Superb site in full construction, stonemasons, carpenters, masons, dyers and squires in period costume, a total immersion in the heart of the Middle Ages. Beautiful under the blazing sun!

Very nice place, pleasant visit to do in the direction you want.
Real-time explanations and panels available.
I recommend booking tickets online (family pack: for 4 savings of 6 ), and no waiting at the cash desk.
I liked the fact that we don't have to go through the store to go out.

Interesting in many ways: human, historical, ancestral working methods. A blow of fresh air in our digital world or the I.A makes this old know-how obsolete. Makes you think.
Plan 4 hours of good visit and if possible a pleasant time

Excellent, for families with children and suitable for school groups. Lots of workshops to do on site (don't forget to book before). Plan the day a day to visit and spend time with the animators (very attentive and answer questions with professionalism and smile)

What a wonderful journey through time! With simplicity, efficiency and passion, the permanent staff, the volunteers, the craftsmen will know how to make you spend a wonderful day. Educational and demonstrative activities suitable for both young and old. Creative workshops, animals - horses, rare hens, etc. - intended for the enjoyment of all. Something to eat as well. We tried the very hearty and delicious medieval meal made with local products. I think we will be back !!!

A good proof that "madness" can lead to beautiful things. It's a great challenge and as one person working on the site said: "It's during construction that you have to go, live the experience with the atmosphere, afterwards, it will just be a castle ...". It s another world to see these professionals working the old fashioned way, exciting, to see.

Super passage in the Middle Ages. The explanations of the old trades are more than alive and very well represented by the "volunteers" dressed of time. I spent a half day very informative. Unique in the world, must go.

An original place rich in historical lessons. To see a medieval construction of this magnitude build over the years is incredible.

A site to visit to discover a superb castle from another era built by passionate professionals.

Very informative, the craftsmen are very warm, we can easily ask questions to learn more about their methods. A great project to come and discover, even on multiple visits to see the evolution. The food is also pretty good, organic choices, with options for vegetarians. Access for people with reduced mobility possible throughout most of the visit (without the upper floors of the castle).

Great! If you like history, craftsmanship and culture, you should stop by here. Ok, in summer the course is very busy. Full! It makes sense to be there by 10 o'clock at the latest. It is worthwhile in any case. Here since 1998 a medieval castle was built, as it was then built (12th century). A quarry, an old sawmill, stonemasons, masons, carpenters, the associated supply, everything live as in the old age of knights. A leap in the past. Rocks are cut, wood split into roof shingles, carved, pottery, dyed, woven, weeded, ...

I drove to the region to see this building. Have seen a documentary about it before and was really fascinated by the place. Unfortunately, you don't get to know as much on site as in the documentaries, and it's really crowded. Maybe for the spring break when the locals don't have a vacation. Unfortunately was there in the summer and found it really too crowded.

An undeniable historical interest, it is advisable to book the tickets on the internet if you do not want to lose a certain time in the queue from the beginning. It is also better to bring your broken crust if you do not want to wait in endless queues
