Todd and his crew not only know pro gear for the seasoned veteran musician, they are inviting and ever conscious of every person that walks in to their store. My buying experience was stellar. He had the selection of pro gear like no one else stocks in Colorado. Wether or not you need lessons or just a set of strings or a high end instrument he and his staff will give you the absolute best friendly service you would expect. When walking into the store I am always greeted with a hello and a smile ( or a wave)!!!! The selection of musical instruments is overwhelming!!!! The knowledge of the staff on all instruments is a great help!!! If they don't have what I'm looking for they will always be happy to order it for me!!! This was the best guitar buying experience I have ever had. The guitar came quick and in perfect new condition. Todd boasted over the phone about his setup guy, and boy he wasn't lying. I have never had a neck that plays so well. The action was perfect. Also saves me $60.00 or so taking it to a tech to have it setup as it was more than playable (and in tune after being shipped 3000 miles!) out of the box. I highly recommend you check out Guitars Etc before your next purchase.

I have been going in to Guitars Etc. for close to 20 years, never spending more than a hundred dollars here or there. Most likely my trips would produce guitar picks and strings. I could not have been happier to finally make a major purchase in the EVH 5150 iii. Todd was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and made sure that I was happy with my decision. A great music store with a wide selection of electric and acoustic guitars, amps, band instruments, and a broad array of other musical gear. They stock everything from entry-level instruments to top-end stuff; staff is knowledgeable, lessons are taught, prices are fair, and there is an independent instrument repair shop in the basement. I've bought a number of items from Todd over the years, including a superb custom shop reissue Fender Telecaster and a great Martin HD-28. Great guitars, great service, highly recommended!

Best music store in Northern Colorado. Their selection has gotten significantly better over the last 2 years. Very impressive selection of custom shop fenders and great service. The owner (Todd) is very friendly & encouraging. This is the place to buy a guitar around here for sure.

This is the best music store one could ask for! I have been a loyal customer for over twenty years and with good reason. The staff is extremely knowledgable, the product is top notch and the customer service is exemplary! With all the corporate conglomeration and cheap knock off options there are out there, it's refreshing to find a music store where you can partner with professionals to find the instrument that's truly right for you. A real treat working with this group of great people. I will not be spending my hard earned money anywhere else when it comes to my guitar needs.

Awesome selection of new and used guitars. I bought an Amp from a knowledgeable, low pressure guy who let me play on it privetly in a practice/lesson room. He even recommended coming back with my own guitars to be sure it was what I wanted. He also didn't try to answer questions he had no knowledge about. Instead of filling me with BS. Great music store in a small town.

Neat little guitar store with personal service. Entry level instruments all the way to professional. They also carry some hard to find boutique guitars of exceptional quality. They also carry band instruments for school age students.

Good service depends on the day that you go in. They have eyes on you the whole time like you are going to break something. Would rather drive to the nearest Guitar Center.

Guitars Etc is a fantastic place to shop for anything instrumental. Everyone there has always been super helpful and even though my son and I would just follow my daughter in, we liked to stay and visit. Also have the best independent instrument repairman downstairs. Keep up the awesome work guys.

I am well known for my scathing reviews. What a breath of fresh air this place is. Some things that I really enjoy about this store is that the staff is extremely helpful and it is truly a small business and not someone's investment strategy. The owner is always onsite and extremely insightful and helpful. The quality of goods spans the spectrum from price point/entry level to some high end stuff. He's got a handful of boutique products and (from the perspective of a 10 year retail vetran) he really does bring a great mix of product in to his store. Buy locally, the internet is infested with trash and the likes of those who sell it.

After three frustrating months of dealing with GC, Guitars Etc had a new Taylor in my hands in three days! New strings and all! Great communication and shipping. I ll definitely go right to Todd and the gang next time!

Everyone at Guitars Etc was helpful and friendly. They even took the time to have an in-depth text conversation with me (via the text feature on their website) AFTER HOURS, going to the trouble to look up prices and discuss options with me. And they helped us find the perfect Christmas gift for our son!

Took in a Stratocaster for a fret level and a general set up. The guitar sounds and plays better than it ever has. I am beyond happy with the work the guys did. I would definitely recommend this shop for anyone with a guitar that needs a little TLC.

I m writing to recommend highly Guitars, Etc. Longmont, CO. I ve been looking at buying a higher end guitar for months. I wanted a mid-sized model with a good balance sound as compared to my Martin HD-35. Given the limitations in playing and hearing guitars of interest due to the pandemic I was frustrated. I discovered Guitars, Etc. as Collings was one brand I was considering and they re a dealer. I talked to Todd about what I was looking for more than once. He was knowledgeable and willing to spend all the time I needed to talk through my tortured process of choosing an expensive guitar.
Ultimately, he encouraged me to come in so that we could play different guitars from my preferred manufactures. I was a serious consumer and came with the intention of buying a guitar during my visit if I found what I wanted (sonically and physically). Todd and I took turns playing various instruments. I knew I wanted the Collings OM2H the minute he played it. Todd really went the extra mile to help me find the right guitar. I couldn t be happier. It s important to note that with the concerns over Covid-19 spread that there are precautions being taken that we ve never experienced before in playing/selecting musical instruments. Todd made an investment in me choosing a guitar in that he had to quarantine those instruments we played for a few days after my visit.
If you re serious about buying a quality instrument Todd will support you and help you pick just the right one. I strongly encourage you to reach out to Guitars, Etc when you are looking for guitars. They also have a variety of other instruments and accessories so if you have other instrument needs they re worth checking out.

Bring out your dead (tired old keyboards that have seen better days) and buy a new one, I imagined the man to say with dignity in these trying times. We have curbside service (for real) he said. And so we purchased a new Yamaha P125 and picked it up in the back. From a distance the box looked blue and green. We love this new keyboard. We re gonna take it out of the box soon.

I called in an order for a guitar and not only did he get it set up and ready for me to pick up the same day (during the covid outbreak I should add), he also gave me a great deal on the instrument! Very friendly staff. We had an emergency where we needed our son's viola repaired before a big concert and the staff went out of their way to help us. The repair looks great.

I actually ordered my instrument online through Reverb so I haven't been in the store as I live in Ohio. The experience was excellent however, shipping was prompt, guitar was superbly and securely packaged. Set up on guitar was excellent and the shipping was even free. I ve had the pleasure of working with Todd and the staff at Guitars Etc. for a few years now, starting with middle school band for my son and most recently on my own musical journey. For the band rentals, everything went super smooth and the staff is always helpful with the random questions. I went a few weeks ago to buy a new guitar, and as this was my first guitar purchase, I had tons of questions. Everything from starter gear to the rare and highest quality instruments can be found here. They also do repairs and lessons.
You get great customer service in a great small business atmosphere. They truly strive to get you only what you're looking for. After seeing a few people get upsold and taken advantage of at the big box stores, I especially recommend they go see Todd and Ross at Guitars Etc. This place is awesome.

Let me just cut to the chase: I live about 2000 miles away from Todd and his store, but I wouldn't buy a guitar from anyone else. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable (lots of guys are knowledgeable), but here's the thing....he's honest. And that is exactly why I've done business with him in the past and will do so in the future.

I was searching online for a Taylor guitar for my husband for Father's Day. Found the perfect one and amazingly Guitars Etc had the exact one I was looking for. I used their online chat to ask a few questions and even though the store has been closed due to the virus lockdown, Todd went in and we made the deal. I'll pick it up tomorrow curbside! We've been shopping at Guitars Etc since we moved to town in 1995. Always pleased with our purchases and the friendly staff!

Guitars Etc is a huge musical instrument store in Longmont, Co. I didn't even know it was there until I started looking at guitars online. I actually live out of state and was visiting my brother who lives in Longmont. My brother and I went to the store and I immediately went to the wall of guitars as I was particularly interested in a Paul Reid Smith S2 that I had seen in their online ad. Todd came over and greeted us and asked if I wanted to see anything in particular. He was very patient and kind, not pushy at all. He took the time to let me play at my pace. Then he sat down and played some to. Man he's talented. Short story...He made me a killer deal on the PRS and also a Line 6 amp. Very friendly, personable, talented. I found exactly what I was looking for and found that it was less expensive than any other place I checked. I will definitely give him my business in the future. Do yourself a favor and check them out online!

walked in and wasn't even greeted. Didn't even know anyone worked there until I wanted to play a guitar off the wall. Was told to put it back, and I walked out. If you cant try it before you buy it, there are plenty of other shops who will get my business

My siblings and I have learned most of our basic vocal and instrument skills here growing up, it was a no brainer to choose to go back to them when I recently decided I wanted to learn how to play the electric guitar. As always, the best customer service! Very kind and patient with all of my questions and have given me all of the information I will need to start. I love this place, always have. 100% recommend going here for all your musical needs!

Todd and the others that work here are true professionals. They have a great selection of instruments, music, accessories, etc. They also have a great repair shop in the downstairs portion of the shop.

My family and I moved to Longmont about a year and a half ago. We are very excited to have found Guitars etc. Todd and his team have been very helpful in selecting both electric and acoustic guitars from a very wide range of brands and prices. We have bought four new guitars this past year. I feel we could have played every guitar in the store prior to making any selection. You don t really need to even be in the market for a guitar to play them here. Just ask - it is never a problem to play the instruments in the store.

I am at the store a couple days a week for lessons with my kids and for myself. During this time I see many people come and go. I see regulars that are comfortable taking a guitar of the wall, plugging in, and jamming for a while. I see many other s seek help from the staff to get set-up before playing. All of these option seem to be regularly available at Guitars etc. I also see folks just come-in to browse and ask questions about the equipment or make purchases from a very nice variety of instruments, accessories and other music equipment, including rentals. This is a legitimate small business so there are not employees standing around in each department waiting to serve every person within the first 15 seconds who walks through the door. If you are a box store person or Internet shopper who needs this type of attention, perhaps your patience or ego may not be well served here. But, if you are about supporting small business you make new friends with common interests, be happy to work with the team here, and definitely become a regular customer.

Lastly my son, daughter and I each take guitar lessons and my daughter also takes violin lessons - we could not be happier with the quality, flexibility, and styles of the teaching methods we have been offered. Each teacher has been top notch, has many years of experience, and been very open to the very different playing goals we each have.

Being new to an area is always hard especially when you have kids! We needed to find a new piano instructor for one of our kids. From the moment we walked into the store, the staff were helpful and friendly. We set up a trial lesson with Kelli and it went great. I wanted our son to have a choice of instructors. So, we tried a few other places... We ended up with right back here... Kelli is amazing.. she is patient, kind and thorough! Our son loves Kelli!! Thank you Guitars Etc!!

Phenomenal shop. Todd and his crew run one of the finest stores I have ever set foot into. Great selection of guitars in all price points, friendly, knowledgeable staff, and a zillion lesson rooms for all their awesome teachers. Their repair guy is super awesome too. If you're ever anywhere near Longmont you're a fool if you don't stop by. Hell, it's worth the drive up from Denver or the drive down from Fort Collins.

I just needed some strings and a humidifier pack. Been putting it off because I m not super knowledgeable with the guitar. Todd helped me out. It felt like I was talking to one of my best friends. I actually enjoyed the experience. And this is during the pandemic. Todd was very careful with the items. All sanitized from the other side of the door, and slipped through the mail slot.
