Building a castle from the 12th century to the 21st century with the know-how and tools of the time is quite a challenge, successful.

Our guide (Amandine) was very interesting and pedagogue, well done!
Very nice stone carving workshop.

The site is superb, too bad the guide was not up to the task ... 1h30 of blabla repeating the same things over and over, a ton of explanation on the outside and when going inside the castle "visit finished ask my colleagues to tell you about it",

Really a shame to pay 80 for 20 people and be so disappointed!

The only 13th century castle under construction in Europe and certainly in the world ... very instructive in terms of architecture and construction techniques, both for adults and for children

Beautiful intention. To visit with his children to educate them. Several quality workshops. A castle with an original concept and a successful realization. My only downside is the price of access that I find too high especially for a family with three children.

I really liked the complete site the middle ages is perfectly recreated I highly recommend this site takes a day to visit the whole site and watch, the passionate craftsmen explain and work in front of you exciting for those who love the middle ages

Amazing and unusual place to visit, really interesting to see a castle being built from scratch in the medieval ways. Great farm area. Great cafes and gift shops. Nice day out.

Very interesting. I went there 15 years ago it has progressed well. A tip, avoid between 13 and 14h, lunch time and where the workshops are closed.

Definitely recommended, castle under construction according to old customs. If you can understand French even more interesting!

We rented a cottage nearby, took wall pass tickets and came every afternoon of the week without getting tired ...; and we will come back in two or three years ...

I came in 1998 to the inauguration, there was only the cordist, the barn and the foundations of the castle ... What a change. Always so exciting, with very educated people and adoring their profession !! To do and redo to see the evolution!
Nb: come with the picnic, or eat off the shelf because the restorations are stormed at noon.

It is quite unusual to see a castle under construction as in the Middle Ages! The mediation team is very good and we had a pleasant day.
A little disappointed, however, that 'selective sorting' does not consider organic matter and paper as recoverable waste (on the other hand they use dry toilets)

This site is extraordinary, this idea of building a medieval castle with artisans who explain their work to visitors, in the context of experimental archeology is purely brilliant. A must see !

Guide with a lot of knowledge about the time and the trades that participated in the construction of the castle.
For small and big this visit is very playful.

I went there and it was great stonemasons, blacksmiths, tailpiece, dyes. There were also chickens and geese wandering in the passage. But you had to be careful with digitals.

The construction site is not moving very fast and yet the number of visitors is constantly increasing, ie more revenue to finance ... I'm wrong? I wonder what is the name of this company that manages all I did not see it appear? Otherwise very good guide.
