & we did not like that... i understand it was for safety so i totally get that but it would have been nice to know exactly what to do & what was gonna happen step by step before being pulled out of the group bc my mom had her purse/$ to go put them in a locker! they expected us to know all these things & we drove 4 hours to get there for the very first time! Also I highly recommend the CD with all pics of your tour for $30! The baby tiger play time after the tour was the best part! expensive for only 6 minutes but totally worth it! place was cleaner than i expected and the animals were fat and taken care of! The only thing I will say for them to work on is the people at the front desk (mainly the woman) needs to work on customer service/patience or they need to get more people there to help explain what's what so they don't get so upset because there's so many people asking the same questions! very unprofessional!!! I also think they need another line for people who have already checked in or bought their tickets vs people standing in line waiting... once we got back from our tour we was told to come back to the front desk and sign up for baby tiger play time then so when we went back they said well we had to get in the back of the line and wait our turn... took about another 30 mins in line to sign up (we was written down first to do play time) but they marked 2 people down ahead of us because they was already in line so we had to wait another hour to do ours... need more bathrooms outside or something because we waited about 30 mins to get to the bathroom! VERY long day but cool experience!!

Amazing place. Must visit if you are in Oklahoma or Texas. Lovely to see the care given for animals. Playing with the cubs is one of my fondest memories of this place. We walked around with ducks n peacocks following us. Spent 4 hours here and the timr just flew by

My husband and I visit every time we plan a visit to Oklahoma. When we first went it wasnt the best of experiences but we kept going due to the adventures and experiences there. We have seen a lot of changes. The tigers always seem happy. The last time we went they all had meat and things to do. Only thing I wish is info on the animals as to why they are there. I know a lot of animals are rescues.

My boyfriend and I live in upstate New York, he is from Oklahoma, so recently we decided to visit. While we were there, we decided to visit the GW Zoo. The hours on the website said they closed at 5:00, so when I called close to 8:00 and expected to hear a recording, I was greeted by the nicest, most pleasant woman on the phone. She gave me all the information that I had called to find out about and told me they were still open because there had been visitors in the park and the suggested close time was 5:00, but nobody is ever kicked out of the park due to closing times. My boyfriend and I arrived for an 11:30 guided tour. We were asked nicely not to use our phones during the TOUR due to the fact that we would be interacting with animals and a phone going off may scare them and also the zoo sells a DVD of your tour. Just like many other businesses, they obviously are trying to make money, which is totally understandable. Joe introduced himself and the reasoning for the zoo. It was started by Joe and his parents in memory of his brother who was killed by a drunk driver. Apparently his brother had a love for wild animals and had always dreamed of seeing them. During the tour, we were surrounded by very educated staff members. Skip and I learned so much about the many different animals. We were lucky enough to be there and on top of that we got a bonus, Grizzly Adams happened to be there that day. We started off our tour by kissing a camel, learning about the ponies, seeing a lion living with dachshunds, petting wolf/Siberian huskies, holding lizards, being willingly wrapped in snakes, ferrets, a skunk, a joey (baby kangaroo), Skip's favorite, the tiger cub and my favorite, the baby bear cub. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Skip said the same thing! After the tour we continued to stay and walk around on our own, taking pictures with our phones and continuing to enjoy the day. We purchased a DVD and were beyond thrilled with how amazing the pictures of how our awesome day had turned out. Upon returning back to New York, I just happened to go on the website and was shocked to see people's negative reviews. Some people may have had a legit "bad experience", but for the rest of you... what planet are you from? Wherever it is, please go back! As far as Joe "yelling" at the staff, um, hello!!! He's running a business where people are paying him and it involves human contact with animals. Grow a backbone people. Next, for the crazy lady who claims she was so uncomfortable and was forced to hold the snakes, I call BS! At no point are you locked in or held hostage. Most people with a brain leave places that make them uncomfortable. I'm glad that people who said they visited one time became experts in animal behavior, saying that the animals looked sad and don't belong in cages or captivity. I'm no expert, but I feel confident that saying without Joe or someone else taking in some of these animals, they would be dead. Pretty sure cross eyed lions and lions who can't walk at birth don't survive the wild. News flash, people do not spent every day of their lives, eating, breathing and sleeping something that they intent to harm. Every animal that Joe had contact with that day ran up to him and greeted him the way my dog greets me when I walk through my door. As far as people writing reviews on the videos of "Joe abusing the animals", he was no different on them than I am on my house hold pets. He tells you that he disciplines them during the tour. If an animal is bad, you stop it from doing whatever behavior should not be done. He shouldn't even have to explain that, you don't let a baby who is going to grow up to be around 500 pounds do whatever the hell it wants to do when it's little. Bottom line, I came home and told EVERYONE I could that if they were ever in Oklahoma, I suggest you stop by and see Joe and the wonderful things he and his awesome staff are doing for these beautiful animals.

This was the last weekend it was open. We were unaware as it closed without much notice and we stopped purely as a last minute decision. The Tigers were very large. Something you don't get that close to in a zoo. Some cages seemed small and airflow was restricted is some because of the bamboo. The staff was friendly and very busy. We saw several that were in the Tiger King series and made the time to be photographed. One bear seemed very happy to have people come and talk to him. A large pen held numerous Tigers. You were able to go to the upper deck and view the whole area. That was impressive. That holding area was the best environment for the cats at this facility. We saw two Ligers on the property and a few lions. The Ligers were very impressive.

1. Just look at Joe. 2. It's easy to seem knowledgeable to people who don't a lot about a certain subject. 3. Rescues do breed, to repopulate an endangered species for release. But if that's what you're doing you don't let humans pay to handle them. They need to be as wild as possible to succeed upon release. The fact that you pay extra for time with overhandled cubs sheds light on Joe's motives. 4. Speaking of motives, I'd just like to ask everyone to consider what motives would lie behind both good and bad reviews. Just think about it. 5. Most positive reviews focus heavily on defending the park, and on animal interaction, which is a controversial selling point. People who were happy to kiss a camel also don't mention the "hardy-har poop eater" shtick Joe follows with. Many positive reviews also state animals looked "fat." Fat isn't healthy either. 6. That said, overheated animals are irrelevant. Do you know what the weather is like in India? There's plenty of stuff to be concerned about without searching for something to say. 7. Just do your research, aside from reviews. Read about denial of renewal of USDA grants and the traveling tiger show. How they only got the grant, after being denied and having to get up to standards. Research the reasons they hate PETA. Tigers won't go extinct without Joe. Saying that he keeps them alive is not a selling point. There are better alternatives.

We stopped at this place on our way back to Texas. We were amazed. It was sooooo much fun playing with Sansa ( baby tiger ). And also spent time with other animals. It s a great place.

Absolutely loved our day spent here walking around looking at the animals.
We came early and stayed late. We left for an hour to go for lunch and was able to get back in. We paid the extra money to hold a wolf pup, femur and a baby cub.
Being able to be up close with a baby cub was a wonderful experience.
I would definitely come back and plan on making another trip soon.

I use to work for him it was a good experience that I took with me in my life being able to tell my kids the about the animals there and how they where rescued from people that couldn't take care of them to rescuing them from ciurcies. I would recommend seeing the park. Much thanks and respect.

My family and I had a really good time, we were really close to all the cats ! Got to see them eat and play with the employees... the ones out in the field were really nice, answered all of our questions the lady up front is kinda moody though... we will definitely go again

- Buy Endagered tour ticket. On this ticket tour guide will take you behind the cages, might take you inside wolf cage and you would be able to spend some time with a lion cub and other special animals/ reptiles.
- Owner need to spend some on the infrastructure of the park. Walkways need attention.
- Staff on reception barely have smile on their faces. So don t expect it.
- Pay for pictures ($20.00) extra at reception and you will be provided photos of you at the time of leaving. Asking later, costs $40.00
- Look groupon for better deals.
- Choose a sunny day to visit.
- I appreciate owner Joe who have taken care of beautiful wild cats. He s doing great work.
- Donate as much as you can to the park to keep these cats grow healthy and beautiful.

There is a photo on the website of three tigers in water. DYED GREEN WATER. The tigers are clearly green where they got wet. Unacceptable. I hope these animals get taken away to a proper facility where they will be cared for. Just awful.

It's different than the normal and Big zoo from around the world. You get to see the big cats from very close and too many of them. You will also see the real Ligars, Tligers which are very limited in quantities around the world (a total of 29 Tligers).
This is a good place to visit atleast once to understand and feel that these big cats are very much loving along with being dangerous.

This is not a place for abused animals it's a place to abuse animals just look into its history and what it's still doing look up what "tiger playing" really cub petting really is they also keep them into way to small of cages also most of the animals you can see their ribs this means they animal is extremely under weight especially big cats and horses this means their a couple HUNDRED pounds under weight also they just push out cub after cub even Ligers and white tigers look them up they have no conservation value and suffer from many genetic problems like cleft plates neralogical issues bone issues for Ligers gigantism and white tigers crossed eyes go to a AZA zoo or sanctuary like the wild animal sanctuary and say it's a place for abused animals

We enjoyed our experience at the animal park. The tour is definitely worth the price. I would have rated higher, but the size of the animal enclosures are just too small in my opinion. The caretakers seem to genuinely care about the animals and there are plans in the works for a new, more modern site later this year with larger areas for the animals. It was very interesting to learn about the big cats, especially the hybrids like Ligers and Liligers!

I had a terrible experience paid an outrageous amount of money to do the VIP tour our guide was very rude the confined areas the animals were in weren t kept up. The owner was very rude and thought he was better then everyone all this publicity he s getting with the new Netflix show and gaining ownership of the zoo is going straight to his head. I can t wait for the zoo to go to someone else and him find hisself in the same position he put Joe Exotic in. At least Joe knew how to put on a show when doing the tours because you sir do not.

Amazing place to visit! Eric was my tour guide and he was GREAT! He talked alot about how the park got started and what their mission was. They treat all the animals with care and you can tell they're passionate about them. Truly an eye-opener and I would highly recommend anyone to visit! You also get to play with a baby tiger at the end, which was very enjoyable!

If I could give zero I would. You should NEVER interact with wild animals physically. They can turn on you & this zoo is a liability waiting to happen. Some one will get killed some day. I don't care who the owner is, you need to OBSERVE wild animals, never interact with them.

After reading all the recent reviews I felt like it wouldn t be a good idea to make a family trip here but I didn t want to go based off reviews. I wanted to experience it myself. To be completely honest there was more animals than I expected. A ton of tigers , lions and other animals you don t really get to see at a zoo. Much less be that close to them! We were able to be close to the animals and feel safe. The animals looked healthy and you can clearly see the people care about them. We did the Exotic tour and were able to pet a baby tiger, kiss a camel, learn about the animals, hold a lemur and hold a ferret. It was little time with each animal but were able to get photos with them! The price may seem high but you can tell most of the money goes to feeding all those animals. Our experience was great. Definitely do a tour if you go! It s better than just entering and walking around by yourself to look at the animals. You gain the experience of touching some animals and the education of them. Definitely don t let the negative reviews keep you from visiting.

35 per child and 45 per adult was a bit high but we wanted to experience the park and I figured it would be worth it.
On the endangered animal tour you can't take your cell phones or camera with you to take pictures or videos but for $30 dollars per family one photographer will take pictures. just hope that the photographer gets good photos of you and your family in those special moments because you won't get that $30 back.
Before the tour, we waited an extra 15 mins in the late June heat without fans listening crappy country music blare over speakers and watching the owner himself in his own music videos because apparently he thinks he's a country star! When the tour guide finally showed up she wasn't exactly entertaining or friendly. If you want you get to kiss a camel, get a picture with a miniature horse and pet half wolves. And then pet baby tigers. But as you walk along, most of the animals are in tiny cages close together with small bowls of water and in the dead heat of summer, its heart breaking. And they are breeding them!! The few things I can say are that the animals look healthy and you do get a warm bottle of water to drink along the way. My child did get to pet his favorite endangered species. But for the price it's not worth it. These animals need much bigger spaces and more shade.

Overall had a great time with my girlfriend. We payed extra to do the baby animal petting. They match the Groupon coupon so you can save a bunch there. So to get in was $10 for 2 adults. My only real complaint was the short hair, blond, older lady who works the front desk/ticket sales. She tried to weasel out of the coupon and was very unfriendly. Besides that, all the different babies were amazing, all in all it was like $92 after tax, but totally worth it if you're an animal lover. Maybe for a date or birthday present. Also, Joe Exotic hoaking his stuff and music everywhere is a little ridiculous.

I don't think it would be worth it at full price if you just wanted to walk the zoo and I don't think the tours are worth it.

But "vote Joe exotic for Oklahoma Gov 2018" lol

Waste of money. Sorry for the animals in the tiny tiny cages. You can see some big cats that s it. It doesn t really look like sanctuary. Tour is one of the most horrible thing you can do there. Staffs are pathetic. They don t give you any information because they don t have anything there to give you the information for the money they are charging you there. Forget about petting they just bring some lizards, baby monkey, baby kangaroo and baby tiger for your photos that you can pose (for which you might have paid and looking forward) that s it.
Guys if you really want to go, then just take animal private petting ticket where they allow you to play with baby tiger for 6 minutes. May be that s the only worth doing there for you and your kids happiness.
