I am not sure what the purpose of this is, a construction project or tourist attraction. !! It's a fun project, but I think it's more of a tourist attraction. Admission is very pricey for what you get. A number of craftsmen who show in a hut how roof tiles are baked or how wooden roof tiles are made. A few people who cut stones and that was all about it. I personally don't think it's worth a visit especially at those prices.

It has been just over 20 years that some enthusiasts have decided to build a fortified castle using the methods of the early Middle Ages. They recreated all the trades of the time necessary for this creation. It is therefore a very educational place for children (and older children) to discover life in these remote ages. The different craftsmen are very friendly and do not hesitate to explain their trade and the working methods well. A real good in the past.

Nice and rewarding. Site tourist virtue but nice. Flat on the maintenance of abandoned vegetable gardens (permaculture yes but no absence!) And the corner of the masons where despite the appointment time for the film there was no one to start.

Always so impressive and exciting. We came a few years ago, the castle continues to develop. Hat for the construction of the functional mill. Companions on the spot in their great majority sympathetic and pedagogue. Varied activities. Special mention for the chemical-comic show that made our 3-year-old child die laughing.

Very nice visit for this last weekend of August. Great guided tour. Just a little flat for the restaurant, we expected to eat middle-aged and the restaurant no longer exists, a shame. I still recommend for a beautiful day of discovery and visit

A wonder. We visited this summer, even 300,000 visitors a year and yet, there is no queuing, there are so many small workshops craftsmen, we find his happiness. We must touch what must be a construction site in the Middle Ages. Artistic animators accessible, attentive, not jaded and who does not hesitate to express their opinion on the restoration of heritage today in France, I think especially of our Lady of Paris. I visited a lot of heritage site in France (it was my job) and it is exceptional because we find a soul and therefore sense. Family with 3 children, everyone enjoyed. Thanks to the whole team.

Really brilliant, a leap in the past, a discovery of the building trades in the Middle Ages and an extraordinary achievement. A pleasant moment to spend with the family, enriching for adults and children alike.

For those who don't know, it's nice! My 8 year old daughter liked it. The workers are generally available but sometimes pretentious ... Not to be missed, the coin mechanism! He is great!!
The restoration is remarkably slow !! 40 min for 2 terrible sandwiches and a drink! Lack of road signs at the exit of the site!

Very nice visit or dogs on a leash are welcome. Everything is interesting! Old-fashioned staff are always available to provide information.
Small downside you have to wait 1:30 pm to visit the water mill ...
I recommend for both adults and children.

The work of these workers is extraordinary. Interesting visit for young and old. We can spend a beautiful day there. Precautions taken against covid but many do not respect the wearing of a mask among visitors! Pity

Very nice site to visit where we learn a lot about the technical means of building a castle with a representation of trades of yesteryear like blacksmith, tile maker, carpenter etc. I recommend it to do if you are in the area

Superb place where we see the evolution of their work by passionate people and companions of duty. We took a guide (frankly do not deprive it is not a big difference on the price of the entry) explanations are rewarding and interesting. The people are welcoming and warm I highly recommend. It was a real pleasure for this weekend of 4 days to August 15.
