Gurstel Chargo Review

After rebuilding my credit to a socially acceptable level, along came the wage garnishment. I was in an OIC with the IRS and scheduled to have cervical spine surgery. They asked me for proof, sent it to them. I was denied. Lol, silly me, they knew I could do nothing about it legally do to the OIC. I ve made 3 settlement offers with the most recent being today I offered them 13000.00 on an original debt of $3000.00 from 2005 that they jacked up to 15,500.00, they respectfully declined. So now they will get the $3770.00 that they have garnished and I will head off to BK court. Sad it had to come to this, but I guess it s their loss, check mate Gurstel Law

My father was recently sued about a debt that my mother had before she passed away. It occurred almost exactly 7 years ago. They froze his bank account and my siblings bank accounts which he is on. However, his only income along with my siblings is social security. My dad because he is disabled and my siblings are revising it due to my mother s passing. We filled out paper work multiple times claiming their money was protected. But this law firm seemed to just ignored that.
After the accounts were frozen our banker was lovely enough to try and help us deal with them. The continuously were hard to contact, everyone told us something different, and they would often say they could not read the faxes that had been sent. If you can t read a fax then contact the number on the cover letter to have it sent again, idiots.
Overall, this is the most incompetent bunch of lawyers I have ever encountered. I hope that they hire someone with a brain soon. Or ask the wizard of Oz to grant them some brains.

These people are bottom feeders of the worst kind. They should not be considered a legitimate business. Fraudulent, thieving, bullying, abusive people that actually get paid for disgusting behavior. Avoid using them for ANYTHING. These attorneys don't even deserve a poor rating. They need something lower than poor, like pond scum, oh wait, even pond scum has uses whereas these jackasses do not.

I reported this company to the FTC. Horrible customer service. rude staff. Won t share MY information with me.

I am so sick of these parasites sucking money from the poor. They have garnished my paychecks, levied my checking account, and Now telling me I owe them for a Wells Fargo debt that is 9-10 years old. and was $1100. and now it is $4,123. isn't there some statute of limitations or can Fashion Bug hunt me down till I am 100? Lets hope Karma comes around to those who ruin the lives of others for profit.

Called to pay a debt. Listened to an automated message telling me they are trying to collect my debt. Talked to a representative who also told me everything about the call was to collect a debt. Call ended and I didn't even get assistance trying to pay them a debt. So they were unable to successfully complete the one task they are trying to complete. The situation is that I moved and needed to update my info. They told me to use the website. The website requires a payment to be processed to update info. My payments are automatic so I didn't want to make a new one to mess up any auto pay schedule. This also feels a little predatory and potentially an FDCPA violation if they are requiring a payment in order to update payment info needed to process payments that resulted from court agreed judgments. Looking into that now but definitely feel like a vulnerable consumer. This company had bogus 5 start reviews.
The rating should be lower. I'm still just trying to change payment info to pay a debt. Unsuccessful. 3 calls already. This company also has an F with the BBB and recently changed their name. They have not responded to complaints filed. I will also be filing a complaint. Don't let the new name rating on BBB fool you.

Never, EVER, under any circumstance work with this company. While they are listed as a legitimate business, they are the sketchiest company to ever work with.

This company is very unprofessional, and appear very greedy. Their staff is unhelpful, and rude. They TRIPLE the amount of your debt owed the original debtor. I honestly feel they should be out of business and a class action lawsuit should be filed against them. Their practices are extremely illegal.

Offered them 4000$ on a charged off WELLS FARGO credit card from 10 years ago. Originally charged off for 5000$. Now they say it s up to 8500$. They turned their nose up at 4000$ then our car broke down. Already gave them 1800. Told them the money lawyer should have taken the money when he got a chance.

Would give less stars if I could. Every time I call, I am on hold or transferred for a minimum of 10-15 minutes. When I asked if I could be Cc'd on correspondence because phone calls weren't getting me anywhere, they refused. Mailed information to the wrong address even though I repeatedly gave updated information. Never faxed a form to the bank. ALL I am trying to do is resolve my issue, and they have repeatedly made that as difficult as possible.

The worst ever years of trying to collect on measly debts no one else gives a shyt about!

This law firm is not very competent. I just got a packet in the mail from them with someone else's case included in it!!! Extremely unprofessional and isnt there a confidentiality law of some sort?!

These people need to get their stuff right. Today I had a collection rep lie to me and tell me they could sue me if a debt was older than 7 yrs. In my state that is past the statute of limitations, so please Gurstel before you go making empty threats please educate your collection reps a bit better. Even more interesting this debt is nowhere on my credit report... so there is no valid proof I owe this debt. I'm not going to pay something I DO NOT OWE!

I found this firm to be EXTREMELY shady and VERY unprofessional. There are so many wonderful firms out there, but unfortunately this one truly contributes to the 'dark and ugly' in our world. Not only is this troubling but also very sad. PLEASE PLEASE do your research on this firm before engaging with them on ANY level. There is plenty of information to be found out there about them, but sadly it's NOT good You can start with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and go from there.

On a side note, if you are looking for an HONEST, ethical. and professional law firm of this nature, you will find that in a law firm called, *Rausch, Sturm, Israel, Enerson & Hornik*. They not only know how to conduct business in an ethical fashion, but they also have attorney's and staff that will go the extra mile to help you in a compassionate, professional, and honest manner.

This company is relentless in their business practices!! It doesn't matter if you are disabled and collecting SSI they still repeatedly try to levy my bank account. The debt originated in 2006 for $1000.00 but because of their thieving practices they say I now owe over $8500.00. They already took their $1000, isn't that enough for someone who's only income is from SSI? Nope! They laid off for about two years but they are back at it again!

Had been getting mail from Gurstel... at my address to someone that does not live at my home and tried to tell this company but they just keep hanging up on me lol.... Was trying to be helpful. Yikes, red flag.

Fraudulent criminal organization - how are they allowed to stay in business? Bought some bogus debt from another scumbag company who was shut down by the justice dept and has then been attempting to steal from me since then. Refuses to provide ANY documentation of where the debt comes from. I had the MN attorney generals office contact them in 2011 and they agreed to drop the matter. Suddenly started back up again in 2013??? I DONT OWE YOU ANYTHING and never did you MORONS.

You can t come after people who get state insurance or even get cash help.

I ve already talked with a high end lawyer he told me this. Stop sending me court dates that aren t real.

I ve talked to the company I owe money and they said you re a scam and not to listen to you.

So please get a life before you get shut down

Felt very bullied into paying a certain amount that I told the man I could not afford to pay. Horrible people to work with and seems like they have ZERO sensitivity training.

We agreed on a settlement payment and I have been paying it to the agreement but they lied and continue to sue me bringing it to court.
I called them about it and two representatives told me not to worry about it because it shouldn t affect me Since I been paying it on time.
Trying to get a hold of them but their phone numbers are now disconnected and no sign of getting a hold of them.
