What a joy to re-discover for the 4th time this unique place. The castle rises, with him the pleasure in the eyes of the people who work to its construction. Welcome, Lola, our guide is very nice, his interest in this building is palpable in his words. Good , which does not spoil anything! TO SEE REGULARLY.

The fantastic place. When you visit it, you blame yourself for not having had the idea of building such a place before yourself.
Visit the site of the castle of course but also the village of artisans, artists I should say, who transmit their passion and make the place extremely alive.
A dive in the 13th century.
The entertainment for children is very good.
A very nice day spent.

I visit it every year. COVID implies that there are not all the animations, like the somewhat "crazy" storyteller ... But it remains a pleasant and very informative place with a staff always ready to explain to us what they are doing. do. The mill has grown and the color workshop is very interesting.

We were here before 8 and 4 years ago and it is always exciting to experience the changes. At the entrance, the clocks stop, time plays a very different role than "outside". Everyone is friendly and relaxed. I love this place. Unfortunately, quite expensive ..

very very interesting pity that hygiene rules are not respected, security should pay more attention to the entrance and prohibit the non-wearing of the mask, more restaurant tables are not disinfected, moreover it would be useful to have signs indicator to locate in the field otherwise pleasant and instructive visit and congratulations to all and all

I went there 10 years ago. It was already magnificent but to go back there as long afterwards, we really see the evolution of the site.

A beautiful place, very interesting. The "knight's camp" activity is interesting up to 7 years old, not until 10. The "stone cutting" activity is ideal for sharing a moment with children. The guided tour is essential. The food offered is quality, original and at an affordable price. Plan a whole day. Possibility to get in the shade, to sit.

Went there in April with two kids (6 and 3). It had just reopened for the season. Arrived around 11AM and there wasn't a lot of people. Experience is amazing. Need to go back seeing the people make the tiles. Cut the trees. Build the structures and everything by hand. No power tools. Only people and horses. A brilliant and educative process.

Very nice place but victim of its success. Many people on this weekend of Ascension.
And there should be additional parking to accommodate the flow of cars.
Do not forget to people who take their tickets on the internet to record it on their phone or print it. No internet connection on the site so impossible to find on his mail ...

2nd visit to the medieval site after more than 10 years.
Very interesting and fun visit. Prefer a guided visit in the afternoon because fewer people.
Avoid periods of very hot weather if possible.

To visit. Very interesting we discover extraordinary trades and how our ancestors built castles in the Middle Ages. All in real and life size. A site that can be visited and revisited from year to year because it takes several decades and this allows to see the evolution. It is already well advanced and some interior rooms are to be visited. To see also the village around the castle, with its workshops and its mill.
We dive into the past.
You will be able, in a few days, to find some photos on my Facebook page.

A place to visit imperatively before the end is the construction, the visit is nice, there is even a restoration on site. Too bad there are not enough animators in the workshops, maybe the month of August is the cause, and more water to turn the mill.

Possibility of guided tour.
Possibility to reserve picnic meal in advance.
It is easy to spend 5 hours if you want to visit everything.
The craftsmen explain with passion their job.
To do with children.
Note: The interior is not necessarily accessible in stroller / chair.

Very interesting! The artists do not hesitate to explain their techniques and to answer our questions. In addition, under the sun, it's nice!
The yard moves a lot forward and we measure the amount of work provided!

Great visit worth the detour. On the other hand, there is no point in ordering a packed lunch in advance. Three quarters of an hour of waiting and it took this serious annoyance to have someone decide to prepare our tray in less than five minutes when everything was ready.

From an unusual bet, build a castle in keeping with the techniques of the time, the promoters of this building have made a superb masterpiece. Viisite very edifying for young and old to relive the traditions of trades, architecture and medieval techniques.

A very beautiful day spent on the medieval site,! We went with the children who were very happy. Begun just under 25 years ago, the castle is well advanced. All the trades are explained there by passionate craftsmen. It is a real pleasure to discover all the medieval techniques and to browse the rooms and fortifications of a "new" medieval fortified castle.
I will be going back in a few years to see the evolution.
Parking, restaurant and shop on site.

I was expecting something better, a lot of staging for not much, the constructions seem fragile and devoid of interest, jump on the top floor to see .... Strange also these two empty towers with nothing inside, it lacks a table to feast on torches and many things found in a castle. Here nothing, emptiness, nothingness and people who do not speak or are in their world .... Dear very dear for what it really is ...

A superb chateau to discover with the family ... but watch out for the budget.
56 for a large family rate, add 6.50 (per child) for the stonecutter workshop which is very nice and another 8.50 (per child) for the knight activity ... few craftsmen engage in a real conversation, some do not even look at you, which is a shame considering what they would have to share. The monetary workshop is run by an enthusiast who mixes education and humor ... well done!
In the end little authenticity for a very high price

This place is worth the trip

This place is worth the trip
It's a 800 year old back trip
For 5 to 6 hours we end up in the middle ages
The most interesting is not the visit of the castle but the whole building site which is at the turn the craftsmen who work there are not stingy with information
Guided tour recommended
