It's a very nice place, we are completely immersed in the Middle Ages, we discover the gestures and practices of the craftsmen of the time, the tools, the machines ... And then the result, although it is not not finished is just beautiful! To do with the family, children love it!

The absolute hammer and a must for every medieval fan.
Due to 42 degrees not so many visitors were there as described. I was very lucky, because there is a lot to see.

This castle is terrible is attractive the scale that the site has taken in a few years I liked the staging around the castle. Strangely enough, the castle is forgotten because of the interest in the workshops and the people who often animate them, craftsmen passionate about the time and their work. The show is great, this site is interesting and captivating you would not be disappointed either by the catering; I highly recommend this site.

Were there in the second year 1999 when they started ...... then there in 2005 and 2018. Incredible, fascinating and totally impressive. Experience history, take part, contribute ........ simply a MUST who can be enthusiastic about history and architecture. Pure craftsmanship !!!!!!!

Nice to visit rather big place, a pity that the actors who explains to you the way of manufactured such thing or such its a little cold welcome, on the other hand very good explanation of the dyer and very smiling. I do not recommend expensive on-site meals for what you find on your plate, come with your snacks.

Spectacular and very welcome speakers inexperienced explanations.
By cons endless waiting to access the restoration. Bring your picnic will save you an hour of waiting in full wind ...

A unique site, very interesting visit ... The discovery and the implementation of all these ancient technical prowess are great. And a lot of admiration for the craftsmen whose hard work is hard and who also answer visitors' questions.
For the grumpy, yes the parking is stony ... but free. The restoration not top but we are not there for that, there are airs of picnic. And if it rains, avoid the sandals ...

Frankly disappointed ... the entrance fees are excessive for what it is especially that the workshops are unfortunately non-existent. No real animation. We quickly go around. Frankly from the reviews I was expecting something extraordinary ...

Very rewarding guided tour, the place is exceptional, the construction is carried out as in the Middle Ages with the same techniques. The guides and artisans are very friendly and explain their job very well.
On the other hand, avoid catering, very expensive for a very very average menu, to be avoided absolutely.
In case of rain the place is very muddy.

This place is very impressive. It is a journey back in time which has craft, perseverance and talent as its vehicle. People on site are just waiting to share their knowledge. They are not stingy with patience and response. The construction site is immense, the exciting experience. To visit absolutely. Activities and shows enliven the whole. Even the children are delighted.

Visit to recommend to all .. it's just excellent, all the trades are very available for all our questions. Congratulations!

Interesting for young and old! You can certainly walk around for a few hours. There are parts in full sun, but the wooded area around it offers enough cooling on a warm day. Nice to see the old crafts and materials in use. The tour (various languages) is a good addition and works well! The tour in Dutch is not there every day. Booking tickets through the site is very easy. You can also see there when the Dutch tour is available. Naturally, you can also purchase tickets on location. You can walk in and out of the area through a stamping machine at the exit. Stamp on your hand and you can go back in later. For example, packing in the car is no problem. There is even a charging point for an electric car. It worked out well.

A really interesting visit, the employees are really nice and teach you a lot. In addition, it is a place to revisit because it is quite fascinating to see the progress of the site. A rumor about the construction of a medieval village after the castle is circulating, I really hope it will come to pass.

Very nice day with our children aged 8 and 10 years old. I booked on the site the tickets, the picnic and the animations.
From 10h to 17h the day went too fast.
Touched by the welcome of craftsmen, passionate, invested, educated. They like to transmit, to exchange with the public.
The picnic, too rich for children but really good value, for 10 a sandwich of very good quality (products and taste), chips (quality) and a cake that children have finished for their to taste.
A live performance "alchemy" with a comedian company "Blue Cloud": great moment of enchantment and laughter.
The guided tour, a long walk for the kids and we did not see the guide leaving, just misses a can of voice, especially that many people do not put their phone in silence: receive calls, notifications ... Everything to along the guided tour. It is the artisans who serve as a guide which makes it a very interesting interactive tour.
Delighted and amazed by this visit of Guedelon.

Great place to spend a day but lunch menu is limited and queues are long. Take your own food

An exceptional place and project. Passionate staff, even if sometimes a bit jaded to explain the same thing 100 times during the day (this is understandable). We learn a lot. I went there 10 years ago, today the place has changed a lot, but it's still just as extraordinary to visit and learn. I recommend everyone to spend once in their life!

Very nice educational project. Very nice with children

Discovery of a fortified castle under construction with fun workshops for all stages of construction. Some animals (sheep, horses, donkeys), shows and entertainment. Outings enjoyed by the whole family!

This place is magical. Since the beginning I come every 2 years. The progress of the construction is amazing. This is the realization of the drawbridge which is currently the part under construction. The mill active for 3 years completes the structure.
The gardens are filling and the pigments are now extracted from the plants and surrounding lands.
For the children it is an incredible chance to be immersed thus in the 12th and 13th century. The workshops integrate them and the workers are prolix in information.

It's a construction site so come as such, with good shoes that do not fear anything.
We eat on-site dishes or snack prepared from organic products.

Very interesting, we learn a lot of things. It was awesome!
