Beautiful historical visit. I learned a lot about our ancestors.
Great, recommended for all.
Beautiful historical visit. I learned a lot about our ancestors.
Great, recommended for all.
Very beautiful site. Do not hesitate to go there with your family. Plan a whole afternoon for the visit
Superb site in full construction, stonemasons, carpenters, masons, dyers and squires in period costume, a total immersion in the heart of the Middle Ages. Beautiful under the blazing sun!
Excellent visit. The workers never hesitate to answer the many questions from visitors. This damn virus spoils the day a bit, it's just unbearable to wear this mask ...
Very nice visit, especially with children, accessible by motorhome, expect arrived early and take his place on the internet sa avoid 1 hour waiting at the checkout, visit made in August
Unbelievable, a must see for all medieval or history enthusiasts.
BEAUTIFUL to see the castle and all the workshops and the mill
Possibility to eat on site. A small flat is lacking staff to serve
Good organization for the parking. Cleanliness of the different places
A unique project: the construction of a 13th century fortified castle as in the Middle Ages. In Puisaye. To see again.
Very great experience, friendly staff. Visit is very worthwhile.
Beautiful site very interesting to discover, we change times! Take the guided tour!
Park that allows you to discover the trades of yesteryear ******** very rewarding
Very nice place, pleasant visit to do in the direction you want.
Real-time explanations and panels available.
I recommend booking tickets online (family pack: for 4 savings of 6 ), and no waiting at the cash desk.
I liked the fact that we don't have to go through the store to go out.
Great day for young and old! Remember to take tickets tickets on the Internet to avoid the tail and your picnic! Unless you go buy your sandwich after the crush around 13:30.
Great visit, to redo every 4/5 years to see the evolution. Very busy day, provide good shoes
Superb adventure with children despite a budget meal a little high on the spot.
we must privilege a guided tour otherwise it seems pretty "bland" - a pity that artisans do not explain what they do
Very beautiful and surrounded by nature, but lack accessibility PMR and toilets at the reception
Interesting in many ways: human, historical, ancestral working methods. A blow of fresh air in our digital world or the I.A makes this old know-how obsolete. Makes you think.
Plan 4 hours of good visit and if possible a pleasant time
Playful and informative. .a superb way to approach history. Staff very pleasant and open to clear and accessible explanations.
Excellent, for families with children and suitable for school groups. Lots of workshops to do on site (don't forget to book before). Plan the day a day to visit and spend time with the animators (very attentive and answer questions with professionalism and smile)
What a wonderful journey through time! With simplicity, efficiency and passion, the permanent staff, the volunteers, the craftsmen will know how to make you spend a wonderful day. Educational and demonstrative activities suitable for both young and old. Creative workshops, animals - horses, rare hens, etc. - intended for the enjoyment of all. Something to eat as well. We tried the very hearty and delicious medieval meal made with local products. I think we will be back !!!
A very fun place. The employees, in period costumes, use all the methods and materials of the past. They also share their medieval knowledge with visitors.
Avoid checkout 1: it is not indicated but c checkout for groups and C very long
A good proof that "madness" can lead to beautiful things. It's a great challenge and as one person working on the site said: "It's during construction that you have to go, live the experience with the atmosphere, afterwards, it will just be a castle ...". It s another world to see these professionals working the old fashioned way, exciting, to see.
Magnificent site where we dive into the thirteenth century with demonstrations of trades as was done at the time.
An interesting and rewarding day. The construction is fully funded by us visitors. I recommend
To do and to do again, we never see the same thing!
Great tourist and educational place, all the volunteers are adorable.
Between history and experience the visit is magical and the project so incredible ... Everyone should go ....
Excellent place, full of good things to see, very interesting, at any age ...
Super passage in the Middle Ages. The explanations of the old trades are more than alive and very well represented by the "volunteers" dressed of time. I spent a half day very informative. Unique in the world, must go.
Super interesting, great team, we eat very well unlike the zoo which defend the great apes but sell nutella ...
I loved this ride but a little expensive for what it is
Excellent welcome, easy and privileged contact with the craftsmen. It takes 1 full day to see and discover everything. High quality work.
It is magnificent to be able to watch live the progress of a medieval building using all the engineering techniques of the time.
It is a very beautiful site. Perfect for a family visit, and the area is beautiful.
Ideal to dive back into the past with the working mode of our ancestors. We touch from the first to the last stone. A true communion! I just love it !
An original place rich in historical lessons. To see a medieval construction of this magnitude build over the years is incredible.
A site to visit to discover a superb castle from another era built by passionate professionals.
Very informative, the craftsmen are very warm, we can easily ask questions to learn more about their methods. A great project to come and discover, even on multiple visits to see the evolution. The food is also pretty good, organic choices, with options for vegetarians. Access for people with reduced mobility possible throughout most of the visit (without the upper floors of the castle).
Great! If you like history, craftsmanship and culture, you should stop by here. Ok, in summer the course is very busy. Full! It makes sense to be there by 10 o'clock at the latest. It is worthwhile in any case. Here since 1998 a medieval castle was built, as it was then built (12th century). A quarry, an old sawmill, stonemasons, masons, carpenters, the associated supply, everything live as in the old age of knights. A leap in the past. Rocks are cut, wood split into roof shingles, carved, pottery, dyed, woven, weeded, ...
Very cool ! A medieval fortified castle under construction, you will only see it once in your life!
I drove to the region to see this building. Have seen a documentary about it before and was really fascinated by the place. Unfortunately, you don't get to know as much on site as in the documentaries, and it's really crowded. Maybe for the spring break when the locals don't have a vacation. Unfortunately was there in the summer and found it really too crowded.
10 in 2012. Really pleasant and well worth the detour.
All simply magnificent. In addition, quality catering at reasonable prices.
Plunge into medieval times guaranteed.
Colossal site. The people who work listen to visitors and give a lot of explanations.
To visit with the family
Superb construction as in the days of knights. Construction to see and see again in time. To follow evolution
A feat !! An exceptional place. I go there every 3 years to follow the progress of the construction. Exciting.
Magnificent, interesting, educational. The artisans working on site are not stingy with information.
Strongly other initiatives of this kind.
The maximum experience to do in our age. The only true approach to low tech and off-the-grid. Important for engineers and children, very pleasant place.
We had a good day thanks especially to the 2 people we saw at the mill. A wealth of knowledge
Very nice project, the artisans are eloquent towards the public. Go absolutely!
The place is superb by its location. Forest. Clearing. ..the castle, a colossal work. .. We chose the free visit. This enriched by multiple exchanges with artisans who respond to our curiosity by giving us their More
Always so beautiful and very interesting. We love to go after a few years and notice this beautiful construction!
This is an interesting site to visit. A relatively recently built site, not complete but interesting to see all of the work still being done to it in the style of the medieval times.
A pationed team. Very good idea. Very informative. Beware of those who do not like to dirty their feet. Place that is worth seeing. I would go back
Beautiful site, really exotic. A visit to do absolutely before they finish. And the people working there are very friendly and answer all your questions with pleasure :)
Superb place to visit for all those who do not know
Great trip to the time of visitors with our baby and our dog
To discover in family, ideal for the young ones as the big ones. Attention to the influx in high season.
Passionate people are enough to instill the desire to learn and go further to return later.
Congratulations to the team
An undeniable historical interest, it is advisable to book the tickets on the internet if you do not want to lose a certain time in the queue from the beginning. It is also better to bring your broken crust if you do not want to wait in endless queues
