The guys at guitars etc. in Longmont,Co are top notch especially when it comes to customer service! When we moved to Colorado last year we needed a place for our kids to continue music lessons and after almost a year taking lessons with them, we have not been disappointed.
This past Christmas I decided to surprise my husband with a new guitar that he had been wanting for a while, and I am so thankful I didn t go the internet route. The guys were so helpful, spent time with me on making sure it was the right one, kept me up to date on its arrival and when I arrived to pick it up, the guitar was already tuned and ready to go! If you want small town, hands on, great, friendly customer service, with really competitive prices, I recommend Guitars, etc in Longmont 1000x over!

Having just moved to Fort Collins, and Guitars Etc being the closest music store with a good selection of acoustic guitars, I visited today for the first time. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and directed me upstairs to the acoustic room. The selection was incredible and the guitars were all properly set-up. Todd was extremely helpful, patient and available to answer my questions. He ended up taking about 45 minutes out of his day to just chat about music, tell me some cool Tommy Emmanuel stories, and just generally "nerd out" over some really cool, high-end guitars. He even showed me a couple of his incredible personal guitars. I loved the store and can't wait to visit again. Thanks, Todd!

If they had a six star I would give it to them, He waited 30 mins after store closed just so I could come by!! I bought my saxophone through them I ve had it repaired through them I bought my first guitar from them and my second, every time nothing but the best people, killer vibes and all around a place I will remain shopping at!!

Purchased my second guitar from Guitars Etc today! They setup my PRS Silver sky blue before I bought it; lowered the action, new strings, had their luthier look at it. The reason I keep coming back is because they have quality gear and take the extra step to set it up for you and care about their customers. And, they coordinated this purchase during the covid pandemic and of course, abiding completely by city regulations. I feel I get the extra care from this store than say a chain like guitar center. This is value to me buying a quality instrument.

It Astounds me that a year into a global pandemic a beautiful business can survive on the sheer kindness and curiosity of others. Not only was the staff kind and helpful but I really felt listened to when asking and voicing my concerns with equipment and prices. I was helped every step of the way the staff was there but allowed me space to think and eventually make a choice.

I honestly believe that because of the relationship and atmosphere created I became more comfortable making a big purchase. This place will be my new shop for everything I might need on my new guitar journey, and I can t thank the staff enough for making it both easy, understandable and comfortable.

Todd was great the other evening when my wife an I stopped in to gather some information on a new Fender American Standard electric guitar. He is a very talented guitar player and salesperson. No pressure to buy, very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this store!

Great selection of Taylor and Martin guitars, from entry-level to high-end. Super knowledgable staff, instruments kept well-humidified and in tune (seems to be rare around here among guitar stores). Electric guitar selection is enormous, definitely the best-stocked guitar store north of the Broomfield Guitar Center (but way, way, way better than Guitar Center, not even in the same league).

this is the greatest place ever. my son has bought all 6 guitars and his drum set there. wouldn't go anywhere else!

Big store! They also have lessons and repair instruments downstairs.

Super friendly staff, which is good because they don't want you to pull guitars off the wall without them. When pulling guitars for you they check to make sure it's in tune before handing it off. The staff is obviously passionate about music and enjoy sharing their wealth of knowledge. They are also a private store so you can haggle a little bit if you're into that.

As soon as I plugged into an amp I was told that the five hundred dollar guitar I was holding was worth one thousand dollars. I was also told how the amp worked something I already told the employee I knew. Then I was told that only employee's could grab the guitars of the wall and back on. Finally when I was able to play I was unable to get a pick to play with.

Came up from Santa Fe, NM to Longmont to test drive (and ultimately purchase) a Two Rock amplifier from Guitars Etc.. Todd, Louis, and Ross were very knowledgeable and accommodating in helping me understand the features of the amplifier and also in allowing me to test the product extensively at stage volume in a private area. Being able to test the amplifier in person was critical given that Two Rock products are in limited production and distribution, and the guys made the experience great.

I bought a new Gibson Les Paul 50s Standard from Todd at Guitars Etc. in Longmont, CO and just got it today. The guitar is absolutely gorgeous, the setup is perfect, it arrived safely and well-packed, and the whole experience was top-notch from start to finish.

This was my first purchase from them and I have to say it was one of the best experiences I've had purchasing a guitar online or otherwise. I've dealt with most of the highly reputable Gibson dealers out there, and I can honestly say Todd is one of, if not the, absolute best.

This is a very good music store. They have an excellent and knowledgeable instrument repairman on staff. The people behind the counter are knowledgeable, fair, and honest. They seem to keep the customer's interests at heart. This is a store that deserves your consideration if you need help with your musical journey.

What a gem! We had friends in town for a few days and decided to have lunch in downtown Longmont. After lunch, we went for a stroll and, lo and behold, we stumbled into Guitars etc. Todd and his staff have an amazing inventory of boutique brands and are just the nicest folks. Despite the difficulties of running a retail store in COVID world, the staff set up a Suhr me to play and what a treat that was! What a fabulous guitar, store and staff... If you re a player, I highly recommend a stop at Guitars Etc. It will be time well spent!

Like I said, I tried out about 50 guitars at 3 different really good guitar shops before I came to see you guys. I m glad you were my last stop or I would have missed out. I ve been playing and writing songs non-stop since I brought my new baby home. The Taylor you recommended sounds as big as my vintage Yamaha 12-string but the action plays so easy. Last but not least, I searched all over the web and your price was better than anybody I found. You guys rock!

This is one of the best guitar stores I ve ever shopped at, and I ve been to many. Todd, the owner, helped me find a great acoustic guitar and personally took care of me during and afterwards to make sure I was happy. Anyone looking for a guitar should make sure they stop in here.

Usually there is one store in town a musician chooses to do business with. This is that store! Every aspect of being a musician is covered. If you live in Longmont and you are a musician, then you already know what I mean. If you are new to Longmont, this is your depot.

I have been in and out of High end music stores for decades. My experience at Guitars Etc in Longmont was world class. I felt welcomed, respected, and inspired. The staff was down to Earth, extremely knowledgeable, and all well accomplished players in their own right. The shop is immaculate and a delight to explore. Thank God establishments like this still exist! I give this shop five Stars. Go check it out for yourself!

Was recommended by guitar teacher to check this place out and glad we did. We were looking for a beginning guitar and theyvhad a Yamaha 3/4 $20 cheaper than Amazon's price. Louie was fantastic in explaining the differences of the various instruments and plays a mean classical guitar to show the full sound. I ended up picking up a few vinyl lps there. Just a great vibe even with covid 19.

The music center of Longmont! Todd and his crew are great people who are very helpful. His store features a lot of items for band/orchestra as well as a huge inventory of guitars. They started recently carrying traditional mariachi instruments as well as bajo sextos. Private lessons happen in the basement as well as world class instrument from Nathan at Front Range Instrument Repair.

Guitars Etc is a quant music store with a great selection of new and used guitars, basses, and accessories. The staff is super friendly and helpful. As a bass player, I often pop into Guitars Etc just to see what they have. I recently went their to check out the guitar/bass strap selection, and they have quite a selection.

Even if you're not a musician, stop by as you stroll Longmont's Main Street.

Todd is amazing! I have going to him for years and he and his staff never fail to provide the best service.

I bought an electric bass here and have been taking lessons in store since last summer. This place is great! The staff is very knowledgeable and always ready to help. It is clear that these folks are passionate about music. I couldn't be more satisfied with my instrument or my instructor. I would certainly recommend Guitars Etc to anyone of any skill level.

I've been in the Denver area for 25 years and just "discovered" these guys today. I was interested in a PRS CE and they were super helpful by email and in person. When I arrived, they treated me as if I was a long time valuable customer. Bought the guitar!

Totally worth the drive to Longmont. I live in north Fort Collins and visited half a dozen stores between here and Telluride looking for the perfect OM guitar. No one treated me better than Todd and his staff. The customer service is excellent, the guitars are impeccably cared for (no rusty strings!), and Todd was super patient and never made me feel rushed. A 5-star experience for sure!

The building is a repurposed department store with acoustic guitars in a dedicatedhumidity controlled environment room upstairs and electric guitars on the main floor.
The owner, Todd Skaw is one on the nicest and most spiritual owners I have ever met and his sales crew takes their cues from their leader. ...Always friendly and helpful and most importantly knowledgeable.
The great thing about this store is that in an age where so much business is done online, you can still go to a place where people will assist you and help you make the best selection.
The store also stands behind everything they sell so you are not at risk.
Go there you will fall in love and bring home a friend you will keep for the rest of your life...A guitar, or Bass or Cello etc.

I was recently looking for a new guitar, finally and with great help from the Todd and Ross settled on my new Fender Tele. I've always had great service, from a great and very knowledgeable staff!

I was in the market for a new guitar for a little over a year and had been to various other stores, playing a variety of guitars. Neither the guitars I played, nor the experience of shopping for them ever spoke to me. Decided to check out Guitars Etc. on my lunch break one day and spoke with Todd. I was immediately made to feel comfortable asking questions, explaining what I was looking for and my price range. Todd allowed me to play a variety of guitars, explaining the pros and cons of each. When I explained that I was only looking and wanted to take my time in making a decision he invited me back to play at any time. Over the course of 4 weeks I played a variety of guitars and finally decided on what I wanted. Although I ve been playing for years I feel as though I m still a novice and had been uncomfortable in some other stores, this didn t happen at Guitars Etc. Never once over the course of those 4 weeks was I made to feel like I was wasting his time when coming in to talk, ask questions or play as I made up my mind. When the time came to make the purchase, Todd gave me a price that would be near impossible to beat, IMO.

I had been planning a trip to go to an instrument store for months, and the day I found Guitars Etc. was one of the best days of my life, I needed a baritone horn, and what they gave is a high quality, shiny, great sounding instrument. The staff that helped me were, thorough, but very kind and respectful and did a very good job.

Louis went above and beyond to get me the build sheet on a Custom Martin that I didn t even buy from him. The individual I bought the Martin from bought it from him. Getting the original build sheet on a custom built Martin is next to impossible unless you re the Martin dealer who sold it. Louis took the time and gave the effort to get the build sheet from Martin and had it emailed to me within an hour or two. I m a guitar seller myself and have been to countless guitar stores in every state. I can assure you that the customer service at Guitars, Etc is top-tier. Thanks so much for the help, Louis. I have spent a lot of time with Todd figuring out the specific guitar that is going to my "lifelong" player. I'm very picky (especially when I'm getting in to the 2k+ acoustics) and I know that can be frustrating. I've never felt rushed, he's got the answers to all of my questions which is pretty rare as I have become a bit of a guitar snob. He gave my buddy a fantastic price(below big box stores Internet price) on a new Taylor along with a humidifier kit. It really shows that they care about your experience not only while you are there, but after you leave.

I've been a fan of Guitar's Etc. since the first little store in North Longmont. The owner and staff are good, honest, hard working people and are a valuable part of their community! If you don't feel that you've been treated right by Todd and his staff, you probably exhibit the same feelings anywhere you go because Todd would literally give you the shirt off of his back if he thought it would help you! That's just the kind of guy he is...
